1
And undertaking [G5274][G1161], Sophar the [G3588] Minean says [G3004],
2
Not [G3756] so far [G3779] have I undertook [G5274] to contradict you [G1473] in these [things] [G3778], and [G2532] neither [G3780] do you perceive [G4920] more [G3123] than [G2228] I [G1473].
3
instruction [G3809] for making me ashamed [G1791][G1473] I will hearken to ; and [G2532] wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151] of [G1537] the [G3588] understanding [G4907] answers me [G1473].
4
Have [G3361] these [things] [G3778] you known [G1097] from the [G3588] yet [G2089] off which [time] [G3739] was put [G5087] man upon [G1909] the [G3588] land '[G1093]?
5
For gladness [G2167][G1063] of impious downfall [G4430] is an extraordinary ; and a cause for joy [G1161] of the lawbreakers is destruction .
6
If [G1437] should go up into [G1519] raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772] of him '[G1473] the [G3588] gifts [G1435], the [G3588] and [G1161] his sacrifice [G2378][G1473] clouds [G3509] should touch ;
7
for whenever [G3752][G1063] he should seem [G1380] already [G2235] firmly fixed , then [G5119] unto [G1519] end [G5056] he will perish ; and the [G3588] [ones] [G1161] knowing [G1492] him [G1473] will say [G2046], Where [G4226] is he ?
8
As if [G5618] a dream [G1798] spreading forth [G1600], in no way will he be found [G2147]; so he flys [G4072][G1161] as if [G5618] manifestation a nightly .
9
eye [G3788] overlooked , and [G2532] does not [G3756] proceed [G4369], and [G2532] no longer [G3765] pays attention to him [G1473] the [G3588] his place [G5117][G1473].
10
the [G3588] his sons [G5207][G1473] May destroy [his] inferiors [G2276], the [G3588] and [G1161] may his hands [G5495][G1473] light the fire of griefs [G3601].
11
His bones [G3747][G1473] were filled [G1705] with [the vigor] of his youth [G3503][G1473], and [G2532] with [G3326] him [G1473] upon [G1909] embankment it will go to bed [G2837].
12
Though [G1437] should be sweet in [G1722] his mouth [G4750][G1473] evil [G2549], he will hide [G2928] it [G1473] under [G5259] the [G3588] his tongue [G1100][G1473],
13
[and] he will not [G3756] spare [G5339] it [G1473], and [G2532] will not [G3756] abandon [G1459] it [G1473], but [G2532] brings [G4863] it [G1473] in [G1722] midst [G3319] of the [G3588] his throat [G2995][G1473].
14
Yet [G2532] in no way will he be able [G1410] to help himself [G1438]; bile [G5521] of an asp is in [G1722] his belly [G1064][G1473].
15
[His] riches [G4149] unjustly brought together [G4863] will be vomited forth . From out of [G1537] his house [G3614][G1473] will drag him away [G1828][G1473] an word-conveyer (messenger) '.
16
rage [G2372] And [G1161] of dragons [G1404] may he nurse [G2337]; may do away with and [G1161] him [G1473] tongue [G1100] of a serpent [G3789].
17
May he not [G3361] look [at] [G1492] milking of grazing [animals , nor [G3366] pastures [G3542] of honey [G3192] and [G2532] butter .
18
For [G1519] in emptiness [G2756] and [G2532] vanity [G3152] he tired [G2872] for riches [G4149], of [G1537] which [G3739] he will not [G3756] taste [G1089]; [it is] as if [G5618] tough , unchewable , [and] impotable .
19
of many [G4183] For [G1063] of disabled houses [G3624] he crushed ; and a habitation [G1161] he seized by force , and [G2532] he established it not [G3756][G2476].
20
not [G3756] is Of him '[G1473] safety [G4991] in the [G3588] possessions [G5224]; by [G1722] his desire [G1939][G1473] he will not [G3756] escape [G4982].
21
There is no [G3756] leftover of the [G3588] his foods [G1033][G1473]; on account of [G1223] this [G3778] will not [G3756] bloom of him '[G1473] the [G3588] good [things] .
22
And whenever [G3752][G1161] it should seem [G1380] urgent [G2235] to accomplish [something [G4137], he will be afflicted [G2346]; and all [G3956][G1161] distress upon [G1909] him [G1473] will come [G1904].
23
If by any means [G1487][G1513] he might fill [G4137] his belly [G1064][G1473], let [God] send as a successor upon [G1909] him [G1473] rage [G2372] of anger [G3709]; may wash [G3538] over [G1909] him [G1473] griefs [G3601].
24
And [G2532] in no way will he be delivered [G4982] from [G1537] hand [G5495] of iron [G4604]; may pierce him [G1473] bow [G5115] of brass ;
25
may go completely and [G1161] through [G1223] his body [G4983][G1473] arrow ; stars and [G1161] on [G1722] his habitation [G1473] may walk [G4043]; upon [G1909] him [G1473] [may] fears [be [G5401].
26
all [G3956] And [G1161] darkness [G4655] for him [G1473] may wait [G5278]; will devour [G2719] him [G1473] fire [G4442] inextinguishable ; may inflict evil on [G2559] and [G1161] of him '[G1473] a stranger the [G3588] house [G3624].
27
may uncover And [G1161] of him '[G1473] the [G3588] raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772] the [G3588] lawless deeds ; and land '[G1093][G1161] rise up against [G1881] him [G1473].
28
May draw [G1670] the [G3588] his house [G3624][G1473] destruction unto [G1519] end [G5056]; day [G2250] of anger [G3709] may] come upon [G1904] him [G1473].
29
This [is [G3778] the [G3588] portion [G3310] man of an impious from [G3844] Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] possession [G2933] of his substance [G5224] [given] to him [G1473] by [G3844] the [G3588] overseer [G1985].
