Genesis Chapter 26 - | Early Church Bible

1: And there became [G1096][G1161] a famine [G3042] upon [G1909] the [G3588] land '[G1093], separate from [G5565] the [G3588] famine [G3042] for the [G3588]merly [G4387], which [G3739] happened [G1096] in [G1722] the [G3588] time [G5550] of the [G3588] Abraham. went [G4198] And [G1161] Isaac] to [G4314] Abimelech king of the Philistines in [G1519] Gerar.

7: asked [G1905] And [G1161] the [G3588] men of the [G3588] place [G5117] concerning [G4012] Rebekah the [G3588] his wife [G1135][G1473]. 11: gave orders [G4929] And [G1161] Abimelech] to all [G3956] the [G3588] his people [G2992][G1473], saying [G3004], Any [one [G3956] the [G3588] touching the [G3588] this man [G3778] and [G2532] the [G3588] his wife [G1135][G1473] unto death [G2288] liable [G1777] will be .
12: sowed [G4687] And [G1161] Isaac] in [G1722] the [G3588] that land '[G1093][G1565]. And [G2532] he found [G2147] in [G1722] the [G3588] that year [G1763][G1565] bearing a hundred [fold barley [G2915], blessed [G2127] and [G1161] him [G1473] Boss '[G2962].

15: And [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] wells [G5421] which [G3739] dug [G3736] the [G3588] servants [G3816] of the [G3588] his father [G3962][G1473] obstructed them [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] time [G5550] of the [G3588] his father [G3962][G1473] the [G3588] Philistines], and [G2532] filled [G4130] them [G1473] [with] land '[G1093].
16: said [G2036] And [G1161] Abimelech] to [G4314] Isaac, Go forth from us [G1473]! for [G3754] mightier than [G1415] us [G1473] you became [G1096] exceedingly [G4970].
17: And [G2532] Isaac went forth from there [G1564]. And [G2532] he rested up [G2647] in [G1722] the [G3588] ravine [G5327] of Gerar, and [G2532] dwelt [G2730] there [G1563].
18: And [G2532] again [G3825] Isaac dug [G3736] the [G3588] wells [G5421] of the [G3588] water [G5204] which [G3739] dug [G3736] the [G3588] servants [G3816] of Abraham the [G3588] his father [G3962][G1473]; and [G2532] obstructed them [G1473] the [G3588] Philistines], after [G3326] the [G3588] dying of Abraham the [G3588] his father [G3962][G1473]. And [G2532] he named [G2028] them [G1473] with names [G3686] according to [G2596] the [G3588] names [G3686] which [G3739] named [G3687] the [G3588] his father [G3962][G1473].
19: And [G2532] dug [G3736] the [G3588] servants [G3816] of Isaac] in [G1722] the [G3588] ravine [G5327] of Gerar, and [G2532] found [G2147] there [G1563] a well [of [G5421] water [G5204] living [G2198].
20: And [G2532] did combat [G3164] the [G3588] shepherds [G4166] of Gerar] with [G3326] the [G3588] shepherds [G4166] of Isaac, maintaining [G5335] theirs [G1473] to be the [G3588] water [G5204]. And [G2532] they called [G2564] the [G3588] name [G3686] of the [G3588] well [G5421], Injustice , for they wronged [G1063] him [G1473].
21: And departing [G1161] from there [G1564] he dug [G3736] well [G5421] another [G2087]. And they quarreled [G2919][G1161] also [G2532] on account of [G4012] that [well [G1565]. And [G2532] he named [G2028] the [G3588] name [G3686] of it [G1473], Hatred .
22: And departing [G1161] from there [G1564], he dug [G3736] well [G5421] another [G2087]. And [G2532] they did not [G3756] do combat [G3164] over [G4012] it [G1473]. 24: And [G2532] appeared [G3708] to him [G1473] Boss '[G2962] in [G1722] the [G3588] that night [G3571][G1565], and [G2532] said [G2036], I [G1473] am the [G3588] God '[G2316] of Abraham the [G3588] father [G3962] of you [G1473]. Do not [G3361] fear [G5399]! with [G3326] you [G1473] for [G1063] I am . And [G2532] I will bless [G2127] you [G1473], and [G2532] I will multiply [G4129] the [G3588] your seed [G4690][G1473] because of [G1223] Abraham the [G3588] father [G3962] of you [G1473].
25: And [G2532] he built [G3618] there [G1563] an altar [G2379], and [G2532] called upon [G1941] the [G3588] name [G3686] of Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] he pitched [G4078] there [G1563] the [G3588] his tent [G4633][G1473]. dug [G3736] And [G1161] there [G1563] the [G3588] servants [G3816] of Isaac a well [G5421] in [G1722] the [G3588] ravine [G5327] Gerar.
26: And [G2532] Abimelech went [G4198] to [G4314] him [G1473] from Gerar, and [G2532] Ahuzzath the [G3588] his groomsman [G1473], and [G2532] Phichol the [G3588] commander-in-chief of the [G3588] his force [G1411][G1473].
27: And [G2532] said [G2036] to them [G1473] Isaac], Why [G2444] did you come [G2064] to [G4314] me [G1473]; for you [G1473][G1161] detested [G3404] me [G1473], and [G2532] you sent me [G1473] from you [G1473]?
28: And the [G3588][G1161] they said [G2036], Seeing [G1492], we have seen [G3708] that [G3754] Boss '[G2962] was with [G3326] you [G1473]. And [G2532] we said [G2036], Let there become [G1096] an oath between us [G1473] and [G2532] between you [G1473]! And [G2532] we will ordain [G1303] with [G3326] you [G1473] a covenant [G1242].
29: You will not [G3361] do [G4160] with [G3326] us [G1473] evil [G2556], in so far as [G2530] did not abhor [G3756] you [G1473] we [G1473], and [G2532] which [G3739] manner [G5158] we treated [G5530] you [G1473] well [G2573], and [G2532] we sent you out [G1821][G1473] in [G3326] peace [G1515]. And [G2532] now [G3568], you are being blessed [G2128][G1473] by [G5259] Boss '[G2962].
30: And [G2532] he made [G4160] a banquet for them [G1473][G1403]. And [G2532] they ate [G2068] and [G2532] drank [G4095].
31: And [G2532] rising up in the morning [G4404], swore by an oath [G3660] each [G1538] to the [G3588] neighbor [G4139]. And [G2532] sent them out [G1821][G1473] Isaac], and [G2532] they moved away from him [G1473] with [G3326] safety [G4991].
32: And it came to pass [G1096][G1161] in [G1722] the [G3588] that day [G2250][G1565], also [G2532] coming [G3854] the [G3588] servants [G3816] of Isaac] reported to him [G1473] concerning [G4012] the [G3588] well [G5421] which [G3739] they dug [G3736], and [G2532] said [G2036], We did not [G3756] find [G2147] water [G5204].
33: And [G2532] he called [G2564] it [G1473], Oath [G3727]. On account of [G1223] this [G3778] he called [G2564] name [G3686] [of the [G3588] that city [G4172][G1565], Well [G5421] of Oath [G3727], unto [G2193] the [G3588] today's [G4594] day [G2250].
34: was And [G1161] Esau years [old [G2094] forty [G5062] and [G2532] he took [G2983] a wife [G1135] -- Judith the [G3588] daughter [G2364] of Beeri the [G3588] Hittite, and [G2532] the [G3588] Bashemath daughter [G2364] of Elon the [G3588] Hittite.
35: And [G2532] they were contending [G2051] [with] the [G3588] Isaac and [G2532] the [G3588] Rebekah.
