1 Thessalonians Chapter 5 - | Early Church Bible

1: But concerning [G4012][G1161] the [G3588] times [G5550] and [G2532] the [G3588] seasons [G2540], brothers , no [G3756] need [G5532] You have [G2192] to you [G1473] to be written [G1125],
2: yourselves [G1473] for [G1063] exactly you know [G1492] that [G3754] the [G3588] day [G2250] of Boss '[G2962] as [G5613] a thief [G2812] in [G1722] night [G3571] so [G3779] comes [G2064].
3: For whenever [G3752][G1063] they should say [G3004], Peace [G1515] and [G2532] safety , then [G5119] sudden sets upon them [G1473][G2186] ruin [G3639], as if [G5618] the [G3588] pangs [G5604] to the [G3588] [one] in [G1722] womb [G1064] having [one] [G2192]; and [G2532] in no way should they flee from [it [G1628].
4: But you [G1473][G1161], brothers , are not [G3756] in [G1722] darkness [G4655], that [G2443] the [G3588] day [G2250] you [G1473] as [G5613] a thief [G2812] should overtake [G2638].
5: all [G3956] You [G1473] sons [G5207] of light [G5457] are , and [G2532] sons [G5207] of day [G2250]; we are not [G3756] of night [G3571] nor [G3761] of darkness [G4655].
6: So then [G3767] we should not [G3361] be sleeping [G2518] as [G5613] also [G2532] the [G3588] rest [G3062]; but we should be vigilant [G1127] and [G2532] be sober [G3525].
7: For the [G3588] [ones] [G1063] sleeping [G2518], night [G3571] sleep at [G2518]; and [G2532] the [G3588] [ones] being intoxicated [G3182], at night [G3571] are intoxicated [G3184].
8: But we [G1473][G1161] being of day [G2250] should be sober [G3525], putting on [G1746] chest [plate [G2382] of trust '[G4102] and [G2532] love , and [G2532] helmet [G4030] -- hope [G1680] of deliverance [G4991].
9: For [G3754] not [G3756] set [G5087] us [G1473] the [G3588] God '[G2316] for [G1519] wrath [G3709], but for [G1519] procurement [G4047] of salvation [G4991] through [G1223]the the [G3588] Boss '[G2962] of us [G1473] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) Anointed [G5547],
10: the [one] [G3588] having died for [G5228] us [G1473]; that [G2443] whether [G1535] we be vigilant [G1127], [or] whether [G1535] we sleep [G2518], together with [G4862] him [G1473] we will live [G2198].
11: Therefore [G1352] comfort [G3870] one another , and [G2532] let build up [G3618] one [G1520] the [G3588] [other] one [G1520], as [G2531] even [G2532] you do [G4160]!
12: And we appeal to [G2065][G1161] you [G1473], brothers , to know [G1492] the [G3588] [ones] tiring in labor [G2872] among [G1722] you [G1473], and [G2532] being set over [G4291] you [G1473] in [G1722] Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] admonishing [G3560] you [G1473];
13: and [G2532] to esteem [G2233] them [G1473] superabundantly in [G1722] love on account of [G1223] the [G3588]ir work [G2041][G1473]. Make peace [G1514] among [G1722] yourselves [G1438]!
14: And we appeal to [G3870][G1161] you [G1473], brothers , admonish [G3560] the [G3588] [ones] in disorder ! Console [G3888] the [G3588] [ones] being faint-hearted [G3642]! Hold to the [G3588] weak ! Be long-suffering [G3114] to [G4314] all [G3956]!
15: See that [G3708] not [G3361] anyone [G5100] hurt [G2556] for hurt [G2556] anyone [G5100] should recompense ! but at all times [G3842] the [G3588] good pursue [G1377] both [G2532] towards [G1519] one another and [G2532] towards [G1519] all [G3956]!
16: At all times [G3842] rejoice [G5463]!
17: Continually pray [G4336]!
18: In [G1722] everything [G3956] give thanks [G2168]! for this [G3778][G1063] [is the] will [G2307] of God '[G2316] in [G1722] Anointed [G5547] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) for [G1519] you [G1473].
19: the the [G3588] wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151] Do not [G3361] extinguish [G4570]!
20: prophecies [G4394] Do not [G3361] treat] with contempt [G1848]!
21: all [things] [G3956] Prove [G1381]! the [G3588] good [G2570] Hold to [G2722]!
22: from every [G3956] appearance [G1491] of evil [G4190] Be at a distance !
23: And he [G1473][G1161], the [G3588] God '[G2316] of the [G3588] peace [G1515], may he sanctify you [G1473] perfectly complete [G3651]; and [G2532] [may] your entire [G3648][G1473] the [G3588] wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151], and [G2532] the [G3588] soul [G5590], and [G2532] the [G3588] body [G4983], blamelessly in [G1722] the [G3588] arrival [G3952] of the [G3588] Boss '[G2962] of us [G1473] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) Anointed "'[G5547] be kept [G5083].
24: [is] trustworthy [G4103] the [G3588] [one] calling [G2564] you [G1473], who [G3739] also [G2532] will act [G4160].
25: Brothers , pray [G4336] for [G4012] us [G1473]!
26: Greet the [G3588] brothers all [G3956] with [G1722] kiss [G5370] a pure '!
27: I adjure you [G3726][G1473] [by] the [G3588] Boss '[G2962], to be read for the [G3588] letter [G1992] to all [G3956] the [G3588] pure ' brothers .
