Jeremiah Chapter 42 - | Early Church Bible

1: And [G2532] went forward [G4334] all [G3956] the [G3588] leaders [G2232] of for the [G3588]ce [G1411], and [G2532] Johanan son [G5207] of Kareah, and [G2532] Jezaniah son [G5207] of Hoshaiah, and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] people [G2992] from small [G3397] and [G2532] unto [G2193] great [G3173].
2: And [G2532] they said [G2036] to [G4314] Jeremiah the [G3588] prophet [G4396], Let there fall [G4098] now [G1211] the [G3588] our [need for] compassion [G1656][G1473] in front [G2596][G4383] of you [G1473]! And [G2532] pray [G4336] to [G4314] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of you [G1473] concerning [G4012] the [G3588] rest [G2645] of these [G3778]! for [G3754] we are left [G2641] few [G3641] from many [G4183], as [G2531] the [G3588] eyes [G3788] of you [G1473] see .
3: And [G2532] let announce to us [G1473] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] your God '[G2316][G1473]! the [G3588] way [G3598] in which [G3739] we will go [G4198] by [G1722] it [G1473], and [G2532] word [G3056] which [G3739] we will do [G4160].
4: And [G2532] said [G2036] to them [G1473] Jeremiah the [G3588] prophet [G4396], I heard , look [G2400], I will pray [G4336] to [G4314] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] our God '[G2316][G1473] according to [G2596] the [G3588] your words [G3056][G1473]. And [G2532] it will be the [G3588] word [G3056] which [G3739] will answer Boss '[G2962], I will announce to you [G1473]; in no way will I hide [G2928] from you [G1473] a word [G4487].
5: And [G2532] they [G1473] said [G2036] the [G3588] to Jeremiah, Let BOSS be [G2962] to [G1722] us [G1473] for [G1519] a witness [G3144] just [G1342] and [G2532] trustworthy [G4103]! if we do not [G1508] according to [G2596] every [G3956] the [G3588] word [G3056] which ever [G3739] should send you [G1473] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] your God '[G2316][G1473] to [G4314] us [G1473] -- thus [G3779] we will do [G4160].
6: And [G2532] whether if [G1437] good [or [G2532] if [G1437] bad [G2556] [be] the [G3588] voice [G5456] of Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] our God '[G2316][G1473], of whom [G3739] we [G1473] send you [G1473] to [G4314] him [G1473], we will hearken ; that [G2443] better to us [G1473] it should be [G1096] -- for [G3754] we will hearken to the [G3588] voice [G5456] of Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] our God '[G2316][G1473].
7: And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] after [G3326] ten [G1176] days [G2250], came [G1096] word [G3056] [of the] Boss '[G2962] to [G4314] Jeremiah.
8: And [G2532] he called [G2564] the [G3588] Johanan son [G5207] of Kareah, and [G2532] the [G3588] leaders [G2232] of for the [G3588]ce [G1411], and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] people [G2992], from small [G3397] and [G2532] unto [G2193] great [G3173].
9: And [G2532] he said [G2036] to them [G1473], Thus [G3779] said [G2036] Boss '[G2962], the [G3588] God '[G2316] of Israel, of whom [G3739] you sent me [G1473] to [G4314] him [G1473] that [G2443] should fall [G4098] the [G3588] supplication [G1162] of you [G1473] before [G1715] him [G1473].
10: If [G1437] sitting down [G2523] you should sit down [G2523] in [G1722] the [G3588] this land '[G1093][G3778], then [G2532] I will build [G3618] you [G1473], and [G2532] in no way will I demolish [G2507]; and [G2532] I will plant [G5452] you [G1473], and [G2532] in no way pluck . For [G3754] I have caused rest over [G1909] the [G3588] hurts [G2556] which [G3739] I did [G4160] to you [G1473].
11: You should not be fearful [G3361][G5399] from face [G4383] of the [G3588] king of Babylon, of whom [G3739] you [G1473] fear [G5399] from his face [G4383][G1473]. You should not be fearful [G3361][G5399], says [G5346] Boss '[G2962]. For [G3754] with [G3326] you [G1473] I [am [G1473], the [G3588] to rescue [G1807] you [G1473], and [G2532] to deliver [G4982] you [G1473] from out of [G1537] his hand [G5495][G1473].
12: And [G2532] I will grant [G1325] to you [G1473] an act of kindness [G1656], and [G2532] I will show compassion [G1653] on you [G1473], and [G2532] I will return [G1994] you [G1473] unto [G1519] the [G3588] your land '[G1093][G1473].
13: And [G2532] if [G1487] you say [G3004] to yourselves [G1473], In no way should we sit down [G2523] in [G1722] the [G3588] this land '[G1093][G3778], to [G4314] the [G3588] not [G3361] hearken to the [G3588] voice [G5456] of Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of you [G1473],
14: saying [G3004], Far be it [G3365], for [G3754] into [G1519] land '[G1093] of Egypt we will enter [G1525], and [G2532] in no way should we know [G1492] war [G4171], and [G2532] sound [G5456] of a trumpet [G4536] in no way should we hear , and [G2532] in [G1722] bread loaves in no way should we hunger [G3983], and [G2532] we will live there [G1563][G3611].
15: On account of [G1223] this [G3778], hear word [G3056] of Boss '[G2962], O remnant [G2645] of Judah! Thus [G3779] said [G2036] Boss '[G2962] of for the [G3588]ces [G1411], the [G3588] God '[G2316] of Israel, If [G1437] you [G1473] should put [G1325] the [G3588] face [G4383] of you [G1473] unto [G1519] Egypt, and [G2532] should enter in [G1525] there [G1563] to dwell [G2730];
16: then [G2532] it will be the [G3588] broadsword [G4501] which [G3739] you [G1473] will fear [G5399] from its face [G4383][G1473] -- it will find [G2147] you [G1473] in [G1722] Egypt; and [G2532] the [G3588] famine [G3042] of which [G3739] you [G1473] a reckoning [G3056] have [G2192] from in front of it [G4383][G1473], it will overtake [G2638] you [G1473] in [G1722] Egypt, and [G2532] there [G1563] you will die .
17: And [G2532] it will be all [G3956] the [G3588] men , the [G3588] [ones] putting [G5087] the [G3588]ir face [G4383][G1473] the [G3588] to enter [G1525] into [G1519] land '[G1093] of Egypt to dwell [G1774] there [G1563], they will fail [G1587] by [G1722] the [G3588] broadsword [G4501], and [G2532] by [G1722] the [G3588] famine [G3042], and [G2532] pestilence [G3061]. And [G2532] there will not be [G3756] for them [G1473] any one [G3762] delivering [G4982] from the [G3588] evils [G2556] which [G3739] I [G1473] bring [G1863] upon [G1909] them [G1473].
18: For [G3754] thus [G3779] said [G2036] Boss '[G2962] of for the [G3588]ces [G1411], the [G3588] God '[G2316] of Israel, As [G2531] dripped the [G3588] my rage [G2372][G1473] upon [G1909] the [G3588] [ones] inhabiting [G2730] Jerusalem, so [G3779] will drip the [G3588] my rage [G2372][G1473] upon [G1909] you [G1473], on your entering [G1525][G1473] into [G1519] Egypt. And [G2532] you will be for [G1519] an untrodden [land , and [G2532] under one's hands , and [G2532] for [G1519] a curse , and [G2532] for [G1519] scorning [G3680]; and [G2532] in no way will you look [at] [G1492] any longer [G3765] the [G3588] this place [G5117][G3778],
19: which [G3739] spoke [G2980] Boss '[G2962] against [G1909] you [G1473], the [G3588] [ones] remaining [G2645] of Judah. You should not [G3361] enter [G1525] into [G1519] Egypt. And [G2532] now [G3568], in knowing [G1097], you will know [G1097] that [G3754] I witnessed [G3140] to you [G1473] today [G4594],
20: that [G3754] you did wickedly in [G1722] your souls [G5590][G1473], sending me [G1473] to [G4314] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of you [G1473], saying [G3004], Pray [G4336] concerning [G4012] us [G1473]! to [G4314] Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] according to [G2596] all [G3956] what [G3739] ever should say [G2980] to you [G1473] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] our God '[G2316][G1473], thus [G3779] you tell us [G1473] and [G2532] we will act [G4160].
21: And [G2532] I announced to you [G1473], and [G2532] you hearkened not to [G3756][G1522] the [G3588] voice [G5456] of Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of you [G1473], according to [G2596] all [G3956] which [G3739] he sent to [G4314] you [G1473].
22: And [G2532] now [G3568] by [G1722] broadsword [G4501], and [G2532] by [G1722] famine [G3042], and [G2532] by [G1722] pestilence [G3061] you will end [G1587] in [G1722] the [G3588] place [G5117] in which [G3739] you [G1473] wanted [G1014] to enter [G1525] to dwell [G2730] there [G1563].
