Jeremiah Chapter 16 - | Early Church Bible

1: And [G2532] came [G1096] word [G4487] of Boss '[G2962] to [G4314] me [G1473] saying [G3004],
2: You should not take [G3361][G2983] a wife [G1135], and [G2532] there will not be engendered [G3756][G1080] to you [G1473] a son [G5207] nor [G3761] daughter [G2364] in [G1722] the [G3588] this place [G5117][G3778].
3: For [G3754] thus [G3592] says [G3004] Boss '[G2962], Concerning [G4012] the [G3588] sons [G5207] and [G2532] the [G3588] daughters [G2364] of the [G3588] [ones] being engendered [G1080] in [G1722] the [G3588] this place [G5117][G3778], and [G2532] concerning [G4012] the [G3588]ir mothers [G3384][G1473] the [G3588] giving them birth [G5088][G1473], and [G2532] concerning [G4012] the [G3588]ir fathers [G3962][G1473] the [G3588] engendering [G1080] them [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] this land '[G1093][G3778];
4: by [G1722] death [G2288] a diseased they will die ; they will not [G3756] be lamented [G2875], and [G2532] they will not [G3756] be entombed [G2290]; for [G1519] an example upon [G1909] face [G4383] of the [G3588] land '[G1093] they will be . By [G1722] sword [G3162] they will fall [G4098], and [G2532] in [G1722] hunger [G3042] they will be finished off entirely [G4931]. And [G2532] will be the [G3588]ir corpses [G4430][G1473] for [G1519] food [G1035] to the [G3588] wild beasts [G2342] of the [G3588] land '[G1093], and [G2532] to the [G3588] winged creatures [G4071] of the [G3588] raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772].
5: Thus [G3592] says [G3004] Boss '[G2962], You should not [G3361] enter [G1525] into [G1519] their revelry [G1473], and [G2532] you should not [G3361] go in [G4198] the [G3588] to lament [G2875], and [G2532] you should not [G3361] mourn [G3996] them [G1473]. For [G3754] I have removed the [G3588] my peace [G1515][G1473] from the [G3588] this people [G2992][G3778], says [G5346] Boss '[G2962], [even] compassion [G1656] and [G2532] charity [G1654].
6: And [G2532] will die great [G3173] and [G2532] small [G3397] in [G1722] the [G3588] this land '[G1093][G3778]. They will not be buried [G3756][G2290], and [G2532] they will not be lamented [G3756][G2354], they will not beat their chest for [G3756][G2875] them [G1473], nor [G3761] cuts will they make [G4160], and [G2532] they will not be shaven [G3756][G3587];
7: and [G2532] in no way should be broken [G2806] bread in [G1722] their mourning [G3997][G1473] for [G1519] consolation [G3874] over [G1909] one having died [G2348]; they will not give a drink [G3756][G4222] for them [G1473] of a cup [G4221] for [G1519] consolation [G3874] over [G1909] his father [G3962][G1473] or [G2228] his mother [G3384][G1473].
8: into [G1519] a residence [G3614] with a banquet [G4224] will not [G3756] enter [G1525] You [G1473] to sit down [G4776] with [G3326] them [G1473] the [G3588] to eat [G2068] and [G2532] to drink [G4095].
9: For [G1360] thus [G3592] says [G3004] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of Israel, look [G2400], I [G1473] depose [G2647] from out of [G1537] the [G3588] this place [G5117][G3778] before [G1799] the [G3588] eyes [G3788] of you [G1473], and [G2532] in [G1722] the [G3588] your days [G2250][G1473] a voice [G5456] of joy [G5479], and [G2532] a voice [G5456] of gladness [G2167], voice [G5456] of groom [G3566], and [G2532] voice [G5456] of bride [G3565].
10: And [G2532] it will be whenever [G3752] you should announce [to the [G3588] this people [G2992][G3778] all the [G3588]se matters [G4487][G3778], then [G2532] they will say [G2036] to [G4314] you [G1473], Why did [G1302] BOSS speak [G2980][G2962] against [G1909] us [G1473] all [G3956] the [G3588]se evils [G2556][G3778]? What [is [G5100] the [G3588] our injustice [G1473], and [G2532] what [G5100] [is the [G3588] our sin [G1473] which [G3739] we sinned before [G1726] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] our God '[G2316][G1473]?
11: And [G2532] you will say [G2046] to [G4314] them [G1473], Because abandoned [G1459] me [G1473] the [G3588] your fathers [G3962][G1473], says [G3004] Boss '[G2962]; and [G2532] they set out after [G3694] strange gods '[G2316], and [G2532] they served [G1398] to them [G1473], and [G2532] did obeisance [G4352] to them [G1473]; and [G2532] they abandoned me [G1473][G1459], and [G2532] the [G3588] my law [G3551][G1473] they did not [G3756] keep [G5442].
12: And [G2532] you [G1473] were wicked above [G5228] the [G3588] your fathers [G3962][G1473]. And [G2532] look [G2400], you [G1473] go [G4198] each [G1538] after [G3694] the [things] [G3588] pleasing the [G3588] your heart [G2588][G1473] -- the [G3588] evils [G4190], the [G3588] to not [G3361] obey [G5219] me [G1473].
13: And [G2532] I will throw you away [G1473] from the [G3588] this land '[G1093][G3778], into [G1519] a land '[G1093] which [G3739] you knew not [G3756][G1492] -- you [G1473] and [G2532] the [G3588] your fathers [G3962][G1473]. And [G2532] you will serve [G1398] there [G1563] strange gods '[G2316] day [G2250] and [G2532] night [G3571], the ones [that [G3739] will not grant [G3756][G1325] compassion to you [G1473][G1656].
14: On account of [G1223] this [G3778], look [G2400], days [G2250] come [G2064], says [G3004] Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] not [G3756] they will say [G2046] still [G2089], As BOSS lives [G2198][G2962], the [G3588] [one] leading up the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel from out of [G1537] land '[G1093] of Egypt.
15: But [they will say , As BOSS lives [G2198][G2962], who [G3739] led the [G3588] house [G3624] of Israel from land '[G1093] of north [G1005], and [G2532] from all [G3956] the [G3588] places [G5561] where [G3739] they were pushed out [G1856] there [G1563]. And [G2532] I will restore them [G1473] unto [G1519] the [G3588]ir land '[G1093][G1473] which [G3739] I gave [G1325] [to the [G3588]ir fathers [G3962][G1473].
16: look [G2400], I [G1473] send fishermen many [G4183], says [G3004] Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] they will fish them [G1473]. And [G2532] after [G3326] these [G3778] I will send many [G4183] hunters , and [G2532] they will hunt [G2340] them [G1473] upon [G1883] every [G3956] raised-place (mountain) '[G3735], and [G2532] upon [G1883] every [G3956] hill [G1015], and [G2532] from out of [G1537] the [G3588] holes [G5168] of the [G3588] rocks [G4073].
17: For [G3754] the [G3588] my eyes [G3788][G1473] [are] upon [G1909] all [G3956] the [G3588]ir ways [G3598][G1473], and [G2532] were not hid [G3756][G2928] the [G3588]ir offences [G1473] before the [G3588] my eyes [G3788][G1473].
18: And [G2532] I will recompense double [G1362] the [G3588]ir iniquities [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588]ir sins [G1473] upon [G1909] which [G3739] they profaned the [G3588] my land '[G1093][G1473] by [G1722] the [G3588] decaying flesh of the [G3588]ir abominations [G1473], and [G2532] by [G1722] the [G3588]ir lawless deeds [G1473] in [G1722] which [G3739] they filled [G4130] the [G3588] my inheritance [G2817][G1473].
19: O Boss '[G2962] my strength [G2479][G1473] and [G2532] my help [G1473] and [G2532] my refuge [G1473] in [G1722] a day [G2250] of evils [G2556]. To [G4314] you [G1473] tradition-peoples (ethnics) '[G1484] will come [G2240] from ends [G2078] of the [G3588] land '[G1093]. And [G2532] they will say [G2046], O how [G5613] false [G5571] acquired [G2932] the [G3588] our fathers [G3962][G1473] the idols [G1497], and [G2532] there is no [G3756] in [G1722] them [G1473] benefit .
20: will [G1487] make [G4160] for himself [G1438] a man gods '[G2316], and [G2532] these [G3778] not [G3756] are gods '[G2316]?
21: On account of [G1223] this [G3778], look [G2400], I [G1473] will make manifest [G1213] to them [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] this time [G2540][G3778] the [G3588] my hand [G5495][G1473]; and [G2532] I will make known [G1107] to them [G1473] the [G3588] my power [G1411][G1473]; and [G2532] they will know [G1097] that [G3754] name [G3686] of me [G1473] [is the] Boss '[G2962].
