2 Chronicles Chapter 16 - | Early Church Bible

1: And [G2532] in [G1722] the [G3588] year [G2094] thirtieth [and] sixth [G3638] of the [G3588] government ' of Asa, went up Baasha king of Israel] against [G1909] Judah. And [G2532] he built [G3618] the [G3588] Ramah the [G3588] to not give [G3361][G1325] an exit [G1841] nor [G2532] entrance [G1529] the [G3588] to Asa king of Judah.
2: And [G2532] Asa took [G2983] silver and [G2532] gold [G5553] from out of [G1537] treasuries [G2344] of house [G3624] of Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] from house [G3624] of the [G3588] king , and [G2532] he sent to [G4314] the [G3588] son [G5207] of the [G3588] Hadad king of Syria, the [G3588] [one] dwelling [G2730] in [G1722] Damascus, saying [G3004],
3: Ordain [G1303] a covenant [G1242] between me [G1473] and [G2532] between you [G1473], and [G2532] between the [G3588] father [G3962] of me [G1473] and [G2532] between the [G3588] father [G3962] of us [G1473]! look [G2400], I have sent to you [G1473] gold [G5553] and [G2532] silver . Come [G1204], and [G2532] efface the [G3588] your covenant [G1242][G1473] with [G3326] Baasha king of Israel! and [G2532] he will go forth from me [G1473].
4: And [G2532] hearkened to son [G5207] of Hadad the [G3588] king Asa, and [G2532] sent the [G3588] rulers of the [G3588] his force [G1411][G1473] against [G1909] the [G3588] cities [G4172] of Israel. And [G2532] he struck [G3960] the [G3588] Ijon, and [G2532] the [G3588] Dan, and [G2532] the [G3588] Abel-maim, and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] places round about [G4066] Naphtali.
5: And [G2532] it happened [G1096] when [G1722] the [G3588] Baasha heard , that [G2532] he left off the [G3588] to no longer [G3371] build [G3618] the [G3588] Ramah, and [G2532] he rested [G2664] the [G3588] his work [G2041][G1473].
6: And [G2532] king Asa took [G2983] all [G3956] the [G3588] Judah; and [G2532] he lifted away all [G3956] the [G3588] stones [G3037] of the [G3588] Ramah, and [G2532] the [G3588] its timbers [G3586][G1473] which [G3739] Baasha built with [G3618]; and [G2532] he built [G3618] with [G1722] them [G1473] Geba and [G2532] the [G3588] Mizpah.
7: And [G2532] in [G1722] the [G3588] that time [G2540][G1565] came [G2064] Hanani the [G3588] prophet [G4396] to [G4314] Asa king of Judah, and [G2532] said [G2036] to him [G1473]; Because [G1722] the [G3588] you relied [G3982][G1473] upon [G1909] king of Syria, and [G2532] did not [G3361] rely [G3982] you [G1473] upon [G1909] Boss '[G2962] your God '[G2316][G1473], on account of [G1223] this [G3778] came through safe [G1295] for the [G3588]ce [G1411] of king of Syria] from [G1537] the [G3588] your hand [G5495][G1473].
8: not [G3780] the [G3588] Ethiopians and [G2532] Lubim Were [G1519] force [G1411] a vast [G4183], and [G2532] of courage [G2294] for [G1519] chariots and [G2532] horsemen [G2460] in [G1519] multitude [G4128], exceedingly [G4970]? And [G2532] in [G1722] the [G3588] your relying [G3982][G1473] upon [G1909] Boss '[G2962], he delivered [G3860] them [G1473] into [G1519] the [G3588] your hands [G5495][G1473].
9: For [G3754] the [G3588] eyes [G3788] of Boss '[G2962] look [G1914] in [G1722] all [G3956] the [G3588] land '[G1093] to strengthen [G2729] with [G3326] every [G3956] heart [G2588] perfect [G4134] towards [G4314] him [G1473]. You have known about [G1909] this [G3778]; from the [G3588] now [on [G3568] will be with [G3326] you [G1473] war [G4171].
10: And [G2532] Asa was enraged [G2373] with [G4314] the [G3588] prophet [G4396], and [G2532] he placed [G3908] him [G1473] in [G1519] house [G3624] of prison [G5438], for [G3754] he was angry [G3710] over [G1909] this [G3778]. And [G2532] Asa laid waste [G3075] among [G1722] the [G3588] people [G2992] at [G1722] the [G3588] that time [G2540][G1565].
11: And [G2532] look [G2400], the [G3588] words [G3056] of Asa, the [G3588] first [G4413] and [G2532] the [G3588] last [G2078], [are] written [G1125] upon [G1909] scroll of kings of Judah and [G2532] Israel.
12: And [G2532] Asa was infirm in [G1722] the [G3588] year [G2094] the [G3588] thirtieth and [G2532] ninth [G1766] the [G3588] of his government '[G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] feet [G4228] of him [G1473], until [G2193] [was] higher the [G3588] his infirmity . And [G2532] in [G1722] the [G3588] his infirmity [G3119][G1473] he did not [G3756] seek [G2212] the [G3588] Boss '[G2962], but the [G3588] physicians [G2395].
13: And [G2532] Asa slept [G2837] with [G3326] the [G3588] his fathers [G3962][G1473], and [G2532] he came to an end [G5053] in [G1722] for the [G3588]tieth and [G2532] first [G4413] year [G2094] of the [G3588] his government '[G1473].
14: And [G2532] they entombed [G2290] him [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] tomb [G3418] in which [G3739] he dug [G3736] for himself [G1438] in [G1722] city [G4172] of David. And [G2532] they rested him [G1473] upon [G1909] the [G3588] bed [G2825], and [G2532] they filled [G4130] it [G1473] of aromatics , and [G2532] types [G1085] perfumes [G3464] of scented . And [G2532] they made [G4160] for him [G1473] funeral a great [G3173], and [G2532] they kindled [G1572] him [G1473] burning [G2740] a great [G3173] -- unto [G2193] exceedingly [G4970].
