Jonah Chapter 1 - | Early Church Bible

1: And [G2532] came [G1096] word [G3056] of Boss '[G2962] to [G4314] Jonah the [G3588] son of the [G3588] Amittai, saying [G3004],
2: Rise up , and [G2532] go [G4198] unto [G1519] Nineveh the [G3588] city [G4172] the [G3588] [one] great [G3173], and [G2532] proclaim [G2784] in [G1722] it [G1473]! for [G3754] went up the [G3588] cry [G2906] of the [G3588] evils [G2549] to [G4314] me [G1473].
3: And [G2532] Jonah rose up to the [G3588] fleeing [G5343] into [G1519] Tarshish from [G1537] face [G4383] of Boss '[G2962]. And [G2532] he went down [G2597] into [G1519] Joppa. And [G2532] he found [G2147] a boat [G4143] proceeding to [G1519] Tarshish, and [G2532] he gave [G1325] the [G3588] fare of him [G1473], and [G2532] went up into [G1519] it [G1473] to the [G3588] sailing [G4126] with [G3326] them [G1473] unto [G1519] Tarshish from [G1537] face [G4383] of Boss '[G2962].
4: And [G2532] Boss '[G2962] raised up [G1825] a wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151] upon [G1909] the [G3588] sea [G2281]; and [G2532] there became [G1096] a swell [G2830] great [G3173] in [G1722] the [G3588] sea [G2281], and [G2532] the [G3588] boat [G4143] was exposed to danger [G2793] of the [G3588] breaking up [G4937].
5: And [G2532] feared [G5399] the [G3588] mariners , and [G2532] yelled out each [G1538] to [G4314] the [G3588] god [G2316] of him [G1473]. And [G2532] an expulsion [G1546] they made [G4160] of the [G3588] items [G4632], of the [G3588] [ones] in [G1722] the [G3588] boat [G4143], into [G1519] the [G3588] sea [G2281], to the [G3588] lighten [G2893] off of them [G1473]. But Jonah [G1161] went down [G2597] into [G1519] the [G3588] hold of the [G3588] boat [G4143], and [G2532] he went to sleep [G2518], and [G2532] snored .
6: And [G2532] drew near [G4334] toward [G4314] him [G1473] the [G3588] captain , and [G2532] said [G2036] to him [G1473], Why [G5100] do you [G1473] snore ? Rise up , call upon [G1941] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of you [G1473]! so that [G3704] should preserve [G1295] the [G3588] God '[G2316] us [G1473], and [G2532] in no way we should be destroyed .
7: And [G2532] said [G2036] each [G1538] to [G4314] the [G3588] neighbor [G4139] of him [G1473], Come [G1205] we should cast lots [G2819], and [G2532] we will know [G1921] for what [reason [G5100][G1752] the [G3588] evil [G2549] this [G3778] is to us [G1473]. And [G2532] they cast lots [G2819], and [G2532] fell [G4098] the [G3588] lot [G2819] upon [G1909] Jonah.
8: And [G2532] they said [G2036] to [G4314] him [G1473], Report indeed [G1211]! for what [reason [G5100][G1752] the [G3588] evil [G2549] tof him '[G1473] is upon [G1722] us [G1473]? What [G5100] of you [G1473] the [G3588] work [G2039] is , and [G2532] from where [G4159] have you come [G2064], and [G2532] from out of [G1537] what kind [G4169] of place [G5561], and [G2532] from out of [G1537] what kind [G4169] of people [G2992] are you [G1473]?
9: And [G2532] he said [G2036] toward [G4314] them [G1473], a servant [G1401] Boss '[G2962] am I [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of the [G3588] raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772] I [G1473] worship [G4576] who [G3739] made [G4160] the [G3588] sea [G2281] and [G2532] the [G3588] dry [land [G3584].
10: And [G2532] feared [G5399] the [G3588] men fear [G5401] a great [G3173], and [G2532] they said [G2036] to [G4314] him [G1473], What [G5100] is this [G3778] you did [G4160]? (because [G1360] knew [G1097] the [G3588] men that [G3754] from [G1537] face [G4383] [of the] Boss '[G2962] he was fleeing [G5343], for [G3754] he reported [it to them. [G1473])
11: And [G2532] they said [G2036] to [G4314] him [G1473], What [G5100] should we do [G4160] to you [G1473], and [G2532] abates [G2869] the [G3588] sea [G2281] from us [G1473]? (for [G3754] the [G3588] sea [G2281] went forth [G4198] and [G2532] rose up [G1825] a rather [G3123] [great] swell. [G2830])
12: And [G2532] Jonah said [G2036] to [G4314] them [G1473], Lift me [G1473], and [G2532] cast [me [G1685] into [G1519] the [G3588] sea [G2281], and [G2532] will abate [G2869] the [G3588] sea [G2281] from you [G1473]! Because [G1360] I know [G1097][G1473], that [G3754] on account of [G1223] me [G1473] the [G3588] swell [G2830] the [G3588] great [G3173] this [G3778] upon [G1909] you [G1473] is .
13: And [G2532] pressed on [G3849] the [G3588] men the [G3588] to turn [G1994] towards [G4314] the [G3588] land '[G1093], and [G2532] they were not [G3756] able [G1410], for [G3754] the [G3588] sea [G2281] went [G4198], and [G2532] it rose up [G1825] rather [G3123] upon [G1909] them [G1473].
14: And [G2532] they yelled out to [G4314] Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] they said [G2036], By no means [G3365], O Boss '[G2962], should [G3361] you destroy [us because of [G1752] the [G3588] soul [G5590] of the [G3588] this man [G3778], and [G2532] should not [G3361] be imputed [G1325] against [G1909] us [G1473] blood of just [G1342]; for [G1360] you [G1473], O Boss '[G2962], in which [G3739] manner [G5158] you want [G1014], you do [G4160].
15: And [G2532] they took [G2983] the [G3588] Jonah, and [G2532] they cast [G1544] him [G1473] into [G1519] the [G3588] sea [G2281]. And [G2532] stood [G2476] the [G3588] sea [G2281] from [G1537] the [G3588] its tossing about [G4535].
16: And [G2532] feared [G5399] the [G3588] men fear [G5401] a great [G3173] of the [G3588] Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] they sacrificed [G2380] a sacrifice [G2378] to the [G3588] Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] vowed [G2172] the [G3588] vows [G2171].
17: And [G2532] BOSS assigned [G4367][G2962] whale [G2785] a great [G3173] to swallow [G2666] the [G3588] Jonah. And [G2532] Jonah was in [G1722] the [G3588] belly [G2836] of the [G3588] whale [G2785] three [G5140] days [G2250] and [G2532] three [G5140] nights [G3571].
