1: The [G3588] word [G3056] the [G3588] coming [G1096] to [G4314] Jeremiah from [G3844] Boss '[G2962] afterwards [G5305] with [G3326] the [G3588] his being sent [G1473] by Nabuzar-adan the [G3588] chief guard from out of [G1537] Ramah in [G1722] the [G3588] taking [G2983] him [G1473] in [G1722] manacles in [G1722] midst [G3319] of resettlement of Judah, of the [G3588] [ones] being conveyed ' into [G1519] Babylon.
2: And [G2532] took [G2983] him [G1473] the [G3588] chief guard , and [G2532] said [G2036] to him [G1473], Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of you [G1473] spoke [G2980] the [G3588]se evils [G2556][G3778] against [G1909] the [G3588] this place [G5117][G3778].
3: And [G2532] BOSS did [G4160][G2962] as [G2531] he said [G2980], for [G3754] you [all] sinned against him [G1473], and [G2532] hearkened not to [G3756] the [G3588] his voice [G5456][G1473], and [G2532] happened [G1096] to you [G1473] the [G3588] this word [G3056][G3778],
4: And now [G3568][G1161] look [G2400], I untied [G3089] you [G1473] from the [G3588] manacles , of the [G3588] [ones] upon [G1909] the [G3588] your hands [G5495][G1473]. If [G1487] [it is] good [G2570] before [G1726] you [G1473] to go [G2064] with [G3326] me [G1473] into [G1519] Babylon, come [G2240]! and [G2532] I will put [G5087] the [G3588] my eyes [G3788][G1473] upon [G1909] you [G1473]. But if [G1487][G1161] not [G3361] run from [here ! look [G2400], all [G3956] the [G3588] land '[G1093] before [G1799] you [G1473] [is] for [G1519] good [G2570]; and [G2532] for [G1519] [what is] pleasing in [G1722] eyes [G3788] of you [G1473] the [G3588] to go [G4198] there [G1563], go [G4198]!
5: And [G2532] return to [G4314] the [G3588] Gedaliah son [G5207] of Ahikam son [G5207] of Shaphan! whom [G3739] established [G2525] king of Babylon] in [G1722] land '[G1093] of Judah. And [G2532] live [G3611] with [G3326] him [G1473] in [G1722] midst [G3319] of the [G3588] people [G2992]! for [G1519] all [G3956] the [things] [G3588] good in [G1722] eyes [G3788] of you [G1473] the [G3588] to go [to [G4198] -- [then] go [G4198]! And [G2532] gave [G1325] to him [G1473] the [G3588] chief guard a feast and [G2532] gifts [G1435], and [G2532] sent him [G1473].
6: And [G2532] he came [G2064] to [G4314] Gedaliah in [G1519] Mizpah, and [G2532] sat down [G2523] in [G1722] midst [G3319] of the [G3588] people [G2992], of the [G3588] [one] being left behind [G2641] in [G1722] the [G3588] land '[G1093].
7: And [G2532] heard all [G3956] the [G3588] leaders [G2232] of for the [G3588]ce [G1411] the [G3588] in [G1722] field , they [G1473] and [G2532] the [G3588]ir force [G1411][G1473], that [G3754] established [G2525] king of Babylon the [G3588] Gedaliah in [G1722] the [G3588] land '[G1093], and [G2532] that [G3754] they deposited to his care [G1473] men and [G2532] their wives [G1135][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] simple [people [G3516], and [G2532] for [G4012] the [G3588] needy [G3993] of the [G3588] land '[G1093] which [G3739] he resettled not [G3756] in [G1519] Babylon.
8: And [G2532] came [G2064] to [G4314] Gedaliah in [G1519] Mizpah, even [G2532] Ishmael son [G5207] of Nethaniah, and [G2532] Johanan son [G5207] of Kareah, and [G2532] Seraiah son [G5207] of Tanhumeth, and [G2532] sons [G5207] of Ephai the [G3588] Netophathite, and [G2532] Jezaniah son [G5207] of the [G3588] Maachathite -- they [G1473] and [G2532] the [G3588]ir men [G1473].
9: And [G2532] swore by an oath [G3660] to them [G1473] Gedaliah] and [G2532] [to the [G3588]ir men [G1473], saying [G3004], Lest [G3361] you should fear [G5399] from face [G4383] of the [G3588] servants [G3816] of the [G3588] Chaldeans, dwell [G2730] in [G1722] the [G3588] land '[G1093], and [G2532] work [G2038] for the [G3588] king of Babylon! and [G2532] it will be better for you [G1473].
10: And [G2532] look [G2400], I [G1473] sit [G2521] in [G1519] Mizpah to stand [G2476] against [G2596] face [G4383] of the [G3588] Chaldeans, to whom [G3739] ever should come [G2064] against [G1909] us [G1473]. And [G2532] you [G1473] bring together [G4863] wine [G3631], and [G2532] autumn fruits [G3703], and [G2532] olive oil [G1637], and [G2532] lay them in [G1519] the [G3588] your receptacles [G1473], and [G2532] dwell [G3611] in [G1722] the [G3588] cities [G4172] which [G3739] you held !
11: And [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] Jews, the [G3588] [ones] in [G1722] Moab, and [G2532] among [G1722] sons [G5207] of Ammon, and [G2532] the [G3588] [ones] in [G1722] the [G3588] Edom, and [G2532] the [G3588] [ones] in [G1722] all [G3956] the [G3588] land '[G1093], heard that [G3754] granted [G1325] king of Babylon] a vestige [G2640] the [G3588] to Judah, and [G2532] that [G3754] he placed [G2525] over [G1909] them [G1473] the [G3588] Gedaliah son [G5207] of Ahikam.
12: And [G2532] were returned [G4762] all [G3956] the [G3588] Jews] from every [G3956] place [G5117] into [G1519] which [G3739] they were dispersed [G1289]. And [G2532] they came [G2064] to [G4314] Gedaliah in [G1519] land '[G1093] of Judah in [G1519] Mizpah. And [G2532] they gathered [G4863] wine [G3631] and [G2532] autumn fruits [G3703] -- much [G4183], exceedingly [G4970], and [G2532] olive oil [G1637].
13: And [G2532] Johanan son [G5207] of Kareah, and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] governors [G2232] of for the [G3588]ce [G1411], the [G3588] [ones] in [G1722] the [G3588] fields , came [G2064] to [G4314] the [G3588] Gedaliah in [G1519] Mizpah.
14: And [G2532] they said [G2036] to him [G1473], Do you [G1487] with knowledge [G1108] know [G1097] that [G3754] Baalis king of sons [G5207] of Ammon sent against [G4314] you [G1473] the [G3588] Ishmael son [G5207] of Nethaniah, to strike [G3960] your life [G5590][G1473]? and [G2532] did not trust [G3756][G4100] them [G1473] Gedaliah son [G5207] of Ahikam].
15: And [G2532] Johanan son [G5207] of Kareah said [G2036] the [G3588] to Gedaliah secretly in [G1722] Mizpah, I will go [G4198] indeed [G1211], and [G2532] I will strike [G3960] the [G3588] Ishmael son [G5207] of Nethaniah, and [G2532] let no one [G3367] know [G1097]! lest [G3361] he should strike [G3960] your [G1473] soul [G5590], and [G2532] should scatter [G1289] all [G3956] Judah, the [G3588] [ones] being brought together [G4863] to [G4314] you [G1473], and [G2532] they will destroy the [G3588] rest [G1954] of Judah.
16: And [G2532] Gedaliah said [G2036] to [G4314] Johanan son [G5207] of Kareah, You should not [G3361] do [G4160] the [G3588] this thing [G4229][G3778], for [G3754] lies [G5571] you [G1473] speak [G3004] concerning [G5228] Ishmael.
