Numbers Chapter 20 - | Early Church Bible

1: And [G2532] came [G2064] of the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel all [G3956] the [G3588] congregation [G4864] into [G1519] the [G3588] wilderness [G2048] of Zin, in [G1722] the [G3588] month [G3376] the [G3588] first [G4413]; and [G2532] stayed [G2650] the [G3588] people [G2992] in [G1722] Kadesh. And [G2532] came to an end [G5053] there [G1563] Miriam], and [G2532] she was entombed [G2290] there [G1563].
2: And [G2532] no [G3756] there was water [G5204] for the [G3588] congregation [G4864], and [G2532] they gathered themselves against [G1909] Moses and [G2532] Aaron.
3: And [G2532] reviled [G3058] the [G3588] people [G2992] against [G4314] Moses, saying [G3004], Ought [G3784] we died in [G1722] the [G3588] destruction of the [G3588] our brothers [G1473] before [G1725] Boss '[G2962].
4: And [G2532] why [G2444] did you lead the [G3588] congregation [G4864] of Boss '[G2962] into [G1519] the [G3588] this wilderness [G2048][G3778], to kill us [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] our cattle [G2934][G1473]?
5: And [G2532] why [G2444] is this [G3778] you led us [G1473] from [G1537] Egypt to come [G3854] unto [G1519] the [G3588] place [G5117] the [G3588] this bad [G4190][G3778]? A place [G5117] which [G3739] you cannot [G3756] sow [G4687], nor [is there [G3761] fig-trees [G4808], nor [G3761] grapevines , nor [G3777] pomegranates , nor [G3777] is there water [G5204] to drink [G4095].
6: And [G2532] came [G2064] Moses and [G2532] Aaron] from in front [G4383] of the [G3588] congregation [G4864], unto [G1909] the [G3588] door [G2374] of the [G3588] tent [G4633] of the [G3588] testimony [G3142], and [G2532] they fell [G4098] upon [G1909] their face [G4383][G1473]. And [G2532] appeared [G3708] the [G3588] glory [G1391] [of the] Boss '[G2962] to [G4314] them [G1473].
7: And [G2532] spoke [G2980] Boss '[G2962] to [G4314] Moses, saying [G3004],
8: Take [G2983] the [G3588] rod [G4464], and [G2532] call an assembly of the [G3588] congregation [G4864], you [G1473] and [G2532] Aaron the [G3588] your brother [G1473]! And [G2532] speak [G2980] to [G4314] the [G3588] rock [G4073] before [G1726] them [G1473]! and [G2532] it will give [G1325] of the [G3588] its waters [G5204][G1473]; and [G2532] you will bring forth [G1627] to them [G1473] water [G5204] from out of [G1537] the [G3588] rock [G4073], and [G2532] you will give to drink [G4222] the [G3588] congregation [G4864] and [G2532] the [G3588]ir cattle [G2934][G1473].
9: And [G2532] Moses took [G2983][G1473] the [G3588] rod [G4464] before Boss '[G2962], as [G2505] BOSS gave orders [G4929][G2962] to him [G1473].
10: And [G2532] held an assembly Moses and [G2532] Aaron] [of] the [G3588] congregation [G4864] before the [G3588] rock [G4073]. And [G2532] he said [G2036] to [G4314] them [G1473], Hear me [G1473]! O ones the [G3588] resisting persuasion ; must [G3361] from out of [G1537] the [G3588] this rock [G4073][G3778] we bring forth [G1806] to you [G1473] water [G5204]?
11: And [G2532] Moses lifting [G1869] the [G3588] his hand [G5495][G1473], struck [G3960] the [G3588] rock [G4073] with the [G3588] rod [G4464] twice [G1364], and [G2532] came forth [G1831] water [G5204] much [G4183], and [G2532] drank [G4095] the [G3588] congregation [G4864], and [G2532] the [G3588]ir cattle [G2934][G1473].
12: And [G2532] BOSS said [G2036][G2962] to [G4314] Moses and [G2532] Aaron, Because [G3754] you did not [G3756] trust '[G4100] in me [G1473] to sanctify me [G1473] before [G1726] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel, because of [G1223] this [G3778] will not [G3756] bring [G1521] you yourselves [G1473] the [G3588] this congregation [G4864][G3778] into [G1519] the [G3588] land '[G1093] which [G3739] I have given [G1325] to them [G1473].
13: This is [G3778] the [G3588] water [G5204] of dispute , for [G3754] were reviled [G3058] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel] before [G1725] Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] he was sanctified among [G1722] them [G1473].
14: And [G2532] Moses sent word-conveyers (messengers) ' from [G1537] Kadesh to [G4314] king of Edom, saying [G3004], Thus [G3592] says [G3004] the [G3588] your brother [G1473] Israel, You [G1473] have knowledge of [G1987] all [G3956] the [G3588] trouble [G3449] the [G3588] finding [G2147] us [G1473],
15: and [how [G2532] went down [G2597] the [G3588] our fathers [G3962][G1473] into [G1519] Egypt, and [G2532] we sojourned [G3939] in [G1722] Egypt days [G2250] many [G4183], and [G2532] inflicted evil [G2559] on us [G1473] the [G3588] Egyptians] and [G2532] the [G3588] our fathers [G3962][G1473].
16: And [G2532] we yelled out to [G4314] Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] BOSS listened [G1522][G2962] [to the [G3588] our voice [G5456][G1473]. And [G2532] sending a word-conveyer (messenger) ', he led [G1806] us [G1473] from out of [G1537] Egypt. And [G2532] now [G3568] we are in [G1722] Kadesh, a city [G4172] of [G1537] a part [G3313] of the [G3588] your borders [G3725][G1473].
17: We will go [G3928] through [G1223] the [G3588] your land '[G1093][G1473]. We will not [G3756] go [G1330] through [G1223] fields , nor [G3761] through [G1223] vineyards , nor [G3761] will we drink [G4095] water [G5204] from out of [G1537] your cistern [G1473]. way [G3598] [by the] royal We will go [G4198]. We will not [G3756] turn aside [G1578] to right [G1188] nor [G3761] left [G2176], until [G2193] whenever we should have gone by [G3928] the [G3588] your borders [G3725][G1473].
18: And [G2532] said [G2036] to [G4314] him [G1473] Edom], You will not [G3756] go [G1330] through [G1223] mine [G1473], and if otherwise [G1490], in [G1722] war [G4171] I will come forth [G1831] to [G1519] meet with [G4877] you [G1473].
19: And [G2532] say [G3004] to him [G1473] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel], by [G3844] the [G3588] raised-place (mountain) '[G3735] We will go [G3928]. And if [G1437][G1161] of the [G3588] your water [G5204][G1473] we drink [G4095], both I [G1473][G5037] and [G2532] the [G3588] my cattle [G2934][G1473], I will give [G1325] value [of it [G5092] to you [G1473]. But the [G3588] thing [G4229] is nothing [G3762], by [G3844] the [G3588] raised-place (mountain) '[G3735] we will go [G3928].
20: the [G3588] And [G1161] he said [G2036], You will not [G3756] go [G1330] through [G1223] of mine [G1473]. And [G2532] Edom came forth [G1831] to [G1519] meet with [G4877] him [G1473] with [G1722] crowd [G3793] a heavy , and [G2532] with [G1722] hand [G5495] a strong [G2478].
21: And [G2532] did not [G3756] want [G2309] Edom] to give [permission [G1325] the [G3588] to Israel to go [G3928] through [G1223] the [G3588] his borders [G3725][G1473]. And [G2532] Israel turned aside [G1578] from him [G1473].
22: And [G2532] they departed from [G1537] Kadesh. And [G2532] came [G3854] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel], all [G3956] the [G3588] congregation [G4864], unto [G1519] Hor the [G3588] raised-place (mountain) '[G3735].
23: And [G2532] BOSS said [G2036][G2962] to [G4314] Moses and [G2532] Aaron in [G1722] Hor, in the [G3588] raised-place (mountain) '[G3735], upon [G1909] the [G3588] borders [G3725] of the [G3588] land '[G1093] of Edom, saying [G3004],
24: Let Aaron be added [G4369] to [G4314] the [G3588] his people [G2992][G1473], for [G3754] in no way should he enter [G1525] into [G1519] the [G3588] land '[G1093] which [G3739] I have given [G1325] to the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel, because [G1360] you provoked [G3947] me [G1473] at [G1909] the [G3588] Water [G5204] of the [G3588] Dispute .
25: Take [G2983] the [G3588] Aaron and [G2532] Eleazar the [G3588] son [G5207] of him [G1473], and [G2532] haul them [G1473] unto [G1519] Hor the [G3588] raised-place (mountain) '[G3735]!
26: And [G2532] take off [G1562] of Aaron the [G3588] his apparel [G4749][G1473], and [G2532] put [it] on [G1746] Eleazar the [G3588] son [G5207] of him [G1473]! And [G2532] Aaron, having been added [to his people [G4369], let him die there [G1563]!
27: And [G2532] Moses did [G4160] as [G2505] BOSS gave orders [G4929][G2962] to him [G1473], and [G2532] he hauled them [G1473] unto [G1519] Hor the [G3588] raised-place (mountain) '[G3735] before [G1726] all [G3956] the [G3588] congregation [G4864].
28: And [G2532] Moses stripped off [G1562] the [G3588] Aaron the [G3588] his garments [G2440][G1473], and [G2532] he put [G1746] them [on [G1473] Eleazar the [G3588] son [G5207] of him [G1473]. And [G2532] Aaron died upon [G1909] the [G3588] top of the [G3588] raised-place (mountain) '[G3735]. And [G2532] came down [G2597] Moses and [G2532] Eleazar] from [G1537] the [G3588] raised-place (mountain) '[G3735].
29: And [G2532] saw [G1492] all [G3956] the [G3588] congregation [G4864] that [G3754] Aaron was loosed , and [G2532] wept [for [G2799] the [G3588] Aaron thirty [G5144] days [G2250] all [G3956] house [G3624] of Israel].
