Exodus Chapter 17 - | Early Church Bible

1: And [G2532] departed all [G3956] the [G3588] congregation [G4864] [of the] sons [G5207] of Israel] from out of [G1537] the [G3588] wilderness [G2048] of Sin, according to [G2596] their camps [G3925][G1473], through [G1223] saying [G4487] of Boss '[G2962]. And [G2532] they camped in [G1722] Rephidim. no [G3756] there was But [G1161] water [G5204] for the [G3588] people [G2992] to drink [G4095].
2: And [G2532] reviled [G3058] the [G3588] people [G2992] against [G4314] Moses, saying [G3004], Give [G1325] to us [G1473] water [G5204]! that [G2443] we may drink [G4095]. And [G2532] said [G2036] to them [G1473] Moses], Why [G5100] do you revile [G3058] me [G1473]? And [G2532] why [G5100] do you test [G3985] Boss '[G2962]?
3: thirsted [G1372] And [G1161] there [G1563] the [G3588] people [G2992] for water [G5204]. And [G2532] complained [G1234] the [G3588] people [G2992] against [G1909] Moses, saying [G3004], Why [G2444] [is] this [G3778] that [G3754] you hauled us [G1473] from out of [G1537] Egypt the [G3588] to kill us [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] our children [G5043][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] cattle [G2934] the [G3588] by thirst [G1373]?
4: yelled And [G1161] Moses] to [G4314] Boss '[G2962], saying [G3004], What [G5100] should I do [G4160] the [G3588] with this people [G2992][G3778]? Yet [G2089] in a little [while [G3397] and [G2532] they will cast stones at me [G1473].
5: And [G2532] BOSS said [G2036][G2962] to [G4314] Moses, Go before [G4313] the [G3588] this people [G2992][G3778]! and take [G2983][G1161] with [G3326] yourself [G4572] [some] off the [G3588] elders [G4245] of the [G3588] people [G2992], and [G2532] the [G3588] rod [G4464] in [G1722] which [G3739] you struck [G3960] the [G3588] river [G4215]! Take it [G2983] in [G1722] the [G3588] your hand [G5495][G1473] and [G2532] go [G4198]!
6: look [G2400], I [G1473] stand [G2476] there [G1563], before [G4253] the [G3588] your [G1473] coming [G2064] upon [G1909] the [G3588] rock [G4073] in [G1722] Horeb. And [G2532] you will strike [G3960] the [G3588] rock [G4073], and [G2532] will come forth [G1831] from out of [G1537] it [G1473] water [G5204], and [G2532] will drink [G4095] the [G3588] people [G2992]. did [G4160] And [G1161] Moses] thus [G3779] before [G1726] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel.
7: And [G2532] he named [G2028] the [G3588] name [G3686] of the [G3588] that place [G5117][G1565] -- Test [G3986] and [G2532] Reviling ; on account of [G1223] the [G3588] reviling [G3059] of the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel, and [G2532] on account of [G1223] the [G3588] testing [G3985] the Boss '[G2962], saying [G3004], Is [G1487] Boss '[G2962] with [G1722] us [G1473] or [G2228] not [G3756]?
8: came [G2064] And [G1161] Amalek] and [G2532] waged war against [G4170] the [G3588] Israel in [G1722] Rephidim.
9: said [G2036] And [G1161] Moses the [G3588] to Joshua, Choose [G1951] for yourself [G4572] men mighty [G1415], and [G2532] going forth [G1831] deploy against the [G3588] Amalek tomorrow ! And [G2532] look [G2400], I [G1473] [will] stand [G2476] upon [G1909] the [G3588] top of the [G3588] hill [G1015], and [G2532] the [G3588] rod [G4464] of the [G3588] God '[G2316] in [G1722] the [G3588] my hand [G5495][G1473].
10: And [G2532] Joshua did [G4160] as [G2509] told [G2036] to him [G1473] Moses]. And [G2532] going forth [G1831] he deployed against the [G3588] Amalek. And [G2532] Moses and [G2532] Aaron and [G2532] Hur went up upon [G1909] the [G3588] top of the [G3588] hill [G1015].
11: And [G2532] it happened [G1096] whenever [G3752] Moses lifted up [G1869] the [G3588] hands [G5495], Israel grew strong [G2729]. But whenever [G3752][G1161] he lowered [G2524] [his the [G3588] hands [G5495], Amalek grew strong [G2729].
12: And the [G3588][G1161] hands [G5495] of Moses [became] heavy . And [G2532] taking [G2983] a stone [G3037] they placed [it [G5294] under [G5259] him [G1473], and [G2532] he sat down [G2521] upon [G1909] it [G1473]. And [G2532] Aaron and [G2532] Hur supported [G4741] the [G3588] his hands [G5495][G1473]; here [G1782] one [G1520] and [G2532] there [G1782] one [G1520]. And [G2532] were [G1096] the [G3588] hands [G5495] of Moses] supported [G4741] until [G2193] descent [G1424] of sun [G2246].
13: And [G2532] Joshua routed the [G3588] Amalek, and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] his people [G2992][G1473] by [G1722] a carnage [G5408] of sword [G3162].
14: said [G2036] And [G1161] Boss '[G2962] to [G4314] Moses, Write this [G3778] for [G1519] a memorial [G3422] in [G1722] a scroll , and [G2532] put it [G1325] unto [G1519] the [G3588] ears [G3775] of Joshua! For [G3754] [as] ointment I will wipe away [G1813] the [G3588] memorial [G3422] of Amalek from [G1537] the [G3588] under [G5259] the [G3588] raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772].
15: And [G2532] Moses built [G3618] an altar [G2379] to the [G3588] Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] named [G2028] the [G3588] name [G3686] of it [G1473], Boss '[G2962] My Refuge [G1473],
16: for [G3754] with [G1722] hand [G5495] a hidden BOSS wages war [G4170][G2962] against [G1909] Amalek from generations [G1074] unto [G1519] generations [G1074].
