2 Kings Chapter 16 - | Early Church Bible

1: In [G1722] year [G2094] seventeenth of Pekah son [G5207] of Remaliah, reigned Ahaz son [G5207] of Jotham king of Judah].
2: a son [G5207] [being] twenty [G1501] years [old [G2094] Ahaz was in [G1722] the [G3588] his reigning [G1473]. And [G2532] sixteen years [G2094] he reigned in [G1722] Jerusalem, and [G2532] he did not [G3756] do [G4160] the [G3588] upright [thing] in [G1722] eyes [G3788] of Boss '[G2962] his God '[G2316][G1473] as [G2531] David the [G3588] his father [G3962][G1473].
3: And [G2532] he went [G4198] in [G1722] way [G3598] of kings of Israel, and [G2532] indeed [G1065] the [G3588] son [G5207] of him [G1473] he led [G1236] through [G1722] fire [G4442], according to [G2596] the [G3588] abominations of the [G3588] tradition-peoples (ethnics) '[G1484], which [G3739] BOSS removed [G1808][G2962] in front [G4383] of the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel.
4: And [G2532] he sacrificed and [G2532] burned incense [G2370] in [G1722] the [G3588] high [places [G5308], and [G2532] upon [G1909] the [G3588] hills [G1015], and [G2532] underneath [G5270] every [G3956] tree [G3586] of woods .
5: Then [G5119] went up Rezin king of Syria], and [G2532] Pekah son [G5207] of Remaliah king of Israel, to [G1519] Jerusalem for [G1519] war [G4171]. And [G2532] they made assault against [G1909] Ahaz, and [G2532] they were not [G3756] able [G1410] to wage war [G4170].
6: In [G1722] the [G3588] that time [G2540][G1565] returned [G1994] Rezin king of Syria the [G3588] Elath the [G3588] to Syria, and [G2532] cast out [G1544] the [G3588] Jews from [G1537] Elath. And [G2532] Edomites came [G2064] into [G1519] Elath, and [G2532] they dwelt [G2730] there [G1563] until [G2193] the [G3588] this day [G2250][G3778].
7: And [G2532] Ahaz sent word-conveyers (messengers) ' to [G4314] Tiglath-pileser king of Assyrians, saying [G3004], your servant [G1401][G1473] and [G2532] your son [G5207][G1473] I am [G1473]. go up and [G2532] deliver [G4982] me [G1473] from [G1537] hand [G5495] of king of Syria and [G2532] from [G1537] hand [G5495] of king of Israel! the [G3588] [ones] rising up [G1881] against [G1909] me [G1473].
8: And [G2532] Ahaz took [G2983] the [G3588] silver and [G2532] the [G3588] gold [G5553] the [G3588] he found [G2147] in [G1722] treasuries [G2344] of the house [G3624] of Boss '[G2962] and [G2532] of house [G3624] of king , and [G2532] he sent to the [G3588] king of Assyrians gifts [G1435].
9: And [G2532] heard him [G1473] the [G3588] king of Assyrians]. And [G2532] ascended up king of Assyrians] against [G1519] Damascus, and [G2532] he seized [G4815] it [G1473], and [G2532] he resettled it [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] he killed Rezin [G2289].
10: And [G2532] went [G4198] the [G3588] king Ahaz] to [G1519] meet Tiglath-pileser king of Assyrians in [G1519] Damascus. And [G2532] he saw [G1492] the [G3588] altar [G2379], the [G3588] [one] in [G1722] Damascus. And [G2532] sent the [G3588] king Ahaz] to [G4314] Urijah the [G3588] priest [G2409] the [G3588] likeness [G3669] of the [G3588] altar [G2379], and [G2532] the [G3588] proportions of it [G1473], according to [G2596] all [G3956] its makings [G4162][G1473].
11: And [G2532] built [G3618] Urijah the [G3588] priest [G2409] the [G3588] altar [G2379] according to [G2596] all [G3956] as much as [G3745] sent the [G3588] king Ahaz] from [G1537] Damascus. Thus [G3779] did [G4160] Urijah the [G3588] priest [G2409] until [G2193] the [G3588] coming of [G2064] the [G3588] king from [G1537] Damascus.
12: And [G2532] came [G2064] the [G3588] king from [G1537] Damascus. And [G2532] looked [at] [G1492] the [G3588] king the [G3588] altar [G2379]. And [G2532] drew near [G4334] to [G4314] the [G3588] altar [G2379] the [G3588] king , and [G2532] went up unto [G1909] it [G1473].
13: And [G2532] he offered the [G3588] his whole burnt-offering [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] his sacrifice [offering [G2378][G1473]; and [G2532] of the [G3588] his libation [offering [G1473] he offered a libation [G4689] to it [G1473]; and [G2532] he poured upon [G1909] it [G1473] the [G3588] blood the [G3588] peace [offerings [G1516] of of him '[G1473] -- upon [G1909] the [G3588] altar [G2379],
14: And the [G3588][G1161] brass [G5470] altar [G2379] which [G3739] was before [G1726] Boss '[G2962] he brought forward [G4317][G1473] in front [G4383] of the [G3588] house [G3624] of Boss '[G2962], from the [G3588] between the [G3588] altar [G2379] and [G2532] from the [G3588] between the [G3588] house [G3624] of Boss '[G2962]. And [G2532] he put [G1325] it [G1473] by [G1909] side [G3382] of the [G3588] altar [G2379] according to [G2596] north [G1005].
15: And [G2532] gave charge [G1781] the [G3588] king Ahaz] [to the [G3588] Uriah the [G3588] priest [G2409], saying [G3004], Upon [G1909] the [G3588] altar [G2379] the [G3588] great [G3173] offer [G4374] the [G3588] whole burnt-offering , the [G3588] early morning [sacrifice [G4407], and [G2532] the [G3588] sacrifice [offering [G2378] the [G3588] evening , and [G2532] the [G3588] whole burnt-offerings of the [G3588] king , and [G2532] the [G3588] his sacrifice [offerings [G2378][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] whole burnt-offering of all [G3956] the [G3588] people [G2992], and [G2532] the [G3588]ir sacrifice [offerings [G2378][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588]ir libation [offerings [G1473]! And [G2532] all [G3956] blood of whole burnt-offering , and [G2532] all [G3956] blood of sacrifice [offering [G2378] upon [G1909] it [G1473] you will pour out [G1632]! And [G2532] the [G3588] altar [G2379] of the [G3588] brass [G5470] will be for me [G1473] in [G1519] the morning [G4404].
16: And [G2532] did [G4160] Urijah the [G3588] priest [G2409] according to [G2596] all [G3956] as much as [G3745] gave charge [G1781] to him [G1473] Ahaz the [G3588] king .
17: And [G2532] cut down the [G3588] king Ahaz] the [G3588] joinery of the [G3588] bases , and [G2532] he moved [G3332] from them [G1473] the [G3588] bathing tub ; and [G2532] the [G3588] sea [G2281] he lowered [G2507] from the [G3588] oxen [G1016] of the [G3588] brass [G5470], of the [ones] the [G3588] underneath [G5270] it [G1473], and [G2532] he put [G1325] it [G1473] upon [G1909] base a stone [G3035].
18: And [G2532] the [G3588] foundation [G2310] of the [G3588] chair [G2515] of the [G3588] Sabbaths [G4521] he built [G3618] in [G1722] house [G3624] of Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] the [G3588] entrance [G1529] of the [G3588] king the [G3588] [one] outside [G1854], he turned [G1994] in [G1722] house [G3624] of Boss '[G2962] from in front [G4383] [of the] king of Assyrians.
19: And [G2532] the [G3588] rest [G3062] of the [G3588] words [G3056] of Ahaz, as much as [G3745] he did [G4160], look [are] not [G3756][G2400] these [G3778] written [G1125] upon [G1909] scroll of words [G3056] of the [G3588] days [G2250] of the [G3588] kings of Judah?
20: And [G2532] Ahaz slept [G2837] with [G3326] the [G3588] his fathers [G3962][G1473], and [G2532] he was entombed [G2290] with [G3326] the [G3588] his fathers [G3962] in [G1722] city [G4172] of David. And [G2532] reigned Hezekiah son [G5207] of him [G1473] instead of him [G1473].
