Matthew Chapter 4 - | Early Church Bible

1: Then [G5119] the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) was led into [G1519] the [G3588] wilderness [G2048] by [G5259] the [G3588] wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151], to be tested [G3985] by [G5259] the [G3588] devil [G1228].
2: And [G2532] he fasted [G3522] days [G2250] forty [G5062] and [G2532] nights [G3571] forty [G5062]; afterwards [G5305] he hungered [G3983].
3: And [G2532] having come forward [G4334] to him [G1473], the [G3588] [one] testing [G3985] said [G2036], If [G1487] you are son [G5207] of the [G3588] God '[G2316], speak [G2036]! that [G2443] the [G3588]se stones [G3037][G1473] bread loaves should become [G1096].
4: the [G3588] And [G1161] responding he said [G2036], It has been written [G1125], Not [G3756] by [G1909] bread alone [G3441] will live [G2198] a man , but by [G1909] every [G3956] word [G4487] coming forth [G1607] by [G1223] mouth [G4750] of God '[G2316].
5: Then [G5119] takes [G3880] him [G1473] the [G3588] devil [G1228] unto [G1519] the [G3588] pure ' city [G4172], and [G2532] he stands [G2476] him [G1473] upon [G1909] the [G3588] border [G4419] of the [G3588] temple [G2413].
6: And [G2532] he says [G3004] to him [G1473], If [G1487] you are son [G5207] of the [G3588] God '[G2316], throw yourself [G4572] below [G2736]! for it has been written [G1125][G1063] that [G3754], [To the [G3588] his word-conveyers (messengers) '[G1473] he will give charge [G1781] concerning [G4012] you [G1473]; and [G2532] by [G1909] hands [G5495] they will lift you [G1473], lest at any time [G3379] you should stumble [G4350] against [G4314] a stone [G3037] the [G3588] your foot [G4228][G1473].
7: said [G5346] to him [G1473] the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]), Again [G3825] it has been written [G1125], You will not put to test [G3756][G1598] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of you [G1473].
8: Again [G3825] takes [G3880] him [G1473] the [G3588] devil [G1228] unto [G1519] raised-place (mountain) '[G3735] high [G5308] an exceedingly [G3029], and [G2532] shows [G1166] to him [G1473] all [G3956] the [G3588] kingdoms of the [G3588] arrangement '[G2889], and [G2532] the [G3588]ir glory [G1391][G1473].
9: And [G2532] he says [G3004] to him [G1473], All these [G3778][G3956] I will give to you [G1473][G1325], if [G1437] falling down [G4098] you should do obeisance [G4352] to me [G1473].
10: Then [G5119] says [G3004] to him [G1473] the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]), Go [G5217] behind [G3694] me [G1473] Satan! For it is written [G1125][G1063], Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] your God '[G2316][G1473] You will do obeisance to [G4352], and [G2532] to him [G1473] alone [G3441] you will serve [G3000].
11: Then [G5119] left him [G1473] the [G3588] devil [G1228]; and [G2532] look [G2400], word-conveyers (messengers) ' came forward [G4334] and [G2532] served [G1247] to him [G1473].
12: having heard And [G1161] the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) that [G3754] John was delivered up [G3860], withdrew into [G1519] the [G3588] Galilee.
13: And [G2532] leaving [G2641] the [G3588] Nazareth, coming [G2064] he dwelt [G2730] in [G1519] Capernaum the [G3588] by the sea [G3864], in [G1722] borders [G3725] of Zebulun and [G2532] Naphtali;
14: that [G2443] should be fulfilled [G4137] the [G3588] word [G4483] through [G1223] Isaiah the [G3588] prophet [G4396], saying [G3004],
15: Land '[G1093] of Zebulun and [G2532] land '[G1093] of Naphtali, way [G3598] of sea [G2281], on the other side [G4008] of the [G3588] Jordan; Galilee of the [G3588] tradition-peoples (ethnics) '[G1484].
16: The [G3588] people [G2992] the [G3588] sitting [G2521] in [G1722] darkness [G4655] looked [at] [G1492] light [G5457] a great [G3173]; and [G2532] to the [G3588] [ones] sitting [G2521] in [G1722] a place [G5561] and [G2532] shadow [G4639] of death [G2288] light [G5457] arose to them [G1473].
17: From then [G5119] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) began the [G3588] to proclaim [G2784] and [G2532] to say [G3004], Repent [G3340]! approaches [G1448] for [G1063] the [G3588] government ' of the [G3588] raised-places-above (skies) '[G3772].
18: walking [G4043] And [G1161] the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) by [G3844] the [G3588] sea [G2281] of the [G3588] Galilee, looked [at] [G1492] two [G1417] brothers -- Simon the [G3588] [one] being called [G3004] Peter, and [G2532] Andrew the [G3588] brother of him [G1473], throwing a casting-net into [G1519] the [G3588] sea [G2281] -- for they were [G1063] fishermen .
19: And [G2532] he says [G3004] to them [G1473], Come [G1205] after [G3694] me [G1473]! and [G2532] I will make [G4160] you [G1473] fishers of men .
20: And they the [G3588][G1161] immediately [G2112] having left the [G3588] nets [G1350] followed him [G1473].
21: And [G2532] advancing [G4260] from there [G1564], he looked [at] [G1492] another two [G1417] brothers -- James the [G3588] [son of the [G3588] Zebedee, and [G2532] John the [G3588] brother of him [G1473], in [G1722] the [G3588] boat [G4143] with [G3326] Zebedee the [G3588]ir father [G3962][G1473], readying [G2675] the [G3588]ir nets [G1350][G1473]; and [G2532] he called [G2564] them [G1473].
22: the [G3588] And [G1161] immediately [G2112] having left the [G3588] boat [G4143] and [G2532] the [G3588]ir father [G3962][G1473], they followed him [G1473].
23: And [G2532] led about [G4013] all [G3650] the [G3588] Galilee the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) teaching [G1321] in [G1722] the [G3588]ir synagogues [G4864][G1473], and [G2532] proclaiming [G2784] the [G3588] good-word-conveyed (good message) '[G2098] of the [G3588] government ', and [G2532] curing [G2323] every [G3956] disease [G3554] and [G2532] every [G3956] infirmity [G3119] among [G1722] the [G3588] people [G2992].
24: And [G2532] went forth the [G3588] report of him [G1473] into [G1519] all [G3650] the [G3588] Syria. And [G2532] they brought [G4374] to him [G1473] all [G3956] the [G3588] [ones] an illness [G2560] having [G2192] with various [G4164] diseases [G3554], and [G2532] torments being held by [G4912], and [G2532] ones being demon-possessed [G1139], and ones [G2532] acting as lunatic [G4583], and [G2532] paralytics [G3885]; and [G2532] he cured [G2323] them [G1473].
25: And [G2532] followed him [G1473] crowds [G3793] great [G4183] from the [G3588] Galilee, and [G2532] Decapolis, and [G2532] Jerusalem, and [G2532] Judea, and [G2532] on the other side [G4008] of the [G3588] Jordan.
