Deuteronomy Chapter 31 - | Early Church Bible

1: And [G2532] Moses completed [G4931] speaking [G2980] all [G3956] the [G3588] words [G3056] these [G3778] to [G4314] all [G3956] sons [G5207] of Israel.
2: And [G2532] he said [G2036] to [G4314] them [G1473], A hundred [G1540] and [G2532] twenty [G1501] years [G2094] I [G1473] am today [G4594]. I will not [G3756] be able [G1410] still [G2089] to enter [G1531] and [G2532] go forth [G1607]. For Boss '[G2962][G1161] said [G2036] to [G4314] me [G1473], You will not [G3756] pass over [G1224] the [G3588] this Jordan [G3778].
3: Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of you [G1473], the [G3588] [one] going forth [G4313] before [G4253] face [G4383] of you [G1473], he [G1473] will utterly destroy [G1842] the [G3588]se tradition-peoples (ethnics) '[G1484][G3778] from face [G4383] of you [G1473], and [G2532] you will inherit them [G1473]; and [G2532] Joshua [is] the [G3588] [one] going forth [G4313] before [G4253] face [G4383] of you [G1473], as [G2505] spoke [G2980] Boss '[G2962].
4: And [G2532] BOSS will do [G4160][G2962] to them [G1473] as [G2531] he did [G4160] to Sihon and [G2532] Og, to the [G3588] two [G1417] kings of the [G3588] Amorites, the ones who [G3739] were on the other side [G4008] of the [G3588] Jordan, and [G2532] [to the [G3588]ir land '[G1093][G1473], in so far as [G2530] he utterly destroyed [G1842] them [G1473].
5: And [G2532] delivered [G3860] them [up [G1473] Boss '[G2962] before [G1799] you [G1473]; and [G2532] you will do [G4160] to them [G1473] in so far as [G2530] I gave charge [G1781] to you [G1473].
6: Be manly and [G2532] be strong [G2480]! Do not [G3361] fear [G5399]! nor [G3366] should you be timid [G1168], nor [G3366] should you be terrified [G4422] from their face [G4383][G1473]. For [G3754] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of you [G1473], the [G3588] [one] going before [G4313] with [G3326] you [G1473] -- in no way [G3756][G3361] should he forsake you [G1473], nor in any way should he abandon you [G1473][G1459].
7: And [G2532] Moses called [G2564] Joshua, and [G2532] said [G2036] to him [G1473] before [G1725] all [G3956] Israel, Be manly and [G2532] strong [G2480]! For you [G1473][G1063] will enter [G1525] before [G4253] face [G4383] of the [G3588] this people [G2992][G3778], into [G1519] the [G3588] land '[G1093] which [G3739] BOSS swore by an oath [G3660][G2962] [to the [G3588] your fathers [G3962][G1473] to give [G1325] to them [G1473], and [G2532] you [G1473] will allot it [G1473] to them [G1473].
8: And [G2532] Boss '[G2962], the [G3588] [one] going [G4848] with [G3326] you [G1473] will not [G3756] send you [away [G1473], nor in any way abandon you [G1473][G1459]. Do not [G3361] fear [G5399] nor [G3366] be timid [G1168]!
9: And [G2532] Moses wrote [G1125] the [G3588] sayings [G4487] of the [G3588] this law [G3551][G3778] in [G1519] a scroll , and [G2532] he gave [G1325] it [G1473] to the [G3588] priests [G2409], the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Levi, the [G3588] [ones] lifting the [G3588] ark [G2787] of the [G3588] covenant [G1242] of Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] to the [G3588] elders [G4245] of the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel.
10: And [G2532] Moses gave charge [G1781] to them [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] that day [G2250][G1565], saying [G3004], After [G3326] seven [G2033] years [G2094], in [G1722] time [G2540] of year [G1763] of release , in [G1722] holiday [G1859] of pitching of tents [G4634],
11: in [G1722] the [G3588] going with [G4848] all [G3956] Israel to appear [G3708] before [G1799] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of you [G1473], in [G1722] the [G3588] place [G5117] in which [G3739] ever BOSS should choose [G1586][G2962], you will read the [G3588] this law [G3551][G3778] before [G1726] all [G3956] Israel in [G1519] the [G3588]ir ears [G3775][G1473].
12: Assemble the [G3588] people [G2992]! the [G3588] men , and [G2532] the [G3588] women [G1135], and [G2532] the [G3588] progeny [G1549], and [G2532] for the [G3588]eigner [G4339], the [G3588] [one] in [G1722] the [G3588] your cities [G4172][G1473], that [G2443] they should hear , and [G2532] that [G2443] they should learn [G3129] to fear [G5399] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of you [G1473]. And [G2532] they will hearken to do [G4160] all [G3956] the [G3588] words [G3056] of the [G3588] this law [G3551][G3778].
13: And [G2532] the [G3588]ir sons [G5207][G1473], the ones who [G3739] have not [G3756] known [G1492], they will hear , and [G2532] will learn [G3129] to fear [G5399] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of you [G1473] all [G3956] the [G3588] days [G2250], as many as [G3745] they [G1473] live [G2198] upon [G1909] the [G3588] land '[G1093], into [G1519] which [G3739] you [G1473] pass over [G1224] the [G3588] Jordan there [G1563] to inherit [G2816] it [G1473].
14: And [G2532] BOSS said [G2036][G2962] to [G4314] Moses, look [G2400], are approaching [G1448] the [G3588] days [G2250] of the [G3588] your death [G2288][G1473]; call [G2564] Joshua, and [G2532] stand [G2476] by [G3844] the [G3588] door [G2374] of the [G3588] tent [G4633] of the [G3588] testimony [G3142]! and [G2532] I will give charge [G1781] to him [G1473]. And [G2532] went [G4198] Moses and [G2532] Joshua] into [G1519] the [G3588] tent [G4633] of the [G3588] testimony [G3142], and [G2532] they stood [G2476] by [G3844] the [G3588] door [G2374] of the [G3588] tent [G4633] of the [G3588] testimony [G3142].
15: And [G2532] BOSS came down [G2597][G2962] in [G1722] a column [G4769] of cloud [G3507]. And [G2532] it stood [G2476] at [G1909] the [G3588] door [G2374] of the [G3588] tent [G4633] of the [G3588] testimony [G3142]. And [G2532] stood [G2476] the [G3588] column [G4769] of the [G3588] cloud [G3507] by [G3844] the [G3588] door [G2374] of the [G3588] tent [G4633].
16: And [G2532] BOSS said [G2036][G2962] to [G4314] Moses, look [G2400], you [G1473] go to sleep [G2837] with [G3326] the [G3588] your fathers [G3962][G1473]. And [G2532] rising up , this [G3778] the [G3588] people [G2992] will fornicate [G1608] after [G3694] alien gods '[G2316] of the [G3588] land '[G1093] into [G1519] which [G3739] this [people [G3778] enter [G1531] there [G1563] into [G1519] it [G1473]. And [G2532] they will forsake [G2641] me [G1473], and [G2532] will efface the [G3588] my covenant [G1242][G1473] which [G3739] I ordained [G1303] with them [G1473].
17: And [G2532] I will be provoked to anger [G3710] in rage [G2372] with them [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] that day [G2250][G1565], and [G2532] I will leave [G2641] them [G1473], and [G2532] I will turn the [G3588] my face [G4383][G1473] from them [G1473], and [G2532] they will be a thing devoured . And [G2532] will find [G2147] him [G1473] evils [G2556] many [G4183] and [G2532] afflictions [G2347]; and [G2532] he will say [G2046] in [G1722] the [G3588] that day [G2250][G1565], because [G1360] not [G3756] is Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of me [G1473] among [G1722] me [G1473] found [G2147] me [G1473] the [G3588]se evils [G2556][G3778].
18: And I [G1473][G1161] in turning will turn away the [G3588] my face [G4383][G1473] from them [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] that day [G2250][G1565] because of [G1223] all [G3956] the [G3588] evils [G2549] which [G3739] they did [G4160], for [G3754] they turned away unto [G1909] alien gods '[G2316].
19: And [G2532] now [G3568] write [G1125] the [G3588] words [G4487] of the [G3588] this ode [G5603][G3778], and [G2532] teach [G1321] it [G1473] to the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel! And [G2532] you will put [G1685] it [G1473] into [G1519] the [G3588]ir mouth [G4750][G1473], that [G2443] should be [G1096] to me [G1473] the [G3588] ode [G5603] this [G3778] a testimony [G3142] among [G1722] sons [G5207] of Israel.
20: For I will bring [G1521][G1063] them [G1473] into [G1519] the [G3588] land '[G1093] the [G3588] good which [G3739] I swore by an oath [G3660] [to the [G3588]ir fathers [G3962][G1473]; a land '[G1093] flowing [G4482] milk [G1051] and [G2532] honey [G3192]. And [G2532] they will eat [G2068]. And [G2532] being filled up [G1705] they will satisfy [themselves [G2880], and [G2532] will turn [G1994] to [G1909] alien gods '[G2316], and [G2532] will serve [G3000] to them [G1473], and [G2532] will provoke [G3947] me [G1473], and [G2532] will efface the [G3588] my covenant [G1242][G1473] which [G3739] I ordained [G1303] with them [G1473].
21: And [G2532] it will be whenever [G3752] will find [G2147] him [G1473] evils [G2556] many [G4183] and [G2532] afflictions [G2347], and [G2532] will stand firm the [G3588] ode [G5603] this [G3778] against [G2596] their face [G4383][G1473] witnessing [G3140]. For they should not [G3756][G1063][G3361] forget [it [G1950] from their mouth [G4750][G1473], and [G2532] from mouth [G4750] of the [G3588]ir seed [G4690][G1473]. For I [G1473][G1063] perceive [G1492] the [G3588]ir wickedness [G4189][G1473], as much as [G3745] they do [G4160] here [G5602] today [G4594], before [G4253] the [G3588] my bringing [G1521][G1473] them [G1473] into [G1519] the [G3588] land '[G1093] the [G3588] good which [G3739] I swore by an oath [G3660] [to the [G3588]ir fathers [G3962][G1473].
22: And [G2532] Moses wrote [G1125] the [G3588] this ode [G5603][G3778] in [G1722] that [G1565] the [G3588] day [G2250], and [G2532] he taught [G1321] it [G1473] to the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel.
23: And [G2532] Moses gave charge [G1781] to Joshua son [G5207] of Nun and [G2532] said [G2036], Be manly and [G2532] be strong [G2480]! For you [G1473][G1063] will bring [G1521] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel into [G1519] the [G3588] land '[G1093] which [G3739] swore by an oath [G3660] to them [G1473] Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] he [G1473] will be with [G3326] you [G1473].
24: And when [G2259][G1161] Moses completed [G4931] writing [G1125] all [G3956] the [G3588] words [G3056] of the [G3588] this law [G3551][G3778] in [G1519] a scroll , until [G2193] completion [G1519][G5056],
25: that [G2532] he gave charge [G1781] to the [G3588] Levites, to the [G3588] [ones] lifting the [G3588] ark [G2787] of the [G3588] covenant [G1242] of Boss '[G2962], saying [G3004],
26: Taking [G2983] the [G3588] scroll of the [G3588] this law [G3551][G3778], you will put [G5087] it [G1473] sideways [G1537] in the [G3588] ark [G2787] of the [G3588] covenant [G1242] of Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of you [G1473]; and [G2532] it will be there [G1563] to [G1722] you [G1473] for a [G1519] testimony [G3142].
27: For [G3754] I [G1473] know [G1987] the [G3588] aggravation [caused by] you [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] neck [G5137] your [G1473] the [G3588] hard [G4642]. For still [G2089][G1063] [in] my [G1473] living [G2198] with [G3326] you [G1473] today [G4594], embittering greatly [G3893] you [have been the [things] [G3588] towards [G4314] the [G3588] God '[G2316]; how [G4459] not so [G3780] also [G2532] at last [G2078] the [G3588] at my death [G2288][G1473]?
28: Hold an assembly for [G4314] me [G1473] of the [G3588] your tribal chiefs [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] your elders [G4245][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] your judicial recorders [G1473]! that [G2443] I should speak [G2980] into [G1519] the [G3588]ir ears [G3775][G1473] all [G3956] the [G3588] words [G3056] these [G3778]; and [G2532] I [call to] testify [G1263] to them [G1473] both the [G3588][G5037] raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772] and [G2532] the [G3588] land '[G1093].
29: For I know [G1492][G1063] that [G3754] [at the] last [G2078] of the [G3588] my decease [G5054][G1473], with lawlessness you will act lawlessly , and [G2532] will turn aside [G1578] from [G1537] the [G3588] way [G3598] of which [G3739] I gave charge [G1781] to you [G1473]; and [G2532] will meet with [G4876] you [G1473] the [G3588] evils [G2556] at [G1909] last [G2078] of the [G3588] days [G2250]; for [G3754] you will do [G4160] the [G3588] evil [G4190] before [G1725] Boss '[G2962] to provoke him to anger [G3949][G1473] by [G1722] the [G3588] works [G2041] of the [G3588] hands [G5495] of you [G1473].
30: And [G2532] Moses spoke [G2980] into [G1519] the [G3588] ears [G3775] of all [G3956] assembly [G1577] of Israel the [G3588] words [G4487] of the [G3588] this ode [G5603][G3778], until [G2193] completion [G1519][G5056].
