1 Samuel Chapter 27 - | Early Church Bible

1: And [G2532] David said [G2036] in [G1722] the [G3588] his heart [G2588][G1473], saying [G3004], Now [G3568] I will be added [G4369] in [G1722] day [G2250] one [G1520] into [G1519] hands [G5495] of Saul; and [G2532] there is no [G3756] good [thing] to me [G1473] unless [G1437][G3361] I should come through safe [G1295] into [G1519] land '[G1093] of Philistines , and [G2532] should spare off me [G1473] Saul], the [G3588] seeking [G2212] me [G1473] in [G1519] every [G3956] border [G3725] of Israel, and [thus [G2532] I will be delivered [G4982] from out of [G1537] his hand [G5495][G1473].
2: And [G2532] David rose up and [G2532] passed over [G1224], he [G1473] and [G2532] the [G3588] six hundred [G1812] men the [G3588] with [G3326] him [G1473], and [G2532] he went [G4198] to [G4314] Achish, son [G5207] of Maoch, king of Gath.
3: And [G2532] David sat down [G2523] with [G3326] Achish in [G1722] Gath, he [G1473] and [G2532] the [G3588] his men [G1473], each [G1538] also [G2532] the [G3588] [with] his house [G3624][G1473], and [G2532] David and [G2532] both of the [G3588] his wives [G1135][G1473] -- Ahinoam Jezreelitess, and [G2532] Abigail the [G3588] wife [G1135] of Nabal the [G3588] Carmelite.
4: And [G2532] it was announced the [G3588] to Saul that [G3754] David fled [G5343] into [G1519] Gath, and [G2532] he did not [G3756] proceed [G4369] any longer [G2089] to seek [G2212] him [G1473].
5: And [G2532] David said [G2036] to [G4314] Achish, If [G1487] indeed [G1211] has found [G2147] the [G3588] your servant [G1401][G1473] favor [G5484] in [G1722] eyes [G3788] of you [G1473], give [G1325] indeed [G1211] to me [G1473] a place [G5117] in [G1722] one [G1520] of the [G3588] cities [G4172] of the [G3588] [ones] in the [G2596] country ! and [G2532] I will settle [G2521] there [G1563]. For [G2532] why [G2444] settle [G2521] the [G3588] [does] your servant [G1401][G1473] in [G1722] a city [G4172] reigning with [G3326] you [G1473]?
6: And [G2532] gave [G1325] to him [G1473] Achish] in [G1722] the [G3588] that day [G2250][G1565] the [G3588] Ziklag. Because of [G1223] this [G3778] Ziklag came [G1096] to the [G3588] king of the [G3588] Judea until [G2193] the [G3588] this day [G2250][G3778].
7: And [G2532] came to pass [G1096] the [G3588] number of the [G3588] days [G2250] which [G3739] David sat down [G2523] in [G1722] country of the [G3588] Philistines -- four [G5064] months [G3376].
8: And [G2532] David went up and [G2532] the [G3588] his men [G1473], and [G2532] they made an attack [G2007] upon [G1909] the [G3588] Geshurites, and [G2532] the [G3588] Gezrites, and [G2532] against [G1909] the [G3588] Amalekites. For [G3754] was inhabited [G2730] the [G3588] land '[G1093] by the [G3588] [one] from Shur and [G2532] unto [G2193] land '[G1093] of Egypt.
9: And [G2532] he struck [G5180] the [G3588] land '[G1093], and [G2532] did not [G3756] bring forth alive [G2225] man or [G2228] woman [G1135]; and [G2532] they took [G2983] flocks [G4168], and [G2532] herds , and [G2532] donkeys [G3688], and [G2532] camels [G2574], and [G2532] clothes [G2441]. And [G2532] they returned and [G2532] came [G2064] to [G4314] Achish.
10: And [G2532] Achish said [G2036] to [G4314] David, Upon [G1909] whom did [G5100] you attack [G2007] today [G4594]? And [G2532] David said [G2036] to [G4314] Achish, To [G2596] south [G3558] the [G3588] in Judea, and [G2532] to [G2596] south [G3558] of Jerahmeel, and [G2532] to [G2596] south [G3558] of the [G3588] Kenite.
11: And [G2532] a man and [G2532] woman [G1135] did not [G3756] bring forth alive [G2225] David the [G3588] to bring [G1521] unto [G1519] Gath, saying [G3004], Lest [G3379] they announce against [G2596] us [G1473], saying [G3004], Thus [G3592] David does [G4160]. And [G2532] thus [G3592] the [G3588] [was] his ordinance [G1345][G1473] all [G3956] the [G3588] days [G2250] which [G3739] David settled [G2521] in [G1722] country of the [G3588] Philistines .
12: And [G2532] David was trusted '[G4100] by [G1722] the [G3588] Achish, saying [G3004], With shame he is being shamed by [G1722] the [G3588] his people [G2992][G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] Israel, and [G2532] he will be my [G1473] a servant [G1401] into [G1519] the [G3588] age (term) `.
