1 Chronicles Chapter 23 - | Early Church Bible

1: And [G2532] David [was] older [G4245] and [G2532] full [G4134] of days [G2250]. And [G2532] took reign Solomon the [G3588] son [G5207] of him [G1473] instead of him [G1473] over [G1909] Israel.
2: And [G2532] he brought together [G4863] all [G3956] the [G3588] rulers of Israel, and [G2532] the [G3588] priests [G2409], and [G2532] the [G3588] Levites.
3: And [G2532] were counted the [G3588] Levites] from thirty years old and [G2532] up [G1883]. And [G2532] was [G1096] the [G3588] number of them [G1473] according to [G2596] their head [count [G2776][G1473] of [G1519] males -- thirty [G5144] and [G2532] eight [G3638] thousand [G5505].
4: Of these [G3778] [were] foremen over [G1909] the [G3588] works [G2041] of the [G3588] house [G3624] of Boss '[G2962] -- twenty-four thousand [G5505]; and [G2532] scholars (scribes) '[G1122] (soferim [H5613]) and [G2532] judges [G2923] -- six thousand ;
5: and [G2532] four [G5064] thousand [G5505] gatekeepers ; and [G2532] four [G5064] thousand [G5505] praising the [G3588] Boss '[G2962] with [G1722] the [G3588] instruments , which [G3739] made [G4160] the [G3588] praise to the [G3588] Boss '[G2962].
6: And [G2532] divided [G1244] them [G1473] David] into daily rotations [G2183] to the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Levi -- [to the [G3588] Gershon, Kohath, and [G2532] Merari.
7: And [G2532] to the [family the [G3588] of Gershon -- Ladan and [G2532] Shimei.
8: sons [G5207] [to the [G3588] Ladan -- the [G3588] ruler Jehiel, and [G2532] Zetham, and [G2532] Joel -- three [G5140].
9: sons [G5207] of Shimei -- Shelomith, and [G2532] Haziel, and [G2532] Haran -- three [G5140]. These [G3778] [were] rulers of the [G3588] families [G3965] of the [G3588] Ladan.
10: And [G2532] sons [G5207] of Shimei -- Jahath, and [G2532] Zizah, and [G2532] Jeush, and [G2532] Beriah. These [are [G3778] sons [G5207] of Shimei -- four [G5064].
11: And [G2532] Jahath was the [G3588] ruler , and [G2532] Zizah the [G3588] second [G1208]. And [G2532] Jeush and [G2532] Beriah did not [G3756] multiply [G4129] sons [G5207]; and [G2532] they were [assigned [G1096] for [G1519] house [G3624] of family [G3965] for [G1519] numbering [as] one [G1520].
12: sons [G5207] of Kohath -- Amram, Izhar, Hebron, Uzziel -- four [G5064].
13: sons [G5207] of Amram -- Aaron and [G2532] Moses. 22: And [G2532] Eleazar died , and [G2532] there were no [G3756] sons to him [G1473][G5207], but only daughters [G2364]. And [G2532] took [G2983] them [G1473] sons [G5207] of Kish their brothers [G1473].
23: sons [G5207] of Mushi -- Mahli, and [G2532] Eder, and [G2532] Jeremoth -- three [G5140].
24: These [were [G3778] sons [G5207] of Levi according to [G2596] houses [G3624] of their families [G3965][G1473]; rulers of the [G3588]ir families [G3965][G1473] according to [G2596] the [G3588]ir numbering [G1473], according to [G2596] the [G3588] number of their names [G3686][G1473], according to [G2596] their head [count [G2776][G1473], ones doing [G4160] the [G3588] works [G2041] of the [G3588] ministration [G3009] of house [G3624] of Boss '[G2962], from twenty years and [G2532] up [G1883].

30: and [G2532] the [G3588] to stand [G2476] [in the] morning [G4404] the [G3588] to praise and [G2532] to make acknowledgement [G1843] to the [G3588] Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] so [G3779] the [G3588] evening [G2073];
