2
But the [G3588][G1161] Jews having resisted persuasion , roused up [G1892] and [G2532] afflicted [G2559] the [G3588] souls [G5590] of the [G3588] tradition-peoples (ethnics) '[G1484] against [G2596] the [G3588] brothers .
3
a fit [G2425] Then [G3303][G3767] time [G5550] they spent [G1304] speaking openly [G3955] in [G1909] the [G3588] Boss '[G2962], to the [G3588] bearing witness [G3140] to the [G3588] word [G3056] of the [G3588] his favor [G5484][G1473], granting [G1325] signs [G4592] and [G2532] miracles [G5059] to take place [G1096] through [G1223] the [G3588]ir hands [G5495][G1473].
4
was split [G4977] And [G1161] the [G3588] multitude [G4128] of the [G3588] city [G4172]; and [G2532] some the [G3588][G3303] were with [G4862] the [G3588] Jews, and some the [G3588][G1161] with [G4862] the [G3588] sent ones (apostles) '.
5
And as [G5613][G1161] there became [G1096] a movement [G3730] by the [G3588] tradition-peoples (ethnics) '[G1484], and also [G5037][G2532] of Jews with [G4862] the [G3588]ir rulers [G1473], to insult [G5195] and [G2532] to stone [G3036] them [G1473],
6
being fully conscious [G4894], they took refuge [G2703] in [G1519] the [G3588] cities [G4172] of the [G3588] Lycaonia, Lystra and [G2532] Derbe, and [G2532] the [G3588] place round about [G4066],
7
and there [G2546] they were good-word-conveying (evangelizing) '[G2097].
8
And [G2532] a certain [G5100] man in [G1722] Lystra, disabled in the [G3588] feet [G4228] sat [G2521], lame [G5560] from [G1537] belly [G2836] of his mother [G3384][G1473] being [G5224], who [G3739] at no time [G3763] walked [G4043].
9
This one [G3778] heard the [G3588] Paul speaking [G2980]; who [G3739] having gazed upon him [G1473], and [G2532] seeing [G1492] that [G3754] trust '[G4102] he had [G2192], of the [G3588] [one] to be delivered [G4982],
10
said [G2036] with a great [G3173] the [G3588] voice [G5456], Rise upon [G1909] the [G3588] your feet [G4228][G1473] straight [G3717]! And [G2532] he leaped up and [G2532] walked [G4043].
11
And the [G3588][G1161] crowds [G3793] looking [at] [G1492] what [G3739] Paul did [G4160] the [G3588], lifted up [G1869] the [G3588]ir voice [G5456][G1473] in Lycaonian, saying [G3004], the [G3588] gods '[G2316] having become like [G3666] men , are come down [G2597] to [G4314] us [G1473].
12
And they called [G2564][G5037] the [G3588][G3303] Barnabas -- Dia, the [G3588] and [G1161] Paul -- Hermes, since [G1894] he [G1473] was the [G3588] [one] leading [G2233] the [G3588] by word [G3056].
13
And the [G3588][G1161] priest [G2409], the [G3588] [one] of Dia, of the [G3588] [one] being before [G4253] the [G3588]ir city [G4172][G1473], bulls [G5022] and [G2532] garlands [G4725] unto [G1909] the [G3588] vestibules [G4440] having brought [G5342], with [G4862] the [G3588] crowds [G3793], wanted [G2309] to sacrifice [G2380].
14
And having heard [G1161], the [G3588] sent ones (apostles) ' Barnabas and [G2532] Paul, having torn [G1284] the [G3588]ir garments [G2440][G1473], rushed [G1530] into [G1519] the [G3588] crowd [G3793] crying [G2896],
15
and [G2532] saying [G3004], Men , why [G5100] do you do these [things] [G3778][G4160]? Even [G2532] we [G1473] having the same passions [G3663] are as you [G1473] men , good-word-conveying (evangelizing) '[G2097] -- [for] you [G1473] from these [G3778] the [G3588] vanities [G3152] to turn [G1994] unto [G1909] the [G3588] God '[G2316] the [G3588] [one] living [G2198], who [G3739] made [G4160] the [G3588] raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772], and [G2532] the [G3588] land '[G1093], and [G2532] the [G3588] sea [G2281], and [G2532] all [G3956] the [things] [G3588] in [G1722] them [G1473];
16
who [G3739] in [G1722] the [G3588] passing by [G3944] generations [G1074] allowed [G1439] all [G3956] the [G3588] tradition-peoples (ethnics) '[G1484] to go [G4198] [by the [G3588]ir ways [G3598][G1473];
17
though indeed [G2544] not [G3756] without his own witness did he allow [it , [but] doing good from-the-raised-place-above (from-the-sky) '[G3771] to you [G1473] -- rains [G5205] giving [G1325], and [G2532] seasons [G2540] bearing fruit [G2593], filling up [G1705] provision [G5160] and [G2532] gladness [G2167] of the [G3588] our hearts [G2588][G1473].
18
And [G2532] saying these [things] [G3778][G3004], hardly [G3433] ceased [G2664] the [G3588] crowds [G3793] the [G3588] to not [G3361] sacrifice [G2380] to them [G1473].
19
came [G1904] And [G1161] from Antioch and [G2532] Iconium Jews]; and [G2532] having persuaded [G3982] the [G3588] crowds [G3793], and [G2532] having stoned [G3034] the [G3588] Paul, they dragged him [G4951] outside [G1854] the [G3588] city [G4172] thinking [G3543] him [G1473] to have died [G2348].
20
having encircled [G2944] But [G1161] him [G1473] the [G3588] disciples [G3101], having risen up , he entered [G1525] into [G1519] the [G3588] city [G4172]. And [G2532] the [G3588] next day [G1887] he went forth [G1831] with [G4862] the [G3588] Barnabas unto [G1519] Derbe.
21
And having good-word-conveyed '[G2097][G5037] the [G3588] in that city [G4172][G1565], and [G2532] having trained '[G3100] a fit [amount [G2425], they returned [G5290] unto [G1519] the [G3588] Lystra, and [G2532] Iconium, and [G2532] Antioch,
22
staying up [G1991] the [G3588] souls [G5590] of the [G3588] trainees '[G3101], appealing [to them [G3870] to adhere to [G1696] the [G3588] trust '[G4102], and [saying [G2532] that [G3754], By [G1223] many [G4183] afflictions [G2347] we must [G1163][G1473] enter [G1525] into [G1519] the [G3588] government ' of the [G3588] God '[G2316].
23
And having hand picked [G5500][G1161] for them [G1473] elders [G4245] in every [G2596] assembly [G1577], having prayed [G4336] with [G3326] fastings [G3521], they placed [G3908] them [G1473] to the [G3588] Boss '[G2962] in [G1519] whom [G3739] they had trusted '[G4100].
24
And [G2532] having gone through [G1330] the [G3588] Pisidia, they came [G2064] unto [G1519] Pamphylia.
25
And [G2532] having spoken [G2980] in [G1722] Perga the [G3588] word [G3056], they went down [G2597] unto [G1519] Attalia.
26
And from there [G2547] they sailed away unto [G1519] Antioch, from where [G3606] they were delivered up [G3860] to the [G3588] favor [G5484] of the [G3588] God '[G2316], for [G1519] the [G3588] work [G2041] which [G3739] they fulfilled [G4137].
27
And having arrived [G3854], and [G2532] having gathered together [G4863] the [G3588] assembly [G1577], they announced as much as [G3745] God did [G4160] the [G3588][G2316] with [G3326] them [G1473], and [G2532] that [G3754] he opened to the [G3588] tradition-peoples (ethnics) '[G1484] a door [G2374] of trust '[G4102].
28
And they spent [G1304][G1161] time there [G1563][G5550], not [G3756] a little [G3641], with [G4862] the [G3588] trainees '[G3101].
