Jeremiah Chapter 32 - | Early Church Bible

1: The [G3588] word [G3056] the [G3588] having come [G1096] from [G3844] Boss '[G2962] to [G4314] Jeremiah in [G1722] the [G3588] year [G1763] the [G3588] tenth [G1181] of Zedekiah king of Judah -- this [is [G3778] year [G1763] eighteenth of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon.
2: And [G2532] force [G1411] of king of Babylon built a palisade against [G1909] Jerusalem. And [G2532] Jeremiah was being guarded [G5442] in [G1722] courtyard of the [G3588] guard [G5438], which [G3739] is in [G1722] house [G3624] of the [G3588] king of Judah.
3: By [G1722] which [G3739] imprisoned [G2623] him [G1473] the [G3588] king Zedekiah], saying [G3004], Why [G1302] do you [G1473] prophesy [G4395], saying [G3004], Thus [G3779] said [G2036] Boss '[G2962], look [G2400], I [G1473] give [G1325] the [G3588] this city [G4172][G3778] into [G1722] hand [G5495] of king of Babylon, and [G2532] he will take [G2983] it [G1473];
4: and [G2532] Zedekiah in no way will escape [G4982] from out of [G1537] hand [G5495] of the [G3588] Chaldeans, for [G3754] by being delivered up [G3862] he will be delivered up [G3860] into [G1519] hands [G5495] of king of Babylon, and [G2532] he will speak [G2980] [with] his mouth [G4750][G1473] to [G4314] his mouth [G4750][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] his eyes [G3788][G1473] the [G3588] his eyes [G3788][G1473] will see [G3708].
5: And [G2532] Zedekiah will enter [G1525] into [G1519] Babylon, and [G2532] there [G1563] he will sit down [G2523] until [G2193] of which [time] [G3739] I should look upon him [G1473], says [G3004] Boss '[G2962]. But if [G1437][G1161] you should wage war [G4170] against [G2596] the [G3588] Chaldeans you will not be prosperous [G3756][G2137].
6: And [G2532] Jeremiah spoke [G2036]. And [G2532] came [G1096] word [G3056] of Boss '[G2962] to [G4314] Jeremiah, saying [G3004],
7: look [G2400], Hanameel son [G5207] of willum brother of father [G3962] of you [G1473] comes [G2064] to [G4314] you [G1473], saying [G3004], Acquire [G2932] to yourself [G4572] the [G3588] my field [G1473], the [G3588] [one] in [G1722] Anathoth! for [G3754] to you [G1473] [it is] equitable [G2920] to take [it [G3880] for [G1519] a possession .
8: And [G2532] came [G2064] to [G4314] me [G1473] Hanameel son [G5207] of willum brother of father [G3962] of me [G1473] according to [G2596] the [G3588] word [G3056] of Boss '[G2962] in [G1519] the [G3588] courtyard of the [G3588] guard [G5438]. And [G2532] he said [G2036] to me [G1473], Acquire [G2932] to yourself [G4572] the [G3588] my field [G1473]! the [G3588] [one] in [G1722] Anathoth in [G1722] land '[G1093] of Benjamin; for [G3754] to you [G1473] [it is] equitable [G2917] to acquire [G2932], for [G2532] you [are [G1473] older [G4245]. And [G2532] I knew [G1097] that [G3754] word [G3056] [of the] Boss '[G2962] it [was .
9: And [G2532] I acquired [G2932] the [G3588] field [from] Hanameel son [G5207] of brother of father [G3962] of me [G1473], the [field the [G3588] in [G1722] Anathoth. And [G2532] I set [G2476] for him [G1473] seven [G2033] shekels and [G2532] ten [G1176] silver .
10: And [G2532] I wrote [G1125] in [G1519] a scroll , and [G2532] set a seal upon [it [G4972], and [G2532] took the testimony [G1263] of witnesses [G3144], and [G2532] set [G2476] the [G3588] silver in [G1722] a yoke [balance scale [G2218].
11: And [G2532] I took [G2983] the [G3588] scroll of the [G3588] possession the [G3588] being read and [G2532] having the seal set upon [G4972],
12: and [G2532] I gave [G1325] it [G1473] the [G3588] to Baruch, son [G5207] of Neriah, son [G5207] of Maaseiah, before [G2596] eyes [G3788] of Hanameel son [G5207] of brother of father [G3962] of me [G1473], and [G2532] before [G2596] eyes [G3788] of the [G3588] [ones] standing [G2476] witnessing [G3140] and [G2532] writing [G1125] in [G1722] the [G3588] scroll of the [G3588] possession , and [G2532] according to [G2596] eyes [G3788] of all [G3956] the [G3588] Jews the [G3588] sitting down [G2521] in [G1722] the [G3588] courtyard of the [G3588] guard [G5438].
13: And [G2532] I ordered [G4929] the [G3588] Baruch in front of [G2596] their eyes [G3788][G1473], saying [G3004],
14: Thus [G3779] said [G2036] Boss '[G2962] almighty [G3841], the [G3588] God '[G2316] of Israel, Take [G2983] the [G3588] scroll of the [G3588] this possession [G3778]! even [G2532] [this the [G3588] scroll the [G3588] being sealed [G4972] and [G2532] being read . And [G2532] you will put [it [G5087] into [G1519] receptacle an earthenware [G3749], that [G2443] it should remain [G1265] days [G2250] many more [G4183].
15: For [G3754] thus [G3779] said [G2036] Boss '[G2962] of for the [G3588]ces [G1411], the [G3588] God '[G2316] of Israel, Still [G2089] there will be created [G2936] fields , and [G2532] houses [G3614], and [G2532] vineyards in [G1722] the [G3588] this land '[G1093][G3778].
16: And [G2532] I prayed [G4336] to [G4314] Boss '[G2962] after [G3326] the [G3588] my giving [G1325][G1473] the [G3588] scroll of the [G3588] possession to [G4314] Baruch son [G5207] of Neriah, saying [G3004],
17: O the [G3588] Being One , O Boss '[G2962] God '[G2316], you [G1473] made [G4160] the [G3588] raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772] and [G2532] the [G3588] land '[G1093] the [G3588] strength [G2479] by your [G1473] the [G3588] great [G3173], and [G2532] the [G3588] arm [G1023] by your [G1473] the [G3588] high [G5308] and [G2532] the [G3588] elevated ; in no way will be concealed from you [G1473] anything [G3762];
18: one having [G4160] compassion [G1656] unto [G1519] thousands [G5505], and [G2532] recompensing sins of fathers [G3962] into [G1519] bosom [G2859] of their children [G5043][G1473] after [G3326] them [G1473]. the [G3588] God '[G2316] the [G3588] great [G3173] and [G2532] strong [G2478]; Boss '[G2962] of for the [G3588]ces [G1411], [is] name [G3686] of him [G1473],
19: of great [G3173] counsel [G1012], and [G2532] mighty [G1415] the [G3588] [in] works [G2041]. the [G3588] Eyes [G3788] of you [G1473] are opened upon [G1909] all [G3956] the [G3588] ways [G3598] of the [G3588] sons [G5207] of the [G3588] men , to give [G1325] each [G1538] according to [G2596] the [G3588] his way [G3598][G1473], and [G2532] according to [G2596] the [G3588] fruit [G2590] of the [G3588] his practices [G1473].
20: [The one] who [G3739] did [G4160] signs [G4592] and [G2532] miracles [G5059] in [G1722] land '[G1093] of Egypt unto [G2193] the [G3588] this day [G2250][G3778], and [G2532] in [G1722] Israel, and [G2532] among [G1722] the [G3588] land-born ; and [G2532] you made [G4160] for yourself [G4572] a name [G3686], as [G5613] the [G3588] this day [G2250][G3778].
21: And [G2532] you led [G1806] the [G3588] your people [G2992][G1473] Israel out of [G1537] land '[G1093] of Egypt with [G1722] signs [G4592], and [G2532] with [G1722] miracles [G5059], by [G1722] hand [G5495] a fortified [G2900], and [G2532] by [G1722] arm [G1023] a high [G5308], and [G2532] by [G1722] visions [G3705] great [G3173].
22: And [G2532] you gave [G1325] to them [G1473] the [G3588] this land '[G1093][G3778] which [G3739] you swore by an oath [G3660] [to the [G3588]ir fathers [G3962][G1473]; a land '[G1093] flowing [G4482] milk [G1051] and [G2532] honey [G3192].
23: And [G2532] they entered [G1525] and [G2532] took [G2983] it [G1473]. And [G2532] they hearkened not to [G3756] the [G3588] your voice [G5456][G1473], and [G2532] by [G1722] the [G3588] your orders [G1473] they did not go [G3756][G4198]. All [G3956] which [G3739] you charged [G1781] to them [G1473], they did not [G3756] do [G4160]. And [G2532] they caused [G4160] to come to pass [G4819] to them [G1473] all the [G3588]se bad [things] [G2556][G3778].
24: look [G2400], a crowd [G3793] is come [G2240] unto [G1909] the [G3588] city [G4172] to seize [G4815] it [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] city [G4172] was given [G1325] into [G1519] hands [G5495] of Chaldeans the [G3588] waging war [G4170] against it [G1473], by face [G4383] of sword [G3162], and [G2532] famine [G3042], and [G2532] pestilence [G3061]. As [G5613] you said [G2980] so [G3779] it happened [G1096]; and [G2532] look [G2400], you [G1473] see .
25: And [G2532] you [G1473] say [G3004] to [G4314] me [G1473], Acquire [G2932] to yourself [G4572] the [G3588] field [with] silver , and [G2532] take testimony [G1957] of witnesses [G3144]! And [G2532] the [G3588] city [G4172] was given [G1325] into [G1519] hands [G5495] of Chaldeans.
26: And [G2532] came to pass [G1096] word [G3056] of Boss '[G2962] to [G4314] me [G1473], saying [G3004],
27: I am [G1473] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of all [G3956] flesh [G4561]. will [G3361] from me [G1473] be hidden [G2928] anything [G5100]?
28: On account of [G1223] this [G3778], thus [G3779] said [G2036] Boss '[G2962]; In granting [G1325], will be delivered up [G3860] the [G3588] this city [G4172][G3778] into [G1519] hands [G5495] of Chaldeans, and [G2532] into [G1519] hands [G5495] of king of Babylon, and [G2532] he will take [G2983] it [G1473].
29: And [G2532] will come [G2240] the [G3588] Chaldeans] waging war [G4170] against [G1909] the [G3588] this city [G4172][G3778]; and [G2532] they will burn [G2545] the [G3588] this city [G4172][G3778] by [G1722] fire [G4442], and [G2532] will incinerate [G2618] the [G3588] houses [G3614] in which [G3739] they burned incense [G2370] upon [G1909] the [G3588]ir roofs [G1430][G1473] the [G3588] to Baal, and [G2532] offered [G4689] libations to gods '[G2316] other [G2087], to [G4314] the [G3588] greatly embitter [G3893] me [G1473].
30: For [G3754] were the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel and [G2532] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Judah] alone [G3441] doing [G4160] the [G3588] wicked [thing] [G4190] in front of [G2596] my eyes [G3788][G1473] from [G1537] their youth [G3503][G1473]. sons [G5207] of Israel [were] the [G3588] [ones] greatly embittering [G3893] me [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] works [G2041] of the [G3588]ir hands [G5495][G1473], says [G3004] Boss '[G2962].
31: For [G3754] for [G1909] my anger [G3709][G1473] and [G2532] for [G1909] my rage [G2372][G1473] was the [G3588] this city [G4172][G3778] from which [G3739] day [G2250] they built [G3618] it [G1473], and [G2532] unto [G2193] the [G3588] this day [G2250][G3778], to rid it [G1473] from my face [G4383][G1473];
32: because of [G1223] all [G3956] the [G3588] wickedness [G4189] of the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel and [G2532] Judah, which [G3739] they did [G4160] to embitter [G4087] me [G1473], they [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588]ir kings [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588]ir rulers [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588]ir priests [G2409][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588]ir prophets [G4396][G1473], men of Judah, and [G2532] the [G3588] [ones] dwelling [G2730] in [G1722] Jerusalem.
33: And [G2532] they turned to [G4314] me [G1473] [their] back [G3577], and [G2532] not [G3756] their face [G4383][G1473]. And [G2532] I taught [G1321] them [G1473] at dawn [G3722], and [G2532] they hearkened not [G3756] to take [G2983] instruction [G3809].
34: And [G2532] they put [G5087] the [G3588]ir defilements [G3393][G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] house [G3624] which [G3739] was called [G1941] the [G3588] name [G3686] of me [G1473] upon [G1909] by them [G1473] in [G1722] their uncleannesses [G1473].
35: And [G2532] they built [G3618] the [G3588] shrines [G1041] [to the [G3588] Baal, the [G3588] [ones] in [G1722] ravine [G5327] of son [G5207] of Hinnom, the [G3588] to offer the [G3588]ir sons [G5207][G1473] and [G2532] the [G3588]ir daughters [G2364][G1473] [to the [G3588] Molech; which [G3739] I ordered not [G3756][G4929] to them [G1473], and [G2532] it ascended not [G3756] unto [G1909] my heart [G2588][G1473] the [G3588] to do [G4160] the [G3588] this abomination [G3778], to [G4314] the [G3588] seduce Judah to sin the [G3588].
36: And [G2532] now [G3568], thus [G3779] said [G2036] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of Israel against [G1909] the [G3588] this city [G4172][G3778], which [G3739] you [G1473] say [G3004], It will be delivered up [G3860] into [G1519] hands [G5495] of king of Babylon by [G1722] sword [G3162], and [G2532] by [G1722] famine [G3042], and [G2532] by [G1722] pestilence [G3061].
37: look [G2400], I [G1473] will gather [G4863] them [G1473] from out of [G1537] all [G3956] the [G3588] land '[G1093] of which [G3739] I scattered [G1289] them [G1473] there [G1563] in [G1722] my anger [G3709][G1473], and [G2532] in [G1722] the [G3588] my rage [G2372][G1473], and [G2532] fit of temper [G3948] a great [G3173]. And [G2532] I will return [G1994] them [G1473] unto [G1519] the [G3588] this place [G5117][G3778]; and [G2532] I will sit them down [G2523][G1473] having secured [them [G3982].
38: And [G2532] they will be to me [G1473] for [G1519] a people [G2992], and [G2532] I [G1473] will be to them [G1473] for [G1519] God '[G2316].
39: And [G2532] I will give [G1325] to them [G1473] way [G3598] another [G2087] and [G2532] heart [G2588] another [G2087], to fear [G5399] me [G1473] all [G3956] the [G3588] days [G2250], and [G2532] for [G1519] good to them [G1473] and [G2532] the [G3588]ir children [G5043][G1473] after [G3326] them [G1473].
40: And [G2532] I will ordain [G1303] with them [G1473] covenant [G1242] an of the term (age) ' which [G3739] in no way will I turn behind [G3693] them [G1473]. And [G2532] the [G3588] my fear [G5401][G1473] I will put [G1325] in [G1519] the [G3588]ir heart [G2588][G1473], to [G4314] the [G3588] not [G3361] separate them [G1473] from me [G1473].
41: And [G2532] I will visit [G1980] them [G1473] the [G3588] to do good to them [G1473]. And [G2532] I will plant [G5452] them [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] this land '[G1093][G3778] in [G1722] trust '[G4102], even [G2532] with [G1722] all [G3956] my heart [G2588][G1473], and [G2532] with [G1722] all [G3956] soul [G5590] of me [G1473].
42: For [G3754] thus [G3779] said [G2036] Boss '[G2962], As [G2505] I brought [G1863] upon [G1909] the [G3588] this people [G2992][G3778] all [G3956] the [G3588] bad [things] [G2556] the [G3588] great [G3173] these [G3778], so [G3779] I [G1473] will bring [G1863] upon [G1909] them [G1473] all [G3956] the [G3588] good [things] which [G3739] I [G1473] spoke [G2980] unto [G1909] them [G1473].
43: And [G2532] there will be acquired [G2932] still [G2089] fields in [G1722] the [G3588] land '[G1093], in which [G3739] you [G1473] say [G3004], It is untrodden off men and [G2532] beast [G2934]; and [G2532] they were delivered up [G3860] into [G1519] hands [G5495] of Chaldeans.
44: And [G2532] they will acquire [G2932] fields with [G1722] silver ; and [G2532] you will write [G1125] in [G1519] a scroll , and [G2532] will set a seal upon [it [G4972], and [G2532] will take testimony [G1263] of witnesses [G3144] in [G1722] land '[G1093] of Benjamin, and [G2532] round about [G2945] the [G3588] Jerusalem, and [G2532] in [G1722] cities [G4172] of Judah, and [G2532] in [G1722] cities [G4172] of the [G3588] raised-place (mountain) '[G3735], and [G2532] in [G1722] cities [G4172] of the [G3588] Sephela, and [G2532] in [G1722] cities [G4172] of the [G3588] Negev. For [G3754] I will return the [G3588]ir resettlement [G1473], says [G3004] Boss '[G2962].
