Daniel Chapter 5 - | Early Church Bible

1: Belshazzar the [G3588] king made [G4160] supper [G1173] a great [G3173] for the [G3588] his great [G3175][G1473] men -- a thousand [G5507]; and [G2532] before [G2713] the [G3588] thousand [G5507] [was] the [G3588] wine [G3631].
2: And [G2532] drinking [G4095] Belshazzar spoke [G2036] in [G1722] the [G3588] tasting of the [G3588] wine [G3631] the [G3588] to bring [G5342] the [G3588] items [G4632], the [G3588] [ones] of gold [G5552] and [G2532] the [G3588] [ones] of silver which [G3739] brought forth [G1627] Nebuchadnezzar the [G3588] his father [G3962][G1473] from out of [G1537] the [G3588] temple [G3485] the [G3588] in [G1722] Jerusalem. And [G2532] they drank [G4095] with [G1722] them [G1473] -- the [G3588] king , and [G2532] the [G3588] his great men [G3175][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] his concubines [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] his mistresses [G1473].
3: And [G2532] they brought [G5342] the [G3588] items [G4632] of the [G3588] gold [G5552], and [G2532] the [G3588] [ones] of silver , which [G3739] were brought forth [G1627] from out of [G1537] the [G3588] temple [G3485] of the [G3588] God '[G2316] the [G3588] in [G1722] Jerusalem, and [G2532] they drank [G4095] with [G1722] them [G1473] -- the [G3588] king , and [G2532] the [G3588] his great men [G3175][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] his concubines [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] his mistresses [G1473].
4: They drank [G4095] wine [G3631], and [G2532] they praised the [G3588] gods '[G2316] of the [G3588] gold [G5552], and [G2532] of silver , and [G2532] of brass [G5470], and [G2532] of iron [G4603], and [G2532] of wood [G3585], and [G2532] of stones [G3035].
5: In [G1722] the same [G3778] the [G3588] hour [G5610] came forth [G1831] fingers [G1147] of hand [G5495] of a man , and [G2532] they wrote [G1125] over against [G2713] the [G3588] lamp [G2985] upon [G1909] the [G3588] whitewashed [portion of the [G3588] wall [G5109] of the [G3588] house [G3624] of the [G3588] king . And [G2532] the [G3588] king viewed [G2334] the [G3588] knuckles of the [G3588] hand [G5495] the [G3588] writing [G1125].
6: Then [G5119] of the [G3588] king the [G3588] appearance [G3444] changed , and [G2532] the [G3588] his thoughts [G1261][G1473] disturbed him [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] bonding together [G4886] of the [G3588] his loin [G3751][G1473] parted [G1262], and [G2532] the [G3588] his knees [G1119][G1473] struck together .
7: And [G2532] yelled the [G3588] king in [G1722] strength [G2479] the [G3588] to bring [G1521] the [G3588] magi [G3097], and [G2532] the [G3588] Chaldeans, and [G2532] the [G3588] astrologers . And [G2532] he said [G2036] to the [G3588] wise [men [G4680] of Babylon, Who ever [G1437] should read the [G3588] this writing [G1124][G3778], and [G2532] the [G3588] its interpretation [G1473] should make known [G1107] to me [G1473], purple [G4209] will be put on [him [G1746], and [G2532] the [G3588] necklace of the [G3588] gold [G5552] upon [G1909] the [G3588] his neck [G5137][G1473], and [G2532] as third [G5154] in [G1722] the [G3588] my government '[G1473] he will rule .
8: And [G2532] entering [G1531] [were] all [G3956] the [G3588] wise [men [G4680] of the [G3588] king , and [G2532] they were not [G3756] able [G1410] the [G3588] writing [G1124] to read , nor [G3761] the [G3588] interpretation to make known [G1107] to the [G3588] king .
9: And [G2532] the [G3588] king Belshazzar was disturbed [G5015], and [G2532] the [G3588] his appearance [G3444][G1473] changed in [G1722] him [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] his great men [G3175][G1473] were disturbed .
10: And [G2532] the [G3588] queen entered [G1525] into [G1519] the [G3588] house [G3624] of the [G3588] banquet [G4224]. And [G2532] responded the [G3588] queen and [G2532] said [G2036], O king , into [G1519] the [G3588] age (term) ` live [G2198]! not [G3361] Let disturb [G5015] you [G1473] the [G3588] your thoughts [G1261][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] appearance [G3444] your [G1473] not [G3361] let] be changed !
11: There is a man in [G1722] the [G3588] your government ' in [G1722] which [G3739] wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151] God '[G2316] of the [G3588] pure ' is . And [G2532] in [G1722] the [G3588] days [G2250] of the [G3588] father [G3962] of you [G1473], vigilance , and [G2532] understanding [G4907], and [G2532] wisdom [G4678] as [G5613] wisdom [G4678] of God '[G2316], was found [G2147] in [G1722] him [G1473]; and [G2532] the [G3588] king Nebuchadnezzar the [G3588] father [G3962] of you [G1473] ruler of enchanters of magi [G3097] of Chaldeans [and] of astrologers placed [G2525] him [G1473].
12: For [G3754] wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151] extra [G4053] [is] in [G1722] him [G1473], and [G2532] intelligence [G5428], and [G2532] understanding [G4907] of interpreting [G4793] dreams [G1798], and [G2532] reporting things held [G2902], and [G2532] untying [G3089] things bonded together [G4886] -- [it is] Daniel, and [G2532] the [G3588] king put [G2007] to him [G1473] name [G3686] -- Belteshazzar. Now [G3568] then [G3767] let [him] be called [G2564]! and [G2532] the [G3588] its interpretation [G1473] he will announce to you [G1473].
13: Then [G5119] Daniel was brought in [G1521] before [G1799] the [G3588] king . And [G2532] said [G2036] the [G3588] king the [G3588] to Daniel, Are you [G1473] Daniel, the [G3588] [one] from the [G3588] sons [G5207] of the [G3588] captivity of the [G3588] Judea, of which [G3739] conveyed ' the [G3588] king the [G3588] father [G3962] of me [G1473]?
14: I heard concerning [G4012] you [G1473], that [G3754] wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151] of God '[G2316] [is] in [G1722] you [G1473], and [G2532] vigilance , and [G2532] understanding [G4907], and [G2532] wisdom [G4678] extra [G4053] is found [G2147] in [G1722] you [G1473].
15: And [G2532] now [G3568] there entered [G1525] before [G1799] me [G1473] the [G3588] wise [men [G4680], magi [G3097], [and] astrologers , that [G2443] the [G3588] this writing [G1124][G3778] they should read , and [G2532] the [G3588] interpretation they should make known [G1107] to me [G1473]. But [G2532] they were not [G3756] able [G1410] to announce to me [G1473].
16: And [G2532] I [G1473] heard concerning [G4012] you [G1473], that [G3754] you are able [G1410] judgments [G2917] to interpret [G4793]. Now [G3568] then [G3767], if [G1437] you should be able [G1410] the [G3588] this writing [G1124][G3778] to read , and [G2532] the [G3588] its interpretation [G1473] to make known [G1107] to me [G1473], purple [G4209] will be put on [you [G1746], and [G2532] the [G3588] necklace of the [G3588] gold [G5552] will be upon [G1909] the [G3588] your neck [G5137], and [G2532] as third [G5154] in [G1722] the [G3588] my government '[G1473] you will rule .
17: Then [G5119] answered Daniel, and [G2532] he said [G2036] before [G1799] the [G3588] king , the [G3588] your gifts [G1390][G1473] yours [G1473] Let be , and [G2532] the [G3588] present [G1431] of the [G3588] your house [G3614][G1473] to another [G2087] give [G1325]! But I [G1473][G1161] the [G3588] writing [G1124] will read to the [G3588] king , and [G2532] the [G3588] interpretation of it [G1473] I will make known [G1107] to you [G1473].
18: O king , the [G3588] God '[G2316] the [G3588] highest [G5310] the [G3588] government ' and [G2532] the [G3588] greatness [G3172] and [G2532] the [G3588] honor [G5092] 10> and [G2532] 11> the [G3588] 12> glory [G1391] gave [G1325] to Nebuchadnezzar the [G3588] father [G3962] of you [G1473].
19: And [G2532] because off the [G3588] greatness [G3172] of which [G3739] he gave [G1325] to him [G1473], all [G3956] the [G3588] peoples [G2992], tribes [G5443], languages [G1100] were trembling [G5141] and [G2532] fearing [G5399] from before [G4383] him [G1473]. Whom [G3739] he willed [G1014] he [G1473] did away with , and [G2532] whom [G3739] he willed [G1014] he [G1473] beat [G5180], and [G2532] whom [G3739] he willed [G1014] he [G1473] raised up high [G5312], and [G2532] whom [G3739] he willed [G1014] he [G1473] humbled [G5013].
20: And [G2532] when [G3753] was raised up high [G5312] the [G3588] his heart [G2588][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] his wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151][G1473] was fortified [G2901] the [G3588] to be prideful , he was brought down [G2702] from the [G3588] throne [G2362] of the [G3588] government ', and [G2532] the [G3588] honor [G5092] was removed from him [G1473].
21: And [G2532] from the [G3588] men he was driven out [G1559], and [G2532] the [G3588] his heart [G2588][G1473] with [G3326] the [G3588] wild beasts [G2342] was given [to be [G1325], and [G2532] with [G3326] the [G3588] wild donkeys among which [G3739] he dwelt [G2733][G1473]. And [G2532] grass [G5528] as [G5613] an ox [G1016] was fed [G5595] him [G1473], and [G2532] off the [G3588] dew of the [G3588] raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772] the [G3588] his body [G4983][G1473] was dipped , until [G2193] of which [time] [G3739] he knew [G1097] that [G3754] dominated [G2961] the [G3588] God '[G2316] highest [G5310] the [G3588] government ' of the [G3588] men , and [G2532] to whomever [G1437] it seems [good [G1380] he gives [G1325] it [G1473].
22: And [G2532] you [G1473], the [G3588] son [G5207] of him [G1473], O Belshazzar, humbled not [G3756][G5013] the [G3588] your heart [G2588][G1473] in front [G2714] of the [G3588] God '[G2316], of which [G3739] all [G3956] these [things] [G3778] you knew [G1097].
23: And [G2532] against [G1909] the [G3588] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of the [G3588] raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772] you were haughty [G5312], and [G2532] the [G3588] items [G4632] of the [G3588] his house [G3624][G1473] they brought [G5342] before [G1799] you [G1473]; even [G2532] you [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] your great men [G3175][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] your concubines [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] your mistresses [G1473] wine [G3631] drank [G4095] in [G1722] them [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] gods '[G2316] of the [G3588] gold [G5552], and [G2532] of silver , and [G2532] of brass [G5470], and [G2532] of iron [G4603], and [G2532] of wood [G3585], and [G2532] of stones [G3035], the [G3588] [ones] [that] see not [G3756], and [G2532] hear not [G3756], and [G2532] know not [G3756][G1097], you praised ; and [G2532] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of whom [G3739] the [G3588] your breath [G4157][G1473] [is] in [G1722] his hand [G5495], and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] your ways [G3598][G1473] -- him [G1473] you glorified not [G3756][G1392].
24: On account of [G1223] this [G3778], from [G1537] his presence [G4383][G1473] was sent knuckle of a hand [G5495], and [G2532] the [G3588] this writing [G1124][G3778] he arranged .
25: And [G2532] this [G3778] [is] the [G3588] writing [G1124] being arranged -- Mene , Tekel , Peres [G5329].
26: This [is [G3778] the [G3588] interpretation of the [G3588] saying [G4487], Mene -- God measured [G3354] the [G3588][G2316] the [G3588] your government '[G1473] and [G2532] finished [G4137] it [G1473].
27: Tekel -- it was set [G2476] in [G1722] yoke [balance scale [G2218] and [G2532] found [G2147] lacking [G5302].
28: Peres [G5329] -- was divided [G1244] the [G3588] your government ' and [G2532] was given [G1325] to Medes and [G2532] Persians.
29: And [G2532] Belshazzar spoke [G2036], and [G2532] they put on [G1746] the [G3588] Daniel purple [G4209], and [G2532] the [G3588] necklace the [G3588] gold [G5552] they put [G4060] around [G4012] the [G3588] his neck [G5137][G1473], and [G2532] proclaimed [G2784] concerning [G4012] him [G1473] [for] him to be [G1473] ruler third [G5154] in [G1722] the [G3588] government '.
30: In [G1722] same [G1473] the [G3588] night [G3571] was done away with Belshazzar the [G3588] king of the [G3588] Chaldeans].
31: And [G2532] Darius the [G3588] Mede took [G3880] the [G3588] government ', being years [old [G2094] sixty [G1835] two [G1417].
