1: [was years [old [G2094] seven [G2033] Joash] in [G1722] the [G3588] his taking reign [G1473], and [G2532] forty [G5062] years [G2094] he reigned in [G1722] Jerusalem. And [G2532] name [G3686] of the [G3588] his mother [G3384][G1473] [was] Zibeah from [G1537] Beer-sheba.
2: And [G2532] Joash did [G4160] the [G3588] upright [thing] before [G1799] Boss '[G2962] all [G3956] the [G3588] days [G2250] of Jehoiada the [G3588] priest [G2409].
3: And [G2532] Jehoiada took [G2983] two [G1417] wives [G1135] to himself [G1438], and [G2532] he engendered [G1080] sons [G5207] and [G2532] daughters [G2364].
4: And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] after [G3326] these [things] [G3778], that [G2532] it came [G1096] upon [G1909] heart [G2588] of Joash to repair the [G3588] house [G3624] of Boss '[G2962].
5: And [G2532] he gathered [G4863] the [G3588] priests [G2409] and [G2532] the [G3588] Levites, and [G2532] he said [G2036] to them [G1473], Go forth [G1831] into [G1519] the [G3588] cities [G4172] of Judah, and [G2532] gather [G4863] from all [G3956] Israel money the [G3588] to repair [G2901] the [G3588] house [G3624] of Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of you [G1473] until fit [G2425], year [G1763] by [G2596] year [G1763]! And [G2532] hasten [G4692] to speak [G2980]! And [G2532] hastened not [G3756][G4692] the [G3588] Levites].
6: And [G2532] called [G2564] the [G3588] king the [G3588] Jehoiada the [G3588] ruler , and [G2532] he said [G2036] to him [G1473], Why did [G1302] you not [G3756] require [G1567] concerning [G4012] the [G3588] Levites, so as the [G3588] to carry in [G1533] from Judah and [G2532] Jerusalem the [G3588] adjudged [G2919] concern by [G5259] Moses man of the [G3588] God '[G2316], for [G3754] assembly of the [G3588] Israel in [G1519] the [G3588] tent [G4633] of the [G3588] testimony [G3142]?
7: For [G3754] Athaliah was lawless , and [G2532] the [G3588] her sons [G5207][G1473] tore down the [G3588] house [G3624] of the [G3588] God '[G2316]; and [G2532] also [G1065] all [G3956] the [G3588] holy [things] of house [G3624] of Boss '[G2962] they appointed [G4160] to the [G3588] Baals.
8: And [G2532] said [G2036] the [G3588] king , Let there be [G1096] a container [G1101], and [G2532] let it be put [G5087] at [G1722] the [G3588] gate [G4439] of the [G3588] house [G3624] of Boss '[G2962] outside [G1854]!
9: And [G2532] let them proclaim [G2784] in [G1722] Judah and [G2532] in [G1722] Jerusalem, to carry in [G1533] to the [G3588] Boss '[G2962] as [G2531] said [G2036] Moses servant [G3816] of the [G3588] God '[G2316] unto [G1909] the [G3588] Israel in [G1722] the [G3588] wilderness [G2048].
10: And [G2532] were glad [G2165] all [G3956] rulers and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] people [G2992]; and [G2532] they carried in [G1533], and [G2532] cast [G1685] into [G1519] the [G3588] container [G1101], until [G2193] of which [G3739] it was filled [G4137].
11: And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] in [G1722] the [G3588] time [G2540] the [G3588] to bring in [G5342] the [G3588] container [G1101] to [G4314] the [G3588] superintendents of the [G3588] king by [G1223] hand [G5495] of the [G3588] Levites, that [G2532] when [G2259] they looked [at] [G1492] that [G3754] was superabundant [G4121] the [G3588] money , that [G2532] came [G2064] the [G3588] scholar (scribe) '[G1122] (sofer [H5613]) of the [G3588] king , and [G2532] the [G3588] superintendent of the [G3588] great [G3173] priest [G2409]; and [G2532] they emptied out the [G3588] container [G1101], and [G2532] they lifted and [G2532] placed [G2525] it [G1473] upon [G1909] the [G3588] place [G5117] of it [G1473]. Thus [G3779] they did [G4160] day [G2250] by [G1537] day [G2250], and [G2532] they gathered [G4863] money much [G4183].
12: And [G2532] gave [G1325] it [G1473] the [G3588] king and [G2532] Jehoiada the [G3588] priest [G2409] to the [G3588] [ones] doing [G4160] the [G3588] works [G2041] for [G1519] work [G2039] of house [G3624] of Boss '[G2962]. And [G2532] they hired [G3409] quarriers and [G2532] fabricators [G5045] to repair the [G3588] house [G3624] of Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] braziers [G5471] of iron [G4604] and [G2532] of brass [G5475] the [G3588] to strengthen [G2901] the [G3588] house [G3624] of Boss '[G2962].
13: And [G2532] did so [G4160] the [G3588] [ones] doing [G4160] the [G3588] works [G2041], and [G2532] there went up length [G3372] of the [G3588] works [G2041] by [G1722] their hands [G5495][G1473]. And [G2532] they reestablished the [G3588] house [G3624] of Boss '[G2962] in [G1909] the [G3588] its position [G4714][G1473], and [G2532] they strengthened it [G1765].
14: And [G2532] as [G5613] they completed [G4931], they brought [G5342] to [G4314] the [G3588] king and [G2532] to [G4314] Jehoiada the [G3588] rest [G2645] of the [G3588] money , and [G2532] they made [G4160] [with] it [G1473] items [G4632] for [G1519] house [G3624] of Boss '[G2962], items [G4632] for ministry [G3010], and [G2532] of the [G3588] whole burnt-offerings [G3646], and [G2532] incense pans , and [G2532] vessels [G4632] gold [G5552] and [G2532] silver . And [G2532] they offered whole burnt-offerings in [G1722] the [G3588] house [G3624] of Boss '[G2962] continually [G1275] all [G3956] the [G3588] days [G2250] of Jehoiada.
15: And [G2532] Jehoiada grew old [G1095], and [G2532] was full [G4134] of days [G2250]. And [G2532] he came to an end [G5053] a son [G5207] being a hundred [G1540] and [G2532] thirty [G5144] years [G2094] at [G1722] the [G3588] his coming to an end [G5053][G1473].
16: And [G2532] they entombed [G2290] him [G1473] in [G1722] city [G4172] of David with [G3326] the [G3588] kings , for [G3754] he did [G4160] goodness with [G3326] Israel, and [G2532] with [G3326] the [G3588] God '[G2316], and [G2532] the [G3588] his house [G3624][G1473].
17: And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] after [G3326] the [G3588] decease [G5054] of Jehoiada, entered [G1525] the [G3588] rulers of Judah] and [G2532] did obeisance to [G4352] the [G3588] king . Then [G5119] heeded [G1873] the [G3588] king them [G1473].
18: And [G2532] they abandoned [G1459] the [G3588] house [G3624] of Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of the [G3588]ir fathers [G3962][G1473], and [G2532] they served [G3000] [to the [G3588] Ashtoreth and [G2532] the [G3588] idols [G1497]. And [G2532] there came [G1096] anger [G3709] against [G1909] Judah and [G2532] against [G1909] Jerusalem in [G1722] the [G3588]ir trespass [G1473].
19: And [G2532] he sent to [G4314] them [G1473] prophets [G4396] to turn [G1994] them [G1473] to [G4314] Boss '[G2962]. And [G2532] they testified [G1263] to them [G1473], and [G2532] they hearkened not [G3756].
20: And [G2532] wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151] of God '[G2316] was put on [G1746] the [G3588] Zechariah the [G3588] [son of the [G3588] Jehoiada the [G3588] priest [G2409], and [G2532] he rose above [G1883] the [G3588] people [G2992], and [G2532] said [G2036] to them [G1473], Thus [G3592] says [G3004] Boss '[G2962], Why [G2444] do you [G1473] pass by [G3899] the [G3588] commandments [G1785] of Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] your way will not prosper [G3756][G2137]? For [G3754] you abandoned [G1459] the [G3588] Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] he will abandon [G1459] you [G1473].
21: And [G2532] they assailed [G2007] against him [G1473], and [G2532] stoned [G3036] him [G1473] with stones [G3037] by [G1223] command [G1785] of Joash the [G3588] king in [G1722] courtyard of house [G3624] of Boss '[G2962].
22: And [G2532] did not [G3756] remember [G3403] Joash the [G3588] king the [G3588] compassion [G1656] of which [G3739] performed [G4160] Jehoiada the [G3588] his father [G3962][G1473] with [G3326] him [G1473], and [G2532] he put to death [G2289] the [G3588] son [G5207] of him [G1473]. And [G2532] as [G5613] he died , he said [G2036], BOSS look [at] [G1492][G2962] even [G2532] to judge [G2919]!
23: And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] at [G1519] the [G3588] completion [G4930] of the [G3588] year [G1763], went up against [G1909] him [G1473] force [G1411] of Syria], and [G2532] came [G2064] against [G1909] Judah, and [G2532] against [G1909] Jerusalem, and [G2532] they utterly destroyed [G2704] all [G3956] the [G3588] rulers of the [G3588] people [G2992] from among [G1537] the [G3588] people [G2992]; and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588]ir spoils [G4661][G1473] they sent to the [G3588] king of Damascus.
24: For [G3754] with [G1722] a few [G3641] men came [G3854] force [G1411] of Syria], but [G2532] the [G3588] God '[G2316] delivered up [G3860] into [G1519] the [G3588]ir hands [G5495][G1473] force [G1411] vast [G4183] an exceedingly [G4970], for [G3754] they abandoned [G1459] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of the [G3588]ir fathers [G3962][G1473]. And [G2532] with [G3326] Joash they executed [G4160] judgments [G2917].
25: And [G2532] after [G3326] the [G3588]ir going forth [G1473] from him [G1473], in [G1722] the [G3588] abandoning [G1459] him [G1473] with [G1722] infirmities [G3119] great [G3173], that [G2532] assailed [G2007] against him [G1473] the [G3588] his servants [G3816][G1473] because of [G1722] blood of the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Jehoiada the [G3588] priest [G2409]; and [G2532] they killed [G2289] him [G1473] upon [G1909] the [G3588] his bed [G2825][G1473], and [G2532] he died . And [G2532] they entombed [G2290] him [G1473] in [G1722] city [G4172] of David, but [G2532] they did not [G3756] entomb [G2290] him [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] tomb [G5028] of the [G3588] kings .
26: And [G2532] the [G3588] [ones] assailing [G2007] against [G1909] him [G1473] -- Zabad son [G5207] of Shimeath the [G3588] Ammonitess, and [G2532] Jehozabad son [G5207] of Shimrith the [G3588] Moabitess.
27: And [G2532] his sons [G5207][G1473], and [G2532] greatest [G4183] concerns about [G2596] him [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] groundwork of house [G3624] of the [G3588] God '[G2316], and [G2532] the [G3588] rest [G3062], look [G2400], it is written [G1125] upon [G1909] the [G3588] writing [G1124] of scroll of the [G3588] kings . And [G2532] reigned Amaziah son [G5207] of him [G1473] instead of him [G1473].
