Genesis Chapter 50 - | Early Church Bible

1: And [G2532] Joseph falling [G1968] upon [G1909] face [G4383] of the [G3588] his father [G3962][G1473], wept [G2799] over [G1909] him [G1473], and [G2532] kissed [G5368] him [G1473].
2: And [G2532] Joseph assigned [G4367] [to the [G3588] his servants [G3816][G1473], to the [G3588] embalmers to embalm [G1779] the [G3588] his father [G3962][G1473]. And [G2532] embalmed [G1779] the [G3588] embalmers the [G3588] Israel.
3: And [G2532] they accomplished [embalming [G4137] him [G1473] [in] forty [G5062] days [G2250], for thus [G3779][G1063] they counted down [G2674] the [G3588] days [G2250] of the [G3588] burial [G5027]. And [G2532] mourned [G3996] him [G1473] Egypt] seventy [G1440] days [G2250].
4: And when [G1893][G1161] went by [G3928] the [G3588] days [G2250] of the [G3588] mourning [G3997], Joseph spoke [G2980] to [G4314] the [G3588] mighty ones [G1413] of Pharaoh, saying [G3004], If [G1487] I found [G2147] favor [G5484] before [G1726] you [G1473], speak [G2980] into [G1519] the [G3588] ears [G3775] of Pharaoh! saying [G3004],
5: the [G3588] Father [G3962] of me [G1473] bound me by an oath [G3726][G1473] before [G4253] the [G3588] his coming to an end [G5053][G1473], saying [G3004], In [G1722] the [G3588] memorial [G3419] which [G3739] I dug [G3736] myself [G1683], in [G1722] land '[G1093] of Canaan, there [G1563] entomb me [G1473][G2290]! Now [G3568] then [G3767], going up , I will entomb [G2290] the [G3588] father [G3962] of me [G1473], and [G2532] I will return back [G1880].
6: And [G2532] Pharaoh said [G2036] the [G3588] to Joseph, Go up , entomb [G2290] the [G3588] father [G3962] of us [G1473]! just as [G2509] he bound you by an oath [G3726][G1473].
7: And [G2532] Joseph went up to entomb [G2290] the [G3588] his father [G3962][G1473]. And [G2532] went up together [G4872] with [G3326] him [G1473] all [G3956] the [G3588] servants [G3816] of Pharaoh, and [G2532] the [G3588] elders [G4245] of the [G3588] his house [G3624][G1473], and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] elders [G4245] of the [G3588] land '[G1093] of Egypt,
8: and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] whole family of Joseph, and [G2532] the [G3588] brothers of him [G1473], and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] house [hold [G3614] of the [G3588] his father [G3967][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] kin [G4772]. [G1473] And [G2532] the [G3588] sheep [G4263] and [G2532] the [G3588] oxen [G1016] were left behind [G5275] in [G1722] land '[G1093] of Goshen.
9: And [G2532] went up together [G4872] with [G3326] him [G1473] also [G2532] chariots and [G2532] horsemen [G2460]. And [G2532] became [G1096] the [G3588] camp [G3925] great [G3173] exceedingly [G4970].
10: And [G2532] they came [G3854] upon [G1909] threshing-floor of Atad, which [G3739] is on the other side [G4008] of the [G3588] Jordan. And [G2532] they lamented [G2875] him [G1473] [by] beating the breast [G2870], great [G3173] and [G2532] strong [G2478], exceedingly [G4970]. And [G2532] he made [G4160] the [G3588] mourning [G3997] of the [G3588] his father [G3962][G1473] seven [G2033] days [G2250].
11: And [G2532] saw [G1492] the [G3588] inhabitants of the [G3588] land '[G1093] of Canaan] the [G3588] mourning [G3997] at [G1909] threshing-floor of Atad. And [G2532] they said [G2036], mourning [G3997] a great [G3173] This [G3778] is to the [G3588] Egyptians. On account of [G1223] this [G3778] they called [G2564] the [G3588] name [G3686] of the [G3588] that place [G5117][G1565], Mourning [G3997] of Egypt, which [G3739] is on the other side [G4008] of the [G3588] Jordan.
12: And [G2532] did [G4160] to him [G1473] thus [G3779] the [G3588] his sons [G5207][G1473], as [G2531] he gave charge [G1781] to them [G1473].
13: And [G2532] took him [G1473] the [G3588] his sons [G5207][G1473] into [G1519] land '[G1093] of Canaan. And [G2532] they entombed [G2290] him [G1473] in [G1519] the [G3588] cave [G4693] the [G3588] double [G1362] which [G3739] Abraham acquired [G2932]; the [G3588] cave [G4693] for [G1722] a possession of a memorial [G3419] from [G3844] Ephron the [G3588] Hittite, over against [G2713] Mamre.
14: And [G2532] Joseph returned [G5290] to [G1519] Egypt, himself [G1473] and [G2532] the [G3588] brothers of him [G1473], and [G2532] all [G3956] the [ones] the [G3588] going up together with [him [G4872] to entomb [G2290] the [G3588] his father [G3962][G1473].
15: knowing [G1492] And [G1161] the [G3588] brothers of Joseph] that [G3754] died [G2348] the [G3588]ir father [G3962][G1473], said [G2036], Lest at any time [G3379] should resent us [G1473] Joseph], and [G2532] with a recompense , recompense to us [G1473] all [G3956] the [G3588] bad [things] [G2556] which [G3739] we demonstrated [G1731] against him [G1473],
16: [that they [G2532] having come [G3854] to [G4314] Joseph, said [G2036], the [G3588] Father [G3962] of you [G1473] bound [us] by an oath [G3726] before [G4253] the [G3588] he came to an end [G5053][G1473], saying [G3004],
17: So [G3779] say [G2036] to Joseph, You forgive them [G1473] the [G3588] injustice and [G2532] the [G3588]ir sin [G1473]! for [G3754] wicked [way [G4190] they demonstrated against you [G1473][G1731]. And [G2532] now [G3568] you accept [G1209] the [G3588] injustice of the [G3588] attendants [G2324] of the [G3588] God '[G2316] of the [G3588] father [G3962] of you [G1473]! And [G2532] Joseph wept [G2799] [during] their speaking [G2980][G1473] to [G4314] him [G1473].
18: And [G2532] coming [G2064] to [G4314] him [G1473], they said [G2036], See [G2396]! we [G1473] are your [G1473] servants [G3610].
19: And [G2532] said [G2036] to them [G1473] Joseph], [Do] not [G3361] fear [G5399]! for the [G3588] [G1063] of God '[G2316] I am [G1473].
20: You [G1473] planned [G1011] concerning [G2596] me [G1473] for [G1519] evil [G4190], the [G3588] but [G1161] God '[G2316] planned [G1011] concerning [G4012] me [G1473] for [G1519] good , that [G3704] it should be [G1096] as [G5613] [it is] today [G4594], that [G2443] he might maintain people [G2992] many [G4183].
21: And [G2532] he said [G2036] to them [G1473], Do not [G3361] fear [G5399]! I [G1473] will maintain you [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] your residence [G3614][G1473]. And [G2532] he comforted [G3870] them [G1473], and [G2532] spoke [G2980] of them [G1473] in [G1519] the [G3588] heart [G2588].
22: And [G2532] Joseph dwelt [G2730] in [G1722] Egypt, he [G1473] and [G2532] the [G3588] brothers of him [G1473], and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] whole family of the [G3588] his father [G3962][G1473]. And [G2532] Joseph lived [G2198] years [G2094] a hundred [G1540] ten [G1176].
23: And [G2532] Joseph saw [G1492] Ephraim's children [G3813] unto [G2193] third [G5154] generation [G1074]. And [G2532] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Machir, the [G3588] son [G5207] of Manasseh, were born [G5088] upon [G1909] Joseph's thighs [G3382].
24: And [G2532] Joseph said [G2036] to the [G3588] brothers of him [G1473], saying [G3004], I [G1473] die , and visiting [G1984][G1161], will visit [G1980] you [G1473] the [G3588] God '[G2316], and [G2532] lead you [G1473] from out of [G1537] the [G3588] this land '[G1093][G1473], into [G1519] the [G3588] land '[G1093] which [G3739] swore by an oath [G3660] the [G3588] God '[G2316] [to the [G3588] your fathers [G3962][G1473], Abraham, Isaac, and [G2532] Jacob.
25: And [G2532] Joseph bound by an oath [G3726] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel, saying [G3004], In [G1722] the [G3588] visitation [G1984] in which [G3739] God will visit [G1980] the [G3588][G2316] you [G1473], even [G2532] you will join in carrying off the [G3588] my bones [G3747][G1473] from here [G1782] with [G3326] you [G1473].
26: And [G2532] Joseph came to an end [G5053] -- years [old [G2094] a hundred [G1540] ten [G1176]. And [G2532] they entombed [G2290] him [G1473], and [G2532] they placed [him [G5087] in [G1722] the [G3588] coffin [G4673] in [G1722] Egypt.
