Joshua Chapter 1 - | Early Church Bible

1: And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] after [G3326] the [G3588] decease [G5054] of Moses servant [G1401] of Boss '[G2962], that [G2532] BOSS spoke [G2036][G2962] [to the [G3588] Joshua son [G5207] of Nun, the [G3588] aid of Moses, saying [G3004],
2: Moses, the [G3588] my attendant [G2324][G1473] has come to an end [G5053]; now [G3568] then [G3767] rising up , pass over [G1224] the [G3588] Jordan! you [G1473], and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] this people [G2992][G3778], into [G1519] the [G3588] land '[G1093] which [G3739] I [G1473] give [G1325] to them [G1473].
3: Every [G3956] the [G3588] place [G5117] upon [G1909] which [G3739] ever you should mount [G1910] the [G3588] track [G2487] of the [G3588] your feet [G4228][G1473], to you [G1473] I will give [G1325] it [G1473], in which [G3739] manner [G5158] I spoke [G2046] the [G3588] to Moses.
4: The [G3588] wilderness [G2048] and [G2532] the [G3588] Antilebanon unto [G2193] the [G3588] river [G4215] the [G3588] great [G3173], river [G4215] Euphrates, all [G3956] land '[G1093] of Hittites, and [G2532] unto [G2193] the [G3588] sea [G2281] the [G3588] great [G3173] from [of the] sun [G2246] descent [G1424] will be the [G3588] your boundaries [G3725][G1473].
5: will not [G3756] withstand A man before [G2714] you [G1473] all [G3956] the [G3588] days [G2250] of the [G3588] your life [G2222][G1473]. And [G2532] as [G5618] I was with [G3326] Moses, so [G3779] I will be also [G2532] with [G3326] you [G1473], and [G2532] I will not abandon [G3756][G1459] you [G1473], nor [G3761] will I neglect you [G1473].
6: Be strong [G2480] and [G2532] manly ! for you [G1473][G1063] will divide up the [G3588] to this people [G2992][G3778] the [G3588] land '[G1093] which [G3739] I swore by an oath [G3660] [to the [G3588] your fathers [G3962][G1473] to give [G1325] to them [G1473].
7: Be strong [G2480] then [G3767] and [G2532] manly ! to guard [G5442] and [G2532] to do [G4160] in so far as [G2530] I gave charge [G1781][G1473] Moses the [G3588] my servant [G3816][G1473]. And [G2532] do not [G3756] turn aside [G1578] from them [G1473] to [G1519] right [G1188] or [G2228] to [G1519] left ! that [G2443] you should perceive [G4920] in [G1722] all [G3956] what [G3739] ever [G1437] you should act on [G4238].
8: And [G2532] will not [G3756] leave the [G3588] book of the [G3588] law [G3551] this [G3778] from [G1537] the [G3588] your mouth [G4750][G1473], and [G2532] you will meditate [G3191] in [G1722] it [G1473] day [G2250] and [G2532] night [G3571], that [G2443] you should perceive [G4920] to do [G4160] all [G3956] the [things] [G3588] written [G1125] in [G1722] it [G1473]. Then [G5119] you will prosper [G2137] the [G3588] your ways [G3598][G1473], and [G2532] then [G5119] you will perceive [G4920].
9: look [G2400], I give charge [G1781] to you [G1473]; be strong [G2480] and [G2532] be manly ! You should not [G3361] be timid [G1168], nor [G3366] should you be terrified [G4422], for [G3754] [is] with [G3326] you [G1473] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] your God '[G2316][G1473] in [G1519] every [G3956] place [G5117] where [G3739] ever [G1437] you should go [G4198].
10: And [G2532] Joshua gave charge [G1781] to the [G3588] scholars (scribes) '[G1122] (soferim [H5613]) of the [G3588] people [G2992], saying [G3004],
11: Enter [G1525] in [G2596] midst [G3319] of the [G3588] camp [G3925] of the [G3588] people [G2992], and [G2532] give charge [G1781] to the [G3588] people [G2992]! saying [G3004], Prepare [G2090] provisions [G1979]! for [G3754] yet [G2089] [in] three [G5140] days [G2250] even [G2532] you [G1473] pass over [G1224] the [G3588] this Jordan [G3778], entering [G1525] to take control [G2722] [of] the [G3588] land '[G1093] which [G3739] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of the [G3588] your fathers [G3962][G1473] gives [G1325] to you [G1473].
12: And [G2532] the [G3588] to Reuben, and [G2532] [to the [G3588] Gad, and [G2532] to the [G3588] half [G2255] tribe [G5443] of Manasseh, Joshua said [G2036],
13: Remember [G3403] the [G3588] word [G4487] of Boss '[G2962]! which [G3739] gave charge [G1781] to you [G1473] Moses the [G3588] servant [G3816] [of the] Boss '[G2962], saying [G3004], Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of you [G1473] rested [G2664] you [G1473], and [G2532] gave [G1325] to you [G1473] the [G3588] this land '[G1093][G3778].
14: the [G3588] Your wives [G1135][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] your children [G3813][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] cattle [G2934] of you [G1473] -- let them dwell [G2730] in [G1722] the [G3588] land '[G1093] which [G3739] gave [G1325] to you [G1473] Moses] on the other side [G4008] of the [G3588] Jordan! And you [G1473][G1161] will pass over [G1224] well-equipped prior to [G4387] the [G3588] your brothers [G1473], every one [G3956] the [G3588] being strong [G2480], and [G2532] you will fight along with them [G1473],
15: until [G2193] whenever should rest [G2664] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] your God '[G2316][G1473] the [G3588] your brothers [G1473], as [G5618] also [G2532] you [G1473]; and so [G2532] they will be heir [G2816] also [G2532] to this [G3778] the [G3588] land '[G1093] which [G3739] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of you [G1473] gives [G1325] to them [G1473]. Then [G2532] you will go forth each [G1538] unto [G1519] the [G3588] his own inheritance [G2817][G1438], which [G3739] gave [G1325] to you [G1473] Moses] on [G1722] the [G3588] other side [G4008] of the [G3588] Jordan from east sun [G2246].
16: And [G2532] answering [to the [G3588] Joshua, they said [G2036], All [G3956] as much [G3745] as [G1437] you should give charge [G1781] to us [G1473] we will do [G4160], and [G2532] into [G1519] every [G3956] place [G5117] where [G3739] ever [G1437] you should send us [G1473], we will go [G4198].
17: According to [G2596] all [G3956] as much as [G3745] we hearkened to Moses, we will hearken to you [G1473]. Furthermore [G4133] let be Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] our God '[G2316][G1473] with [G3326] you [G1473], in which [G3739] manner [G5158] he was with [G3326] Moses!
18: And the [G3588][G1161] man who [G3739] ever should resist you [G1473], and [G2532] who [G3739] ever should not [G3361] hearken to the [G3588] your words [G4487][G1473], in so far [G2530] as you should give charge [G1781] to him [G1473], let him die ! But be strong [G2480] and [G2532] be manly !
