John Chapter 7 - | Early Church Bible

1: And [G2532] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) was walking [G4043] the [G3588] with [G3326] these [G3778] in [G1722] the [G3588] Galilee, for he did not [G3756][G1063] want [G2309] in [G1722] the [G3588] Judea to walk [G4043], for [G3754] sought [G2212] him [G1473] the [G3588] Jews to kill .
2: And it was [G1161] near [G1451] the [G3588] holiday [G1859] of the [G3588] Jews -- the [G3588] [one] of pitching tents [G4634].
3: said [G2036] Then [G3767] to [G4314] him [G1473] the [G3588] brothers of him [G1473], Cross over [G3327] from here [G1782], and [G2532] go [G5217] into [G1519] the [G3588] Judea! that [G2443] also [G2532] the [G3588] your trainees '[G3101][G1473] should view [G2334] the [G3588] works [G2041] of you [G1473] which [G3739] you do [G4160].
4: For no one [G3762][G1063] in [G1722] secret [G2927] does anything [G5100][G4160], and [G2532] seeks [G2212] he himself [G1473] in [G1722] an open manner [G3954] to be . If [G1487] these [things] [G3778] you do [G4160], manifest [G5319] yourself [G4572] to the [G3588] arrangement '[G2889]!
5: For neither [G3761][G1063] the [G3588] brothers of him [G1473] trusted '[G4100] in [G1519] him [G1473].
6: Then says [G3004][G3767] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) to them [G1473] the [G3588], the [G3588] time [G2540] the [G3588] My [G1699] [is] not yet [G3768] at hand [G3918]; the [G3588] but [G1161] time [G2540] the [G3588] your [G5212] at all times [G3842] is ready [G2092].
7: is not [G3756] able [G1410] the [G3588] arrangement '[G2889] to detest [G3404] you [G1473]; but me [G1473][G1161] it detests [G3404], for [G3754] I [G1473] testify [G3140] concerning [G4012] it [G1473], that [G3754] the [G3588] its works [G2041][G1473] are evil [G4190].
8: You [G1473] go up unto [G1519] the [G3588] this holiday [feast [G1859][G3778]! I [G1473] not yet [G3768] go up unto [G1519] the [G3588] this holiday [feast [G1859][G3778], for [G3754] the [G3588] time [G2540] the [G3588] my [G1699] [has] not yet [G3768] been fulfilled [G4137].
9: And these [things] [G3778][G1161] having said [G2036] to them [G1473], he stayed [G3306] in [G1722] the [G3588] Galilee.
10: But as [G5613][G1161] went up the [G3588] brothers of him [G1473], then [G5119] also [G2532] he [G1473] went up unto [G1519] the [G3588] holiday [feast [G1859], not [G3756] openly [G5320], but as [G5613] in [G1722] secret [G2927].
11: Then the [G3588][G3767] Jews sought [G2212] him [G1473] during [G1722] the [G3588] holiday [feast [G1859], and [G2532] they said [G3004], Where [G4226] is that one [G1565]?
12: And [G2532] grumbling [G1112] much [G4183] concerning [G4012] him [G1473] there was among [G1722] the [G3588] crowds [G3793]. Some the [G3588][G3303] said [G3004] that [G3754], He is good . Others said [G3004], No [G3756], but he misleads [G4105] the [G3588] crowd [G3793]!
13: No one [G3762] however [G3305] in an open manner [G3954] spoke [G2980] concerning [G4012] him [G1473] for [G1223] the [G3588] fear [G5401] of the [G3588] Jews.
14: But already [G2235][G1161] of the [G3588] holiday [G1859] being in the middle [G3322], Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) went up the [G3588] into [G1519] the [G3588] temple [G2413], and [G2532] was teaching [G1321].
15: And [G2532] marvelled [G2296] the [G3588] Jews], saying [G3004], How [G4459] did this one [G3778] letters [G1121] know [G1492], not [G3361] having learned [G3129]?
16: answered them [G1473] the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]), and [G2532] said [G2036], the [G3588] My [G1699] teaching [G1322] not [G3756] is mine [G1699], but the [G3588] [one] having sent [G3992] me [G1473].
17: If [G1437] anyone [G5100] should want [G2309] the [G3588] will [G2307] of him [G1473] to do [G4160], he will know [G1097] concerning [G4012] the [G3588] teaching [G1322], whether [G4220] of [G1537] the [G3588] God '[G2316] it is , or [G2228] I [G1473] from myself [G1683] speak [G2980].
18: the [one] [G3588] from himself [G1438] speaking [G2980], the [G3588] glory [G1391] the [G3588] his own [G2398] seeks [G2212]; but the [G3588] [one] [G1161] seeking [G2212] the [G3588] glory [G1391] of the [G3588] [one] having sent [G3992] him [G1473], this one [G3778] is true , and [G2532] unrighteousness in [G1722] him [G1473] not [G3756] is .
19: Has not [G3756] Moses given [G1325] you [G1473] the [G3588] law [G3551], and [G2532] not one [G3762] of [G1537] you [G1473] practices [G4160] the [G3588] law [G3551]? Why [G5100] me [G1473] do you seek [G2212] to kill ?
20: answered the [G3588] crowd [G3793] and [G2532] said [G2036], a demon [G1140] You have [G2192]; who [G5100] you [G1473] seeks [G2212] to kill ?
21: Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) answered the [G3588] and [G2532] said [G2036] to them [G1473], One [G1520] work [G2041] I did [G4160], and [G2532] you all [G3956] marvel [G2296].
22: On account of [G1223] this [G3778] Moses has given [G1325] to you [G1473] the [G3588] circumcision [G4061], not [G3756] that [G3754] from [G1537] the [G3588] Moses it is , but from [G1537] the [G3588] fathers [G3962]; and [G2532] on [G1722] Sabbath [G4521] you circumcise [G4059] a man .
23: If [G1487] circumcision [G4061] receives [G2983] a man on [G1722] Sabbath [G4521], that [G2443] should not [G3361] be untied [G3089] the [G3588] law [G3551] of Moses], with me [G1473] [why] are you incensed [G5520] that [G3754] entirely [G3650] a man in health [G5199] I made [G4160] on [G1722] Sabbath [G4521]?
24: Judge not [G3361][G2919] according to [G2596] appearance [G3799], but the [G3588] righteous [G1342] judgment [G2920] judge [G2919]!
25: Said [G3004] then [G3767] some [G5100] of [G1537] the [G3588] [ones] of Jerusalem, not [G3756] Is this [G3778] whom [G3739] they seek [G2212] to kill ?
26: And [G2532] you look [here]! [G2396] in an open manner [G3954] he speaks [G2980], and [G2532] nothing [G3762] to him [G1473] they say [G3004]; perhaps [G3379] truly know [G1097] the [G3588] rulers that [G3754] this [G3778] is truly the [G3588] [one] Anointed '[G5547].
27: But this [G3778] we know [G1492] from what place [G4159] he is ; but the [G3588][G1161] Anointed "'[G5547] whenever [G3752] he should come [G2064], no one [G3762] knows [G1097] from what place [G4159] he is .
28: cried out [G2896] then [G3767] in [G1722] the [G3588] temple [G2413] teaching [G1321] the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]), and [G2532] saying [G3004], And me [G2504] you have known [G1492], and [G2532] you have known [G1492] from what place [G4159] I am . And [G2532] off myself [G1683] I have not come [G3756][G2064], but is true the [G3588] [one] sending [G3992] me [G1473], whom [G3739] you [G1473] know not [G3756][G1492].
29: I [G1473] have known [G1492] him [G1473], for [G3754] from [G3844] him [G1473] I am , and that one [G2548] sent me [G1473].
30: They were seeking [G2212] then [G3767] to lay hold of him [G1473][G4084]; and [G2532] no one [G3762] put [G1911] upon [G1909] him [G1473] [their the [G3588] hand [G5495], for [G3754] had not yet [G3768] come [G2064] the [G3588] his hour [G5610][G1473].
31: But many [G4183][G1161] from out of [G1537] the [G3588] crowd [G3793] trusted '[G4100] in [G1519] him [G1473], and [G2532] said [G3004] that [G3754], the [G3588] [one] Anointed '[G5547], whenever [G3752] he should come [G2064], will [G3385] more [G4183] signs [G4592] [than] these [G3778] he do [G4160] which [G3739] this one [G3778] did [G4160]?
32: heard the [G3588] Pharisees [G5330] ("Separate Ones" [H6504])] of the [G3588] crowd [G3793] murmuring [G1111] concerning [G4012] him [G1473] these [things] [G3778]; and [G2532] sent officers [G5257] the [G3588] Pharisees [G5330] ("Separate Ones" [H6504]) and [G2532] the [G3588] chief priests that [G2443] they should lay hold of [G4084] him [G1473].
33: said [G2036] then [G3767] to them [G1473] the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]), Still [G2089] a little [G3397] time [G5550] with [G3326] you [G1473] I am , and [G2532] I go away [G5217] to [G4314] the [G3588] [one] having sent [G3992] me [G1473].
34: You will seek [G2212] me [G1473], and [G2532] will not find [G3756][G2147]; and [G2532] where [G3699] I am [G1473], you [G1473] [are] not [G3756] able [G1410] to come [G2064].
35: said [G2036] then [G3767] the [G3588] Jews] to [G4314] themselves [G1438], Where [G4226] [is] this one [G3778] about [G3195] to go [G4198] that [G3754] we [G1473] will not [G3756] find [G2147] him [G1473]? Is [G3361] unto [G1519] the [G3588] dispersion [G1290] of the [G3588] Greeks he about [G3195] to go [G4198], and [G2532] to teach [G1321] the [G3588] Greeks?
36: What [G5100] is this [G3778] the [G3588] word [G3056] which [G3739] he said [G2036], You will seek [G2212] me [G1473], and [G2532] will not find [G3756][G2147]; and [G2532], Where [G3699] I am [G1473], you [G1473] are not [G3756] able [G1410] to come [G2064]?
37: And during [G1722][G1161] the [G3588] last [G2078] day [G2250], the great one the [G3588][G3173] of the [G3588] holiday [feast [G1859], Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) stood [G2476] the [G3588] and [G2532] cried out [G2896], saying [G3004], If [G1437] anyone [G5100] should thirst [G1372], come [G2064] to [G4314] me [G1473] and [G2532] drink [G4095]!
38: the [one] [G3588] trusting '[G4100] in [G1519] me [G1473], as [G2531] said [G2036] the [G3588] scripture [G1124], rivers [G4215] From out of [G1537] the [G3588] his belly [G2836][G1473] will flow [G4482] water [G5204] of living [G2198].
39: But this [G3778][G1161] he said [G2036] concerning [G4012] the [G3588] wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151], of which [G3739] were about [G3195] to receive [G2983] the [G3588] [ones] trusting '[G4100] in [G1519] him [G1473]; not yet [G3768] for [G1063] there was wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151] pure ', for [G3754] the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) was not yet [G3764] glorified [G1392].
40: Many [G4183] then [G3767] from out of [G1537] the [G3588] crowd [G3793], hearing the [G3588] word [G3056], said [G3004], This [G3778] is truly the [G3588] prophet [G4396].
41: Others said [G3004], This [G3778] is the [G3588] [one] Anointed '[G5547]. And others [G1161] said [G3004], Does [G3361][G1063] from out of [G1537] the [G3588] Galilee the [G3588] Anointed "'[G5547] come [G2064]?
42: not [G3780] the [G3588] scripture [G1124] Said [G2036] that [G3754] from out of [G1537] the [G3588] seed [G4690] of David, and [G2532] from Bethlehem, of the [G3588] town [G2968] where [G3699] David was from , the [G3588] [one] Anointed '[G5547] comes [G2064]?
43: A split [G4978] then [G3767] among [G1722] the [G3588] crowd [G3793] took place [G1096] because of [G1223] him [G1473].
44: But some [G5100][G1161] wanted [G2309] of [G1537] them [G1473] to lay hold of [G4084] him [G1473], but no one [G3762] put [G1911] upon [G1909] him [G1473] the [G3588] hands [G5495].
45: Came [G2064] then [G3767] of the [G3588]ficers [G5257] to [G4314] the [G3588] chief priests and [G2532] Pharisees [G5330] ("Separate Ones" [H6504]), and [G2532] said [G2036] to them [G1473] those [G1565], For [G1223] why [G5100] did you not [G3756] convey ' him [G1473]?
46: answered Of the [G3588]ficers [G5257], At no time [G3763] thus [G3779] spoke [G2980] a man as [G5613] this [G3778] the [G3588] man .
47: responded then [G3767] to them [G1473] the [G3588] Pharisees [G5330] ("Separate Ones" [H6504])], Have [G3361] you also [G2532][G1473] been misled [G4105]?
48: Did any [G3385] of [G1537] the [G3588] rulers trust '[G4100] in [G1519] him [G1473], or [G2228] of [G1537] the [G3588] Pharisees [G5330] ("Separate Ones" [H6504])?
49: But the [G3588] this crowd [G3793][G3778], the [G3588] [one] not [G3361] knowing [G1097] the [G3588] law [G3551], they are accursed [G1944].
50: Nicodemus says [G3004] to [G4314] them [G1473], (the [one] [G3588] coming [G2064] by night [G3571] to [G4314] him [G1473], being one [G1520] of [G1537] them) [G1473],
51: Does [G3361] the [G3588] our law [G3551][G1473] judge [G2919] the [G3588] man , if [G1437] it not [G3361] be heard from [G3844] him [G1473] prior [G4387], and [G2532] [made] known [G1097] what [G5100] he does [G4160]?
52: They answered and [G2532] said [G2036] to him [G1473], [G3361] you also [G2532][G1473] from out of [G1537] the [G3588] Galilee Are ? Search [G2045] and [G2532] see [G1492]! that [G3754] a prophet [G4396] from out of [G1537] the [G3588] Galilee arises not [G3756][G1453].
53: And [G2532] went [G4198] each [G1538] unto [G1519] the [G3588] his house [G3624][G1473].
