1: My sons [G5040][G1473], these [things] [G3778] I write [G1125] to you [G1473], that [G2443] you should not [G3361] sin . And [G2532] if [G1437] any [G5100] should sin , a comforter [G3875] we have [G2192] with [G4314] the [G3588] father [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) Anointed [G5547], righteous [G1342].
2: And [G2532] he [G1473] is atonement [G2434] for [G4012] the [G3588] sins of us [G1473]; not [G3756] for [G4012] the [G3588] ours [G2251] but [G1161] only [G3440], but also [G2532] for [G4012] the whole [G3650] the [G3588] arrangement '[G2889].
3: And [G2532] by [G1722] this [G3778] we know [G1097] that [G3754] we have known [G1097] him [G1437] the [G3588] commandments [G1785] of of him '[G1473] we keep [G5083].
4: the [one] [G3588] saying [G3004], I know [G1097] him [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] commandments [G1785] of him [G1473] [is] not keeping [G3361][G5083], is a liar [G5583], and [G2532] in [G1722] this one [G3778] the [G3588] truth not [G3756] is .
5: But who [G3739][G1161] ever should give heed [G5083] of of him '[G1473] the [G3588] word [G3056], truly in [G1722] this one [G3778] the [G3588] love of the [G3588] God '[G2316] has been perfected [G5048]. By [G1722] this [G3778] we know [G1097] that [G3754] in [G1722] him [G1473] we are .
6: the [one] [G3588] saying [G3004] in [G1722] him [G1473] [to be] abiding [G3306], ought [G3784] as [G2531] that one [G1565] walked [G4043], also [G2532] himself [G1473] so [G3779] to walk [G4043].
7: Brothers , [do] not [G3756] commandment [G1785] a new [G2537] I write [G1125] to you [G1473], but commandment [G1785] an old [G3820], which [G3739] you had [G2192] from beginning . the [G3588] commandment [G1785] the [G3588] old [G3820] is the [G3588] word [G3056] which [G3739] you heard from beginning .
8: Again [G3825], commandment [G1785] a new [G2537] I write [G1125] to you [G1473], which [G3739] is true in [G1722] him [G1473], and [G2532] in [G1722] you [G1473], because [G3754] the [G3588] darkness [G4653] passes away [G3855], and [G2532] the [G3588] light [G5457] the [G3588] true already [G2235] shines forth [G5316].
9: the [one] [G3588] saying [G3004] in [G1722] the [G3588] light [G5457] to be , and [G2532] the [G3588] brother of him [G1473] detests [G3404], in [G1722] the [G3588] darkness [G4653] is until [G2193] now .
10: the [one] [G3588] loving the [G3588] brother of him [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] light [G5457] abides [G3306], and [G2532] cause of offence [G4625] in [G1722] him [G1473] there is no [G3756].
11: But the [G3588] [one] [G1161] detesting [G3404] the [G3588] brother of him [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] darkness [G4653] is , and [G2532] in [G1722] the [G3588] darkness [G4653] walks [G4043], and [G2532] does not [G3756] know [G1492] where [G4226] he goes [G5217], because [G3754] the [G3588] darkness [G4653] blinded [G5186] the [G3588] his eyes [G3788][G1473].
12: I write [G1125] to you [G1473], sons [G5040], for [G3754] have been forgiven to you [G1473] the [G3588] sins through [G1223] the [G3588] name [G3686] of him [G1473].
13: I write [G1125] to you [G1473], fathers [G3962], because [G3754] you have known [G1097] the [G3588] [one] from beginning . I wrote [G1125] to you [G1473], young men [G3495], because [G3754] you are strong [G2478], and [G2532] the [G3588] word [G3056] of the [G3588] God '[G2316] in [G1722] you [G1473] abides [G3306], and [G2532] you have overcome [G3528] the [G3588] wicked [one [G4190].
15: Do not [G3361] love the [G3588] arrangement '[G2889], nor [G3366] the [things] [G3588] in [G1722] the [G3588] arrangement '[G2889]! If [G1437] anyone [G5100] should love the [G3588] arrangement '[G2889], not [G3756] is the [G3588] love of the [G3588] father [G3962] in [G1722] him [G1473];
16: for [G3754] every [G3956] [thing] the [G3588] in [G1722] the [G3588] world [G3588] desire [G1939] of the [G3588] flesh [G4561], and [G2532] the [G3588] desire [G1939] of the [G3588] eyes [G3788], and [G2532] the [G3588] ostentatiousness of the [G3588] existence , not [G3756] is of [G1537] the [G3588] father [G3962], but of [G1537] the [G3588] arrangement '[G2889] is .
17: And [G2532] the [G3588] arrangement '[G2889] passes away [G3855], and [G2532] the [G3588] desire [G1939] of it [G1473]; but the [G3588] [one] [G1161] doing [G4160] the [G3588] will [G2307] of the [G3588] God '[G2316] abides [G3306] into [G1519] the [G3588] age (term) `.
18: Children [G3813], last [G2078] hour [G5610] it is ; and [G2532] as [G2531] you heard that [G3754] the Anti-Anointed One comes [G2064], and [G2532] now [G3568] anti-Anointed Ones many [G4183] exist [G1096], whereupon [G3606] we know [G1097] that [G3754] last [G2078] hour [G5610] it is .
19: From [G1537] us [G1473] they went forth [G1831], but they were not [G3756] of [G1537] us [G1473]; for if [G1487][G1063] they were of [G1537] us [G1473], they would have remained [G3306] with [G3326] us [G1473]; but [it was] that [G2443] they should be made manifest [G5319] that [G3754] not [G3756] are all [G3956] of [G1537] us [G1473].
20: And [G2532] you [G1473] an anointing [G5545] have [G2192] from the [G3588] holy [one , and [G2532] you know [G1492] all [things] [G3956].
21: I wrote not [G3756][G1125] to you [G1473] because [G3754] you do not [G3756] know [G1492] the [G3588] truth , but because [G3754] you do know [G1492] it [G1473], and [G2532] that [G3754] every [G3956] lie [G5579] of [G1537] the [G3588] truth not [G3756] is .
22: Who [G5100] is the [G3588] liar [G5583], if not [G1508] the [G3588] [one] denying, [saying that [G3754], Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) not [G3756] is the [G3588] [one] Anointed '[G5547]? This [G3778] is the Anti-Anointed One , the [G3588] [one] denying the [G3588] father [G3962] and [G2532] the [G3588] son [G5207].
23: Every [one [G3956] the [G3588] denying the [G3588] son [G5207], neither [G3761] the [G3588] father [G3962] has [G2192].
24: You [G1473] then [G3767], what [G3739] you heard from beginning , in [G1722] you [G1473] let it abide [G3306]! If [G1437] in [G1722] you [G1473] should abide [G3306] what [G3739] from beginning you heard , then [G2532] you [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] son [G5207] and [G2532] in [G1722] the [G3588] father [G3962] will abide [G3306].
25: And [G2532] this [G3778] is the [G3588] promise [G1860] which [G3739] he [G1473] promised [G1861] to us [G1473] -- the [G3588] life [G2222] of the [G3588] term (age) '.
26: These [things] [G3778] I wrote [G1125] to you [G1473] concerning [G4012] the [G3588] [ones] misleading [G4105] you [G1473].
27: And [G2532] you [G1473] -- the [G3588] anointing [G5545] which [G3739] you received [G2983] from him [G1473] in [G1722] you [G1473] abides [G3306], and [G2532] no [G3756] need [G5532] you have [G2192] that [G2443] any [G5100] should teach [G1321] you [G1473]; but , as [G5613] the [G3588] same [G1473] anointing [G5545] teaches [G1321] you [G1473] concerning [G4012] all [things] [G3956], and [G2532] is true , and [G2532] not [G3756] is a lie [G5579], and [G2532] as [G2531] it taught [G1321] you [G1473], you will abide [G3306] in [G1722] him [G1473].
28: And [G2532] now [G3568], sons [G5040], abide [G3306] in [G1722] him [G1473]! that [G2443] whenever [G3752] he should be made manifest [G5319], we should have [G2192] an open manner [G3954], and [G2532] we should not [G3361] be ashamed before him [G1473] at [G1722] the [G3588] his arrival [G3952][G1473].
29: If [G1437] you know [G1492] that [G3754] he is righteous [G1342], you know [G1097] that [G3754] every [one [G3956] the [G3588] doing [G4160] the [G3588] righteousness [G1343] of [G1537] him [G1473] is engendered [G1080].
