1: And it came to pass [G1096][G1161] in [G1722] the [G3588] that time [G2540][G1565], Judah went [G2597] from the [G3588] brothers of him [G1473], and [G2532] he arrived unto [G2193] before [G4314] a man certain [G5100] of Adullam, whose [G3739] name [was [G3686] Hirah.
2: And [G2532] saw [G1492] there [G1563] Judah] a daughter [G2364] of a Canaanite man , whose [G3739] name [was [G3686] Shuah. And [G2532] he took [G2983] her [G1473], and [G2532] entered [G1525] to [G4314] her [G1473].
3: And [G2532] she conceived [G4815] [and] bore [G5088] a son [G5207], and [G2532] she called [G2564] the [G3588] name [G3686] of him [G1473], Er.
4: And [G2532] she conceived [G4815] [and] bore [G5088] a son [G5207] still [again [G2089], and [G2532] she called [G2564] the [G3588] name [G3686] of him [G1473], Onan.
5: And [G2532] adding [G4369] she bore [G5088] a son [G5207], and [G2532] she called [G2564] the [G3588] name [G3686] of him [G1473], Shelah. And she [G3778][G1161] was in [G1722] Chezib when [G2259] she bore [G5088] them [G1473].
6: And [G2532] Judah took [G2983] a wife [for [G1135] Er the [G3588] his first-born [G4416][G1473], whose [G3739] name [G3686] [was] Tamar.
7: And it came to pass [G1096][G1161] Er first-born [G4416] of Judah [was] wicked [G4190] before [G1725] Boss '[G2962]; and [G2532] killed him [G1473] the [G3588] God '[G2316].
8: said [G2036] And [G1161] Judah the [G3588] to Onan, Enter [G1525] to [G4314] the [G3588] wife [G1135] of the [G3588] your brother [G1473], and [G2532] ally to her by marriage [G1918][G1473], and [G2532] raise up seed [G4690] to the [G3588] your brother [G1473]!

For he said [G2036][G1063], Lest at any time [G3379] should die also [G2532] this [one [G3778] as [G5618] also [G2532] the [G3588] brothers of him [G1473]. going forth And [G1161] Tamar] settled [G2521] in [G1722] the [G3588] house [G3624] of the [G3588] her father [G3962][G1473].
12: multiplied [G4129] And [G1161] the [G3588] days [G2250], and [G2532] died Shuah the [G3588] wife [G1135] of Judah]. 14: And [G2532] removing [G4014] the [G3588] garments [G2440] of the [G3588] widowhood from herself [G1438], she put around [G4016] a lightweight covering , and [G2532] bedecked [herself , and [G2532] sat down [G2523] by [G4314] the [G3588] gates [G4439] of Enaim, which [G3739] is in [G1722] byway [G3938] of Timnath. For she knew [G1492][G1063] that [G3754] older [G3173] was [G1096] Shelah], but he [G1473][G1161] did not [G3756] give [G1325] her [G1473] to him [G1473] as wife [G1135].
15: And [G2532] seeing [G1492] her [G1473] Judah], assumed [G1380] her [G1473] to be a harlot [G4204]. For she covered up [G2619][G1063] the [G3588] her face [G4383][G1473], and [G2532] not [G3756] he recognized [G1921] her [G1473].

17: And the [G3588][G1161] he said [G2036], I [G1473] will send to you [G1473] a kid [G2056] of goats from out of [G1537] the [G3588] my flocks [G4263][G1473]. And she the [G3588][G1161] said [G2036], You should give [G1437][G1325] a deposit until [G2193] the [G3588] you send [it [G1473].
18: And the [G3588][G1161] he said [G2036], What [G5100] the [G3588] deposit will I give to you [G1473][G1325]? the [G3588] And [G1161] she said [G2036], the [G3588] Your ring [G1146][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] pendant , and [G2532] the [G3588] rod [G4464] the [G3588] in [G1722] the [G3588] your hand [G5495][G1473]. And [G2532] he gave [them [G1325] to her [G1473], and [G2532] he entered [G1525] to [G4314] her [G1473]. And [G2532] in [G1722] womb [G1064] she conceived [G2983] from [G1537] him [G1473].
19: And [G2532] rising up she went forth . And [G2532] she removed [G4014] the [G3588] her lightweight garment [G1473] from herself [G1438], and [G2532] put on [G1746] the [G3588] garments [G2440] of the [G3588] her widowhood [G1473].
20: sent And [G1161] Judah] the [G3588] kid [G2056] of [G1537] goats by [G1722] hand [G5495] of the [G3588] his shepherd [G4166][G1473] the [G3588] Adullamite, to deliver [G2865] by [him [G3844] to the [G3588] woman [G1135] the [G3588] deposit . And [G2532] he did not [G3756] find [G2147] her [G1473].
21: And he asked [G1905][G1161] the [G3588] men of the [G3588] [G1537] the [G3588] place [G5117], Where [G4226] is the [G3588] harlot [G4204], the [one] the [G3588] being [G1096] in [G1722] Enaim upon [G1909] the [G3588] way [G3598]? And [G2532] they said [G2036], no [G3756] there was here harlot [G4204].
22: And [G2532] he returned to [G4314] Judah, and [G2532] said [G2036], I did not [G3756] find [her [G2147], and [G2532] the [G3588] men , the [G3588] [ones] from [G1537] the [G3588] place [G5117], say [G3004], There was no [G3361] here [G5602] harlot [G4204].
23: said [G2036] And [G1161] Judah], Let her have [G2192] them [G1473], but lest at any time [G3379] we should be ridiculed [G2606], I [G1473] indeed [G3303] sent the [G3588] this kid [G2056][G3778], but you [G1473][G1161] have not [G3756] found her [G2147].
24: And it came to pass [G1096][G1161] after [G3326] three months [G5150], it was announced the [G3588] to Judah, saying [G3004], fornicated [G1608] Tamar the [G3588] your daughter-in-law [G3565][G1473]. And [G2532] look [G2400], in [G1722] womb [G1064] she has [one [G2192] out of [G1537] harlotry [G4202]. said [G2036] And [G1161] Judah], Lead [G1806] her out [G1473], and [G2532] let her be incinerated [G2618]!
25: her [G1473] And [G1161] [while] conveying ', she sent to [G4314] the [G3588] her father-in-law [G3995][G1473], saying [G3004], From [G1537] the [G3588] man whom [G3739][G5100] these [things] [G3778] are I [G1473] in [G1722] womb [G1064] have [one [G2192]. And [G2532] she said [G2036], Recognize [G1921] whose [G5100] the [G3588] ring [G1146] and [G2532] the [G3588] pendant and [G2532] the [G3588] rod [G4464] these [are [G3778]!

28: And it came to pass [G1096][G1161] in [G1722] the [G3588] her bearing [G5088][G1473], the [G3588] [one] [G1520] put forth first the [G3588] hand [G5495]. And taking [it [G2983][G1161], the [G3588] midwife tied [G1210] upon [G1909] the [G3588] his hand [G5495][G1473] a scarlet [thread [G2847], saying [G3004], This [one [G3778] will come forth [G1831] prior [G4387].
29: And as [G5613][G1161] he retracted [G1996] the [G3588] hand [G5495], [G2532] straightway came forth [G1831] the [G3588] brother of him [G1473]. the [G3588] And [G1161] she said [G2036], Why [G5100] was cut because of [G1223] you [G1473] barrier [G5418]? And [G2532] she called [G2564] the [G3588] name [G3686] of him [G1473], Pharez.
30: And [G2532] after [G3326] this [G3778] came forth [G1831] the [G3588] brother of him [G1473], of [G1909] which [G3739] was upon [G1909] the [G3588] his hand [G5495][G1473] the [G3588] scarlet [thread [G2847]. And [G2532] she called [G2564] the [G3588] name [G3686] of him [G1473] Zarah.
