1 Kings Chapter 22 - | Early Church Bible

1: And [G2532] he sat down [G2523] three [G5140] years [G2094], and [G2532] no [G3756] there was war [G4171] between Syria and [G2532] between Israel.
2: And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] in [G1722] the [G3588] year [G1763] the [G3588] third [G5154], that [G2532] went down [G2597] Jehoshaphat king of Judah] to [G4314] king of Israel.
3: And [G2532] said [G2036] the [G3588] king of Israel] to [G4314] the [G3588] his servants [G3816][G1473], Do [G1487] you know [G1492] that [G3754] [is ours [G1473] Ramoth Gilead], and [G2532] we [G1473] keep silent [G4623] [to the [G3588] not [G3361] take [G2983] it [G1473] from out of [G1537] hand [G5495] of king of Syria?
4: And [G2532] said [G2036] the [G3588] king of Israel] to [G4314] Jehoshaphat, will you not ascend [G1487] with [G3326] me [G1473] unto [G1519] Ramoth Gilead for [G1519] war [G4171]?
5: And [G2532] Jehoshaphat said [G2036], As [G2531] you [G1473], thus [G3779] also [G2532] I [G1473]. As [G2531] the [G3588] your people [G2992][G1473], thus [G3779] also [G2532] my people [G2992][G1473]. As [G2531] the [G3588] your horses [G2462][G1473], [so also the [G3588] my horses [G2462][G1473]. And [G2532] said [G2036] Jehoshaphat king of Judah] to [G4314] king of Israel, Ask [G1905] indeed [G1211] today [G4594] of the [G3588] Boss '[G2962].
6: And [G2532] gathered together [G4867] the [G3588] king of Israel] all [G3956] the [G3588] prophets [G4396], about [G5613] four hundred [G5071] men . And [G2532] said [G2036] to them [G1473], will [G1487] I go [G4198] unto [G1519] Ramoth Gilead for [G1519] war [G4171], or [G2228] wait [G1907]? And [G2532] they said [G2036], go up ! for [G3754] by giving [G1325], BOSS will give [G1325][G2962] into [G1519] hands [G5495] of the [G3588] king .
7: And [G2532] Jehoshaphat said [G2036] to [G4314] the [G3588] king of Israel, Is there not [G3756] here [G5602] a prophet [G4396] of the [G3588] Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] we will ask [G1905] the [G3588] Boss '[G2962] through [G1223] him [G1473]?
8: And [G2532] said [G2036] the [G3588] king of Israel] to [G4314] Jehoshaphat, Yet [G2089] there is one [G1520] man for [G1519] the [G3588] asking [G1905] the [G3588] Boss '[G2962] through [G1223] him [G1473], and [G2532] I [G1473] detest [G3404] him [G1473], for [G3754] he does not speak [G3756][G2980] concerning [G4012] me [G1473] [for] good [things] [G2570], but only bad [G2556] -- Micaiah son [G5207] of Imlah. And [G2532] Jehoshaphat said [G2036], Let not [G3361] speak [G3004] the [G3588] king so [G3779].
9: And [G2532] called [G2564] the [G3588] king of Israel eunuch [G2135] one [G1520], and [G2532] he said [G2036], the [G3588] Quickly [bring [G5034] Micaiah son [G5207] of Imlah.
10: And [G2532] the [G3588] king of Israel and [G2532] Jehoshaphat king of Judah sat down [G2521] each [G1538] upon [G1909] the [G3588] throne [G2362] of him [G1473], armed , at [G1722] threshing-floor gate [G4439] of Samaria. And [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] prophets [G4396] prophesied [G4395] before [G1799] them [G1473].
11: And [G2532] made [G4160] for himself [G1438] Zedekiah son [G5207] of Chenaanah] horns [G2768] of iron [G4603]. And [G2532] he said [G2036], Thus [G3592] says [G3004] Boss '[G2962], By [G1722] these [G3778] you will gore the [G3588] Syrian until [G2193] whenever you finish them off entirely [G4931].
12: And [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] prophets [G4396] prophesied [G4395] thus [G3779], saying [G3004], go up unto [G1519] Ramoth Gilead! and [G2532] your way will prosper [G2137], and [G2532] BOSS will put [G1325][G2962] into [G1519] your hands [G5495][G1473] the [G3588] king of Syria.
13: And [G2532] the [G3588] word-conveyer (messenger) ', the [G3588] [one] going [G4198] to call [G2564] the [G3588] Micaiah spoke [G2980] to him [G1473], saying [G3004], look [G2400], indeed [G1211] all [G3956] the [G3588] prophets [G4396] speak [G2980] mouth [G4750] by one [G1520] good [things] [G2570] concerning [G4012] the [G3588] king . Let it be [G1096] indeed [G1211] that [G2532] you [G1473] [be] with [G1722] words [G3056] according to [G2596] the [G3588] words [G3056] of one [G1520] of these [G3778], and [G2532] speak [G2980] good [G2570]!
14: And [G2532] Micaiah said [G2036], As BOSS lives [G2198][G2962], that [G3754] what [G3739] ever [G1437] BOSS should say [G2036][G2962] to [G4314] me [G1473], these [things] [G3778] I will speak [G2980].
15: And [G2532] he came [G2064] to [G4314] the [G3588] king . And [G2532] said [G2036] to him [G1473] the [G3588] king , Micaiah, will [G1487] I go up to [G1519] Ramoth Gilead for [G1519] war [G4171], or [G2228] wait [G1907]? And [G2532] he said [G2036] to him [G1473], go up ! and [G2532] BOSS will prosper the way [G2137][G2962] in [G1722] hand [G5495] of the [G3588] king .
16: And [G2532] said [G2036] to him [G1473] the [G3588] king , How often [G4212] will I [G1473] adjure [G3726] you [G1473] that [G3704] you should speak [G2980] to [G4314] me [G1473] truth in [G1722] name [G3686] of Boss '[G2962]?
17: And [G2532] Micaiah said [G2036] thus [G3779], I see [G3708] all [G3956] the [G3588] Israel being scattered [G1289] in [G1722] the [G3588] raised-places (mountains) '[G3735] as [G5613] sheep [G4263] in which [G3739] there is no [G3756] shepherd [G4166]. And [G2532] BOSS said [G2036][G2962], [There] is no [G3756] boss [G2962] to these [G3778], let return each [G1538] to [G1519] the [G3588] his house [G3624][G1473] in [G1722] peace [G1515]!
18: And [G2532] said [G2036] the [G3588] king of Israel] to [G4314] Jehoshaphat king of Judah, Did I not say [G3756][G2036] to [G4314] you [G1473] that [G3754] would not [G3756] prophesy [G4395] this one [G3778] unto me [G1473] good [things] [G2570], but only bad [G2556]?
19: And [G2532] Micaiah said [G2036], On account of this [G1223][G3778] hear the [G3588] word [G3056] of Boss '[G2962]! I saw [G1492] Boss '[G2962] God '[G2316] of Israel sitting [G2521] upon [G1909] throne [G2362] of him [G1473], and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] military [G4756] of the [G3588] raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772] standing [G2476] about [G4012] him [G1473] at [G1537] his right [G1188][G1473], and [G2532] at [G1537] his left [G1473].
20: And [G2532] BOSS said [G2036][G2962], Who [G5100] will deceive the [G3588] Ahab king of Israel, that [G2532] he will go up in [G1722] Ramoth Gilead and [G2532] will fall [G4098] there [G1563]? And [G2532] this one said [G2036][G3778] thus [G3779], and [G2532] this [other one [G3778] thus [G3779].
21: And [G2532] came forth [G1831] a wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151], and [G2532] stood [G2476] before [G1799] Boss '[G2962]. And [G2532] he said [G2036], I [G1473] will deceive him [G1473].
22: And [G2532] said [G2036] to [G4314] him [G1473] Boss '[G2962], In [G1722] what [way [G5100]? And [G2532] he said [G2036], I will go forth [G1831], and [G2532] I will be wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151] a lying [G5571] in [G1722] mouth [G4750] of all [G3956] the [G3588] his prophets [G4396][G1473]. And [G2532] he said [G2036], You will deceive , and [G2532] indeed [G1065] you will be able [G1410]. Go forth [G1831], and [G2532] do [G4160] so [G3779]!
23: And [G2532] now [G3568], look [G2400], BOSS has put [G1325][G2962] wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151] a lying [G5571] in [G1722] mouth [G4750] of all [G3956] the [G3588] your prophets [G4396][G1473] these [G3778], and [G2532] Boss '[G2962] spoke [G2980] against [G1909] you [G1473] bad [things] [G2556].
24: And [G2532] came forward [G4334] Zedekiah son [G5207] of Chenaanah], and [G2532] he struck [G3960] the [G3588] Micaiah upon [G1909] the [G3588] jaw [G4600], and [G2532] he said [G2036], What kind [G4169] of wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151] of Boss '[G2962] departed from me [G1473] the [G3588] to speak [G2980] with [G1722] you [G1473]?
25: And [G2532] Micaiah said [G2036], look [G2400], you [G1473] will see [G3708] in [G1722] the [G3588] that day [G2250][G1565], whenever [G3752] you will enter [G1525] an inner chamber [G5009] of the [G3588] storeroom [G5009] the [G3588] to hide [G2928].
26: And [G2532] said [G2036] the [G3588] king of Israel], Take [G2983] the [G3588] Micaiah, and [G2532] return him [G1473] to [G4314] Amon the [G3588] ruler of the [G3588] city [G4172], and [G2532] to [G4314] Joash son [G5207] of the [G3588] king !
27: And [G2532] say [G2036], Thus [G3779] says [G3004] the [G3588] king , Put [G5087] him [G1473] in [G1722] prison [G5438], and [G2532] let him eat [G2068] bread of affliction [G2347] and [G2532] water [G5204] of affliction [G2347] until [G2193] the [G3588] my return [G1994][G1473] in [G1722] peace [G1515]!
28: And [G2532] Micaiah said [G2036], If [G1437] in returning [G1994], you should return [G1994] in [G1722] peace [G1515], did not [G3756] speak [G2980] Boss '[G2962] by [G1722] me [G1473]. And [G2532] he said [G2036], Let hearken all [G3956] the [G3588] people [G2992]!
29: And [G2532] ascended up the [G3588] king of Israel], and [G2532] Jehoshaphat king of Judah with [G3326] him [G1473] unto [G1519] Ramoth Gilead.
30: And [G2532] said [G2036] the [G3588] king of Israel] to [G4314] Jehoshaphat king of Judah, I will cover up myself [G4780], and [G2532] enter [G1525] into [G1519] the [G3588] battle [G4171]; and [G2532] you [G1473] put on [G1746] the [G3588] my clothes [G2441][G1473]! And [G2532] covered himself up [G4780] the [G3588] king of Israel], and [G2532] he entered [G1525] into [G1519] the [G3588] battle [G4171].
31: And [G2532] the [G3588] king of Syria gave charge [G1781] to the [G3588] rulers of the [G3588] his chariots [G1473] -- thirty [G5144] and [G2532] two [G1417], saying [G3004], Do not [G3361] do battle [G4170] against [G4314] small [G3397] or [G2228] great [G3173], but the [G3588] king of Israel alone [G3441].
32: And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] as [G5613] saw [G1492] the [G3588] [ones] in charge of the [G3588] chariots the [G3588] Jehoshaphat king of Judah, that [G2532] they [G1473] said [G2036], It appears [that [G5316] [is the] king of Israel this [one [G3778]. And [G2532] they encircled [G2944] him [G1473] the [G3588] to do battle [G4170]. And [G2532] Jehoshaphat shouted aloud .
33: And [G2532] it happened [G1096] as [G5613] saw [G1492] the [G3588] rulers of the [G3588] chariots that [G3754] not [G3756] is king of Israel this [G3778], that [G2532] they turned away from him [G1473].
34: And [G2532] stretched tight one [G1520] the [G3588] bow [G5115] merely , and [G2532] it struck [G3960] the [G3588] king of Israel between the [G3588] lungs and [G2532] between the [G3588] chest [plate [G2382]. And [G2532] he said [G2036] [to the [G3588] his charioteer [G1473], Turn [G1994] the [G3588] your hand [G5495][G1473] and [G2532] lead [G1806] me out [G1473] of [G1537] the [G3588] battle [G4171]! for [G3754] I have been wounded [G5135].
35: And [G2532] turned the [G3588] war [G4171] in [G1722] the [G3588] that day [G2250][G1565]. And [G2532] the [G3588] king was set [G2476] upon [G1909] the [G3588] chariot right opposite Syria, from morning [G4404] until [G2193] evening [G2073]. And [G2532] poured out the [G3588] blood from the [G3588] wound [G4127] into [G1519] the [G3588] cavity [G2859] of the [G3588] chariot .
36: And [G2532] stood [G2476] the [G3588] herald of the army in [G1722] the [G3588] camp [G3925] [until the] going down [G1416] of the [G3588] sun [G2246], saying [G3004], Each [G1538] to [G1519] the [G3588] his own [G1438] city [G4172], and [G2532] each [G1538] to [G1519] the [G3588] his own [G1438] land '[G1093],
37: for [G3754] has died [G2348] the [G3588] king . And [G2532] they went [G2064] unto [G1519] Samaria, and [G2532] they entombed [G2290] the [G3588] king in [G1722] Samaria.
38: And [G2532] they washed the [G3588] blood from the [G3588] chariot at [G1909] the [G3588] fountain of Samaria. And [G2532] licked up the [G3588] dogs [G2965] the [G3588] blood , and [G2532] the [G3588] harlots [G4204] bathed [G3068] in [G1722] the [G3588] blood , according to [G2596] the [G3588] saying [G4487] of Boss '[G2962] which [G3739] he spoke [G2980].
39: And [G2532] the [G3588] rest [G3062] of the [G3588] words [G3056] of Ahab, and [G2532] all [G3956] which [G3745] he did [G4160], and [G2532] house [G3624] of ivory [G1661] which [G3739] he built [G3618], and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] cities [G4172] which [G3739] he made [G4160], not [G3756] look [G2400] these [G3778] have] been written [G1125] in [G1722] scroll of words [G3056] of the [G3588] days [G2250] of the [G3588] kings of Israel?
40: And [G2532] Ahab slept [G2837] with [G3326] the [G3588] his fathers [G3962][G1473]; and [G2532] reigned Ahaziah son [G5207] of him [G1473] instead of him [G1473].
41: And [G2532] Jehoshaphat son [G5207] of Asa reigned over [G1909] Judah in [G1722] year [G2094] the [G3588] fourth [G5067] the [G3588] of Ahab king of Israel.
42: And [G2532] Jehoshaphat was thirty [G5144] and [G2532] five [G4002] years [old [G2094] in [G1722] the [G3588] his taking reign [G1473]; and [G2532] twenty [G1501] and [G2532] five [G4002] years [G2094] he reigned in [G1722] Jerusalem. And [G2532] name [G3686] of the [G3588] his mother [G3384][G1473] [was] Azubah daughter [G2364] of Shilhi.
43: And [G2532] he went [G4198] in [G1722] all [G3956] way [G3598] of Asa the [G3588] his father [G3962][G1473]. He turned not aside [G3756][G1578] from it [G1473], the [G3588] to do [G4160] the [G3588] upright in [G1722] eyes [G3788] of Boss '[G2962]. Except [G4133] the [G3588] high [places [G5308] he did not [G3756] lift away [G1808]; for [G2089] the [G3588] people [G2992] sacrificed and [G2532] burnt incense [G2370] on [G1722] the [G3588] high [places [G5308].
44: And [G2532] Jehoshaphat made peace [G1514] with [G3326] king of Israel.
45: And [G2532] the [G3588] rest [G3062] of the [G3588] words [G3056] of Jehoshaphat, and [G2532] the [G3588] his dominions [G1473] which [G3739] he had [G4160], not [G3756] look [G2400] these [G3778] are] written [G1125] in [G1722] scroll of words [G3056] of the [G3588] days [G2250] of kings of Judah?
46: And [G2532] the [G3588] rest [G3062] of the [G3588] [ones] being initiated [G5055] of the [G3588] things being forsaken [G2641] in [G1722] the [G3588] days [G2250] of Asa the [G3588] his father [G3962][G1473] he removed from the [G3588] land '[G1093].
47: And [G2532] a king was not [G3756] established [G2476] in [G1722] Edom.
48: And [G2532] Jehoshaphat prepared [G4160] ships [G3491] of Tarshish the [G3588] to go [G4198] unto [G1519] Ophir because of [G1752] the [G3588] gold [G5553]. And [G2532] they did not [G3756] go [G4198]; for [G3754] were destroyed [G4937] the [G3588] ships [G3491] in [G1722] Ezion Geber.
49: Then [G5119] said [G2036] Ahaziah son [G5207] of Ahab] to [G4314] Jehoshaphat, Let go [G4198] the [G3588] my servants [G1401][G1473] with [G3326] the [G3588] your servants [G1401][G1473]. And [G2532] did not [G3756] want it [G2309] Jehoshaphat].
50: And [G2532] Jehoshaphat slept [G2837] with [G3326] the [G3588] his fathers [G3962][G1473], and [G2532] they entombed [him [G2290] by [G3844] the [G3588] his fathers [G3962][G1473] in [G1722] city [G4172] of David the [G3588] his [fore] father [G3962][G1473]. And [G2532] reigned Jehoram son [G5207] of him [G1473] instead of him [G1473].
51: And [G2532] Ahaziah son [G5207] of Ahab reigned over [G1909] Israel in [G1722] Samaria. In [G1722] year [G2094] seventeenth of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, Ahaziah son [G5207] of Ahab reigned over [G1909] Israel in [G1722] Samaria two [G1417] years [G2094].
52: And [G2532] he acted [G4160] the [G3588] wickedly [G4190] before [G1726] Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] went [G4198] in [G1722] way [G3598] of Ahab the [G3588] his father [G3962][G1473], and [G2532] in [G1722] way [G3598] of Jezebel the [G3588] his mother [G3384][G1473], and [G2532] in [G1722] the [G3588] sins of house [G3624] of Jeroboam son [G5207] of Nebat, who [G3739] led Israel into sin the [G3588].
53: And [G2532] he served [G1398] to the [G3588] Baalim, and [G2532] did obeisance to [G4352] them [G1473], and [G2532] provoked to anger [G3949] the [G3588] Boss '[G2962] God '[G2316] of Israel, according to [G2596] all [G3956] what [G3745] did [G4160] the [G3588] his father [G3962][G1473].
