Luke Chapter 24 - | Early Church Bible

1: And the [G3588][G1161] [day] one [G1520] of the [G3588] Sabbaths [G4521], dawn [G3722] at deep , they came [G2064] unto [G1909] the [G3588] tomb [G3418], bringing [G5342] which [G3739] they prepared [G2090] aromatics , and [G2532] some [others [G5100] with [G4862] them [G1473].
2: And they found [G2147][G1161] the [G3588] stone [G3037] having been rolled away from the [G3588] sepluchre [G3419].
3: And [G2532] having entered [G1525], they did not [G3756] find [G2147] the [G3588] body [G4983] of the [G3588] Boss '[G2962] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]).
4: And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] in [G1722] the [G3588] being perplexed [G1280] of them [G1473] on account of [G4012] this [G3778], that [G2532] look [G2400], two [G1417] men stood by [G2186] them [G1473] in [G1722] attire [G2067] flashing lightning .
5: thrown into fear [G1719] And [G1161] being [G1096] of their [G1473], and [G2532] leaning [G2827] the [G3588] face [G4383] unto [G1519] the [G3588] land '[G1093], they said [G2036] to [G4314] them [G1473], Why [G5100] do you seek [G2212] the [G3588] living [G2198] with [G3326] the [G3588] dead [G3498]?
6: He not [G3756] is here [G5602], but arisen [G1453]. Remember [G3403]! as [G5613] he spoke [G2980] to you [G1473] still [G2089] being in [G1722] the [G3588] Galilee.
7: Saying [G3004] that [G3754], It is necessary [G1163] for the [G3588] son [G5207] of the [G3588] man to be delivered up [G3860] into [G1519] hands [G5495] of men sinful , and [G2532] to be crucified [G4717], and [G2532] on the [G3588] third [G5154] day [G2250] to rise up .
8: And [G2532] they remembered [G3403] the [G3588] sayings [G4487] of him [G1473].
9: And [G2532] they returned [G5290] from the [G3588] sepulchre [G3419], to report all [G3956] these [things] [G3778] to the [G3588] eleven [G1733], and [G2532] to all [G3956] the [G3588] rest [G3062].
10: And they were [G1161] the [G3588] Magdalene -- Mary, and [G2532] Joanna, and [G2532] Mary of James, and [G2532] the [G3588] rest [G3062] with [G4862] them [G1473], the ones who [G3739] spoke [G3004] to [G4314] the [G3588] sent ones (apostles) ' these [things] [G3778].
11: And [G2532] appeared [G5316] before [G1799] them [G1473] as [G5616] nonsense [G3026] the [G3588] words [G4487] of them [G1473], and [G2532] they disbelieved them [G1473].
12: But the [G3588][G1161] Peter having risen up , ran [G5143] unto [G1909] the [G3588] sepulchre [G3419]; and [G2532] having leaned over [G3879], he sees the [G3588] linen bands [G3608] being situated [G2749] alone [G3441], and [G2532] he went forth to his own [place] [G4314][G1438] wondering at [G2296] the [thing] [G3588] having taken place [G1096].
13: And [G2532] look [G2400], two [G1417] of [G1537] them [G1473] were going [G4198] on [G1722] [same] of it [G1473] the [G3588] day [G2250] unto [G1519] a town [G2968] at a distance of stadiums [G4712] sixty [G1835] from Jerusalem -- the [G3739] name [G3686] [is] Emmaus.
14: And [G2532] they [G1473] were consorting [G3656] with [G4314] one another concerning [G4012] all [G3956] the [G3588] [things] coming to pass [G4819] these [G3778].
15: And [G2532] it happened [G1096] during [G1722] the [G3588]ir consorting [G3656][G1473] and [G2532] debating [G4802], that [G2532] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) himself [G1473] the [G3588] having approached [G1448], went with [G4848] them [G1473].
16: And the [G3588]ir eyes [G3788][G1473] were kept [G2902] the [G3588] to not [G3361] recognize [G1921] him [G1473].
17: And he said [G2036][G1161] to [G4314] them [G1473], What [G5100] the [G3588] words [G3056] [are] these [G3778] which [G3739] you argue with [G4314] one another [while] walking [G4043], and [G2532] are looking downcast [G4659]?
18: And answering [G1161] the [G3588] [one] [G1520] whose [G3739] name [G3686] [was] Cleopas, said [G2036] to [G4314] him [G1473], You [G1473] alone [G3441] sojourn [G3939] in Jerusalem, and [G2532] you do not [G3756] know [G1097] the [things] [G3588] taking place [G1096] in [G1722] it [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588]se days [G2250][G3778]?
19: And [G2532] he said [G2036] to them [G1473], What kind [G4169]? And the [G3588][G1161] they said [G2036] to him [G1473], the [things] [G3588] concerning [G4012] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) the [G3588] Nazarene, who [G3739] was [G1096] a man , a prophet [G4396], mighty [G1415] in [G1722] work [G2041] and [G2532] word [G3056] before [G1726] the [G3588] God '[G2316] and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] people [G2992].
20: And how that [G3704][G5037] delivered him up [G3860][G1473] the [G3588] chief priests and [G2532] the [G3588] our rulers [G1473] unto [G1519] judgment [G2917] of death [G2288], and [G2532] they crucified [G4717] him [G1473].
21: But we [G1473][G1161] were hoping [G1679] that [G3754] he [G1473] is the [G3588] [one] about [G3195] to ransom [G3084] the [G3588] Israel. But indeed [G1065] with [G4862] all [G3956] these [things] [G3778], this third [G5154][G3778] day [G2250] conveys ' [in] today [G4594], from which [time] [G3739] these [things] [G3778] took place [G1096].
22: But also [G2532] certain women [G1135][G5100] from [G1537] us [G1473] amazed [G1839] us [G1473], happening [G1096] at daybreak [G3721] unto [G1909] the [G3588] sepulchre [G3419];
23: and [G2532] not [G3361] having found [G2147] the [G3588] his body [G4983][G1473], they came [G2064] saying [G3004] also [G2532] a [supernatural] appearing [G3701] of word-conveyers (messengers) ' to have seen [G3708], ones who [G3739] say [G3004] him [G1473] to be living [G2198].
24: And [G2532] went forth some [G5100] of the [G3588] [ones] with [G4862] us [G1473] unto [G1909] the [G3588] sepulchre [G3419], and [G2532] found [G2147] [it] so [G3779] as [G2531] also [G2532] the [G3588] women [G1135] said [G2036]; but him [G1473][G1161] they did not [G3756] see [G1492].
25: And [G2532] he [G1473] said [G2036] to [G4314] them [G1473], O [G5599] unthinking ones and [G2532] slow [G1021] the [G3588] in heart [G2588] the [G3588] to trust '[G4100] upon [G1909] all [G3956] which [G3739] spoke [G2980] the [G3588] prophets [G4396].
26: Is it not [G3780] these [things] [G3778] necessary [G1163] to suffer [G3958] the [G3588] [one] Anointed '[G5547], and [G2532] to enter [G1525] into [G1519] the [G3588] glory [G1391] of him [G1473]?
27: And [G2532] beginning from Moses, and [G2532] from all [G3956] of the [G3588] prophets [G4396], he interpreted [G1329] to them [G1473] in [G1722] all [G3956] the [G3588] scriptures [G1124] the [things] [G3588] concerning [G4012] himself [G1438].
28: And [G2532] they approached [G1448] unto [G1519] the [G3588] town [G2968] where [G3739] they were going [G4198]. And [G2532] he [G1473] pretended [G4364] farther [G4206] to be going [G4198].
29: And [G2532] they pressured [G3849] him [G1473], saying [G3004], Stay [G3306] with [G3326] us [G1473], for [G3754] towards [G4314] evening [G2073] it is , and [G2532] has declined [G2827] the [G3588] day [G2250]. And [G2532] he entered [G1525] the [G3588] to stay [G3306] with [G4862] them [G1473].
30: And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] in [G1722] the [G3588] his lying down to eat [G2625][G1473] with [G3326] them [G1473], having taken [G2983] the [G3588] bread , he blessed [G2127], and [G2532] having broken [G2806] gave [it] over [G1929] to them [G1473].
31: And their [G1473][G1161] were opened wide [G1272] the [G3588] eyes [G3788], and [G2532] they recognized [G1921] him [G1473]. And [G2532] he [G1473] invisible became [G1096] to them [G1473].
32: And [G2532] they said [G2036] to [G4314] one another , not [G3780] the [G3588] our heart [G2588][G1473] burning [G2545] Was in [G1722] us [G1473] as [G5613] he was speaking [G2980] to us [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] way [G3598], and [G2532] as [G5613] he opened wide [G1272] to us [G1473] the [G3588] scriptures [G1124]?
33: And [G2532] rising up the same [G1473] the [G3588] hour [G5610], they returned [G5290] into [G1519] Jerusalem, and [G2532] they found [G2147] being gathered together [G4867] the [G3588] eleven [G1733], and [G2532] the [G3588] [ones] with [G4862] them [G1473],
34: saying [G3004] that [G3754], is risen [G1453] the [G3588] Boss '[G2962] really [G3689], and [G2532] he appeared [G3708] to Simon.
35: And [G2532] they [G1473] described [G1834] the [things] [G3588] in [G1722] the [G3588] way [G3598], and [G2532] how [G5613] he was made known [G1097] to them [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] breaking [G2800] of the [G3588] bread .
36: these [things] [G3778] And [G1161] of their [G1473] speaking [G2980], Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) himself [G1473] the [G3588] stood [G2476] in [G1722] midst [G3319] of them [G1473], and [G2532] says [G3004] to them [G1473], Peace [G1515] to you [G1473].
37: And being terrified [G4422][G1161], and [G2532] thrown into fear [G1719] becoming [G1096], they thought [G1380] a wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151] they viewed [G2334].
38: And [G2532] he said [G2036] to them [G1473], Why [G5100] are you disturbed [G5015]? and [G2532] why [G1302] do thoughts [G1261] go up into [G1722] the [G3588] your hearts [G2588][G1473]?
39: look [at] [G1492] the [G3588] my hands [G5495][G1473] and [G2532] the [G3588] my feet [G4228][G1473], that [G3754] he [G1473] I [G1473] am ! Handle [G5584] me [G1473] and [G2532] see [G1492]! for [G3754] a wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151] flesh [G4561] and [G2532] bones [G3747] does not [G3756] have [G2192], as [G2531] you view me [G1473][G2334] having [G2192].
40: And [G2532] this [G3778] having said [G2036], he displayed [G1925] to them [G1473] [his the [G3588] hands [G5495] and [G2532] [his the [G3588] feet [G4228].
41: And yet [G2089][G1161] of their disbelieving [G1473] from the [G3588] joy [G5479], and [G2532] marveling [G2296], he said [G2036] to them [G1473], Have you [G2192] anything [G5100] eatable [G1034] here [G1759]?
42: And the [G3588][G1161] they gave over [G1929] to him [G1473] fish [G2486] of a roasted [G3702] part [G3313], and [G2532] some from a bee's [G3193] honeycomb [G2781].
43: And [G2532] having taken [G2983] before [G1799] them [G1473], he ate [G2068].
44: And he said [G2036][G1161] to them [G1473], These [are [G3778] the [G3588] words [G3056] which [G3739] I spoke [G2980] to [G4314] you [G1473] while still [G2089] being with [G4862] you [G1473], that [G3754] it is necessary [G1163] to fulfill [G4137] all [G3956] the [things] [G3588] being written [G1125] in [G1722] the [G3588] law [G3551] of Moses, and [G2532] prophets [G4396], and [G2532] Psalms [G5568], concerning [G4012] me [G1473].
45: Then [G5119] he opened wide [G1272] their [G1473] the [G3588] mind [G3563] the [G3588] to perceive [G4920] the [G3588] scriptures [G1124].
46: And [G2532] he said [G2036] to them [G1473] that [G3754], Thus [G3779] it has been written [G1125], and [G2532] thus [G3779] it is necessary for [G1163] to suffer [G3958] the [G3588] [one] Anointed '[G5547], and [G2532] to be raised up from [G1537] dead [G3498] in the [G3588] third [G5154] day [G2250];
47: and [G2532] to be proclaimed [G2784] in [G1909] the [G3588] name [G3686] of him [G1473] repentance [G3341] and [G2532] release of sins unto [G1519] all [G3956] the [G3588] tradition-peoples (ethnics) '[G1484], beginning from Jerusalem.
48: And you [G1473][G1161] are witnesses [G3144] of these [things] [G3778].
49: And [G2532] look [G2400], I [G1473] send the [G3588] promise [G1860] of the [G3588] father [G3962] of me [G1473] unto [G1909] you [G1473]. But you [G1473][G1161] sit down [G2523] in [G1722] the [G3588] city [G4172] of Jerusalem! until [G2193] of which [time] [G3739] you will be clothed with [G1746] power [G1411] of [G1537] height [G5311].
50: And he led [G1806][G1161] them [G1473] outside [G1854] as far as [G2193] unto [G1519] Bethany. And [G2532] having lifted up [G1869] the [G3588] his hands [G5495][G1473], he blessed [G2127] them [G1473].
51: And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] in [G1722] the [G3588] his blessing [G2127][G1473] them [G1473], he was parted [G1339] from them [G1473], and [G2532] was borne into [G1519] the [G3588] raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772].
52: And [G2532] they [G1473] having done obeisance to [G4352] him [G1473], returned [G5290] unto [G1519] Jerusalem with [G3326] joy [G5479] great [G3173].
53: And [G2532] they were always [G1275] in [G1722] the [G3588] temple [G2413], praising and [G2532] blessing [G2127] the [G3588] God '[G2316]. Amen .
