John Chapter 11 - | Early Church Bible

1: And there was [G1161] a certain [G5100] sick [man , Lazarus, from Bethany, from out of [G1537] the [G3588] town [G2968] of Mary and [G2532] Martha the [G3588] her sister [G1473].
2: was And [G1161] Mary] the [G3588] [one] anointing the [G3588] Boss '[G2962] with perfumed liquid [G3464], and [G2532] wiped clean [G1591] the [G3588] feet [G4228] of him [G1473] [with] the [G3588] her hair [G2359][G1473], whose [G3739] the [G3588] brother Lazarus was sick .
3: sent then [G3767] the [G3588] sisters to [G4314] him [G1473], saying [G3004], O Boss '[G2962], look [here]! [G2396], whom [G3739] you are fond of [G5368] is sick .
4: And hearing [G1161], the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) said [G2036], This [G3778] the [G3588] sickness not [G3756] is to [G4314] death [G2288], but for [G5228] the [G3588] glory [G1391] of the [G3588] God '[G2316], that [G2443] should be glorified [G1392] the [G3588] son [G5207] of the [G3588] God '[G2316] through [G1223] it [G1473].
5: loved And [G1161] the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) the [G3588] Martha, and [G2532] the [G3588] her sister [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] Lazarus.
6: Then as [G5613][G3767] he heard that [G3754] he is sick , then [G5119] indeed [G3303] he stayed [G3306] in [G1722] where [G3739] he was place [G5117] two [G1417] days [G2250].
7: Thereupon [G1899] after [G3326] this [G3778] he says [G3004] to the [G3588] trainees '[G3101], We should convey ' unto [G1519] the [G3588] Judea again [G3825].
8: say [G3004] to him [G1473] the [G3588] trainees '[G3101], Rabbi [G4461] ["Teacher [G1320]" John 1:38], now [G3568] seek [G2212] to stone you [G1473][G3034] the [G3588] Jews], and [G2532] again [G3825] you go [G5217] there [G1563]?
9: Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) answered the [G3588], not [G3780] twelve [G1427] Are there hours [G5610] in the [G3588] day [G2250]? If [G1437] anyone [G5100] should walk [G4043] in [G1722] the [G3588] day [G2250], he will not [G3756] stumble [G4350], for [G3754] the [G3588] light [G5457] the [G3588] [one] of arrangement '[G2889] this [G3778] he sees .
10: But if [G1437][G1161] anyone [G5100] should walk [G4043] in [G1722] the [G3588] night [G3571], he stumbles [G4350], for [G3754] the [G3588] light [G5457] not [G3756] is in [G1722] him [G1473].
11: These [things] [G3778] he said [G2036]. And [G2532] after [G3326] this [G3778] he says [G3004] to them [G1473], Lazarus the [G3588] our friend [G5384][G1473] has gone to sleep [G2837]; but I will go [G4198] that [G2443] I should wake [G1852] him [G1473].
12: said [G2036] then [G3767] the [G3588] His disciples [G3101][G1473], O Boss '[G2962], if [G1487] he has gone to sleep [G2837], he will be delivered [G4982].
13: had spoken [G2046] But [G1161] the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) concerning [G4012] the [G3588] his death [G2288][G1473]; but they [G1565][G1161] thought [G1380] that [G3754] concerning [G4012] the [G3588] resting [G2838] of the [G3588] sleep [G5258] he spoke of [G3004].
14: Then [G5119] therefore [G3767] said [G2036] to them [G1473] the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) in an open manner [G3954], Lazarus died .
15: And [G2532] I rejoice [G5463] because of [G1223] you [G1473], (that [G2443] you should trust '[G4100]), that [G3754] I was not [G3756] there [G1563]; but we should convey ' [on] to [G4314] him [G1473].
16: Then said [G2036][G3767] Thomas, the [G3588] [one] being called [G3004] Didymus, to the [G3588] fellow-trainees '[G4827], We should convey ' [on] also [G2532] ourselves [G1473] that [G2443] we should die with [G3326] him [G1473].
17: Having come [G2064] then [G3767], the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) found [G2147] him [G1473] four [G5064] days [G2250] already [G2235] having [been [G2192] in [G1722] the [G3588] sepulchre [G3419].
18: was And [G1161] the [G3588] Bethany] near [G1451] the [G3588] Jerusalem, about [G5613] stadiums [G4712] fifteen [G1178].
19: And [G2532] many [G4183] from [G1537] the [G3588] Jews had come [G2064] to [G4314] the [G3588] [ones] around [G4012] Martha and [G2532] Mary, so as [G2443] to console [G3888] them [G1473] concerning [G4012] the [G3588]ir brother [G1473].
20: the [G3588]n [G3767] Martha, as [G5613] she heard that [G3754] the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) comes [G2064], met [G5221] him [G1473]; but Mary [G1161] in [G1722] the [G3588] house [G3624] was seated [G2516].
21: Then said [G2036][G3767] the [G3588] Martha to [G4314] the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]), O Boss '[G2962], if [G1487] you were here [G5602], the [G3588] my brother [G1473] would not have [G3756] died [G2348].
22: But even [G2532] now [G3568] I know [G1492] that [G3754] as much as [G3745] you should ask the [G3588] God '[G2316], will give [G1325] to you [G1473] the [G3588] God '[G2316].
23: says [G3004] to her [G1473] the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]), will arise the [G3588] Your brother [G1473].
24: says [G3004] to him [G1473] Martha], I know [G1492] that [G3754] he will rise up in [G1722] the [G3588] resurrection in [G1722] the [G3588] last [G2078] day [G2250].
25: said [G2036] to her [G1473] the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]), I [G1473] am the [G3588] resurrection and [G2532] the [G3588] life [G2222]. the [G3588] [one] trusting '[G4100] in [G1519] me [G1473], even if [G2579] he should die , he will live [G2198].
26: And [G2532] every [one [G3956] the [G3588] living [G2198] and [G2532] trusting '[G4100] in [G1519] me [G1473], in no way should die into [G1519] the [G3588] age (term) `. [Do] you trust '[G4100] this [G3778]?
27: She says [G3004] to him [G1473], Yes [G3483], O Boss '[G2962]; I [G1473] trust '[G4100] that [G3754] you [G1473] are the [G3588] [one] Anointed '[G5547], the [G3588] son [G5207] of the [G3588] God '[G2316], the [G3588] [one] into [G1519] the [G3588] arrangement '[G2889] coming [G2064].
28: And [G2532] these [things] [G3778] having said [G2036], she went forth , and [G2532] called [G5455] Mary the [G3588] her sister [G1473] in private [G2977], having said [G2036], the [G3588] Teacher [G1320] ["Rabbi [G4461]" John 1:38] is at hand [G3918], and [G2532] calls [G5455] you [G1473].
29: That one [G1565], as [G5613] she heard , rises [G1453] quickly [G5036] and [G2532] comes [G2064] to [G4314] him [G1473].
30: But not yet [G3768][G1161] was Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) come [G2064] the [G3588] into [G1519] the [G3588] town [G2968], but was in [G1722] the [G3588] place [G5117] where [G3699] met [G5221] him [G1473] the [G3588] Martha].
31: Then the [G3588][G3767] Jews, the [G3588] [ones] being with [G3326] her [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] house [G3614], and [G2532] consoling [G3888] her [G1473], seeing [G1492] the [G3588] Mary, that [G3754] quickly [G5030] she rose up and [G2532] went forth [G1831], they followed her [G1473], saying [G3004] that [G3754], She goes [G5217] unto [G1519] the [G3588] sepulchre [G3419] that [G2443] she should weep [G2799] there [G1563].
32: the [G3588]n [G3767] Mary as [G5613] she came [G2064] where [G3699] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) was the [G3588], seeing [G1492] him [G1473], fell [G4098] unto [G1519] the [G3588] feet [G4228] of him [G1473], saying [G3004] to him [G1473], O Boss '[G2962], if [G1487] you might have been here [G5602], would not have [G3756] died my [G1473] the [G3588] brother .
33: Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) then [G3767] as [G5613] he looked [at] [G1492] her [G1473] weeping [G2799], and [G2532] the [G3588] coming with [G4905] her [G1473] Jews] weeping [G2799], was deeply moved [G1690] in the [G3588] wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151], and [G2532] troubled [G5015] himself [G1438].
34: And [G2532] he said [G2036], Where [G4226] have you placed [G5087] him [G1473]? They say [G3004] to him [G1473], O Boss '[G2962], come [G2064] and [G2532] see [G1492]!
35: Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) burst into tears [G1145] the [G3588].
36: Then said [G3004][G3767] the [G3588] Jews, Look [here]! [G2396] how [G4459] he was fond of [G5368] him [G1473]!
37: But some [G5100][G1161] of [G1537] them [G1473] said [G2036], not [G3756] able [G1410] Was this one [G3778], the [G3588] opening the [G3588] eyes [G3788] of the [G3588] blind [G5185], to execute [G4160] that [G2443] also [G2532] this one [G3778] should not [G3361] have died ?
38: Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) then [G3767] again [G3825] deeply moved [G1690] in [G1722] himself [G1438] comes [G2064] unto [G1519] the [G3588] sepulchre [G3419]. And it was [G1161] a cave [G4693], and [G2532] a stone [G3037] was pressed [G1945] against [G1909] it [G1473].
39: Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) says [G3004] the [G3588], Lift the [G3588] stone [G3037]! says [G3004] to him [G1473] the [G3588] sister of the [G3588] [one] having died [G2348] Martha], O Boss '[G2962], already [G2235] he reeks [G3605], fourth day [G5066] for [G1063] it is .
40: says [G3004] to her [G1473] the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]), Did I not [G3756] say [G2036] to you [G1473], that [G3754] if [G1437] you should trust '[G4100], you will see [G3708] the [G3588] glory [G1391] of the [G3588] God '[G2316]?
41: Then they lifted away [G3767] the [G3588] stone [G3037] where [G3739] was the [G3588] [one] having died [G2348] situated [G2749]. the [G3588] And [G1161] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) lifted [his the [G3588] eyes [G3788] upward , and [G2532] said [G2036], O father [G3962], I give thanks [G2168] to you [G1473] that [G3754] you heard me [G1473].
42: And I [G1473][G1161] know [G1492] that [G3754] at all times [G3842] you hear me [G1473]; but on account of [G1223] the [G3588] crowd [G3793] the [G3588] standing around [G4026] I spoke [G2036], that [G2443] they should trust '[G4100] that [G3754] you [G1473] sent me [G1473].
43: And [G2532] these [things] [G3778] having said [G2036], voice [G5456] with a great [G3173] he cried out [G2905], Lazarus, come [G1204] outside [G1854].
44: And [G2532] came forth [G1831] the [G3588] [one] having died [G2348], being tied [G1210] of the [G3588] feet [G4228], and [G2532] the [G3588] hands [G5495] swathed [G2750], and [G2532] the [G3588] his face [G3799] with a scarf [G4676] tied about [G4019]. says [G3004] to them [G1473] the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]), Untie [G3089] him [G1473], and [G2532] let [him go [G5217]!
45: Then many [G4183][G3767] of [G1537] the [G3588] Jews, the [G3588] [ones] having come [G2064] with [G4314] the [G3588] Mary, and [G2532] seeing [G2300] what [G3739] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) did [G4160] the [G3588], trusted '[G4100] in [G1519] him [G1473].
46: But some [G5100][G1161] of [G1537] them [G1473] went forth to [G4314] the [G3588] Pharisees [G5330] ("Separate Ones" [H6504]), and [G2532] told [G2036] to them [G1473] what [G3739] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) did [G4160] the [G3588].
47: gathered together [G4863] Then [G3767] the [G3588] chief priests and [G2532] the [G3588] Pharisees [G5330] ("Separate Ones" [H6504])] sanhedrin [G4892], and [G2532] said [G3004], What [G5100] do we do [G4160], for [G3754] this [G3778] the [G3588] man many [G4183] signs [G4592] does [G4160]?
48: If [G1437] we let him [do [G1473] thus [G3779], all [G3956] will trust '[G4100] in [G1519] him [G1473]; and [G2532] will come [G2064] the [G3588] Romans] and [G2532] take us [G1473] and [G2532] the [G3588] place [G5117] and [G2532] the [G3588] tradition-people (ethnic) '[G1484].
49: one [G1520] And [G1161] a certain [G5100] of [G1537] them [G1473], Caiaphas, being chief priest the [G3588] that year [G1763][G1565], said [G2036] to them [G1473], You [G1473] do not [G3756] know [G1492] anything [G3762];
50: nor [G3761] reason [G1260] that [G3754] it be advantageous [G4851] to us [G1473] that [G2443] one [G1520] man should die for [G5228] the [G3588] people [G2992], and [G2532] not [G3361] entire [G3650] the [G3588] tradition-people (ethnic) '[G1484] [should] perish .
51: But this [G3778][G1161] off himself [G1438] not [G3756] he said [G2036]. But being chief priest the [G3588] that year [G1763][G1565] he prophesied [G4395] that [G3754] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) was about [G3195] the [G3588] to die for [G5228] the [G3588] tradition-people (ethnic) '[G1484];
52: and [G2532] not [G3756] for [G5228] the [G3588] tradition-people (ethnic) '[G1484] only [G3440], but that [G2443] also [G2532] the [G3588] children [G5043] of the [G3588] God '[G2316], the [G3588] [ones] being dispersed [G1287], should be brought together [G4863] into [G1519] one [G1520].
53: From that [G1565] then [G3767] the [G3588] day [G2250] they advised [G4823] that [G2443] they should kill him [G1473].
54: Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) then [G3767] no longer [G3765] in an open manner [G3954] walked [G4043] among [G1722] the [G3588] Jews, but went forth from there [G1564] into [G1519] the [G3588] place [G5561] near [G1451] the [G3588] wilderness [G2048], into [G1519] being called Ephraim [G3004] a city [G4172], and there [G2546] he spent time [G1304] with [G3326] the [G3588] trainees '[G3101] of him [G1473].
55: And it was [G1161] near [G1451] the [G3588] passover [G3957] of the [G3588] Jews; and [G2532] went up many [G4183] unto [G1519] Jerusalem from out of [G1537] the [G3588] region [G5561] before [G4253] the [G3588] passover [G3957], that [G2443] they should purify themselves [G1438].
56: Then they were seeking [G2212][G3767] the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]), and [G2532] said [G3004] with [G3326] one another in [G1722] the [G3588] temple [G2413] standing [G2476], What [G5100] do you think [G1380][G1473], that [G3754] in no way should he come [G2064] unto [G1519] the [G3588] holiday [feast [G1859]?
57: gave [G1325] And [G1161] even [G2532] the [G3588] chief priests and [G2532] the [G3588] Pharisees [G5330] ("Separate Ones" [H6504])] a command [G1785], that [G2443] if [G1437] any [G5100] should know [G1097] where [G4226] he is , he should indicate [it [G3377], so that [G3704] they should lay hold [G4084] of him [G1473].
