1: And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] after [G3326] these [things] [G3778], that [G2532] David struck [G3960] the [G3588] Philistines , and [G2532] put them to flight [G1473]. And [G2532] he took [G2983] the [G3588] Gath and [G2532] the [G3588] her towns [G2968][G1473] from [G1537] hand [G5495] of Philistines .
2: And [G2532] he struck [G3960] the [G3588] Moab; and [G2532] Moab became [G1096] bondservant [G1401] the [G3588] to David, bringing [G5342] gifts [G1435].
3: And [G2532] David struck [G3960] the [G3588] Hadarezer king of Zobah at [G1722] Hamath, in [G1722] the [G3588] his going [G4198][G1473] the [G3588] to establish [G2476] his hand [G5495][G1473] over [G1909] river [G4215] Euphrates.
4: And [G2532] David first took from him [G1473] a thousand [G5507] chariots , and [G2532] seven [G2033] thousand [G5505] horses [G2462], and [G2532] twenty [G1501] thousand [G5505] men footmen . And [G2532] David disabled [G3886] all [G3956] the [G3588] chariots , and [G2532] left [G5275] of [G1537] them [G1473] a hundred [G1540] chariots .
5: And [G2532] Syria came [G2064] from out of [G1537] Damascus to help Hadarezer king of Zobah. And [G2532] David struck [G3960] among [G1722] the [G3588] Syrian -- twenty [G1501] and [G2532] two [G1417] thousand [G5505] men .
6: And [G2532] David placed [G5087] a detachment in [G1722] Syria the [G3588] near [G2596] Damascus. And [G2532] they were the [G3588] to David as [G1519] servants [G1401] bringing [G5342] gifts [G1435]. And [G2532] BOSS preserved [G4982][G2962] David in [G1722] all [G3956] wherever [G3739] he went [G4198].
7: And [G2532] David took [G2983] the [G3588] collars of the [G3588] gold [things] [G5552] which [G3739] were upon [G1909] the [G3588] servants [G3816] of Hadarezer, and [G2532] brought [G5342] them [G1473] into [G1519] Jerusalem.
8: And [G2532] from [G1537] the [G3588] Tibhath, and [G2532] from [G1537] the [G3588] chosen [G1588] cities [G4172] of the [G3588] Hadarezer, David took [G2983] brass [G5475] much [G4183] exceedingly [G4970]. Of [G1537] it [G1473] Solomon made [G4160] the [G3588] sea [G2281] the [G3588] brass [G5470], and [G2532] the [G3588] columns [G4769], and [G2532] the [G3588] items [G4632] of the [G3588] brass [G5470].
9: And [G2532] heard Tou king of Hamath] that [G3754] David struck [G3960] the [G3588] all [G3956] force [G1411] of Hadarezer king of Zobah.
10: And [G2532] he sent the [G3588] Hadoram son [G5207] of him [G1473] to [G4314] the [G3588] king David the [G3588] to ask [G2065] him [G1473] the [things] [G3588] for [G1519] peace [G1515], and [G2532] the [G3588] to congratulate [G2127] him [G1473] for [G5228] of which [G3739] he waged war against [G4170] the [G3588] Hadarezer, and [G2532] for striking [G3960] him [G1473]; because [G3754] man a warlike Tou was with [G3739] Hadarezer -- and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] items [G4632] of the [G3588] gold [G5552], and [G2532] of silver , and [G2532] of brass [G5470].
11: And [G2532] these [G3778] sanctified the [G3588] king David] to the [G3588] Boss '[G2962], with [G3326] the [G3588] silver and [G2532] the [G3588] gold [G5553] which [G3739] he took [G2983] from [G1537] all [G3956] the [G3588] tradition-peoples (ethnics) '[G1484] -- from [G1537] Edom, and [G2532] Moab, and [G2532] from [G1537] sons [G5207] of Ammon, and [G2532] from [G1537] the [G3588] Philistines , and [G2532] from [G1537] Amalek.
12: And [G2532] Abishai son [G5207] of Zeruiah struck [G3960] the [G3588] Edomite in [G1722] valley of the [G3588] salts -- eighteen thousand [G5505].
13: And [G2532] he placed [G5087] in [G1722] the [G3588] Edom a detachment of soldiers . And [G2532] were all [G3956] the [G3588] Edomites] servants [G3816] [to the [G3588] David. And [G2532] BOSS preserved [G4982][G2962] the [G3588] David in [G1722] all [G3956] wherever [G3739] he went [G4198].
14: And [G2532] David reigned over [G1909] all [G3956] Israel, and [G2532] he was executing [G4160] judgment [G2917] and [G2532] righteousness [G1343] to all [G3956] the [G3588] his people [G2992][G1473].
15: And [G2532] Joab son [G5207] of Zeruiah [was] over [G1909] the [G3588] military [G4756]; and [G2532] Jehoshaphat son [G5207] of Ahilud [was the] recorder ;
16: and [G2532] Zadok son [G5207] of Ahitub, and [G2532] Abimelech son [G5207] of Abiathar, [were] priests [G2409]; and [G2532] Shavsha [was] scholar (scribe) '[G1122] (sofer [H5613]);
17: and [G2532] Benaiah son [G5207] of Jehoiada [was] over [G1909] the [G3588] Cherethite and [G2532] the [G3588] Phelethite; and [G2532] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of David [were] the [G3588] first [G4413] successors [G1240] of the [G3588] king .
