1: And in [G1722][G1161] the [G3588] those days [G2250][G1565] came [G3854] John the [G3588] Baptist , proclaiming [G2784] in [G1722] the [G3588] wilderness [G2048] of the [G3588] Judea,
2: and [G2532] saying [G3004], Repent [G3340]! approaches [G1448] for [G1063] the [G3588] government ' of the [G3588] raised-places-above (skies) '[G3772].
3: For this [G3778][G1063] is the [thing] [G3588] having been spoken [G4483] by [G5259] Isaiah the [G3588] prophet [G4396], saying [G3004], A voice [G5456] yelling in [G1722] the [G3588] wilderness [G2048]; Prepare [G2090] the [G3588] way [G3598] of Boss '[G2962]! straight [G2117] Make [G4160] the [G3588] his roads [G5147][G1473]!
4: And he [G1473][G1161], the [G3588] John, had [G2192] the [G3588] his garment [G1742][G1473] from hair [G2359] camel's [G2574], and [G2532] a belt [G2223] made of skin [G1193] around [G4012] the [G3588] his loin [G3751][G1473]. the [G3588] And [G1161] his nourishment [G5160][G1473] was locusts and [G2532] honey [G3192] wild .
5: Then [G5119] came forth [G1607] to [G4314] him [G1473] Jerusalem, and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] Judea, and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] place round about [G4066] the [G3588] Jordan.
6: And [G2532] they were submerged in [G1722] the [G3588] Jordan by [G5259] him [G1473], acknowledging [G1843] the [G3588]ir sins [G1473].
7: And looking [at] [G1492][G1161] many [G4183] of the [G3588] Pharisees [G5330] ("Separate Ones" [H6504]) and [G2532] Sadducees coming [G2064] upon [G1909] the [G3588] his submergence [G1473], he said [G2036] to them [G1473], Offspring [G1081] of vipers [G2191], who [G5100] showed plainly [G5263] to you [G1473] to flee [G5343] from the [G3588] about [to come [G3195] anger [G3709]?
8: Do [G4160] then [G3767] fruits [G2590] worthy of the [G3588] repentance [G3341]!
9: For [G2532] you should not [G3361] seem [G1380] to say [G3004] in [G1722] yourselves [G1438], father [G3962] We have [G2192] the [G3588] Abraham. For I say [G3004][G1063] to you [G1473], that [G3754] God is able [G1410] the [G3588][G2316] from out of [G1537] the [G3588]se stones [G3037][G3778] to raise up [G1453] children [G5043] the [G3588] to Abraham].
10: And already [G2235][G1161] even [G2532] the [G3588] axe to [G4314] the [G3588] root [G4491] of the [G3588] trees [G1186] is situated [G2749]. For every [G3956][G3767] tree [G1186] not [G3361] producing [G4160] fruit [G2590] good [G2570], is cut down [G1581] and [G2532] into [G1519] fire [G4442] thrown .
11: Forasmuch as I [G1473][G3303] submerge ' you [G1473] in [G1722] water [G5204] for [G1519] repentance [G3341], the [G3588] [one] [G1161] after [G3694] me [G1473] coming [G2064] stronger than [G2478] me [G1473] is ; of whom [G3739] I am not [G3756] fit [G2425] the [G3588] sandals [G5266] to bear . He [G1473] will immerse you [G1473] in [G1722] wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151] pure ' and [G2532] fire [G4442] --
12: of which [G3739] the [G3588] winnowing fan [G4425] [is] in [G1722] the [G3588] his hand [G5495][G1473], and [G2532] he will thoroughly cleanse [G1245] the [G3588] his threshing-floor [G1473], and [G2532] will gather together [G4863] the [G3588] his grain [G4621][G1473] into [G1519] the [G3588] storehouse ; but the [G3588][G1161] straw he will incinerate [G2618] fire [G4442] by inextinguishable .
13: Then [G5119] comes [G3854] the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) from the [G3588] Galilee unto [G1909] the [G3588] Jordan to [G4314] the [G3588] John, the [G3588] to be submerged by [G5259] him [G1473].
14: the [G3588] And [G1161] John restrains [G1254] him [G1473], saying [G3004], I [G1473] need [G5532] have [G2192] by [G5259] you [G1473] to be submerged , and [G2532] you [G1473] come [G2064] to [G4314] me [G1473]?
15: And answering [G1161] the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) said [G2036] to [G4314] him [G1473], Allow [it just now ! for to this [G3779][G1063] it is becoming [G4241] to us [G1473] to fulfill [G4137] all [G3956] righteousness [G1343]. Then [G5119] he allows him [G1473].
16: And [G2532] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) having been submerged the [G3588], went up straightway from the [G3588] water [G5204]. And [G2532] look [G2400], were opened to him [G1473] the [G3588] raised-places-above (skies) '[G3772], and [G2532] he looked [at] [G1492] the [G3588] wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151] of the [G3588] God '[G2316] coming down [G2597] as [G5616] a dove [G4058], and [G2532] coming [G2064] upon [G1909] him [G1473].
17: And [G2532] look [G2400], a voice [G5456] from out of [G1537] the [G3588] raised-places-above (skies) '[G3772], saying [G3004], This [G3778] is the [G3588] my son [G5207][G1473] the [G3588] beloved , in [G1722] whom [G3739] I take pleasure [G2106].
