Acts Chapter 28 -

1
And [G2532] having come through safe [G1295], then [G5119] they knew [G1921] that [G3754] Malta the [G3588] island [G3520] is called [G2564].
2
And the [G3588][G1161] barbarians furnished [G3930] no [G3756] the [G3588] chance [G5177] humane treatment [G5363] to us [G1473]; for having lit [G1063] a bonfire [G4443], they took unto themselves [G4355] all [G3956] of us [G1473], because of [G1223] the [G3588] rain [G5205] the [G3588] attending [G2186], and [G2532] because of [G1223] the [G3588] chilliness [G5592].
3
bundled up [G4962] And [G1161] the [G3588] Paul of sticks [G5434] a multitude [G4128], and [G2532] having placed [them [G2007] on [G1909] the [G3588] bonfire [G4443], a viper [G2191] from [G1537] the [G3588] heat [G2329] having gone completely through , clinched onto [G2510] the [G3588] his hand [G5495][G1473].
4
And when [G5613][G1161] looked [at] [G1492] the [G3588] barbarians hanging [G2910] the [G3588] beast [G2342] from [G1537] the [G3588] his hand [G5495][G1473], they said [G3004] to [G4314] one another , Assuredly [G3843] is a murderer [G5406] the [G3588] this man [G3778], whom [G3739] having been delivered [G1295] from [G1537] the [G3588] sea [G2281], the [G3588] Dice [G1349] to live [G2198] allowed not [G3756][G1439].
5
He indeed the [G3588][G3303] then [G3767], having brushed off the [G3588] beast [G2342] into [G1519] the [G3588] fire [G4442], suffered [G3958] no [G3762] hurt [G2556].
6
And the [G3588] [ones] [G1161] expecting [G4328] him [G1473] to be about [G3195] to become inflamed [G4092], or [G2228] to fall down [G2667] suddenly dead [G3498], for [G1909] a long [time] [G4183] and [G1161] of their [G1473] expecting [G4328] and [G2532] viewing [G2334] nothing [G3367] out of place to [G1519] him [G1473] was happening [G1096], changing [their minds [G3328], they said [G3004] a god [G2316] him [G1473] to be .
7
And in [G1722][G1161] the [parts the [G3588] around [G4012] the [G3588] that place [G5117][G1565] existed [G5224] a place [G5564] [belonging to] for the [G3588]emost [man [G4413] of the [G3588] island [G3520], by name [G3686] Publius, who [G3739] having received us [G1473], three [G5140] days [G2250] obligingly [G5390] lodged [us [G3579].
8
And it happened [G1096][G1161] the [G3588] father [G3962] of the [G3588] Publius [with] fevers [G4446] and [G2532] dysentery [G1420] constrained [G4912] reclined [G2621]; to [G4314] whom [G3739] the [G3588] Paul having entered [G1525], and [G2532] having prayed [G4336], having placed [G2007] the [G3588] hands [G5495] on him [G1473], healed [G2390] him [G1473].
9
This [G3778] then [G3767] having taken place [G1096], also [G2532] the [G3588] rest [G3062] -- the [G3588] [ones] having [G2192] sicknesses in [G1722] the [G3588] island [G3520] came forward [G4334], and [G2532] were cured [G2323];
10
the ones who [G3739] also [G2532] with much [G4183] honor [G5092] esteemed [G5091] us [G1473], and [G2532] embarking , placed [G2007] the [things] [G3588] for [G4314] the [G3588] [our] need [G5532].
11
And after [G3326][G1161] three [G5140] months [G3376] we embarked in [G1722] a boat [G4143], having passed the winter [G3914] in [G1722] the [G3588] island [G3520], an Alexandrian marked by the ensign [G3902] Dioscuri.
12
And [G2532] leading down [G2609] unto [G1519] Syracuse, we remained [G1961] days [G2250] three [G5140].
13
From where [G3606] having gone around [G4022] we arrived [G2658] at [G1519] Rhegium. And [G2532] after [G3326] one [G1520] day [G2250] ensued [G1920] a south [wind [G3558]; on the second day [G1206] we came [G2064] into [G1519] Puteoli;
14
where [G3739] having found [G2147] brothers we were appealed [G3870] upon [G1909] by them [G1473] to remain [G1961] days [G2250] seven [G2033]; and [G2532] thus [G3779] to [G1519] the [G3588] Rome we came [G2064].
15
And from there [G2547] the [G3588] brothers having heard the [things] [G3588] concerning [G4012] us [G1473], came forth [G1831] to [G1519] meet us [G1473] as far as Appii Forum and [G2532] Three Taverns; whom [G3739] Paul seeing [G1492] the [G3588], having given thanks [G2168] the [G3588] to God '[G2316], he took [G2983] courage [G2294].
16
And when [G3753][G1161] we came [G2064] unto [G1519] Rome, the [G3588] centurion [G1543] delivered up [G3860] the [G3588] prisoners [G1198] to the [G3588] commander of the camp [G4759]. the [G3588] But [G1161] to Paul was committed [G2010] to remain [G3306] by [G2596] himself [G1438] with [G4862] the [G3588] guarding [G5442] him [G1473] soldier [G4757].
17
And it came to pass [G1096][G1161] after [G3326] days [G2250] three [G5140] calling together [G4779] the [G3588] Paul] the [G3588] [ones] being of the [G3588] Jews foremost [G4413], having come together [G4905] and [G1161] they [G1473], he said [G3004] to [G4314] them [G1473], Men , brothers , I [G1473] nothing [G3762] against [G1727] having done [G4160] the [G3588] people [G2992] or [G2228] the [G3588] customs [G1485] the [G3588] paternal [G3971], a prisoner [G1198] from [G1537] Jerusalem was delivered up [G3860] into [G1519] the [G3588] hands [G5495] of the [G3588] Romans.
18
Who [G3748] having questioned me [G1473], wanted [G1014] to loose me , on account of [G1223] the [G3588] not one [G3367] reason for death [G2288] being [G5224] in [G1722] me [G1473].
19
disputing But [G1161] the [G3588] Jews], I was compelled to call upon [G1941] Caesar; not [G3756] as [G5613] the [G3588] my tradition-people (ethnic) '[G1484][G1473] having [G2192] anything [G5100] to accuse [G2723].
20
For [G1223] this [G3778] reason then [G3767] the [G3588] I appealed to [G3870] you [G1473], to see [G1492] and [G2532] to speak to you [G4354]; for on account [G1752][G1063] of the [G3588] hope [G1680] of the [G3588] Israel the [G3588] [with] this chain [G3778] I am encompassed [G4029].
21
And they the [G3588][G1161] to [G4314] him [G1473] said [G2036], We [G1473] neither [G3777] letters [G1121] concerning [G4012] you [G1473] received [G1209] from the [G3588] Judea, nor [G3777] having come [G3854] [has] any one [G5100] of the [G3588] brothers reported or [G2228] spoke [G2980] anything [G5100] concerning [G4012] you [G1473] bad [G4190].
22
But we deem it worthy [G1161] from [G3844] you [G1473] to hear what [G3739] you think [G5426]; for indeed concerning [G4012][G3303][G1063] the [G3588] this sect [G3778], it is known [G1110] to us [G1473] that [G3754] everywhere [G3837] it is spoken against .
23
And arranging [G5021][G1161] for him [G1473] a day [G2250], there came [G2240] to [G4314] him [G1473] unto [G1519] the [G3588] [his] guest room [G3578] many more [G4183]; to whom [G3739] he expounded [G1620] testifying [G1263] the [G3588] government ' of the [G3588] God '[G2316], and persuading [G3982][G5037] them [G1473] the [things] [G3588] concerning [G4012] the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]), from both [G5037] the [G3588] law [G3551] of Moses and [G2532] of the [G3588] prophets [G4396], from morning [G4404] until [G2193] evening [G2073].
24
And [G2532] some indeed the [G3588][G3303] were persuaded [G3982] to the [things] [G3588] being said [G3004], and some the [G3588][G1161] disbelieved .
25
And disharmony [G1161] being with [G4314] one another , they retired [at] having spoken [G2036] the [G3588] Paul discourse [G4487] one [G1520], that [G3754], Well [G2573] the [G3588] wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151] of the [G3588] [one] pure ' spoke [G2980] through [G1223] Isaiah the [G3588] prophet [G4396] to [G4314] the [G3588] our fathers [G3962][G1473],
26
saying [G3004], Go [G4198] to [G4314] the [G3588] this people [G2992][G3778]! and [G2532] say [G2036], In hearing you will hear , and [G2532] in no way should you perceive [G4920]; and [G2532] seeing you will see , and [G2532] in no way should you know [G1492].
27
was thickened [G3975][G1063] For [G1063] the [G3588] heart [G2588] of the [G3588] this people [G2992][G3778], and [G2532] with the [G3588] ears [G3775] heavily they heard , and [G2532] of the [G3588]ir eyes [G3788][G1473] they closed the eyelids [G2576]; lest at any time [G3379] they should see [G1492] with the [G3588] eyes [G3788], and [G2532] with the [G3588] ears [G3775] should hear , and [G2532] with the [G3588] heart [G2588] should perceive [G4920], and [G2532] should turn [G1994], and [G2532] I should heal [G2390] them [G1473].
28
known [G1110] then [G3767] Let it be to you [G1473]! that [G3754] to the [G3588] tradition-peoples (ethnics) '[G1484] was sent the [G3588] deliverance [G4992] of the [G3588] God '[G2316], and they [G1473][G2532] will hearken .
29
And [G2532] these [things] [G3778] he [G1473] having said [G2036], went forth the [G3588] Jews much [G4183] having [G2192] among [G1722] themselves [G1438] debating [G4803].
30
stayed [G3306] And [G1161] the [G3588] Paul space of two years [G1333] a whole [G3650] in [G1722] his own [G2398] hired [house [G3410], and [G2532] gladly received all [G3956] the [G3588] [ones] entering [G1531] to [G4314] him [G1473],
31
proclaiming [G2784] the [G3588] government ' of the [G3588] God '[G2316], and [G2532] teaching [G1321] the [things] [G3588] concerning [G4012] the [G3588] Boss '[G2962] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) Anointed [G5547], with [G3326] all [G3956] confidence [G3954] unrestrainedly .
