Ecclesiastes Chapter 9 - | Early Church Bible

1: As [G5613] the [G3588] just [G1342], and [G2532] the [G3588] wise [G4680], even [G2532] the [G3588]ir works [G2039][G1473] are in [G1722] hand [G5495] of the [G3588] God '[G2316]. Indeed even [G2532][G1065] love , indeed even [G2532][G1065] hatred , there is no [G3756] knowing [G1492] the [G3588] man all the [things] [G3588][G3956] before [G4253][G4383] them [G1473].
2: Folly [G3153] [is] in [G1722] the [G3588] all [things] [G3956]; event [there is] one [G1520] to the [G3588] just [G1342], and [G2532] one [G1520] to the [G3588] impious ; to the [G3588] good and [G2532] to the [G3588] bad [G2556]; and [G2532] to the [G3588] clean [G2513] and [G2532] to the [G3588] unclean ; and [G2532] to the [G3588] [one] sacrificing and [G2532] to the [G3588] [one] not [G3361] sacrificing ; as [G5613] [is] the [G3588] good , as [G5613] [is] the [G3588] [one] sinning ; as [G5613] the [G3588] [one] swearing by an oath [G3660], as [G2531] [is] the [G3588] [one] the [G3588] oath [G3727] fearing [G5399].
3: This [G3778] evil [G4190] [is] in [G1722] all [G3956] being done [G4160] under [G5259] the [G3588] sun [G2246], for [there is [G3754] event one [G1520] the [G3588] to all [G3956]. And [G2532] indeed [G1065] heart [G2588] of sons [G5207] of the [G3588] man are filled [G4137] with evil [G4190]; and [G2532] madness in [G1722] their heart [G2588][G1473] during [G1722] their life [G2222][G1473], and [G2532] after [G3694] them [G1473] [they go] to [G4314] the [G3588] dead [G3498].
4: For [G3754] someone [G5100] who [G3739] participates [G2841] with [G4314] all [G3956] the [G3588] living [G2198] there is hope [G1680]; for [G3754] the [G3588] dog [G2965] the [G3588] living [G2198] himself [G1473] [is] good over [G5228] the [G3588] lion [G3023] the [G3588] dead [G3498].
5: For [G3754] the [G3588] living [G2198] will know [G1097] that [G3754] they will die ; but [G2532] the [G3588] dead [G3498] not [G3756] are knowing [G1097] anything [G3762]; and [G2532] there not [G3756] is to them [G1473] any longer [G2089] a wage [G3408], for [G3754] was forgotten [G1950] the [G3588]ir remembrance [G3420][G1473].
6: And [G2532] indeed [G1065] their love [G1473], and [G2532] indeed [G1065] their hatred [G1473], and [G2532] indeed [G1065] their zeal [G2205][G1473] already [G2235] perished ; and [G2532] portion [G3310] there is no [G3756] to them [G1473] any longer [G2089] into [G1519] the [G3588] age (term) `, in [G1722] all [things] [G3956] the [G3588] being done [G4160] under [G5259] the [G3588] sun [G2246].
7: Come [G1204], eat [G2068] with [G1722] gladness [G2167] of the [G3588] your bread [G1473], and [G2532] drink [G4095] with [G1722] heart [G2588] a good your wine [G3631][G1473]! for [G3754] already [G2235] God thought well [G2106] the [G3588][G2316] of the [G3588] your actions [G4161][G1473]
8: In [G1722] every [G3956] time [G2540] let be your garments [G2440][G1473] white [G3022], and [G2532] oil [G1637] upon [G1909] your head [G2776][G1473] let not [G3361] be lacking [G5302]!
9: And [G2532] look [at] [G1492] life [G2222] with [G3326] wife [G1135] which [G3739] you loved all [G3956] the [G3588] days [G2250] of life [G2222] of your folly [G3153][G1473]! the [G3588] [ones] being given [G1325] to you [G1473] under [G5259] the [G3588] sun [G2246], all [G3956] the [G3588] days [G2250] of life [G2222] of your folly [G3153][G1473]. For [G3754] it [G1473] is your portion [G3310][G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] your life [G2222][G1473], and [G2532] in [G1722] the [G3588] your effort [G3449][G1473] wherein [G3739] you [G1473] made an effort under [G5259] the [G3588] sun [G2246].
10: All [G3956] as much [G3745] as should find [G2147] the [G3588] your hand [G5495][G1473] the [G3588] to do [G4160], as [G5613] is the [G3588] power [G1411] in your [G1473] you do [G4160]; for [G3754] there is no [G3756] action [G4161], nor [G2532] device [G3053], nor [G2532] knowledge [G1108], nor [G2532] wisdom [G4678] in [G1722] Hades , of where [G3699] you should [G1473] go [G4198] there [G1563].
11: I turned [G1994], and [G2532] I looked [at] [G1492] under [G5259] the [G3588] sun [G2246], that [G3754] not [G3756] to the [G3588] light [of foot [is] the [G3588] race [G1408]; and [G2532] not [G3756] to the [G3588] mighty ones [G1415] the [G3588] in battle [G4171]; and [G2532] indeed [G1065] not [G3756] to the [G3588] wise [G4680] [is] the [G3588] bread ; and [G2532] indeed [G1065] not [G3756] to the [G3588] discerning ones [G4908] [is] the [G3588] riches [G4149]; and [G2532] indeed [G1065] not [G3756] to the [G3588] [ones] knowing [G1097] favor [G5484]; for [G3754] a season [G2540] and [G2532] a meeting will meet [G4876] with them all [G1473].
12: And [G2532] indeed [G1065] does not know [G3756][G1097] the [G3588] man the [G3588] his season [G2540][G1473]. As [G5613] the [G3588] fishes [G2486] the [G3588] being hunted [G2340] with [G1722] casting-net a hurtful [G2556], and [G2532] as [G5613] birds [G3732] the [G3588] being hunted [G2340] with [G1722] a snare [G3803] -- as [G5613] them [G1473] will be ensnared [G3802] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of the [G3588] man in [G1519] season [G2540] an evil [G4190], whenever [G3752] it should fall [G1968] upon [G1909] them [G1473] suddenly .
13: And [G2532] indeed [G1065] this [G3778] I beheld [G1492] -- wisdom [G4678] under [G5259] the [G3588] sun [G2246], and [G2532] it is great [G3173] to [G4314] me [G1473].
14: city [G4172] [If there were] a small [G3397], and [G2532] men in [G1722] it [G1473] few [G3641]; and [G2532] there should come [G2064] against [G1909] it [G1473] king a great [G3173], and [G2532] he will encircle [G2944] it [G1473], and [G2532] will build [G3618] against [G1909] it [G1473] siege mounds [G5482] great [G3173];
15: and [G2532] there should be found [G2147] in [G1722] it [G1473] man a needy [G3993] wise [G4680]; and [G2532] will deliver [G1295] he himself [G1473] the [G3588] city [G4172] in [G1722] the [G3588] his wisdom [G4678][G1473]; but [G2532] man remembered not [G3756][G3403] with [G4862] the [G3588] man the [G3588] needy [G3993] that [G1565].
16: And [G2532] I said [G2036][G1473], [is] good Wisdom [G4678] over [G5228] power [G1411]. But [G2532] wisdom [G4678] of the [G3588] needy [man [G3993] is being treated with contempt [G1847], and [G2532] his words [G3056][G1473] not [G3756] are being listened to .
17: Words [G3056] of wise [G4680] being [G1722] at rest are heard above [G5228] a cry [G2906] of ones being in authority [G1850] in [G1722] follies .
18: [is] good Wisdom [G4678] over [G5228] weapons [G4632] of war [G4171]; but [G2532] sinning one [G1520] will destroy goodness much [G4183].
