Genesis Chapter 22 - | Early Church Bible

1: And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] after [G3326] the [G3588]se words [G4487][G3778], the [G3588] God '[G2316] tested [G3985] the [G3588] Abraham, and [G2532] said [G2036] to him [G1473], Abraham, Abraham. And [G2532] he said [G2036], look [G2400], [it is] I [G1473].
2: And [G2532] he said [G2036], Take [G2983] the [G3588] son [G5207] of you [G1473], the [G3588] beloved , whom [G3739] you loved the [G3588] Isaac! And [G2532] go [G4198] into [G1519] the [G3588] land '[G1093] the [G3588] high [G5308], and [G2532] offer him [G1473] there [G1563] [as [G1519] a whole offering upon [G1909] one [G1520] of the [G3588] raised-places (mountains) '[G3735]! which [G3739] ever I may tell you [G1473][G2036].
3: rising up And [G1161] Abraham] in the morning [G4404], saddled the [G3588] his donkey [G3688][G1473], and he took [G3880][G1161] with [G3326] himself [G1438] two [G1417] servants [G3816], and [G2532] Isaac the [G3588] son [G5207] of him [G1473]. And [G2532] splitting [G4977] wood [G3586] for [G1519] a whole offering , rising up to go [G4198] and [G2532], they came [G2064] upon [G1909] the [G3588] place [G5117] which [G3739] spoke [G2036] to him [G1473] the [G3588] God '[G2316], the [G3588] day [G2250] on the [G3588] third [G5154].
4: And [G2532] Abraham looking up [with] the [G3588] his eyes [G3788][G1473] saw [G1492] the [G3588] place [G5117] far off [G3113].
5: And [G2532] Abraham said [G2036] the [G3588] to his servants [G3816][G1473], You sit down [G2523] here with [G3326] the [G3588] donkey [G3688]! and I [G1473][G1161] and [G2532] the [G3588] lad [G3808] will go through [G1330] unto [G2193] here [G5602]. And [G2532] doing obeisance [G4352] we will return to [G4314] you [G1473].
6: took [G2983] And [G1161] Abraham] the [G3588] wood [G3586] [for] the [G3588] whole offering , and [G2532] placed it upon [G2007] Isaac the [G3588] son [G5207] of him [G1473]. And he took [G2983][G1161] with [G3326] [his] hands [G5495] the [G3588] fire [G4442] and [G2532] the [G3588] knife [G3162]; and [G2532] went [G4198] the [G3588] two [G1417] together .
7: said [G2036] And [G1161] Isaac] to [G4314] Abraham the [G3588] his father [G3962][G1473], Father [G3962]. the [G3588] And [G1161] he said [G2036], What [G5100] is it child [G5043]? And he said [G2036][G1161], look [G2400], the [G3588] fire [G4442] and [G2532] the [G3588] wood [G3586], where [G4226] is the [G3588] sheep [G4263] -- the [G3588] [one] for [G1519] a whole offering ?
8: said [G2036] And [G1161] Abraham], the [G3588] God '[G2316] will see [G3708] to himself [G1438] a sheep [G4263] for [G1519] a whole offering , child [G5043]. going [G4198] And [G1161] both together ,
9: they came [G2064] upon [G1909] the [G3588] place [G5117] which [G3739] spoke [G2036] to him [G1473] the [G3588] God '[G2316]. And [G2532] built [G3618] there [G1563] Abraham] the [G3588] altar [G2379]. And [G2532] he placed upon [it [G2007] the [G3588] wood [G3586]. And [G2532] binding hand and foot Isaac the [G3588] son [G5207] of him [G1473], he placed [G2007] him [G1473] upon [G1909] the [G3588] altar [G2379] upon [G1883] the [G3588] wood [G3586].
10: And [G2532] Abraham stretched [G1614] the [G3588] his hand [G5495][G1473] to take [G2983] the [G3588] knife [G3162] to slay [G4969] the [G3588] son [G5207] of him [G1473].
11: And [G2532] called [G2564] him [G1473] a word-conveyer (messenger) ' of Boss '[G2962] from out of [G1537] the [G3588] raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772]. And [G2532] he said [G2036], Abraham, Abraham. the [G3588] And [G1161] he said [G2036], look [G2400], [it is] I [G1473].
12: And [G2532] he said [G2036], You should not [G3361] put [G1911] the [G3588] your hand [G5495][G1473] upon [G1909] the [G3588] lad [G3808], nor [G3366] should you do [G4160] [anything] to him [G1473] by any means [G3367]. For now [G3568][G1063] I know [G1097] that [G3754] you fear [G5399][G1473] the [G3588] God '[G2316], and [G2532] spared not [G3756][G5339] the [G3588] son [G5207] your [G1473] the [G3588] beloved on account of [G1223] me [G1473].
13: And [G2532] Abraham looking up [with] the [G3588] his eyes [G3788][G1473], saw [G1492]. And [G2532] look [G2400], ram one [G1520] being held [G2722] in [G1519] a plant of a thicket by the [G3588] horns [G2768]. And [G2532] Abraham went [G4198] and [G2532] took [G2983] the [G3588] ram , and [G2532] he offered it [G1473] for [G1519] a whole offering instead of Isaac the [G3588] son [G5207] of him [G1473].
14: And [G2532] Abraham called [G2564] the [G3588] name [G3686] of the [G3588] that place [G5117][G1565], Boss '[G2962] saw [G1492]; that [G2443] they may say [G2036] today [G4594], in [G1722] the [G3588] raised-place (mountain) '[G3735] Boss '[G2962] was seen [G3708].
15: And [G2532] called [G2564] word-conveyer (messenger) ' of Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] Abraham a second [time] [G1208] from out of [G1537] the [G3588] raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772], saying [G3004],
16: According to [G2596] myself [G1683] I swear by an oath [G3660], says [G3004] Boss '[G2962], because [G3756][G1752] you did [G4160] the [G3588] this saying [G4487][G3778], and [G2532] you did not [G3756] spare [G5339] the [G3588] son [G5207] your [G1473] the [G3588] beloved on account of [G1223] me [G1473].
17: Assuredly [G2229] in blessing [G2127], I will bless [G2127] you [G1473], and [G2532] in multiplying [G4129] I will multiply [G4129] the [G3588] your seed [G4690][G1473] as [G5613] the [G3588] stars of the [G3588] raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772], and [G2532] as [G5613] the [G3588] sand the [G3588] by [G3844] the [G3588] edge [G5491] of the [G3588] sea [G2281]. And [G2532] will inherit [G2816] the [G3588] your seed [G4690][G1473] the [G3588] cities [G4172] of [your the [G3588] opponents [G5227].
18: And [G2532] will be blessed [G1757] by [G1722] the [G3588] your seed [G4690][G1473] all [G3956] the [G3588] tradition-peoples (ethnics) '[G1484] of the [G3588] land '[G1093]; because you obeyed [G5219] the [G3588] my [G1699] voice [G5456].
19: returned And [G1161] Abraham] to [G4314] the [G3588] his servants [G3816][G1473]. And [G2532] rising up they went [G4198] together to [G1909] the [G3588] Well [G5421] of the [G3588] Oath [G3727]. And [G2532] Abraham dwelt [G2730] near [G1909] the [G3588] Well [G5421] of the [G3588] Oath [G3727].
20: And it came to pass [G1096][G1161] after [G3326] the [G3588]se words [G4487][G3778], that [G2532] it was announced the [G3588] to Abraham, saying [G3004], look [G2400], has born [G5088] even Milcah [G2532] herself [G1473] sons [G5207] [to the [G3588] Nahor the [G3588] your brother [G1473].
21: Huz the [G3588] first-born [G4416], and [G2532] the [G3588] Buz his brother [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] Kemuel father [G3962] of Syrians,
22: and [G2532] the [G3588] Chesed, and [G2532] the [G3588] Hazo, and [G2532] the [G3588] Pildash, and [G2532] the [G3588] Jidlaph and [G2532] the [G3588] Bethuel.
23: And Bethuel [G1161] procreated [G1080] the [G3588] Rebekah. These [are] eight [G3638][G3778] sons [G5207] whom [G3739] Milcah bore [G5088] the [G3588] to Nahor the [G3588] brother of Abraham.
24: And [G2532] the [G3588] his concubine [G1473], whose [G3739] name [G3686] [was] Reumah, bore [G5088] even [G2532] herself [G1473], the [G3588] Tebah, and [G2532] the [G3588] Gaham, and [G2532] the [G3588] Thahash, and [G2532] the [G3588] Maachah.
