1: And [G2532] sons [G5207] of Reuben first-born [G4416] of Israel -- for [G3754] he [was [G3778] the [G3588] first-born [G4416], but in [G1722][G1161] the [G3588] profaning the [G3588] strewn bed of the [G3588] his father [G3962][G1473], was given [G1325] the [G3588] his rights of the first-born [G4415][G1473] to sons [G5207] of Joseph, son [G5207] of Israel. And [G2532] he did not [G3756] trace descent [G1075] for [G1519] rights of the first-born [G4415].
2: For [G3754] Judah [was] mighty [G1415] in strength [G2479] among [G1722] the [G3588] brothers of him [G1473], and [G2532] a [G1519] leader [G2233] [came] from [G1537] him [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] rights of the firstborn [G4415] [was] to the [G3588] Joseph.
3: sons [G5207] of Reuben first-born [G4416] of Israel -- Hanoch, and [G2532] Pallu, Hezron, and [G2532] Carmi.
4: sons [G5207] of Joel -- Shemaiah son [G5207] of him [G1473], Gog son [G5207] of him [G1473], Shimei son [G5207] of him [G1473],
5: Michah son [G5207] of him [G1473], Reaiah son [G5207] of him [G1473], Baal son [G5207] of him [G1473],
6: Beerah son [G5207] of him [G1473], whom [G3739] resettled Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria] -- he [G3778] [was] ruler of the [G3588] Reuben.
7: And [G2532] brothers of him [G1473] of the [G3588] his fatherland [G3968][G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588]ir distribution [G1473] according to [G2596] their generations [G1078][G1473] -- the [G3588] ruler Jeiel, and [G2532] Zechariah,
8: and [G2532] Bela son [G5207] of Azaz, son [G5207] of Shema, son [G5207] of Joel, he [G1473] dwelt [G2730] in [G1722] Aroer, even [G2532] unto [G2193] Nebo and [G2532] Baal-meon.
9: And [G2532] according to [G2596] east he dwelt [G2730] unto [G2193] the [G3588] entrance [G1529] of the [G3588] wilderness [G2048] off the [G3588] river [G4215] Euphrates; for [G3754] the [G3588] cattle [G2934] their [G1473] multiplied [G4129] in [G1722] the [G3588] land '[G1093] of Gilead.
10: And [G2532] in [G1722] the [G3588] days [G2250] of Saul they made [G4160] war [G4171] with [G3326] the [G3588] Hagarites, and [G2532] they fell [G4098] by [G1722] the [G3588]ir hand [G5495][G1473], and [G2532] they dwelt [G2730] in [G1722] the [G3588]ir tents [G4633][G1473] upon [G1909] all [G3956] face [G4383] of east [parts of the [G3588] Gilead.
11: and [G2532] sons [G5207] of Gad dwelt [G2730] over against [G2713] them [G1473] at [G1909] the [G3588] land '[G1093] of Bashan unto [G2193] Salcah.
12: Joel the [G3588] ruler , and [G2532] Shapham the [G3588] second [G1208], and [G2532] Jaanai [was] the [G3588] scholar (scribe) '[G1122] (sofer [H5613]), and [G2532] Shaphat in [G1722] the [G3588] Bashan,
13: and [G2532] the [G3588]ir brothers [G1473] according to [G2596] houses [G3624] of their families [G3965][G1473] -- Michael, Meshullam, and [G2532] Sheba, and [G2532] Jorai, and [G2532] Jachan, and [G2532] Zia, and [G2532] Heber -- seven [G2033].
14: These [are [G3778] sons [G5207] of Abihail son [G5207] of Huri, son [G5207] of Jaroah, son [G5207] of Gilead, son [G5207] of Michael, son [G5207] of Jeshishai, son [G5207] of Jahdo, son [G5207] of Buz,
15: son [G5207] of Abdiel, son [G5207] of Guni, ruler of house [G3624] of families [G3965].
16: And [G2532] they dwelt [G2730] in [G1722] Gilead in [G1722] Bashan, and [G2532] in [G1722] the [G3588] her towns [G2968][G1473], and [G2532] in [G1722] in all [G3956] the [G3588] places round about [G4066] Sharon, unto [G2193] exit [G1841].
17: All [G3956] the [G3588] traced descent [G1075] in [G1722] days [G2250] of Jotham king of Judah, and [G2532] in [G1722] days [G2250] of Jeroboam king of Israel.
18: sons [G5207] of Reuben and [G2532] Gad and [G2532] the [G3588] half [G2255] tribe [G5443] of Manasseh, off sons [G5207] [of the] forces [G1411], men lifting shield and [G2532] sword [G3162], and [G2532] stretching bow [G5115], and [G2532] being taught [G1321] war [G4171] -- forty [G5062] and [G2532] four [G5064] thousand [G5505] and [G2532] seven hundred and [G2532] sixty [G1835], going forth [G1607] unto [G1519] battle array .
19: And [G2532] they made [G4160] war [G4171] with [G3326] the [G3588] Hagarites, and [G2532] Jeturites, and [G2532] Nepishites, and [G2532] Nodabeans.
20: And [G2532] they were called to aid over [G1909] them [G1473], and [G2532] were delivered up [G3860] into [G1722] their hand [G5495][G1473] the [G3588] Hagarites], and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] [ones] with [G3326] them [G1473]; for [G3754] [to the [G3588] God '[G2316] they yelled in [G1722] the [G3588] battle [G4171], and [G2532] he heeded [G1873] them [G1473], for [G3754] they relied [G3982] upon [G1909] him [G1473].
21: And [G2532] they captured the [G3588]ir possessions [G1473]; camels [G2574] -- fifty [G4004] thousand [G5505], and [G2532] sheep [G4263] -- two hundred [G1250] and [G2532] fifty [G4004] thousand [G5505], and [G2532] donkeys [G3688] -- two thousand [G1367], and [G2532] lives [G5590] of men -- a hundred [G1540] thousand [G5505].
22: slain For [G1063] many [G4183] fell [G4098], because [G3754] was of [G3844] the [G3588] God '[G2316] the [G3588] war [G4171]. And [G2532] they dwelt [there [G2730] instead of them [G1473] until [G2193] the [G3588] resettlement .
23: And [G2532] the [G3588] half [G2255] of the [G3588] tribe [G5443] of Manasseh lived [G3611] in [G1722] the [G3588] land '[G1093]; from Bashan unto [G2193] Baal Hermon, and [G2532] Senir, and [G2532] raised-place (mountain) '[G3735] Hermon they [G1473] were multiplied [G4129].
24: And [G2532] these [were [G3778] rulers of house [G3624] of their families [G3965][G1473] -- Epher, and [G2532] Ishi, and [G2532] Eliel, and [G2532] Azriel and [G2532] Jeremiah, and [G2532] Hodaviah, and [G2532] Jahdiel; men mighty [G1415] in [G1722] strength [G2479], men famous , rulers according to [G2596] house [G3624] of their families [G3965][G1473].
25: And [G2532] they annulled [allegiance with [G1722] the God '[G2316] of the [G3588]ir fathers [G3962][G1473], and [G2532] they committed harlotry [G4203] after [G3694] the [G3588] gods '[G2316] of the [G3588] peoples [G2992] of the [G3588] land '[G1093], which [G3739] God removed [G1808] the [G3588][G2316] from in front [G4383] of them [G1473].
26: And [G2532] roused up [G1825] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of Israel] the [G3588] wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151] of Pul king of Assyrians, and [G2532] the [G3588] wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151] of Tiglath-Pileser king of Assyrians. And [G2532] he resettled the [G3588] Reuben, and [G2532] the [G3588] Gadites, and [G2532] the [G3588] half [G2255] tribe [G5443] of Manasseh. And [G2532] he conveyed ' them [G1473] into [G1519] Halah, and [G2532] Habor, and [G2532] Hara, and [G2532] unto [G1909] river [G4215] Gozan, unto [G2193] the [G3588] this day [G2250][G3778].
