Exodus Chapter 21 - | Early Church Bible

1: And [G2532] these [are [G3778] the [G3588] ordinances [G1345] which [G3739] you will place [G3908] before them [G1799][G1473].
2: If [G1437] you should acquire [G2932] servant [G3816] a Hebrew], six [G1803] years [G2094] he will serve [G1398] to you [G1473], but the [G3588][G1161] seventh [G1442] year [G2094] you will send [him] free [G1658] without charge [G1431].
3: If [G1437] he [G1473] alone [G3441] should enter [G1525], also [G2532] alone [G3441] he will go forth [G1831]; but if [G1437][G1161] a wife [G1135] should enter together [G4897] with [G3326] him [G1473], also [G2532] the [G3588] wife [G1135] will go out together [G1831] with [G3326] him [G1473].
4: And if [G1437][G1161] the [G3588] boss [G2962] should give [G1325] to him [G1473] a wife [G1135], and [G2532] she should bear [G5088] to him [G1473], sons [G5207] and [G2532] daughters [G2364], the [G3588] wife [G1135] and [G2532] the [G3588] children [G3813] will be the [G3588] his bosses [G2962][G1473], and he [G1473][G1161] alone [G3441] will go forth [G1831] by [G3326] himself [G1473].
5: And if [G1437][G1161] responding should have said [G2036] the [G3588] servant [G3816], I have loved the [G3588] my boss [G2962][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] my wife [G1135][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] children [G3813]; I [do] not run [G3756] free [G1658].
6: will lead [G4317] him [G1473] the [G3588] [Then] his boss [G2962][G1473] to [G4314] the [G3588] judgment seat [G2922] of the [G3588] God '[G2316], and [G2532] then [G5119] lead [G4317] him [G1473] to [G4314] the [G3588] door [G2374], unto [G1909] the [G3588] doorpost . And [G2532] will make a hole in of him '[G1473] the [G3588] boss [G2962] the [G3588] ear [G3775] with the [G3588] shoemaker's awl , and [G2532] he will serve [G1398] to him [G1473] into [G1519] the [G3588] age (term) `.
7: But if [G1437][G1161] any [G5100] should give over the [G3588] his own [G1438] daughter [G2364] as a domestic servant , she will not go forth [G3756] as [G5618] run forth the [G3588] maidservants [G1399].
8: If [G1437] she should not be well-pleasing [G3361][G2100] [to the [G3588] her boss [G2962][G1473], who [G3739] did not [G3756] solemnly promise her [G1473]; on payment of ransom he will release her [G1473]; tradition-people (ethnic) '[G1484] but [G1161] to an alien not [G3756] Boss '[G2962] is to sell [G4453] her [G1473], for [G3754] he disrespected [G1722] her [G1473].
9: And if [G1437][G1161] [to the [G3588] son [G5207] of him [G1473] he solemnly promised her [G1473], according to [G2596] the [G3588] ordinance [G1345] of the [G3588] daughters [G2364] he will commit [G4160] to her [G1473].
10: And if [G1437][G1161] another [woman he should take [G2983] to himself [G1438], the [G3588] [things] necessary [G1163], and [G2532] the [G3588] clothes [G2441], and [G2532] the [G3588] her companionship [G3657][G1473] he will not [G3756] deprive .
11: And if [G1437][G1161] the [G3588]se three [things] [G5140][G3778] he should not do [G3361][G4160] for her [G1473], she will go forth [G1831] freely [G1431], without [paying] money .
12: And if [G1437][G1161] any should strike [G3960][G5100] any [G5100], and [G2532] he should die , to death [G2288] let him be put to death [G2289]!
13: But if [it be done [G1487][G1161] not [G3756] willingly [G1635], but the [G3588] God '[G2316] delivered up [G3860] into [G1519] the [G3588] his hands [G5495][G1473], I will give [G1325] to you [G1473] a place [G5117] in which [G3739] he will flee [G5343] there [G1563] -- the [G3588] [one] man-slaying [G5407].
14: But if [G1437][G1161] any [G5100] should set against [G2007] the [G3588] neighbor [G4139] the [G3588] to kill him [G1473] by treachery [G1388], and [G2532] should take refuge [G2703]; from the [G3588] my altar [G2379][G1473] you will take [G2983] him [G1473] to be put to death [G2289].
15: Whoever [G3739] beats [G5180] his father [G3962][G1473] or [G2228] his mother [G3384][G1473], to death [G2288] he should be put to death [G2289].
16: the [one] [G3588] speaking evil [G2551] of his father [G3962][G1473] or [G2228] his mother [G3384][G1473], to death [G2288] let him come to an end [G5053]!
17: Who [G3739] ever [G1437] should steal [G2813] any [G5100] of any one [G5100] of the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel, and [G2532] tyrannizing [G2616] him [G1473], should give him over , and [G2532] should be found [G2147] with [G1722] him [G1473], to death [G2288] let him come to an end [G5053]!
18: And if [G1437][G1161] revile [each other [G3058] two [G1417] men , and [G2532] one should strike [G3960] the [G3588] neighbor [G4139] with a stone [G3037] or [G2228] fist [G4435], and [G2532] he should not die [G3361], but lies down [G2625][G1161] upon [G1909] the [G3588] bed [G2845];
19: if [G1437] in arising [G1817], the [G3588] man should walk [G4043] outside [G1854] upon [G1909] his cane [G4464][G1473], will be innocent the [one] the [G3588] striking [G3960]; except [G4133] for the [G3588] his idleness [G1473] he will pay , and [G2532] the [G3588] physician's fee .
20: But if [G1437][G1161] any [G5100] strike [G3960] the [G3588] his servant [G3816][G1473] or [G2228] the [G3588] his maidservant [G3814][G1473] with [G1722] a rod [G4464], and [G2532] [one] should die by [G5259] the [G3588] his hand [G5495][G1473], with punishment [G1349] let him be punished [G1556]!
21: And if [G1437][G1161] [the one] should continue to live day [G2250] one [G1520] or [G2228] two [G1417], he will not [G3756] be punished [G1556], for the [G3588] [G1063] his money [G1473] he is .
22: And if [G1437][G1161] should do combat [G3164] two [G1417] men , and [G2532] should strike [G3960] a woman [G1135] in [G1722] womb [G1064] having one [G2192], and [G2532] should come forth [G1831] the [G3588] her child [G3813][G1473] not [G3361] completely formed , with a fine he will be penalized [G2210], in so far [G2530] as should put upon [him [G1911] the [G3588] husband of the [G3588] woman [G1135], and [G2532] he will give [G1325] by means of [G3326] what is fit .
23: And if [G1437][G1161] completely formed it should be , he will give [G1325] life [G5590] for life [G5590],
24: eye [G3788] for eye [G3788], tooth [G3599] for tooth [G3599], hand [G5495] for hand [G5495], foot [G4228] for foot [G4228],
25: burning for burning , wound [G5134] for wound [G5134], stripe [G3468] for stripe [G3468].
26: And if [G1437][G1161] any [G5100] should strike [G3960] the [G3588] eye [G3788] of the [G3588] his man-servant [G3610][G1473], or [G2228] the [G3588] eye [G3788] of the [G3588] his female attendant [G1473], and [G2532] he should blind ; free [G1658] he will send [G1821] them [G1473] on account of the [G3588]ir eye [G3788][G1473].
27: And if [G1437][G1161] the [G3588] tooth [G3599] of the [G3588] man-servant [G3610], or [G2228] the [G3588] tooth [G3599] of the [G3588] his female attendant [G1473] he should knock out [G1581]; free [G1658] he will send [G1821] them [G1473] on account of the [G3588]ir tooth [G3599][G1473].
28: And if [G1437][G1161] should gore a bull [G5022] a man or [G2228] woman [G1135], and [G2532] [either] die ; with stones [G3037] you will stone [G3036] the [G3588] bull [G5022], and [G2532] you will not [G3756] eat of the [G3588] [its] meats [G2907][G1473]; but the [G3588][G1161] boss [G2962] of the [G3588] bull [G5022] will be innocent .
29: But if [G1437][G1161] the [G3588] bull [G5022] goring was before [G4253] the [G3588] yesterday [G5504] and [G2532] before [G4253] the [G3588] third [day before [G5154], and [G2532] [men] testified [G1263] to the [G3588] [its] boss [G2962][G1473], and [G2532] he should not [G3361] remove it [G1473]; and if it should have done away with [G1161] a man or [G2228] a woman [G1135], they will stone [G3036] the [G3588] bull [G5022], and [G2532] the [G3588] boss [G2962] of it [G1473] will die in addition .
30: And if [G1437][G1161] ransoms [G3083] should be put [G1911] to him [G1473], he will give [G1325] ransoms [G3083] for the [G3588] life [G5590] of it [G1473], as much [G3745] as [G1437] should be put upon [G1911] him [G1473].
31: And if [G1437][G1161] a son [G5207] or [G2228] daughter [G2364] should be gored , according to [G2596] the [G3588] this ordinance [G1345][G3778] they will observe [G4160] it [G1473].
32: And if [G1437][G1161] a manservant [G3816] should have gored the [G3588] bull [G5022] or [G2228] a maidservant [G3814], of silver thirty [G5144] double-drachmas [G1323] he will give [G1325] to the [G3588]ir boss [G2962][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] bull [G5022] will be stoned [G3036].
33: And if [G1437][G1161] any [G5100] should open a pit , or [G2228] a quarry [G2998] pit , and [G2532] should not [G3361] cover [G2572] it [G1473], and [G2532] should fall in [G1706] there [G1563] a calf [G3448] or [G2228] donkey [G3688],
34: the the [G3588] boss [G2962] of the [G3588] pit will pay ; money he will give [G1325] to the [G3588]ir boss [G2962][G1473], and the [G3588][G1161] [animal] coming to an end [G5053] will be of him '[G1473].
35: And if [G1437][G1161] should gore any [G5100] bull [G5022] the [G3588] bull [G5022] of the [G3588] neighbor [G4139], and [G2532] it should come to an end [G5053], they will give over the [G3588] bull [for sale [G5022] the [G3588] living [G2198], and [G2532] divide [G1244] the [G3588] money from it [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] bull [G5022] the [G3588] having died [G2348] they will divide [G1244].
36: And if [G1437][G1161] it is made known [G1107] the [G3588] bull [G5022] that [G3754] given to goring is before [G4253] the [G3588] yesterday [G5504] and [G2532] before [G4253] the [G3588] third [G5154] day [G2250], and [G2532] have been testifying [G1263] they should to the [G3588] [its] boss [G2962][G1473], and [G2532] he did not [G3361] remove it [G1473], he will pay bull [G5022] for bull [G5022], but the [G3588][G1161] [bull] coming to an end [G5053] will be of him '[G1473].
