Mark Chapter 10 - | Early Church Bible

1: And from there [G2547], rising up he comes [G2064] unto [G1519] the [G3588] borders [G3725] of the [G3588] Judea, by [G1223] the [G3588] other side [G4008] of the [G3588] Jordan. And [G2532] went [G4848] again [G3825] crowds [G3793] to [G4314] him [G1473]; and [G2532] as [G5613] he was accustomed [G1486], again [G3825] he taught [G1321] them [G1473].
2: And [G2532] coming forward [G4334], Pharisees [G5330] ("Separate Ones" [H6504]) asked [G1905] him [G1473], Is [G1487] it allowed [G1832] for a man a wife [G1135] to dismiss ? testing [G3985] him [G1473].
3: And the [G3588][G1161] answering he said [G2036] to them [G1473], What did [G5100] to you [G1473] Moses give charge [G1781]?
4: And they the [G3588][G1161] said [G2036], Moses committed to one's care [G2010] a scroll of divorce to write [G1125] and [G2532] to dismiss .
5: And [G2532] answering the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) said [G2036] to them [G1473], Because of [G4314] the [G3588] hardness of your heart [G4641][G1473] he wrote [G1125] to you [G1473] the [G3588] this commandment [G1785][G3778].
6: But from [G1161] beginning of creation [G2937] male and [G2532] female [G2338] made [G4160] them [G1473] the [G3588] God '[G2316].
7: Because of [G1752] this [G3778] will leave [G2641] a man the [G3588] his father [G3962][G1473] and [G2532] the [G3588] mother [G3384], and [G2532] will be cleaved [G4347] to [G4314] the [G3588] his wife [G1135][G1473];
8: and [G2532] will be the [G3588] two [G1417] for [G1519] flesh [G4561] one [G1520]. So that [G5620] no longer [G3765] are they two [G1417], but one [G1520] flesh [G4561].
9: What [G3739] then [G3767] the [G3588] God '[G2316] yoked together [G4801], let not man [G3361] separate [G5563]!
10: And [G2532] in [G1722] the [G3588] house [G3614] again [G3825] the [G3588] trainees '[G3101] of him [G1473] concerning [G4012] the [G3588] same [G1473] asked [G1905] him [G1473].
11: And [G2532] he says [G3004] to them [G1473], Who [G3739] ever [G1437] should dismiss the [G3588] his wife [G1135][G1473], and [G2532] should marry [G1060] another , commits adultery [G3429] against [G1909] her [G1473].
12: And [G2532] if [G1437] a wife [G1135] should dismiss the [G3588] her husband [G1473], and [G2532] should marry [G1060] another , she commits adultery [G3429].
13: And [G2532] they brought [G4374] to him [G1473] children [G3813], that [G2443] he should touch them [G1473]; the [G3588] but the [G1161] trainees '[G3101] gave reproach [G2008] to the [G3588] [ones] bringing them [G4374].
14: And having looked [at] [G1492][G1161], the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) was indignant , and [G2532] said [G2036] to them [G1473], Allow the [G3588] children [G3813] to come [G2064] to [G4314] me [G1473], and [G2532] do not [G3361] restrain [G2967] them [G1473]! for of the [G3588] [ones] [G1063] such [G5108] is the [G3588] government ' of the [G3588] God '[G2316].
15: Amen I say [G3004] to you [G1473], Who [G3739] ever [G1437] should not [G3361] receive [G1209] the [G3588] government ' of the [G3588] God '[G2316] as [G5613] a child [G3813], in no way will he enter [G1525] into [G1519] it [G1473].
16: And [G2532] having embraced [G1723] them [G1473], having put [G5087] [his the [G3588] hands [G5495] upon [G1909] them [G1473], he blessed [G2127] them [G1473].
17: And [G2532] [in] his going forth [G1607][G1473] into [G1519] way [G3598], running up [G4370] one [G1520] and [G2532] kneeling [G1120] at him [G1473], asked [G1905] him [G1473], Teacher [G1320] ["Rabbi [G4461]" John 1:38] Good , what [G5100] will I do [G4160] that [G2443] life [G2222] of the term (age) ' I should inherit [G2816]?
18: And the [G3588][G1161] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) said [G2036] to him [G1473], Why [G5100] do you call me [G1473][G3004] good ? No one [G3762] [is] good except [G1508] one [G1520] the [G3588] God '[G2316].
19: The [G3588] commandments [G1785] you know [G1492], do not [G3361] commit adultery [G3431], do not [G3361] murder [G5407], do not [G3361] steal [G2813], do not [G3361] give lying witness [G5576], do not [G3361] wrong , esteem [G5091] the [G3588] father [G3962] of us [G1473] and [G2532] the [G3588] mother [G3384]!
20: And he the [G3588][G1161] answering said [G2036] to him [G1473], Teacher [G1320] ["Rabbi [G4461]" John 1:38], these [things] [G3778] all [G3956] I kept [G5442] from [G1537] my youth [G3503][G1473].
21: the [G3588] And [G1161] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) looking at [G1689] him [G1473] loved him [G1473], and [G2532] said [G2036] to him [G1473], One [thing] [G1520] to you [G1473] is lacking [G5302], Go [G5217], as much as [G3745] you have [G2192] sell [G4453], and [G2532] give [G1325] to the [G3588] [ones] begging [G4434], and [G2532] you will have [G2192] treasure [G2344] in [G1722] raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772]! And [G2532] come [G1204] follow me [G1473], taking up the [G3588] cross [G4716]!
22: But he the [G3588][G1161] being gloomy [G4768] over [G1909] the [G3588] word [G3056] went forth fretting [G3076]; for he was [G1063] holding [G2192] possessions [G2933] many [G4183].
23: And [G2532] looking round about [G4017], the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) says [G3004] [to the [G3588] his trainees '[G3101][G1473], How [G4459] with difficulty [G1423] the [G3588] [ones] the [G3588] things [G5536] having [G2192] into [G1519] the [G3588] government ' of the [G3588] God '[G2316] will enter [G1525].
24: And the [G3588][G1161] trainees '[G3101] were distraught [G2284] at [G1909] the [G3588] his words [G3056][G1473]. And the [G3588][G1161] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) again [G3825] responding says [G3004] to them [G1473], Sons [G5043], how [G4459] difficult [G1422] it is for the [G3588] [ones] yielding [G3982] upon [G1909] the [G3588] things [G5536] into [G1519] the [G3588] government ' of the [G3588] God '[G2316] to enter [G1525].
25: It is easier [G2123] for a camel [G2574] through [G1223] the [G3588] hole [G5168] [made by] an awl [G4476] to enter [G1525], than [G2228] a rich [person [G4145] into [G1519] the [G3588] government ' of the [G3588] God '[G2316] to enter [G1525].
26: And they the [G3588][G1161] were extremely [G4057] overwhelmed [G1605], saying [G3004] to [G4314] themselves [G1438], And [G2532] who [G5100] is able [G1410] to be delivered [G4982]?
27: And looking at [G1689][G1161] them [G1473], the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) says [G3004], With [G3844] men impossible , but not [G3756] with [G3844] God '[G2316]; for all [things] [G3956][G1063] are possible [G1415] with [G3844] the [G3588] God '[G2316].
28: And [G2532] Peter began the [G3588] to say [G3004] to him [G1473], look [G2400], we [G1473] left all [G3956] and [G2532] followed you [G1473].
29: And answering [G1161] the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) said [G2036], Amen I say [G3004] to you [G1473], There is no one [G3762] who [G3739] left house [G3614], or [G2228] brothers , or [G2228] sisters , or [G2228] father [G3962], or [G2228] mother [G3384], or [G2228] wife [G1135], or [G2228] children [G5043], or [G2228] fields , because of [G1752] me [G1473] and [G2532] the [G3588] good-word-conveyed (good message) '[G2098],
30: [that] should not [G1437][G3361] receive [G2983] a hundred fold [G1542] now [G3568] in [G1722] the [G3588] this time [G2540][G3778] -- houses [G3614], and [G2532] brothers , and [G2532] sisters , and [G2532] mothers [G3384], and [G2532] children [G5043], and [G2532] fields , with [G3326] pursuits [G1375], and [G2532] in [G1722] the [G3588] age (term) ` the [G3588] coming [G2064] life [G2222] of the term (age) '.
31: But many [G4183][G1161] first will be [G4413] last [G2078], and [G2532] the [G3588] last [G2078] first [G4413].
32: And they were [G1161] in [G1722] the [G3588] way [G3598], going up into [G1519] Jerusalem; and [G2532] was leading before [G4254] them [G1473] the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]). And [G2532] they were distraught [G2284]; and [G2532] following , they were afraid [G5399]. And [G2532] having taken to himself [G3880] again [G3825] the [G3588] twelve [G1427], he began to speak to them [G1473][G3004] the [things] [G3588] about [G3195] to come to pass to him [G1473][G4819].
33: For [G3754] look [G2400], we go up into [G1519] Jerusalem, and [G2532] the [G3588] son [G5207] of the [G3588] man will be delivered up [G3860] to the [G3588] chief priests , and [G2532] to the [G3588] scholars (scribes) '[G1122] (soferim [H5613]), and [G2532] they will condemn [G2632] him [G1473] to death [G2288], and [G2532] they will deliver him up [G3860][G1473] to the [G3588] tradition-peoples (ethnics) '[G1484].
34: And [G2532] they will mock [G1702] him [G1473], and [G2532] they will whip [G3146] him [G1473], and [G2532] they will spit on [G1716] him [G1473], and [G2532] they will kill him [G1473]. And [G2532] in the [G3588] third [G5154] day [G2250] he will rise up .
35: And [G2532] going to [G4365] him [G1473], James and [G2532] John, the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Zebedee, saying [G3004], Teacher [G1320] ["Rabbi [G4461]" John 1:38], we want [G2309] that [G2443] what [G3739] ever [G1437] we should ask you should do [G4160] for us [G1473].
36: And he the [G3588][G1161] said [G2036] to them [G1473], What [G5100] do you want [G2309] me to do [G4160][G1473] for you [G1473]?
37: And they the [G3588][G1161] said [G2036] to him [G1473], Give [G1325] us [G1473] that [G2443] one [G1520] at [G1537] your right [G1188][G1473], and [G2532] one [G1520] at [G1537] your left [G2176][G1473], should sit down [G2523] in [G1722] the [G3588] your glory [G1391][G1473].
38: And the [G3588][G1161] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) said [G2036] to them [G1473], You do not know [G3756][G1492] what [G5100] you ask . Are you able [G1410] to drink [G4095] the [G3588] cup [G4221] which [G3739] I [G1473] drink [G4095], and [G2532] the [G3588] submergence which [G3739] I [G1473] am submerged [with to be submerged ?
39: And they the [G3588][G1161] said [G2036] to him [G1473], We are able [G1410]. But the [G3588][G1161] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) said [G2036] to them [G1473], the [G3588] cup indeed [G3303][G4221] which [G3739] I [G1473] drink [G4095], you will drink [G4095]; and [G2532] the [G3588] submergence which [G3739] I [G1473] am submerged , you will be submerged .
40: But the [G3588][G1161] sitting down [G2523] at [G1537] my right [G1188][G1473] and [G2532] at [G1537] my left [G2176][G1473], it not [G3756] is mine [G1699] to give [G1325], but to ones whom [G3739] it has been prepared [G2090].
41: And [G2532] hearing the [G3588] ten [G1176] began to be indignant on account of [G4012] James and [G2532] John.
42: But the [G3588][G1161] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) having called [G4341] them [G1473], says [G3004] to them [G1473], You know [G1492] that [G3754] the [G3588] [ones] seeming [G1380] to rule the [G3588] tradition-peoples (ethnics) '[G1484] dominate [G2634] them [G1473]; and [G2532] the [G3588]ir great ones [G3173][G1473] exercise authority over [G2715] them [G1473].
43: not [G3756] thus [G3779] But [G1161] will it be with [G1722] you [G1473]. But who [G3739] ever [G1437] should want [G2309] to become [G1096] great [G3173] among [G1722] you [G1473], will be your servant [G1249][G1473].
44: And [G2532] who [G3739] ever of you should want [G2309][G1473] to become [G1096] first [G4413], will be servant of all [G3956][G1401].
45: For even [G2532][G1063] the [G3588] son [G5207] of the [G3588] man came not [G3756][G2064] to be served [G1247], but to serve [G1247], and [G2532] to give [G1325] the [G3588] his life [G5590][G1473] a ransom [G3083] for many [G4183].
46: And [G2532] they come [G2064] unto [G1519] Jericho. And [G2532] exiting [G1607] of of him '[G1473] from Jericho, and [G2532] the [G3588] trainees '[G3101] of him [G1473], and [G2532] crowd [G3793] a fit [G2425], a son [G5207] of Timaeus -- Bar Timaeus the [G3588] blind man [G5185], was sat down [G2521] by [G3844] the [G3588] way [G3598] begging [G4319].
47: And [G2532] having heard that [G3754] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) the [G3588] Nazarene it is , he began to cry out [G2896], and [G2532] to say [G3004], the [G3588] son [G5207] of David, Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]), show compassion on [G1653] me [G1473]!
48: And [G2532] reproached [G2008] him [G1473] many [G4183] that [G2443] he should keep silent [G4623]; but the [G3588][G1161] more [G4183] rather [G3123] he cried out [G2896], O son [G5207] of David, show compassion on [G1653] me [G1473]!
49: And [G2532] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) stopping [G2476] the [G3588], spoke [G2036] for him [G1473] to be called [G5455]. And [G2532] they call [G5455] the [G3588] blind [man [G5185], saying [G3004] to him [G1473], Take courage [G2293]! Arise [G1453]! he calls [G5455] you [G1473].
50: And the [G3588][G1161] throwing off the [G3588] his cloak [G2440][G1473], having risen up , he came [G2064] to [G4314] the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]).
51: And [G2532] responding says [G3004] to him [G1473] the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]), What [G5100] do you want [G2309] that I should do [G4160] for you [G1473]? And the [G3588][G1161] blind [man [G5185] said [G2036] to him [G1473], Rabboni [G4462], that [G2443] I should gain sight .
52: And the [G3588][G1161] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) said [G2036] to him [G1473], Go [G5217]! the [G3588] trust '[G4102] of yours [G1473] has delivered [G4982] you [G1473]. And [G2532] immediately [G2112] he gained sight , and [G2532] he followed the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) in [G1722] the [G3588] way [G3598].
