Ezekiel Chapter 1 - | Early Church Bible

1: And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] in [G1722] the [G3588] thirtieth year [G2094], in [G1722] the [G3588] fourth [G5067] month [G3376], fifth [G3991] of the [G3588] month [G3376], and [G2532] I [G1473] was in [G1722] midst [G3319] of the [G3588] captivity by [G1909] the [G3588] river [G4215] the [G3588] Chebar, and [G2532] were opened the [G3588] raised-places-above (skies) '[G3772], and [G2532] I looked [at] [G1492] visions [G3706] of God '[G2316].
2: [On the] fifth [G3991] of the [G3588] month [G3376], this [is [G3778] the [G3588] year [G2094] the [G3588] fifth [G3991] of the [G3588] captivity of the [G3588] king Jehoiakim,
3: and [G2532] came [G1096] word [G3056] [of the] Boss '[G2962] to [G4314] Ezekiel, the [G3588] son [G5207] of Buzi the [G3588] priest [G2409], in [G1722] land '[G1093] of Chaldeans by [G1909] the [G3588] river [G4215] the [G3588] Chebar; and [G2532] came [G1096] upon [G1909] me [G1473] hand [G5495] [of the] Boss '[G2962].
4: And [G2532] I looked [at] [G1492], and [G2532] look [G2400], a wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151] lifting up [G1808] came [G2064] from north [G1005], and [G2532] cloud [G3507] a great [G3173] with [G1722] it [G1473], and [G2532] brightness [G5338] round about [G2945] it [G1473], and [G2532] fire [G4442] flashing [G1823]. And [G2532] in [G1722] the [G3588] midst [G3319] of it [G1473] [was] as [G5613] vision [G3706] of molten bronze in [G1722] midst [G3319] of the [G3588] fire [G4442], and [G2532] brightness [G5338] in [G1722] it [G1473].
5: And [G2532] in [G1722] the [G3588] midst [G3319] [was] as [G5613] a likeness [G3667] of four [G5064] living creatures [G2226]. And [G2532] this [G3778] [is the [G3588]ir vision [G3706][G1473] -- a likeness [G3667] of a man [was] unto [G1909] them [G1473].
6: And [G2532] [there were] four [G5064] faces [G4383] to the [G3588] [one] [G1520], and [G2532] four [G5064] wings [G4420] to the [G3588] [one] [G1520].
7: And [G2532] the [G3588]ir legs [G4628][G1473] [were] straight [G3717]; and [G2532] feathered the [G3588]ir feet [G4228][G1473]; and [G2532] [there were] sparks as [G5613] flashing [G1823] brass [G5475]; and [G2532] [were] light [G1645] the [G3588]ir wings [G4420][G1473].
8: And [G2532] hand [G5495] of a man [was] beneath the [G3588]ir wings [G4420][G1473], upon [G1909] the [G3588] four [G5064] parts [G3313] their [G1473]. And [G2532] the [G3588]ir faces [G4383][G1473] and [G2532] the [G3588]ir wings [G4420][G1473], of the [G3588] four [G5064], were being next to [G2192] other [G2087] of the [G3588] other [G2087].
9: And [G2532] the [G3588]ir wings [G4420][G1473] were not [G3756] turned [G1994] in [G1722] the [G3588]ir proceeding [G1473]; each [G1538] opposite [G2713] the [G3588]ir face [G4383][G1473] went [G4198].
10: And [G2532] likeness [G3669] of the [G3588]ir faces [G4383][G1473] [was as the] face [G4383] of a man , and [G2532] a face [G4383] of a lion [G3023] from out of [G1537] right [G1188] to the [G3588] four [G5064]; and [G2532] face [G4383] of a calf [G3448] from out of [G1537] left to the [G3588] four [G5064]; and [G2532] face [G4383] of an eagle to the [G3588] four [G5064].
11: And [G2532] the [G3588]ir wings [G4420][G1473] [were] stretching out [G1614] above ; to the [G3588] four [G5064] each [G1538], two [G1417] being yoked together [G4801] to [G4314] one another , and [G2532] two [G1417] covered up [G1943] upon [G1883] the [G3588]ir body [G4983][G1473].
12: And [G2532] each to the other in front [G2596][G4383] of him [G1473] went [G4198]. Where [G3739] ever was the [G3588] wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151] going [G4198], they went [G4198], and [G2532] they did not [G3756] turn [G1994].
13: And [G2532] in [G1722] midst [G3319] of the [G3588] living creatures [G2226] [was] a vision [G3706] as [G5613] of coals of fire [G4442] burning [G2545], as [G5613] appearance [G3799] of lamps [G2985] twisting [G4962] in the midst of the [G3588] living creatures [G2226]. And [G2532] brightness [G5338] [was] of the [G3588] fire [G4442], and [G2532] from out of [G1537] the [G3588] fire [G4442] went forth [G1607] as [G5613] lightning .
14: And [G2532] the [G3588] living creatures [G2226] [were] running [G5143] and [G2532] returning as [G5613] appearance [G1491] of the [G3588] lightning .
15: And [G2532] I looked [at] [G1492], and [G2532] look, [there was [G2400] wheel [G5164] one [G1520] upon [G1909] the [G3588] land '[G1093] being next to [G2192] the [G3588] living creatures [G2226], [next to] the [G3588] four [G5064].
16: And [G2532] the [G3588] look [G1491] of the [G3588] wheels [G5164] and [G2532] their action [G4161][G1473] [was] as [G5613] look [G1491] of Tharsis [stone . And [there was [G2532] likeness [G3667] one [G1520] to the [G3588] four [G5064]; and [G2532] the [G3588]ir work [G2041][G1473] was as [G2531] if it may be a wheel [G5164] in [G1722] a wheel [G5164].
17: Upon [G1909] the [G3588] four [G5064] parts [G3313] their [G1473] they went [G4198]; they did not [G3756] turn [G1994] in [G1722] the [G3588]ir going [G4198][G1473],
18: and [G2532] yet [G1161] the [G3588]ir backs [G3577][G1473] and [G2532] height [G5311] was to them [G1473]. And [G2532] I looked [at] [G1492] them [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588]ir backs [G3577] full [G4134] of eyes [G3788], round about [G2943] to the [G3588] four [G5064].
19: And [G2532] in [G1722] the [G3588] going [G4198], the [G3588] living creatures [G2226] went [G4198], the [G3588] wheels [G5164] being next to [G2192] them [G1473]. And [G2532] in [G1722] the [G3588] lifting away [G1808] the [G3588] living creatures [G2226] from the [G3588] land '[G1093] lifted away [G1808] the [G3588] wheels [G5164].
20: Where [G3739] ever was the [G3588] cloud [G3507] there [G1563] the [G3588] wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151] the [G3588] [was] to go [G4198]; went [G4198] the [G3588] living creatures [G2226], and [G2532] the [G3588] wheels [G5164] also [G2532] lifted away [G1808] with [G4862] them [G1473]; because [G1360] wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151] of life [G2222] [was] in [G1722] the [G3588] wheels [G5164].
21: In [G1722] the [G3588]ir going [G4198][G1473], [the wheels] went [G4198]; and [G2532] in [G1722] the [G3588]ir standing [G2476][G1473], [the wheels] stood [G2476]; and [G2532] in [G1722] the [G3588]ir lifting away [G1808][G1473] from the [G3588] land '[G1093], [the wheels] lifted away [G1808] with [G4862] them [G1473]; for [G3754] wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151] of life [G2222] was in [G1722] the [G3588] wheels [G5164].
22: And [G2532] likeness [G3667] above [G5228] head [G2776] of the [G3588] living creatures [G2226] [was] as [G5616] a structure [G4733], as [G5613] vision [G3706] of ice [G2930] being stretched out [G1614] over [G1909] the [G3588]ir wings [G4420][G1473] on top .
23: And [G2532] under [G5270] the [G3588] structure [G4733] the [G3588]ir wings [G4420][G1473] [were] stretching out [G1614] flapping , other [G2087] to the [G3588] other [G2087]; to each [G1538] two [G1417] covering [G1943] the [G3588]ir bodies [G4983][G1473].
24: And [G2532] I heard the [G3588] sound [G5456] of the [G3588]ir wings [G4420][G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588]ir going [G4198][G1473], as [G5613] sound [G5456] water [G5204] of much [G4183], as [G5613] sound [G5456] of a worthy one [G2425] in [G1722] the [G3588]ir going [G4198][G1473]; a sound [G5456] of the [G3588] word [G3056] as [G5613] a sound [G5456] of a camp [G3925]; and [G2532] in [G1722] the [G3588]ir standing [G2476][G1473] rested [G2664] the [G3588]ir wings [G4420][G1473].
25: And [G2532] look [G2400], a sound [G5456] far above the [G3588] structure [G4733],
26: of the one [G2532] being above [G5228] their head [G2776], as [G5613] a vision [G3706] of stone [G3037] of sapphire [G4552] [with] a likeness [G3667] of a throne [G2362] upon [G1909] it [G1473]; and [G2532] upon [G1909] the [G3588] likeness [G3667] of the [G3588] throne [G2362] [was] a likeness [G3667] as [G5613] a form [G1491] of a man from above .
27: And [G2532] I looked [at] [G1492] as [G5613] an appearance [G3799] of molten bronze , as [G5613] a vision [G3706] of fire [G4442] within [G2081] it [G1473] round about [G2945] from vision [G3706] of loin [G3751] and [G2532] up [G1883]; and [G2532] from vision [G3706] of loin [G3751] unto [G2193] below [G2736] I looked [at] [G1492] as [G5613] a vision [G3706] as [G5613] of fire [G4442], and [G2532] the [G3588] its brightness [G5338][G1473] round about [G2945].
28: As [G5613] vision [G3706] of a bow [G5115] whenever [G3752] it might be in [G1722] the [G3588] cloud [G3507] in [G1722] a day [G2250] of rain [G5205], thus [G3779] [was] the [G3588] position [G4714] of the [G3588] brightness [G5338] round about [G2943]. This [G3778] [is] the [G3588] vision [G3706] of likeness [G3667] of the [G3588] glory [G1391] of Boss '[G2962]. And [G2532] I looked [at] [G1492], and [G2532] I fell [G4098] upon [G1909] my face [G4383][G1473], and [G2532] I heard a voice [G5456] speaking [G2980].
