Revelation Chapter 9 - | Early Church Bible

1: And [G2532] the [G3588] fifth [G3991] word-conveyer (messenger) ' trumped [G4537]; and [G2532] I saw [G1492] a star from out of [G1537] the [G3588] raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772] falling [G4098] unto [G1519] the [G3588] land '[G1093]; and [G2532] was given [G1325] to him [G1473] the [G3588] key [G2807] of the [G3588] well [G5421] of the [G3588] abyss .
2: And [G2532] he opened the [G3588] well [G5421] of the [G3588] abyss , and [G2532] went up smoke [G2586] from out of [G1537] the [G3588] well [G5421], as [G5613] smoke [G2586] of a furnace [G2575] burning [G2545]. And [G2532] were darkened [G4654] the [G3588] sun [G2246] and [G2532] the [G3588] air by [G1537] the [G3588] smoke [G2586] of the [G3588] well [G5421].
3: And [G2532] out of [G1537] the [G3588] smoke [G2586] came forth [G1831] locusts unto [G1519] the [G3588] land '[G1093]; and [G2532] was given [G1325] to them [G1473] authority [G1849], as [G5613] have [G2192] authority [G1849] the [G3588] scorpions [G4651] of the [G3588] land '[G1093].
4: And [G2532] it was said [G4483] to them [G1473] that [G2443] they should not [G3361] injure the [G3588] grass [G5528] of the [G3588] land '[G1093], nor [G3761] any [G3956] green [thing] [G5515], nor [G3761] any [G3956] tree [G1186]; except for [G1508] the [G3588] men only [G3441], the ones who [G3748] have not [G3756][G2192] the [G3588] seal [G4973] of the [G3588] God '[G2316] upon [G1909] the [G3588]ir foreheads [G3359][G1473].
5: And [G2532] was given [G1325] to them [G1473] that [G2443] they should not [G3361] kill them [G1473], but that [G2443] they should be tormented months [G3376] five [G4002]; and [G2532] the [G3588]ir torment [G1473] [was] as [G5613] torment of a scorpion [G4651], whenever [G3752] it should smite [G3817] a man .
6: And [G2532] in [G1722] the [G3588] those days [G2250][G1565] will seek [G2212] the [G3588] men the [G3588] death [G2288], and [G2532] in no way will they find [G2147] it [G1473]; and [G2532] they will desire [G1937] to die , and [G2532] will flee [G5343] from them [G1473] the [G3588] death [G2288].
7: And [G2532] the [G3588] representations [G3667] of the [G3588] locusts [were] likened [G3664] to horses [G2462] being prepared [G2090] for [G1519] war [G4171]; and [G2532] upon [G1909] the [G3588]ir heads [G2776][G1473] as [G5613] crowns [G4735] golden [G5552], and [G2532] the [G3588]ir faces [G4383][G1473] as [G5613] faces [G4383] of men .
8: And [G2532] they had [G2192] hair [G2359] as [G5613] hair [G2359] of women [G1135], and [G2532] the [G3588]ir teeth [G3599][G1473] as [G5613] lions [G3023] were .
9: And [G2532] they had [G2192] chest [plates [G2382] as [G5613] chest [plates [G2382] of iron [G4603]; and [G2532] the [G3588] sound [G5456] of the [G3588]ir wings [G4420][G1473] [was] as [G5613] sound [G5456] chariots of horses [G2462] of many [G4183] running [G5143] to [G1519] war [G4171].
10: And [G2532] they have [G2192] tails [G3769] likened [G3664] to scorpions [G4651], and [G2532] stings [G2759], and [G2532] in [G1722] the [G3588]ir tails [G3769][G1473] authority [G1849] having [G2192] the [G3588] to injure the [G3588] men months [G3376] five [G4002].
11: They have [G2192] a king over [G1909] them [G1473] -- word-conveyer (messenger) ' of the [G3588] abyss . Name [G3686] of him [G1473] in Hebrew [is] Abaddon, and in [G1722][G1161] the [G3588] Greek name [G3686] he has [G2192] the [G3588] Apollyon.
12: The [G3588] woe [G3759] the [G3588] [one] [G1520] went forth , look [G2400], comes [G2064] still [G2089] two [G1417] woes [G3759] after [G3326] these [G3778].
13: And [G2532] the [G3588] sixth [G1622] word-conveyer (messenger) ' trumped [G4537]; and [G2532] I heard voice [G5456] one [G1520] from [G1537] the [G3588] four [G5064] horns [G2768] of the [G3588] altar [G2379] the [G3588] golden [G5552], of the [G3588] [one] before [G1799] the [G3588] God '[G2316],
14: saying [G3004] to the [G3588] sixth [G1622] word-conveyer (messenger) ', the [G3588] [one] having [G2192] the [G3588] trumpet [G4536], Loose [G3089] the [G3588] four [G5064] word-conveyers (messengers) ' the [G3588] being bound [G1210] at [G1909] the [G3588] river [G4215] the [G3588] great [G3173] Euphrates!
15: And [G2532] were loosened [G3089] the [G3588] four [G5064] word-conveyers (messengers) ', the [G3588] [ones] being prepared [G2090] for [G1519] the [G3588] hour [G5610], and [G2532] day [G2250], and [G2532] month [G3376], and [G2532] year [G1763], that [G2443] they should kill the [G3588] third [G5154] of the [G3588] men .
16: And [G2532] the [G3588] number of the [G3588] military [G4753] of the [G3588] horses [G2462] -- ten-thousands [G3461] of ten-thousands [G3461]; and [G2532] I heard the [G3588]ir number [G1473].
17: And [G2532] thus [G3779] I saw [G1492] the [G3588] horses [G2462] in [G1722] the [G3588] vision [G3706], and [G2532] the [G3588] [ones] sitting down [G2521] upon [G1909] them [G1473], having [G2192] chest [plates [G2382] of fiery [color [G4447], and [G2532] of blue [G5191], and [G2532] sulphurous [G2306]; and [G2532] the [G3588] heads [G2776] of the [G3588] horses [G2462] [were] as [G5613] heads [G2776] of lions [G3023], and [G2532] out of [G1537] the [G3588]ir mouths [G4750][G1473] went forth [G1607] fire [G4442], and [G2532] smoke [G2586], and [G2532] sulphur [G2303].
18: From the [G3588] three [G5140] plagues [G4127] these [G3778] were killed the [G3588] third [G5154] of the [G3588] men , by [G1537] the [G3588] fire [G4442], and [G2532] by [G1537] the [G3588] smoke [G2586], and [G2532] of the [G3588] sulphur [G2303] the [G3588] going forth [G1607] out of [G1537] the [G3588]ir mouths [G4750][G1473].
19: For the [G3588][G1063] authority [G1849] of the [G3588] horses [G2462] in [G1722] the [G3588]ir mouth [G4750][G1473] is and [G2532] in [G1722] the [G3588]ir tails [G3769][G1473]; for the [G3588] [G1063] their tails [G3769][G1473] [are] likened [G3664] to serpents [G3789], having [G2192] heads [G2776]; and [G2532] by [G1722] them [G1473] they injure .
20: And [G2532] the [G3588] rest [G3062] of the [G3588] men who [G3739] were not [G3756] killed by [G1722] the [G3588]se calamities [G4127][G3778] repented not [G3756][G3340] from [G1537] the [G3588] works [G2041] of the [G3588]ir hands [G5495][G1473], that [G2443] they should not [G3361] do obeisance to [G4352] the [G3588] demons [G1140], and [G2532] the [G3588] idols [G1497] -- the [G3588] golden [G5552], and [G2532] the [G3588] silver , and [G2532] the [G3588] brass [G5470], and [G2532] the [G3588] stones [G3035], and [G2532] the [G3588] wooden [G3585], which [G3739] neither [G3777] to see are able [G1410], nor [G3777] to hear , nor [G3777] to walk [G4043].
21: And [G2532] they repented not [G3756][G3340] of [G1537] the [G3588]ir murders [G5408][G1473], nor [G3777] of [G1537] the [G3588]ir sorceries [G5331][G1473], nor [G3777] of [G1537] the [G3588]ir harlotry [G4202][G1473], nor [G3777] of [G1537] the [G3588]ir thefts [G2809][G1473].
