1: Hear , O children [G3816], instruction [G3809] of a father [G3962], and [G2532] take heed [G4337] to know [G1097] insight [G1771]!
2: gift [G1435] For [G1063] a good I present [G1433] to you [G1473]; the [G3588] my [G1699] word [G3056] you should not [G3361] abandon [G1459].
3: a son [G5207] For [G1063] I was [G1096] also [G2504] to a father [G3962] subject [G5255], and [G2532] being loved in [G1722] presence [G4383] of a mother [G3384];
4: the ones who [G3739] spoke [G3004] and [G2532] taught [G1321] me, [saying [G1473], Establish [G2043] the [G3588] our [G2251] word [G3056] in [G1519] your [G4674] heart [G2588]! Keep [G5442] commandments [G1785]! Do not forget [G3361][G1950]!
5: Acquire [G2932] wisdom [G4678]! Acquire [G2932] understanding [G4907]! You should not forget [G3361][G1950], nor [G3366] should you ignore saying of my [G1699] mouth [G4750]; nor [G3366] should you turn aside [G1578] from words [G4487] of mouth [G4750] of me [G1473].
6: You should not abandon [G3361][G1459] it [G1473], for [G2532] it will hold to you [G1473]. Love it passionately [G1473]! and [G2532] it will keep [G5083] you [G1473].
7: [is the] beginning Wisdom [G4678], acquire [G2932] wisdom [G4678]! And [G2532] in [G1722] all [G3956] of your possessing [G1473] acquire [G2932] understanding [G4907]!
8: Surround her with a rampart [G1473]! and [G2532] she will exalt [G5312] you [G1473]. Esteem [G5091] her [G1473]! that [G2443] she should keep you [G1473];
9: that [G2443] she should give [G1325] [to the [G3588] your [G4674] head [G2776] a crown [G4735] of favors [G5484], with a crown [G4735] and [G1161] of luxury [G5172] should shield you [G1473].
10: Hear , O son [G5207], and [G2532] receive [G1209] my [G1699] words [G3056]! and [G2532] will be multiplied [G4129] to you [G1473] years [G2094] of your life [G2222][G1473], that [G2443] to you [G1473] there should be [G1096] many [G4183] ways [G3598] of life .
11: For ways [G3598][G1063] of wisdom [G4678] I teach [G1321] you [G1473]; I put on board [G1688] and [G1161] you [G1473] tracks [G5163] straight [G3717].
12: For when [G1437][G1063] you should go [G4198] will not [G3756] be hemmed in [G4788] your [G1473] the [G3588] footsteps ; and when [G1437][G1161] you should run [G5143], you will not [G3756] tire [G2872].
13: Take hold [G1949] of my [G1699] instruction [G3809]! you should not [G3361] let go ; but keep [G5442] it [G1473] to yourself [G4572], for [G1519] your life [G2222][G1473]!
14: ways [G3598] by impious You should not come [G3361][G1904], nor [G3366] be jealous [G2206] of ways [G3598] of lawbreakers .
15: In [G1722] what [G3739] ever place [G5117] they should encamp , you should not [G3361] come [G1904] there [G1563]. Turn aside [G1578] from them [G1473] and [G2532] alter [course !
16: not [G3756] For [G1063] they will [G3361] sleep , unless [G1437][G3361] they should have done evil [G2554]. is removed Sleep [G5258] from them [G1473], and [G2532] they do not [G3756] go to bed [G2837].
17: For thus [G3592][G1063] they feed well on grain [G4621] of impiety ; and by wine [G3631][G1161] of a lawbreaker they are intoxicated [G3182].
18: But the [G3588][G1161] ways [G3598] of the [G3588] just [G1342] are likened [G3668] to light [G5457] -- they radiate [G2989]. They go before [G4313] and [G2532] give light [G5461] until [G2193] whenever should set up the [G3588] day [G2250].
19: But the [G3588][G1161] ways [G3598] of the [G3588] impious [are] dark [G4652]; they do not [G3756] know [G1492] how [G4459] they stumble [G4350].
20: O son [G5207], to my [G1699] saying take heed [G4337], the [G3588] and [G1161] to my [G1699] words [G3056] set aside [G3846] your [G4674] ear [G3775]!
21: so that [G3704] should not [G3361] fail [G1587] you [G1473] the [G3588] your springs [G4077][G1473]. Keep [G5442] them [G1473] in [G1722] your [G1473] heart [G2588]!
22: life [G2222] for [G1063] [they are to all [G3956] the [G3588] [ones] finding [G2147] them [G1473], and [G2532] to all [G3956] flesh [G4561] healing [G2392].
23: With all [G3956] guard [G5438], give heed to [G5083] your [G4674] heart [G2588]! for from out of [G1537][G1063] these [things] [G3778] [are the] issues [G1841] of life [G2222].
24: Remove [G4014] yourself from [G4572] a crooked [G4646] mouth [G4750], and [G2532] unjust lips [G5491] far [G3112] from you [G1473] thrust away !
25: the [G3588] eyes [G3788] of you [G1473] straight [G3717] Let see , the [G3588] and [G1161] your eyelids [G1473] nod [assent [G3506] to just [G1342]!
26: straight [G3717] tracks [G5163] Make [G4160] for your [G4674] feet [G4228], and [G2532] the [G3588] your ways [G3598][G1473] straighten out [G2720]!
27: You should not turn aside [G3361][G1578] unto [G1519] the [G3588] right [G1188] nor [G3366] unto [G1519] the [G3588] left ; but turn [G1161] your [G4674] foot [G4228] from way [G3598] an evil [G2556]! For ways [G3598][G1063], the [G3588] [ones] of [G1537] right [G1188], knows [G1492] the [G3588] God '[G2316]; but the ones perverting [G1294][G1161] are of the [G3588] [G1537] left ; but he [G1473][G1161] straight [G3717] makes [G4160] the [G3588] your tracks [G5163][G1473], the [G3588] and [G1161] your goings [G4197][G1473] in [G1722] peace [G1515] he will lead before [G4254].
