2 Samuel Chapter 4 - | Early Church Bible

1: And [G2532] heard Ishbosheth son [G5207] of Saul] that [G3754] Abner has died [G2348] in [G1722] Hebron, and [G2532] were faint [G1590] the [G3588] his hands [G5495][G1473], and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] men of Israel were disturbed [G5015].
2: And [there were [G2532] two [G1417] men being leaders [G2233] of confederation of the [G3588] Ishbosheth son [G5207] of Saul -- name [G3686] to the [G3588] [one] [G1520] [was] Baanah, and [G2532] name [G3686] of the [G3588] second [G1208], Rechab, the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Rimmon the [G3588] Beerothite from out of [G1537] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Benjamin; for [G3754] also [G2532] Beeroth was considered [G3049] [among] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Benjamin.
3: And [G2532] ran away the [G3588] Beerothites] unto [G1519] Gittaim, and [G2532] they were there [G1563] sojourning [G3939] until [G2193] the [G3588] this day [G2250][G3778].
4: And [G2532] the [G3588] to Jonathan, son [G5207] of Saul, [there was] a son [G5207] stricken [G4141] in the [G3588] feet [G4228], a son [G5207] years old [G2094] five [G4002]; and [G2532] this one [was [G3778] in [the way [G1722] in the [G3588] coming [G2064] [of] the [G3588] word-conveyed (message) ' of Saul and [G2532] Jonathan the [G3588] son [G5207] of him [G1473] from out of [G1537] Jezreel; and [G2532] lifted him [G1473] the [G3588] his wet-nurse [G1473] and [G2532] fled [G5343]. And [G2532] it happened [G1096] in [G1722] the [G3588] her hastening [G4692][G1473] and [G2532] withdrawing he fell [G4098] and [G2532] became lame . And [G2532] name [G3686] to him [G1473] [was] Mephibosheth.
5: And [G2532] went out [G4198] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Rimmon the [G3588] Beerothite], Rechab and [G2532] Baana; and [G2532] they entered [G1525] in [G1722] the [G3588] sweltering heat [G2738] of the [G3588] day [G2250] into [G1519] the [G3588] house [G3624] of Ishbosheth, and [G2532] he was [G1473] asleep [G2518] in [G1722] the [G3588] bed [G2845] in the [G3588] midday [G3314].
6: And [G2532] look [G2400], the [G3588] doorkeeper [G2377] of the [G3588] house [G3624] was cleansing [G2508] wheat , and [G2532] he slumbered [G3573] and [G2532] slept [G2518]. And [G2532] Rechab and [G2532] Baanah the [G3588] brother of him [G1473] escaped notice .
7: And [G2532] they entered [G1525] into [G1519] the [G3588] house [G3624]. And [G2532] Ishbosheth was sleeping [G2518] upon [G1909] the [G3588] his bed [G2825][G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] his bedroom [G2846][G1473]. And [G2532] they strike [G5180] him [G1473], and [G2532] put him to death [G2289][G1473], and [G2532] remove the [G3588] his head [G2776][G1473]. And [G2532] they took [G2983] the [G3588] his head [G2776][G1473], and [G2532] went forth in way [G3598], the [G3588] [one] according to [G2596] west [G1424], entire [G3650] the [G3588] night [G3571].
8: And [G2532] they brought [G5342] the [G3588] head [G2776] of Ishbosheth the [G3588] to David in [G1519] Hebron. And [G2532] they said [G2036] to [G4314] the [G3588] king , look [G2400], the [G3588] head [G2776] of Ishbosheth son [G5207] of Saul the [G3588] your enemy [G2190][G1473], who [G3739] sought [G2212] the [G3588] your life [G5590][G1473]; and [G2532] BOSS gave [G1325][G2962] [to] the [G3588] Boss '[G2962] of us [G1473] the [G3588] king punishment [G1557] of the [G3588] his enemies [G2190][G1473], as [G5613] the [G3588] this day [G2250][G3778], of [G1537] Saul the [G3588] your enemy [G2190][G1473], and [G2532] of [G1537] the [G3588] his seed [G4690][G1473].
9: And [G2532] David responded the [G3588] to Rechab and [G2532] the [G3588] to Baanah his brother [G1473], sons [G5207] of Rimmon the [G3588] Beerothite, and [G2532] said [G2036] to them [G1473], As BOSS lives [G2198][G2962], who [G3739] ransomed [G3084] the [G3588] soul [G5590] of me [G1473] from [G1537] all [G3956] affliction [G2347];
10: that [G3754] the [G3588] [one] reporting to me [G1473] that [G3754] Saul has died [G2348], and [G2532] he [G1473] was as one [G5613] good-word-conveying (evangelizing) '[G2097] before [G1799] me [G1473], but [G2532] I constrained [G2722] him [G1473], and [G2532] killed him [G1473] in [G1722] Ziklag, in which [G3739] he must [have thought [G1163] to be giving me [G1473][G1325] a good-word-conveyed (good message) '[G2098].
11: And [G2532] now [G3568], men wicked [G4190] killed man a just [G1342] in [G1722] the [G3588] his house [G3624][G1473] upon [G1909] the [G3588] his bed [G2845][G1473]. And [G2532] now [G3568], I will require [G1567] for the [G3588] blood of him [G1473] of [G1537] your hand [G5495][G1473], and [G2532] I will utterly destroy [G1842] you [G1473] from [G1537] the [G3588] land '[G1093].
12: And [G2532] David gave charge [G1781] [to the [G3588] his servants [G3808][G1473], and [G2532] they killed them [G1473], and [G2532] lopped off [G2856] the [G3588]ir hands [G5495][G1473] and [G2532] the [G3588]ir feet [G4228][G1473], and [G2532] they hung [G2910] them [G1473] upon [G1909] the [G3588] fountain in [G1722] Hebron. And [G2532] the [G3588] head [G2776] of Ishbosheth they entombed [G2290] in [G1722] the [G3588] tomb [G5028] of Abner son [G5207] of Ner in [G1722] Hebron.
