1: And [G2532] the [G3588] government ' solidified [G4732] in [G1722] hand [G5495] of the [G3588] Solomon. And [G2532] Solomon contracted a marriage [with] the [G3588] Pharaoh king of Egypt. And [G2532] he took [G2983] the [G3588] daughter [G2364] of Pharaoh, and [G2532] he brought [G1521] her [G1473] into [G1519] the [G3588] city [G4172] of David, until [G2193] the [G3588] he completed [G4931][G1473] building [G3618] the [G3588] his house [G3624][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] house [G3624] of Boss '[G2962] at [G1722] first [G4413], and [G2532] the [G3588] wall [G5038] of Jerusalem round about [G2945].
2: Except [G4133] the [G3588] people [G2992] were burning incense [G2370] upon [G1909] the [G3588] high [places [G5308], for [G3754] was not [G3756] built [G3618] a house [G3624] to the [G3588] name [G3686] of Boss '[G2962] until [G2193] the [G3588] now [G3568].
3: And [G2532] Solomon loved the [G3588] Boss '[G2962], the [G3588] to go [G4198] in [G1722] the [G3588] orders of David the [G3588] his father [G3962][G1473]; only [G4133] in [G1722] the [G3588] high [places [G5308] he sacrificed [G2380] and [G2532] burned incense [G2370].
4: And [G2532] he rose up and [G2532] went [G4198] into [G1519] Gibeon to sacrifice [G2380] there [G1563], for [G3754] it [G1473] [was] highest [G5308] and [G2532] great [G3173]. a thousand whole burnt-offerings Solomon offered upon [G1909] the [G3588] altar [G2379] in [G1722] Gibeon.
5: And [G2532] BOSS appeared [G3708][G2962] [to the [G3588] Solomon in [G1722] sleep [G5258] [at the [G3588] night [G3571]. And [G2532] BOSS said [G2036][G2962] [to the [G3588] Solomon, Ask any [G5100] request for yourself [G4572]!
6: And [G2532] Solomon said [G2036], You [G1473] did [G4160] with [G3326] the [G3588] your servant [G1401][G1473] David the [G3588] father [G3962] of me [G1473] compassion [G1656] great [G3173], as [G2531] he went [G1330] before [G1799] you [G1473] in [G1722] truth , and [G2532] in [G1722] righteousness [G1343], and [G2532] in [G1722] straightness [G2118] of heart [G2588] with [G3326] you [G1473]. And [G2532] you guarded [G5442] him [G1473] the [G3588] compassion [G1656] the [G3588] great [G3173] by this [G3778], to grant [G1325] to him [G1473] a son [G5207] sitting [G2521] upon [G1909] the [G3588] throne [G2362] of him [G1473] as [G5613] the [G3588] this day [G2250][G3778].
7: And [G2532] now [G3568], O Boss '[G2962], the [G3588] God '[G2316] of me [G1473], you [G1473] gave reign to the [G3588] your servant [G1401][G1473] in place of David the [G3588] father [G3962] of me [G1473]. And [G2532] I [G1473] am boy [G3808] a small [G3397]; and [G2532] I do not [G3756] know [G1492] the [G3588] my entering [G1529][G1473] and [G2532] the [G3588] my exiting [G1841][G1473].
8: And [G2532] the [G3588] your servant [G1401][G1473] [is] in [G1722] midst [G3319] of the [G3588] your people [G2992][G1473] whom [G3739] you chose [G1586], people [G2992] a populous [G4183] who [G3739] cannot [G3756] be counted .
9: And [G2532] you will give [G1325] [to the [G3588] your servant [G1401][G1473] a heart [G2588] the [G3588] to hear and [G2532] to litigate [G1252] the [G3588] your people [G2992][G1473] in [G1722] righteousness [G1343], the [G3588] to perceive [G4920] between good and [G2532] bad [G2556]. For [G3754] who [G5100] will be able [G1410] to judge [G2919] for the [G3588] your people [G2992][G1473] the [G3588] this weighty [thing] [G3778]?
10: And [G2532] was pleasing the [G3588] word [G3056] before [G1799] Boss '[G2962], that [G3754] Solomon asked the [G3588] this thing [G4487][G3778].
11: And [G2532] BOSS said [G2036][G2962] to [G4314] him [G1473], Because you asked the [G3588] this thing [G4487][G3778] from [G3844] me [G1473], and [G2532] you did not [G3756] ask for yourself [G4572] days [G2250] many [G4183], and [G2532] you did not [G3756] ask [for] riches [G4149], nor [G3761] asked for lives [G5590] of the [G3588] your enemies [G2190][G1473]; but you asked for yourself [G4572] understanding [G4907] the [G3588] to hear [G1522] judgment [G2917];
12: look [G2400], I have done [G4160] according to [G2596] the [G3588] your word [G4487][G1473]; look [G2400], I give [G1325] to you [G1473] heart [G2588] an intelligent [G5429] and [G2532] wise [G4680]. as [G5613] you [G1473] There has not been [one [G3756][G1096] before [G1715] you [G1473], and [G2532] after [G3326] you [G1473] there will not rise up [G3756] [one] likened [G3664] to you [G1473].
13: And [G2532] indeed [G1065] what [G3739] you have not [G3756] asked , I have given [G1325] to you [G1473], even [G2532] riches [G4149] and [G2532] glory [G1391], as [G5613] there is not [G3756][G1096] a man likened [G3664] to you [G1473] among [G1722] the [G3588] kings .
14: And [G2532] if [G1437] you should have gone [G4198] in [G1722] the [G3588] my way [G3598][G1473], the [G3588] to guard [G5442] the [G3588] my commandments [G1785][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] orders of me [G1473], as [G5613] went [G4198] David the [G3588] your father [G3962][G1473], then [G2532] I will prolong the [G3588] your days [G2250][G1473].
15: And [G2532] Solomon woke up [G1852] and [G2532] knew [G2400] dream [G1798]. And [G2532] he rose up and [G2532] came [G3854] unto [G1519] Jerusalem, and [G2532] he stood [G2476] in front [G2596][G4383] of the [G3588] altar [G2379], of the [G3588] [one] in front [G2596][G4383] of the [G3588] ark [G2787] of covenant [G1242] of Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] he led up whole burnt-offerings , and [G2532] made [G4160] peace [offerings [G1516], and [G2532] made [G4160] a banquet [G4224] to all [G3956] the [G3588] his servants [G3816][G1473].
16: Then [G5119] there appeared [G3708] two [G1417] women [G1135] harlots [G4204] unto the [G3588] king , and [G2532] they stood [G2476] before [G1799] him [G1473].
17: And [G2532] said [G2036] the [G3588] woman [G1135] one [G1520], [Hear [G1722] me [G1473], O my boss [G2962][G1473]. I [G1473] and [G2532] the [G3588] this woman [G1135][G3778] live [G3611] in [G1722] house [G3624] one [G1520], and [G2532] we gave birth [G5088] in [G1722] the [G3588] house [G3624].
18: And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] in the [G3588] day [G2250] the [G3588] third [G5154] of my giving birth [G5088][G1473], gave birth [G5088] also [G2532] the [G3588] this woman [G1135][G3778]. And [G2532] we were in [G2596] the [G3588] same [place] [G1473], and [G2532] there was [G3756] no one [G3762] with [G3326] us [G1473], only both of us [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] house [G3624].
19: And [G2532] died the [G3588] son [G5207] of the [G3588] this woman [G1135][G3778] in the [G3588] night [G3571], as [G5613] she rested upon [G1909] it [G1473].
20: And [G2532] she rose up in the middle [G3319] of the [G3588] night [G3571], and [G2532] she took [G2983] the [G3588] my son [G5207][G1473] from [G1537] the [G3588] my embrace [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] your maidservant [G1399][G1473] rested , and [G2532] she rested it [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] her bosom [G2859][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] son [G5207] having died [G2348] she rested in [G1722] the [G3588] my bosom [G2859][G1473].
21: And [G2532] I rose up in the morning [G4404] to nurse [G2337] the [G3588] my son [G5207][G1473], and [G2532] that one [G1565] was one having died [G2348]. And [G2532] look [G2400], I contemplated [G2657] him [G1473] in the morning [G4404]; and [G2532] look [G2400], he was not [G3756] the [G3588] my son [G5207][G1473] whom [G3739] I gave birth [G5088].
22: And [G2532] said [G2036] the [G3588] woman [G1135] the [G3588] other [G2087], Not [so [G3780], for the [G3588] my son [G5207][G1473] [is] the [G3588] [one] living [G2198], and [G2532] your son [G5207][G1473] [is] the [G3588] [one] having died [G2348]. And [G2532] she [G1473] said [G2036], Not [so [G3780], the [G3588] your son [G5207][G1473] [is] the [G3588] [one] having died [G2348], and [G2532] my son [G5207][G1473] [is] the [G3588] [one] living [G2198]. And [G2532] they spoke [G2980] before [G1799] the [G3588] king .
23: And [G2532] said [G2036] the [G3588] king to them [G1473], You [here [G1473] say [G3004], This [G3778] the [G3588] my son [G5207][G1473] [is] the one living the [G3588][G2198], and [G2532] the [G3588] this one's son [G5207][G3778] [is] the [G3588] [one] having died [G2348]. And [G2532] you [there [G1473] say [G3004], Not [so [G3780], but the [G3588] my son [G5207][G1473] [is] the [G3588] [one] living [G2198], and [G2532] the [G3588] this one's son [G5207][G3778] [is] the [G3588] [one] having died [G2348].
24: And [G2532] said [G2036] the [G3588] king , Take [G2983] for me [G1473] a sword [G3162]! And [G2532] they brought [G4374] the [G3588] sword [G3162] before [G1799] the [G3588] king .
25: And [G2532] said [G2036] the [G3588] king , Divide [G1244] the [G3588] child [G3813] the [G3588] living [G2198] into [G1519] two [G1417], and [G2532] give [G1325] the [G3588] [one] half [G2255] of him [G1473] to this one [G3778], and [G2532] the [other the [G3588] half [G2255] of him [G1473] to this [other] one [G3778]!
26: And [G2532] answered the [G3588] woman [G1135] of whom [G3739] was [the mother of the [G3588] son [G5207] the [G3588] living [G2198], and [G2532] she said [G2036] to [G4314] the [G3588] king , for [G3754] was disturbed [G5015] the [G3588] womb [G3388] her [G1473] over [G1909] the [G3588] her son [G5207][G1473], and [G2532] she said [G2036], [Hear [G1722] me [G1473], O boss [G2962]. give [G1325] to her [G1473] the [G3588] child [G3813], and [G2532] to death [G2288] let not [G3361] be put to death [G2289] it [G1473]! And [G2532] she [the other [G3778] said [G2036], Neither [G3383] to me [G1473] nor [G3383] to her [G1473] let it be , divide [G1244] it [G1473]!
27: And [G2532] responded the [G3588] king and [G2532] said [G2036], Give [G1325] the [G3588] child [G3813] the [G3588] living [G2198] to the [G3588] [one] having said [G2036], Give [G1325] it to her [G1473][G1473]! and [G2532] unto death [G2288] you should not [G3361] put it to death [G2289][G1473] -- she [is [G1473] the [G3588] his mother [G3384][G1473].
28: And [G2532] heard all [G3956] Israel the [G3588] this ordinance [G2917][G3778] which [G3739] passed judgment [G2919] the [G3588] king , and [G2532] they feared [G5399] from presence [G4383] of the [G3588] king , for [G3754] they knew [G1492] that [G3754] intellect [G5428] of God '[G2316] [was] in [G1722] him [G1473] the [G3588] to do [G4160] justice [G1345].
