Job Chapter 4 -

» Job » Chapter 4
1
And undertaking [G5274][G1161], Eliphaz the [G3588] Temanite says [G3004],
2
If [G1487] we take [G2983] to speak [G2980] to [G4314] you [G1473], will you tire [G2872]? But strength [G2479][G1161] of your words [G4487][G1473], who [G5100] will endure [G5297]?
3
For since [G1487][G1063] you [G1473] admonished [G3560] many [G4183], and [G2532] hands [G5495] of weak comforted [G3870],
4
ones being weak [and] also [G5037] raised up [G1817] with words [G4487], in knees [G1119] and [G5037] [to the ones] powerless courage [G2294] you invested [G4060],
5
but now [G3568][G1161] comes [G2240] upon [G1909] you [G1473] misery [G4192], and [G2532] touched you [G1473]; [and now] you [G1473] are hurried [G4704].
6
Is it [G4220] not [G3756] that the [G3588] your fear [G5401][G1473] is in [G1722] folly , and [G2532] the [G3588] yhope [G1680] of us [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] evil [G2549] of the [G3588] your way [G3598][G1473]?
7
[Do you] remember [G3403] then [G3767] who [G5100] being pure [G2513] was destroyed ? or [G2228] when [G4219] true ones entirely from the root were destroyed ?
8
As [G2596] in which [G3739] manner [G5158] I looked [at] [G1492] the [G3588] [ones] plowing the [G3588] unnatural places , then the [G3588][G1161] ones sowing [G4687] them [G1473] griefs [G3601] will harvest [G2325] for themselves [G1438].
9
By order of Boss '[G2962] they will perish , and by [G1161] wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151] of his anger [G3709][G1473] they will be obliterated .
10
strength of lion [G3023], and voice [G5456][G1161] of lioness , and prancing [G1161] of dragons [G1404] will be extinguished [G4570].
11
small lion is destroyed by [G3844] the [G3588] not [G3361] having [G2192] game [G2339]; and cubs [G1161] of lions [G3023] forsook [G3007] one another .
12
to [G4314] me [G1473] And [G1161] it was spoken [G2980] clandestinely in [G1722] stealth [G2829]; will [G4220] not [G3756] receive [G1209] my [G1473] the [G3588] ear [G3775] extraordinary [things] by [G3844] him [G1473],
13
in [G1722] amazement from vision [G3705] my [G1473] nightly falling [G1968] fear [G5401] upon [G1909] men ?
14
But a shuddering awe [G1161] met with me [G1473][G4876], and [G2532] trembling [G5156], and [G2532] greatly [G3171] my [G1473] the [G3588] bones [G3747] quaked .
15
And [G2532] a wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151] upon [G1909] my face [G4383][G1473] came [G1904], shuddered [G5425] and [G1161] my [G1473] hair [G2359] and [G2532] flesh [G4561].
16
I rose up , and [G2532] knew not [G3756][G1921]; I saw [G1492] and [G2532] no [G3756] was there] appearance [G3444] before [G4253] my eyes [G3788][G1473], but only a breeze ; and [G2532] a voice [G5456] I heard], [saying ,
17
For what [G5100][G1063], will [G3361] pure [G2513] be a mortal before [G1726] the [G3588] Boss '[G2962]? or [G2228] from the [G3588] his works [G2041][G1473] [be] blameless [will] a man ?
18
If [G1487] even [G2596] his servants [G3816][G1473] he does not [G3756] trust '[G4100], and even [G2596][G1161] [considers] his word-conveyers (messengers) '[G1473] as crooked [G4646] in what [G5100] he thinks about ,
19
then the [G3588] [ones] [G1161] dwelling in [G2730] houses [G3614] of clay , of [G1537] whom [G3739] also [G2532] we [G1473] from out of [G1537] the [G3588] same [G1473] mortar [G4081] are -- he smites [G3817] them [G1473] of a moth [G4597] in manner [G5158].
20
And [G2532] from morning until [G2193] evening [G2073] no longer [G3765] they are ; by [G3844] [their the [G3588] not [G3361] being able [G1410] themselves [G1473] to help themselves [G1438] they] perish .
21
You raised up together the [G3588]ir vestige in [G1722] them [G1473]; they perished by [G3844] the [G3588] not [G3361] having [G2192] their [G1473] wisdom [G4678].
