2 Samuel Chapter 5 - | Early Church Bible

1: And [G2532] came [G3854] all [G3956] the [G3588] tribes [G5443] of Israel] to [G4314] David in [G1519] Hebron. And [G2532] they say [G3004] to him [G1473], look [G2400], we [are [G1473] of your bones [G3747][G1473] and [G2532] of your flesh [G4561][G1473].
2: And [G2532] [before] yesterday [G5504] and [G2532] third [day before [G5154], Saul [was king over [G1909] us [G1473], you [G1473] were the [G3588] [one] leading out [G1806] and [G2532] bringing in [G1521] the [G3588] Israel. And [G2532] said [G2036] the [G3588] Boss '[G2962] to [G4314] you [G1473], You [G1473] tend [G4165] the [G3588] people [G2992] of me [G1473] the [G3588] Israel! and [G2532] you [G1473] will be for [G1519] leader [G2233] over [G1909] the [G3588] people [G2992] of me [G1473] Israel.
3: And [G2532] come [G2064] all [G3956] the [G3588] elders [G4245] of Israel] to [G4314] the [G3588] king in [G1519] Hebron. And [G2532] ordained [G1303] with them [G1473] the [G3588] king David] a covenant [G1242] in [G1722] Hebron, in the presence of [G1799] Boss '[G2962]. And [G2532] they anoint [G5548] the [G3588] David for [G1519] king over [G1909] all [G3956] Israel.
4: [was] a son [G5207] thirty [G5144] years [G2094] David] in [G1722] the [G3588] his reigning [G1473], and [G2532] forty [G5062] years [G2094] he reigned .
5: Seven [G2033] years [G2094] and [G2532] months [G3376] six [G1803] he reigned in [G1722] Hebron over [G1909] Judah. And [G2532] thirty [G5144] three [G5140] years [G2094] he reigned over [G1909] all [G3956] Israel and [G2532] Judah in [G1722] Jerusalem.
6: And [G2532] went forth the [G3588] king , and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] his men [G1473] unto [G1519] Jerusalem, to [G4314] the [G3588] Jebusite the [G3588] dwelling [G2730] in the [G3588] land '[G1093]. And [G2532] it was said [G2046] the [G3588] to David, You will not [G3756] enter [G1525] here [G5602]. For [G3754] opposed the [G3588] blind [G5185] and [G2532] the [G3588] lame [G5560], saying [G3004], will not [G3756] enter [G1525] David] here [G5602].
7: And [G2532] David overtook [G2638] the [G3588] citadel [G4042] of Zion, this [G3778] is the [G3588] city [G4172] of the [G3588] David.
8: And [G2532] David said [G2036] in [G1722] the [G3588] that day [G2250][G1565], Every one [G3956] striking [G5180] a Jebusite, let him touch by [G1722] dagger both [G2532] the [G3588] lame [G5560], and [G2532] the [G3588] blind [G5185], and [G2532] the [G3588] [ones] detesting [G3404] the [G3588] soul [G5590] of David! On account of [G1223] this [G3778] they will say [G2046], Blind [G5185] and [G2532] lame [G5560] will not [G3756] enter [G1525] into [G1519] house [G3624] of Boss '[G2962].
9: And [G2532] David sat down [G2523] in [G1722] the [G3588] citadel [G4042], and [G2532] this was called [G2564][G3778] the [G3588] city [G4172] of David. And [G2532] David built [G3618][G1473] the [G3588] city [G4172] round about [G2945] from the [G3588] Akra , and [G2532] the [G3588] his house [G3624][G1473].
10: And [G2532] David went [along [G4198], going [G4198] and [G2532] being magnified [G3170], and [G2532] Boss '[G2962] almighty [G3841] [was] with [G3326] him [G1473].
11: And [G2532] sent Hiram king of Tyre] word-conveyers (messengers) ' to [G4314] David, and [G2532] wood [G3586] of cedars , and [G2532] fabricators [G5045] of woods [G3586], and [G2532] fabricators [G5045] of stones [G3037], and [G2532] they built [G3618] a house [G3624] for the [G3588] David.
12: And [G2532] David knew [G1097] that [G3754] prepared [G2090] him [G1473] Boss '[G2962] for [G1519] king over [G1909] Israel, and [G2532] that [G3754] was lifted up [G1869] the [G3588] his government '[G1473] on account of [G1223] the [G3588] his people [G2992][G1473] Israel.
13: And [G2532] David took [G2983] again [G2089] wives [G1135] and [G2532] concubines from [G1537] Jerusalem, after [G3326] the [G3588] his coming [G2064][G1473] from [G1537] Hebron. And [G2532] were born [G1096] the [G3588] to David still [more [G2089] sons [G5207] and [G2532] daughters [G2364].
14: And [G2532] these [are [G3778] the [G3588] names [G3686] of the [G3588] [ones] being born [G1080] of them [G1473] in [G1722] Jerusalem -- Shammuah, and [G2532] Shobab, and [G2532] Nathan, and [G2532] Solomon,
15: and [G2532] Ibhar, and [G2532] Elishua, and [G2532] Napheg, and [G2532] Japhia,
16: and [G2532] Elishama, and [G2532] Eliada, and [G2532] Eliphalet, and [G2532] Elishua.
17: And [G2532] heard the [G3588] Philistines that [G3754] David was anointed [G5548] king over [G1909] Israel. And [G2532] went up all [G3956] the [G3588] Philistines to seek [G2212] the [G3588] David. And [G2532] David heard , and [G2532] went down [G2597] unto [G1519] the [G3588] citadel [G4042].
18: And [G2532] the [G3588] Philistines came [G3854] and [G2532] met in battle in [G1519] the [G3588] valley of the [G3588] Titans .
19: And [G2532] David asked [G2065] of Boss '[G2962], saying [G3004], will [G1487] I go up against [G4314] the [G3588] Philistines ? and [G2532] will you deliver [G3860] them [G1473] into [G1519] the [G3588] my hands [G5495][G1473]? And [G2532] BOSS said [G2036][G2962] to [G4314] David, go up ! for [G3754] in delivering [G3860] I will deliver [G3860] the [G3588] Philistines into [G1519] the [G3588] your hands [G5495][G1473].
20: And [G2532] David came [G2064] from [G1537] the [G3588] upper [G1883] breaches , and [G2532] he smote [G2875] them [G1473] there [G1563]. And [G2532] David said [G2036], BOSS cut through [G2962] the [G3588] enemies [G2190] of me [G1473] before [G1799] me [G1473], as [G5613] he cuts through waters [G5204]. On account of [G1223] this [G3778] is called [G2564] the [G3588] name [G3686] of the [G3588] that place [G5117][G1565] Upper [G1883] Breaches .
21: And [G2532] they left behind there [G1563] the [G3588]ir gods '[G2316][G1473], and [G2532] took [G2983] them [G1473] David] and [G2532] the [G3588] men the [G3588] with [G3326] him [G1473].
22: And [G2532] proceeded [G4369] yet again [G2089] Philistines the [G3588] to go up , and [G2532] they met in battle in [G1722] the [G3588] valley of the [G3588] Titans.
23: And [G2532] David asked [G1905] through [G1223] Boss '[G2962]. And [G2532] BOSS said [G2036][G2962], Do not [G3756] go up to [G1519] meet [G4877] them [G1473]! turn from them [G1473]! and [G2532] you will be at hand [G3918] for them [G1473] neighboring [G4139] the [G3588] Place of Weeping .
24: And [G2532] it will be in [G1722] the [G3588] your hearing [G1473] the [G3588] sound [G5456] of the [G3588] rumbling from out off the [G3588] Grove of the [G3588] Weeping , then [G5119] you will go down [G2597] to [G4314] them [G1473]; for [G3754] then [G5119] BOSS will go forth [G1831][G2962] in front of [G1715] you [G1473] to strike [G5180] in [G1722] the [G3588] battle [G4171] of the [G3588] Philistines .
25: And [G2532] David did [G4160] thus [G3778] as [G2531] gave charge [G1781] to him [G1473] Boss '[G2962]. And [G2532] he struck [G3960] the [G3588] Philistines from Gibeon unto [G2193] of Gezer.
