1: If [G1437] you should sit down [G2523] to have supper [G1172] at [G1909] table [G5132] of a monarch [G1413], intelligibly comprehend [G3539] the [things] [G3588] being placed near [G3908] you [G1473]!
2: And [G2532] give attention [G1911] to the [G3588] your hand [G5495][G1473]! looking [at] [G1492] that [G3754] for such [things] [G5108] for you [G1473] [it is] a must [G1163] to make preparations [G3903]; but if [G1487][G1161] you are insatiable ,
3: do not [G3361] desire [G1937] the [G3588] his food [G1473]; for these [G3778][G1063] have [G2192] life [G2222] a false [G5571].
4: Do not [G3361] reach forth , needy [G3993] being , to rich [G4145]! the [G3588] but [G1161] in your [G4674] insight [G1771] be at a distance !

19: Hear , O son [G5207], and [G2532] wise [G4680] be [G1096], and [G2532] straighten out [G2720] the reflections [G1771] of your [G4674] heart [G2588]!
20: Do not be [G3361] a winebibber [G3630], nor [G3366] stretch out [G1614] couplings , of meats [G2907] nor [G5037] purchasings !
21: For every [G3956][G1063] intoxicated one [G3183] and [G2532] whoremonger will be poor [G4433]; and [G2532] will put on [G1746] torn [G1284] and [G2532] ragged [garments every [G3956] sleepy one .
22: Hear , O son [G5207], father [G3962] the [G3588] engendering [G1080] you [G1473], and [G2532] do not [G3361] disdain [G2706] that [G3754] has grown old [G1095] your [G1473] the [G3588] mother [G3384]!
23: truth Acquire [G2932]! and [G2532] you should not thrust away [G3361] wisdom [G4678] and [G2532] instruction [G3809] and [G2532] understanding [G4907].
24: well [G2573] nourishes [G1625] father [G3962] A just [G1342]; by [G1909] and [G1161] son [G5207] a wise [G4680] is gladdened [G2165] the [G3588] his soul [G5590][G1473].
