1: And [G2532] there approached [G1448] the [G3588] days [G2250] for David the [G3588] himself to die [G1473]; and [G2532] he gave charge [G1781] [to the [G3588] son [G5207] of him [G1473] to Solomon, saying [G3004],
2: I [G1473] am going [G4198] in [G1722] way [G3598] of all [G3956] the [G3588] land '[G1093], and [G2532] you will be strong [G2480], and [G2532] you will be a [G1519] man .
3: And [G2532] you will guard [G5442] the [G3588] watch [G5438] of Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of you [G1473], the [G3588] to go [G4198] in [G1722] the [G3588] his ways [G3598][G1473], to guard [G5442] the [G3588] commandments [G1785] of him [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] ordinances [G1345], and [G2532] the [G3588] judgments [G2917], and [G2532] the [G3588] his testimonies [G3142][G1473], as [G2531] written [G1125] in [G1722] the [G3588] law [G3551] of Moses; that [G2443] you should perceive [G4920] all [G3956] what [G3739] you will do [G4160], and [G2532] everywhere of which [G3739] ever you should have paid attention [G1914] there [G1563].
4: So that [G3704] BOSS should establish [G2476][G2962] the [G3588] word [G3056] of him [G1473] which [G3739] he spoke [G2980] concerning [G4012] me [G1473], saying [G3004], If [G1437] should guard [G5442] the [G3588] your sons [G5207][G1473] the [G3588]ir way [G3598][G1473], the [G3588] to go [G4198] before [G1799] me [G1473] in [G1722] truth , with [G1722] whole [G3650] heart [G2588] their [G1473], and [G2532] with [G1722] whole [G3650] soul [G5590] their [G1473], saying [G3004], There will not be lifted away [G3756][G1808] to you [G1473] a man from the [G3588] throne [G2362] of Israel.
5: And [G2532] now [G3568] you [G1473] know [G1492] what [G3739] did [G4160] to me [G1473] Joab son [G5207] of Zeruiah], and [G2532] what [G3739] he did [G4160] to the [G3588] two [G1417] rulers of for the [G3588]ces [G1411] of Israel -the [G3588] Abner son [G5207] of Ner, and [G2532] the [G3588] Amasa son [G5207] of Jether; and [G2532] he killed them [G1473], and [G2532] ordered up [G5021] the [G3588] blood of war [G4171] for [G1722] peace [G1515], and [G2532] put [G1325] blood innocent on [G1722] the [G3588] his belt [G2223][G1473], the [G3588] [one] on [G1722] the [G3588] his loin [G3751][G1473], and [G2532] on [G1722] the [G3588] his sandal [G5266][G1473], the [G3588] [one] on [G1722] the [G3588] his foot [G4228][G1473].
6: And [G2532] you will do [G4160] according to [G2596] the [G3588] your wisdom [G4678][G1473], and [G2532] you will not [G3756] lead down [G2609] the [G3588] his gray hair [G1473] in [G1722] peace [G1515] into [G1519] Hades .
7: And [G2532] to the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Barzillai the [G3588] Gileadite you will have [G4160] compassion [G1656], and [G2532] they will be at [G1722] the [G3588] eating [G2068] of the [G3588] your table [G5132][G1473], for [G3754] so [G3779] they drew near [G1448] to me [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] my fleeing [G5343][G1473] from [G1537] face [G4383] of the [G3588] your brother [G1473] of Absalom.
8: And [G2532] look [G2400], [there is] with [G3326] you [G1473] Shimei son [G5207] of Gera, son [G5207] of the [G3588] Benjamite from [G1537] Bahurim. And [G2532] he [G1473] cursed [G2672] me [G1473] curse [G2671] a grievous in [G1722] the [G3588] day [G2250] in which [G3739] I went [G4198] into [G1519] Camps [G3925]. And [G2532] he [G1473] went down [G2597] for [G1519] meeting me [G1473] at [G1909] the [G3588] Jordan, and [G2532] I swore by an oath [G3660] to him [G1473] by [G1722] Boss '[G2962], saying [G3004], I will not put to death [G1487][G2289] you [G1473] by [G1722] broadsword [G4501].
9: And [G2532] you will in no way acquit him [G1473], for [G3754] man a wise [G4680] you are [G1473], and [G2532] you will know [G1097] what [G3739] to do [G4160] with him [G1473], and [G2532] you will lead down [G2609] the [G3588] his gray hair [G1473] with [G1722] blood into [G1519] Hades .
10: And [G2532] David slept [G2837] with [G3326] the [G3588] his fathers [G3962][G1473], and [G2532] he was entombed [G2290] in [G1722] the [G3588] city [G4172] of David.
11: And [G2532] the [G3588] days [G2250] which [G3739] David reigned over [G1909] Israel [were] forty [G5062] years [G2094]. In [G1722] Hebron he reigned seven [G2033] years [G2094], and [G2532] in [G1722] Jerusalem he reigned thirty [G5144] and [G2532] three [G5140] years [G2094].
12: And [G2532] Solomon sat down [G2523] upon [G1909] the [G3588] throne [G2362] of David the [G3588] his father [G3962][G1473]. And [G2532] was prepared [G2090] the [G3588] government ' of him '[G1473] exceedingly [G4970].
13: And [G2532] entered [G1525] Adonijah son [G5207] of Haggith] to [G4314] Bath-sheba, the [G3588] mother [G3384] of Solomon, and [G2532] did obeisance to [G4352] her [G1473]. And [G2532] she said [G2036], in peace [G1515] the [G3588] entering [G1529] [Are] you [G1473]? And [G2532] he said [G2036], Peace [G1515].
14: And [G2532] he said [G2036], My word [G3056][G1473] to [G4314] you [G1473]. And [G2532] she said [G2036] to him [G1473], Speak [G2980]!
15: And [G2532] he said [G2036] to her [G1473], You [G1473] know [G1492] that [G3754] to me [G1473] was the [G3588] government ', and [G2532] upon [G1909] me [G1473] set [G5087] all [G3956] Israel the [G3588]ir face [G4383][G1473] for [G1519] king . And [G2532] was turned the [G3588] government ', and [G2532] came [G1096] to the [G3588] my brother [G1473]; for [G3754] by [G3844] Boss '[G2962] it was to him [G1473].
16: And [G2532] now [G3568] request one [G1520] I [G1473] ask from [G3844] you [G1473], you should not [G3361] turn [away the [G3588] face [G4383] of you [G1473]. And [G2532] said [G2036] to him [G1473] Bath-sheba], Speak [G2980]!
17: And [G2532] he said [G2036] to her [G1473], Speak [G2036] indeed [G1211] to [G4314] Solomon the [G3588] king ! for [G3754] he will not [G3756] turn away the [G3588] face [G4383] of you [G1473], so that [G2532] he will give [G1325] to me [G1473] the [G3588] Abishag the [G3588] Shunammite for [G1519] wife [G1135].
18: And [G2532] Bath-sheba said [G2036], Well [G2573], I [G1473] will speak [G2980] for [G4012] you [G1473] to the [G3588] king .
19: And [G2532] Bath-sheba entered [G1525] to [G4314] the [G3588] king Solomon to speak [G2980] to him [G1473] concerning [G4012] Adonijah. And [G2532] rose up [G1817] the [G3588] king to [G1519] meet her [G1473], and [G2532] he did obeisance to [G4352] her [G1473], and [G2532] he sat down [G2523] upon [G1909] the [G3588] throne [G2362] of him [G1473]. And [G2532] was set [G5087] a throne [G2362] [for] the [G3588] mother [G3384] of the [G3588] king ; and [G2532] she sat down [G2523] on [G1537] his right [G1188][G1473].
20: And [G2532] she said [G2036] to him [G1473], request one [G1520] small [G3397] I [G1473] ask from [G3844] you [G1473], you should not [G3361] turn away the [G3588] my face [G4383][G1473]. And [G2532] said [G2036] to her [G1473] the [G3588] king , Ask mother [G3384] my [G1699], for [G3754] I will not turn from [G3756] you [G1473].
21: And [G2532] she said [G2036], Let there be given [G1325] indeed [G1211] Abishag the [G3588] Shunammite [to the [G3588] Adonijah the [G3588] your brother [G1473] for [G1519] wife [G1135]!
22: And [G2532] answered the [G3588] king Solomon] and [G2532] said [G2036] [to the [G3588] his mother [G3384][G1473], And [G2532] why [G2444] are you [G1473] asking the [G3588] Abishag [for the [G3588] Adonijah? Then [G2532] ask for him [G1473] the [G3588] government ', for [G3754] this one [G3778] the [G3588] brother [is] my [G1473] the [G3588] older [G3173] over [G5228] me [G1473], and [G2532] with him [G1473] [are] Abiathar the [G3588] priest [G2409], and [G2532] with him [G1473] Joab son [G5207] of Zeruiah commander-in-chief -- [his] companion [G2083].
23: And [G2532] swore by an oath [G3660] the [G3588] king Solomon] according to [G2596] the [G3588] Boss '[G2962], saying [G3004], Thus [G3592] may do [G4160] to me [G1473] the [G3588] God '[G2316], and [G2532] thus [G3592] may he add [to it [G4369] for [G3754] against [G2596] the [G3588] his [own] life [G5590][G1473] Adonijah spoke [G2980] the [G3588] this word [G3056][G3778].
24: And [G2532] now [G3568] as BOSS lives [G2198][G2962], who [G3739] prepared [G2090] me [G1473], and [G2532] put [G5087] me [G1473] upon [G1909] the [G3588] throne [G2362] of David the [G3588] father [G3962] of me [G1473], and [G2532] he [G1473] made [G4160] to me [G1473] a house [G3624] as [G2531] BOSS said [G2980][G2962], that [G3754] today [G4594] Adonijah will be put to death [G2289].
25: And [G2532] sent out [G1821] the [G3588] king Solomon] by [G1722] hand [G5495] of Benaiah son [G5207] of Jehoiada; and [G2532] he did away with him [G1473], and [G2532] he died .
26: And [G2532] the [G3588] to Abiathar the [G3588] priest [G2409] said [G2036] the [G3588] king , Run unto [G1519] Anathoth, to [G1519] the [G3588] your field [G1473]! for [G3754] a man [marked for] death [G2288] your are [G1487][G1473], and [G2532] from [G1722] the [G3588] this day [G2250][G3778] I will not put to death [G3756][G2289] you [G1473], for [G3754] you lifted the [G3588] ark [G2787] of the [G3588] covenant [G1242] of Boss '[G2962] before [G1799] David the [G3588] father [G3962] of me [G1473], and [G2532] because [G3754] you were mistreated [G2558] in [G1722] all [G3956] [ways] which [G3739] was mistreated [G2558] the [G3588] my father [G3962].
27: And [G2532] Solomon cast out [G1544] the [G3588] Abiathar [so that the [G3588] he would not [G3361] be for [G1519] priest [G2409] to the [G3588] Boss '[G2962]; [to the [G3588] fulfill [G4137] the [G3588] saying [G4487] of Boss '[G2962], which [G3739] he said [G2980] concerning [G1909] the [G3588] house [G3624] of Eli in [G1722] Shiloh.
28: And [G2532] the [G3588] report came [G2064] unto [G2193] Joab son [G5207] of Zeruiah; for [G3754] Joab was leaning [G2827] after [G3694] Adonijah, but [G2532] after [G3694] Solomon he did not [G3756] turn aside [G1578]. And [G2532] Joab fled [G5343] to [G1519] the [G3588] tent [G4638] of the [G3588] Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] held [G2722] the [G3588] horns [G2768] of the [G3588] altar [G2379].
29: And [G2532] it was reported the [G3588] to Solomon, saying [G3004] that [G3754], Joab has fled [G5343] into [G1519] the [G3588] tent [G4633] of the [G3588] Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] look [G2400], he holds [G2722] the [G3588] horns [G2768] of the [G3588] altar [G2379]. And [G2532] Solomon sent the [G3588] Benaiah son [G5207] of Jehoiada, saying [G3004], Go [G4198], and [G2532] do away with him [G1473]!
30: And [G2532] Benaiah came [G2064] to [G4314] Joab in [G1519] the [G3588] tent [G4633] of Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] he said [G2036] to [G4314] him [G1473], Thus [G3592] says [G3004] the [G3588] king , Come forth [G1831]! And [G2532] Joab said [G2036], I do not go forth [G3756][G1607], for [G3754] here [G5602] I will die . And [G2532] Benaiah returned [G1994] and [G2532] said [G2036] to the [G3588] king , saying [G3004], Thus [G3592] Joab has spoken [G2980], and [G2532] thus [G3592] he answered me [G1473].
31: And [G2532] said [G2036] to him [G1473] the [G3588] king , Go [G4198], and [G2532] do [G4160] to him [G1473] as [G2531] he has said [G2046], and [G2532] do away with him [G1473]! And [G2532] you will bury [G2290] him [G1473], and [G2532] lift away [G1808] today [G4594] the [G3588] blood which [G3739] Joab poured out [G1632] freely [G1431] from me [G1473], and [G2532] from the [G3588] house [G3624] of the [G3588] father [G3962] of me [G1473].
32: And [G2532] BOSS returned [G1994][G2962] the [G3588] blood of the [G3588] his iniquity [G1473] onto [G1519] his head [G2776][G1473], inasmuch as [G5613] he met the [G3588] two [G1417] men the [G3588] just [G1342] and [G2532] good above [G5228] him [G1473], and [G2532] killed them [G1473] by [G1722] broadsword [G4501]. And [G2532] the [G3588] father [G3962] of me [G1473] David did not [G3756] know [about [G1097] the [G3588] Abner son [G5207] of Ner, commander-in-chief of Israel, and [G2532] the [G3588] Amasa son [G5207] of Jether, commander-in-chief of Judah.
33: And [G2532] let return the [G3588] blood their [G1473] upon [G1519] the [G3588] his head [G2776][G1473], and [G2532] upon [G1519] the [G3588] head [G2776] of the [G3588] his seed [G4690][G1473] unto [G2193] age (term) `! And [G2532] [to the [G3588] David, and [G2532] [to the [G3588] his seed [G4690][G1473], and [G2532] [to the [G3588] his house [G3624][G1473], and [G2532] [to the [G3588] throne [G2362] of him [G1473], may there be [G1096] peace [G1515] by [G3844] Boss '[G2962] into [G2193] age (term) `.
34: And [G2532] went up Benaiah son [G5207] of Jehoiada], and [G2532] met him [G1473], and [G2532] killed [G2289] him [G1473]. And [G2532] they entombed [G2290] him [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] his house [G3624][G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] wilderness [G2048].
35: And [G2532] appointed [G1325] the [G3588] king the [G3588] Benaiah son [G5207] of Jehoiada instead of him [G1473] over [G1909] the [G3588] military [G4756]. And [G2532] the [G3588] Zadok the [G3588] priest [G2409] appointed [G1325] the [G3588] king , as [G1519] priest [G2409] foremost [G4413] instead of Abiathar.
36: And [G2532] sending , called [G2564] the [G3588] king the [G3588] Shimei, and [G2532] said [G2036] to him [G1473], Build [G3618] for yourself [G4572] a house [G3624] in [G1722] Jerusalem, and [G2532] settle [G2521] there [G1563], and [G2532] do not [G3756] go forth [G1831] from there [G1564] -- not at all !
37: And [G2532] it will be in [G1722] the [G3588] day [G2250] that the [G3588] you exit [G1841][G1473], and [G2532] pass over [G1224] the [G3588] rushing stream [G5493] the [G3588] Kidron, in knowing [G1097], know [G1097] that [G3754] to death [G2288] you will die , the [G3588] your blood [G1473] will be upon [G1909] the [G3588] your head [G2776][G1473].
38: And [G2532] Shimei said [G2036] to [G4314] the [G3588] king , is good the [G3588] thing [G4487] which [G3739] you have spoken [G2980], O my boss [G2962][G1473], O king , thus [G3779] will do [G4160] the [G3588] your servant [G1401][G1473]. And [G2532] Shimei sat down [G2523] in [G1722] Jerusalem three [G5140] years [G2094].
39: And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] after [G3326] three [G5140] years [G2094], that [G2532] ran away two [G1417] servants [G1401] of Shimei] to [G4314] Achish son [G5207] of Maachah king of Gath. And [G2532] they reported the [G3588] to Shimei, saying [G3004], look [G2400], the [G3588] your servants [G1401][G1473] [are] in [G1722] Gath.
40: And [G2532] Shimei rose up , and [G2532] saddled the [G3588] his donkey [G3688][G1473], and [G2532] went [G4198] unto [G1519] Gath to [G4314] Achish the [G3588] to seek after [G1567] the [G3588] his servants [G1401][G1473]. And [G2532] Shimei went [G4198] and [G2532] conveyed ' the [G3588] his servants [G1401][G1473] from [G1537] Gath.
41: And [G2532] it was reported [to the [G3588] Solomon, saying [G3004] that [G3754], Shimei went [G4198] from out of [G1537] Jerusalem unto [G1519] Gath, and [G2532] he returned .
42: And [G2532] sent the [G3588] king and [G2532] called [G2564] the [G3588] Shimei, and [G2532] he said [G2036] to [G4314] him [G1473], [Have] I not [G3780] bound you by an oath [G3726][G1473] according to [G2596] the [G3588] Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] I attested [G1957] to you [G1473], saying [G3004], In [G1722] which [G3739] ever day [G2250] you should go forth [G1831] from out of [G1537] Jerusalem, and [G2532] you should go [G4198] to [G1519] right [G1188] or [G2228] left , in knowing [G1097], know [G1097] that [G3754] to death [G2288] you will die ? And [G2532] you said [G2036] to me [G1473], [was] good the [G3588] word [G4487] which [G3739] you heard .
43: And [G2532] why [G5100] have you not guarded [G3756][G5442] the [G3588] oath [G3727] of Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] the [G3588] commandment [G1785] which [G3739] I gave charge [G1781] to [G2596] you [G1473]?
44: And [G2532] said [G2036] the [G3588] king to [G4314] Shimei, You [G1473] know [G1492] all [G3956] the [G3588] your evil [G2549][G1473] which [G3739] knows [G1492] the [G3588] your heart [G2588][G1473], which [G3739] you did [G4160] to David the [G3588] father [G3962] of me [G1473], and [G2532] BOSS recompensed [G2962] the [G3588] your evil [G2549][G1473] on [G1519] your head [G2776][G1473].
45: And [G2532] the [G3588] king Solomon [is] being blessed [G2127], and [G2532] the [G3588] throne [G2362] of David will be prepared [G2092] before [G1799] Boss '[G2962] into [G1519] the [G3588] age (term) `.
46: And [G2532] gave charge [G1781] the [G3588] king Solomon] [to the [G3588] Benaiah son [G5207] of Jehoiada. And [G2532] he came forth [G1831], and [G2532] did away with him [G1473], and [G2532] he died .
