1 Corinthians Chapter 13 - | Early Church Bible

1: If [G1437] the [G3588] languages [G1100] of the [G3588] men I speak [G2980] and [G2532] of the [G3588] word-conveyers (messengers) ', love but [G1161] not [G3361] I have [G2192], I have become [G1096] brass [G5475] resounding [G2278], or [G2228] a cymbal [G2950] sounding loudly .
2: And [G2532] if [G1437] I have [G2192] prophecy [G4394], and [G2532] I know [G1492] the [G3588] mysteries [G3466] all [G3956], and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] knowledge [G1108]; and [G2532] if [G1437] I have [G2192] all [G3956] the [G3588] trust '[G4102], so as [G5620] raised-places (mountains) '[G3735] to remove [G3179], love but [G1161] not [G3361] I have [G2192], nothing [G3762] I am .
3: And [G2532] if [G1437] I should distribute [G5595] all [G3956] the [G3588] possessions [G5224] of me [G1473], and [G2532] if [G1437] I should deliver up [G3860] the [G3588] body [G4983] of me [G1473] that [G2443] it should be burned [G2545], love but [G1161] not [G3361] I have [G2192], not one [G3762] benefit do I derive [G5623].
4: The [G3588] love is lenient [G3114], is kind [G5541]; the [G3588] love [is] not [G3756] jealous [G2206], the [G3588] love [is] not [G3756] rash [G4068], not [G3756] inflated [G5448],
5: not [G3756] indecent , does not [G3756] seek [G2212] the [things] [G3588] for itself [G1438], is not [G3756] provoked [G3947], does not [G3756] consider [G3049] the [G3588] bad [G2556],
6: does not [G3756] rejoice [G5463] at [G1909] the [G3588] injustice , but rejoices with [G4796][G1161] the [G3588] truth .
7: All [things] [G3956] it sustains [G4722], all [things] [G3956] it trusts '[G3956] it hopes [G1679], all [things] [G3956] it endures [G5278].
8: The [G3588] love at no time [G3763] falls off [G1601]. But whether [G1535][G1161] prophecies [G4394], they will cease work [G2673]; whether [G1535] languages [G1100], they will cease [G3973]; whether [G1535] knowledge [G1108], it will cease work [G2673].
9: in [G1537] part [G3313] But [G1161] we know [G1097], and [G2532] in [G1537] part [G3313] we prophesy [G4395].
10: But whenever [G3752][G1161] should come [G2064] the [G3588] perfect [G5046], then [G5119] the [thing] [G3588] in [G1537] part [G3313] will cease work [G2673].
11: When [G3753] I was an infant [G3516], as [G5613] an infant [G3516] I spoke [G2980], as [G5613] an infant [G3516] I thought [G5426], as [G5613] an infant [G3516] I considered [G3049]; but when [G3753][G1161] I became [G1096] a man I ceased in [G2673] the [things] [G3588] of the [G3588] infant [G3516].
12: For we see [G1063] now by [G1223] a mirror [G2072] in [G1722] an enigma , but then [G5119][G1161] face [G4383] to [G4314] face [G4383]. Now I know [G1097] in [G1537] part [G3313], but then [G5119][G1161] I will recognize [G1921] as [G2531] also [G2532] I was recognized [G1921].
13: But now [G3568][G1161] abide [G3306] trust '[G4102], hope [G1680], love , the [G3588] three [G5140] of these [G3778]; but greater [G3173][G1161] of these [G3778] [is] the [G3588] love .
