Ecclesiastes Chapter 7 - | Early Church Bible

1: A good name [G3686] is above [G5228] oil [G1637] good , and [G2532] day [G2250] of the [G3588] death [G2288] above [G5228] day [G2250] of birth [G1078].
2: [It is] good to go [G4198] into [G1519] a house [G3624] of mourning [G3997], than [G2228] than [G3754] to go [G4198] into [G1519] a house [G3624] of a banquet [G4224]; in so far as [G2530] this [G3778] [is the] end [G5056] of every [G3956] man ; and [G2532] the [G3588] living [man [G2198] will give [G1325] good to [G1519] his heart [G2588][G1473].
3: Better [is] rage [G2372] than [G5228] laughter [G1071], for [G3754] by [G1722] hurt [G2549] of countenance [G4383] will be made better heart [G2588].
4: heart [G2588] of wise [G4680] [is] in [G1722] house [G3624] of mourning [G3997]; and [G2532] heart [G2588] of fools [is] in [G1722] house [G3624] of gladness [G2167].
5: [It is] good the [G3588] to hear reproach of wise [G4680], than [G5228] for a man to hear songs of fools .
6: As [G5613] sound [G5456] of the [G3588] thorn-bushes [burning] under [G5259] the [G3588] kettle , so [G3779] the [G3588] laughter [G1071], the [G3588] [one] of the [G3588] fools ; and [G2532] indeed [G1065] this [G3778] [is] folly [G3153].
7: For [G3754] the [G3588] extortion drives mad [G4064] wise man [G4680], and [G2532] destroys the [G3588] heart [G2588] magnanimity of of him '[G1473].
8: Better last [G2078] of words '[G3056] than [G5228] its beginning [G1473]; better lenient than [G5228] high [G5308] wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151].
9: You should not [G3361] hasten [G4692] in [G1722] your wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151][G1473] the [G3588] to be enraged [G2373], for [G3754] rage [G2372] in [G1722] bosom [G2859] of fools will rest .
10: You should not [G3361] say [G2036], What [G5100] happened [G1096] that [G3754] the [G3588] days [G2250] for the [G3588]mer [G4387] were good over [G5228] these [G3778]? for [G3754] not [G3756] in [G1722] wisdom [G4678] you asked [G1905] concerning [G4012] this [G3778].
11: [is] good Wisdom [G4678] with [G3326] an allotment and [G2532] abundance [G4050] to the [G3588] [ones] viewing [G2334] the [G3588] sun [G2246].
12: For [G3754] in [G1722] its shadow [G4639][G1473] the [G3588] wisdom [G4678] [is] as [G5613] shadow [G4639] of silver ; and [G2532] advantage [G4050] of knowledge [G1108] of the [G3588] wisdom [G4678] will restore to life [G2227] the [G3588] [one] having [G3844] it [G1473].
13: look [at] [G1492] the [G3588] actions [G4161] of the [G3588] God '[G2316]! For [G3754] who [G5100] will be able [G1410] the [G3588] to adorn [G2885] what [G3739] ever the [G3588] God '[G2316] should turn from [G1294] him [G1473]?
14: In [G1722] day [G2250] of goodness [G1473] live [G2198] in [G1722] good ! and [G2532] look [out [G1492] in [G1722] day [G2250] of evil [G2549]! look [at] [G1492]! and [G2532] indeed [G1065] with [G4862] one [G3778] harmony with these [G3778] the [G3588] caused [G4160] the [G3588] God '[G2316] concerning [G4012] speech [G2981], that [G2443] should not find [G3361][G2147] man after [G3694] him [G1473] anything [G3762].
15: All things I looked [at] [G1492] in [G1722] days [G2250] of my folly [G3153][G1473]. There is a just [man [G1342] being destroyed in [G1722] his justice [G1342][G1473], and [G2532] there is an impious [man abiding [G3306] in [G1722] his evil [G2549][G1473].
16: Do not [G3361] become [G1096] righteous [G1342] super [G4183], nor [G3366] discern [G4679] extra [G4053], lest at any time [G3379] you should be overwhelmed [G1605]!
17: You should not [be [G3361] impious super [G4183], and [G2532] do not [G3361] become [G1096] hard [G4642], that [G2443] you should not die [G3361] in [G1722][G3739] your time [G2540][G1473]!
18: [It is] good for the [G3588] you to hold fast [G1473] by [G1722] this [G3778]; and [G2532] indeed [G1065] off this [G3778] you should not [G3361] defile [G3392] the [G3588] your hand [G5495][G1473]. For [G3754] [to the] ones fearing [G5399] the [G3588] God '[G2316] all [things] will go forth [G1831] the [G3588][G3956].
19: the [G3588] Wisdom [G4678] will give help to the [G3588] wise one [G4680] over [G5228] ten [G1176] exercising authority [G1850], of the [G3588] [ones] being in [G1722] the [G3588] city [G4172].
20: For [G3754] man there is no [G3756] just [G1342] on [G1722] the [G3588] land '[G1093] who [G3739] will do [G4160] good and [G2532] will not [G3756] sin .
21: And [G2532] indeed [G1065] unto [G1519] all [G3956] words [G3056] which [G3739] they will speak [G2980], you should not [G3361] put them to [G5087] your heart [G2588][G1473], so that [G3704] you should not [G3361] hear the [G3588] your servant [G1401][G1473] cursing [G2672] you [G1473].
22: For [G3754] very often he will act wickedly against you [G1473], and [G2532] returning many [times [G4183] he will inflict [G2559] your heart [G2588][G1473]; that [G3754] as [G5613] also [G2532] indeed [G1065] you [G1473] cursed [G2672] others [G2087].
23: All [G3956] these [things] [G3778] I tested [G3985] in [G1722] the [G3588] wisdom [G4678]. I said [G2036], I will be discerning [G4679], but [G2532] it [G1473] was far from me [G1473].
24: Far [G3112] above [G5228] what [G3739] was , and [G2532] a deep depth -- who [G5100] will find [G2147] it [G1473]?
25: circled about [G2944] I [G1473] and [G2532] the [G3588] my heart [G2588][G1473] the [G3588] to know [G1097], and [G2532] the [G3588] to survey , and [G2532] the [G3588] to seek [G2212] wisdom [G4678], and [G2532] reckoning [of things [G5586], and [G2532] the [G3588] to know [G1097] impious man's foolishness , and [G2532] rioting , and [G2532] deviation .
26: And [G2532] I find [G2147][G1473] her [G1473] more bitter [G4089] than [G5228] death [G2288] -- with [G4862] the [G3588] woman [G1135] in which [G3748] is snares and [G2532] dragnets [G4522] her heart [G2588][G1473], [and] a bond [G1199] in [G1519] her hands [G5495][G1473]. [He that is] good before [G4253] face [G4383] of God '[G2316] will be delivered [G1807] from her [G1473]; and [G2532] one sinning will be seized [G4815] with [G1722] her [G1473].
27: look [at] [G1492]! this [G3778] I found [G2147], said [G2036] the [G3588] ecclesiastic , [counting] one [G1520] by the [G3588] [one] [G1520], to find [G2147] a device [G3053],
28: which [G3739] anxiously sought [G1934] the [G3588] soul [G5590] of me [G1473], and [G2532] I did not [G3756] find [G2147]. Even [G2532] man one [G1520] from out off a thousand [G5507] did I find [G2147]. And [G2532] a woman [G1135] among [G1722] all [G3956] these [G3778] I did not [G3756] find [G2147].
29: Except [G4133] look [at] [G1492]! this [G3778] I found [G2147], that [G3739] God dealt [G4160] the [G3588][G2316] with [G4862] the [G3588] man upright . And [G2532] they [G1473] sought [G2212] devices [G3053] many [G4183]. Who [G5100] knows [G1492] wise [G4680]? And [G2532] who [G5100] knows [G1492] loosening [G3080] of a saying [G4487]?
