1 Samuel Chapter 13 - | Early Church Bible

1: [was] a son [G5207] a year [G1763] Saul] in [G1722] the [G3588] his taking reign [G1473], and [G2532] two [G1417] years [G2094] he reigned in [G1722] Israel.
2: And [G2532] chose [G1586] for himself [G1438] Saul] three [G5140] thousand [G5505] men from [G1537] the [G3588] men of Israel. And [G2532] there were with [G3326] Saul two thousand [G1367] in [G1722] Michmash, and [G2532] in [G1722] the [G3588] raised-place (mountain) '[G3735] of Beth-el, and [G2532] a thousand [G5507] were with [G3326] Jonathan in [G1722] Gibeah the [G3588] of Benjamin. And [G2532] the [G3588] rest [G2645] of the [G3588] people [G2992] he sent out [G1821], each [man [G1538] unto [G1519] the [G3588] his tent [G4638][G1473].
3: And [G2532] Jonathan struck [G3960] the [G3588] Nasib of the [G3588] Philistines , the [G3588] [one] in [G1722] the [G3588] hill [G1015]. And [G2532] heard the [G3588] Philistines , and [G2532] Saul trumped [G4537] trumpet [G4536] in [G1519] all [G3956] the [G3588] land '[G1093], saying [G3004], disregard [us the [G3588] servants [G1401].
4: And [G2532] all [G3956] Israel heard , saying [G3004], Saul has smitten [G3817] the [G3588] Nasib of the [G3588] Philistines ; and [G2532] Israel was put to shame by [G1722] the [G3588] Philistines . And [G2532] ascended up the [G3588] people [G2992] after [G3694] Saul in [G1722] Gilgal.
5: And [G2532] the [G3588] Philistines gather together [G4863] for [G1519] war [G4171] against [G4314] the [G3588] Israel. And [G2532] they go up upon [G1909] the [G3588] Israel for [G1519] war [G4171] -- thirty [G5144] thousand [G5505] chariots , and [G2532] six [G1803] thousand [G5505] horsemen [G2460], and [G2532] people [G2992] as [G5613] the [G3588] sand the [G3588] by [G3844] the [G3588] edge [G5491] of the [G3588] sea [G2281] in the [G3588] multitude [G4128]. And [G2532] they go up and [G2532] camp in [G1722] Michmash opposite according to [G2596] south [G3558] of Beth-aven.
6: And [G2532] man of Israel looked [at] [G1492] that [G3754] they were in a strait [G1473] to not lead forward [G3361][G4317] for them [G1473]; and [G2532] hid [G2928] the [G3588] people [G2992] in [G1722] the [G3588] caves [G4693], and [G2532] in [G1722] the [G3588] lairs , and [G2532] in [G1722] the [G3588] rocks [G4073], and [G2532] in [G1722] the [G3588] excavations , and [G2532] in [G1722] the [G3588] pits .
7: And [G2532] the [G3588] [ones] passing over [G1224], passed over [G1224] the [G3588] Jordan into [G1519] land '[G1093] of Gad and [G2532] Gilead. And [G2532] Saul still [G2089] was in [G1722] Gilgal, and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] people [G2992] were receded [G1839] after [G3694] him [G1473].
8: And [G2532] he stopped [G1257] seven [G2033] days [G2250], [according] to the [G3588] testimony [G3142] as [G5613] Samuel said [G2036]. And [G2532] did not [G3756] come [G3854] Samuel] unto [G1519] Gilgal, and [G2532] scattered [G1289] the [G3588] his people [G2992][G1473] from him [G1473].
9: And [G2532] Saul said [G2036], Lead forward [animals [G4317] so that [G3704] I should offer [G4160] a whole burnt-offering , and [G2532] peace [offerings [G1516]; and [G2532] he offered the [G3588] whole burnt-offering .
10: And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] as [G5613] he completed [G4931] offering the [G3588] whole burnt-offering , that [G2532] look [G2400], Samuel arrived [G3854]. And [G2532] Saul came forth [G1831] to [G1519] meet him [G1473], to bless [G2127] him [G1473].
11: And [G2532] Samuel said [G2036], What [G5100] have you done [G4160]? And [G2532] Saul said [G2036], Because [G1360] I saw [G1492] that [G3754] scattered [G1289] the [G3588] people [G2992] from me [G1473], and [G2532] you [G1473] did not come [G3756][G3854] in [G1722] the [G3588] testimony [G3142] of the [G3588] days [G2250] as [G5613] you set in order [G1299], and [G2532] the [G3588] Philistines were gathered together [G4863] in [G1519] Michmash,
12: and [G2532] I said [G2036], Now [G3568] will come down [G2597] the [G3588] Philistines to [G4314] me [G1473] in [G1519] Gilgal, and [G2532] the [G3588] face [G4383] of the [G3588] Boss '[G2962] I beseeched not [G3756][G1189]; and [G2532] I took control myself [G1467] and [G2532] offered the [G3588] whole burnt-offering .
13: And [G2532] Samuel said [G2036] to [G4314] Saul, It is folly [G3154] to you [G1473] that [G3754] you kept not [G3756][G5442] the [G3588] my commandment [G1785][G1473] which [G3739] gave charge [G1781] to you [G1473] Boss '[G2962]. As [G5613] BOSS prepared [G2090][G2962] the [G3588] your government '[G1473] over [G1909] Israel unto [G2193] age (term) `.
14: And [G2532] now [G3568] the [G3588] your government '[G1473] will not [G3756] stand [G2476] with you [G1473]. And [G2532] BOSS will seek [G2212][G2962] for himself [G1438] a man according to [G2596] the [G3588] his heart [G2588][G1473]. And [G2532] BOSS will give charge [G1781][G2962] to him [G1473] for [G1519] ruler over [G1909] the [G3588] his people [G2992][G1473], for [G3754] you did not [G3756] keep [G5442] as many [things] as [G3745] gave charge [G1781] to you [G1473] the [G3588] Boss '[G2962].
15: And [G2532] Samuel rose up and [G2532] went forth from out of [G1537] Gilgal unto [G1519] hill [G1015] of Benjamin. And [G2532] Saul numbered [G1980] the [G3588] people [G2992] the [G3588] being found [G2147] with [G3326] him [G1473], about [G5613] six hundred [G1812] men .
16: And [G2532] Saul and [G2532] Jonathan son [G5207] of him [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] people [G2992] the [G3588] being found [G2147] with [G3326] him [G1473], sat down [G2523] in [G1722] Gibeah of Benjamin. And [G2532] the [G3588] Philistines camped in [G1722] Michmash.
17: And [G2532] [men] came forth [G1831] to destroy [G1311] out of [G1537] field of Philistines in [G1722] three [G5140] companies . the [G3588] company the [G3588] [one] [G1520] looking upon [G1914] way [G3598] of Ophrah, towards [G1909] the [G3588] land '[G1093] of Shual.
18: And [G2532] company the [G3588] [one] [G1520] looking upon [G1914] way [G3598] of Beth-horon. And [G2532] the [G3588] company the [G3588] [one] [G1520] looking upon [G1914] way [G3598] of Gibeah, the [G3588] [one] looking towards [G1909] Gai, the [G3588] Zeboim the [G3588] wilderness [G2048].
19: And [G2532] a fabricator [G5045] of iron [G4604] was not [G3756] found [G2147] in [G1722] all [G3956] the [G3588] land '[G1093] of Israel, for [G3754] said [G2036] the [G3588] Philistines , Perhaps [G3379] will make [G4160] the [G3588] Hebrews] a broadsword [G4501] and [G2532] spear .
20: And [G2532] went down [G2597] all [G3956] Israel] into [G1519] land '[G1093] of Philistines , to forge for each [G1538] the [G3588] his own reaping hook [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] his utensil [G4632][G1473], and [G2532] each [G1538] the [G3588] his axe [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] his sickle [G1407][G1473].
21: And [G2532] was the [G3588] gathering of crops prepared [G2092] the [G3588] to harvest [G2325]. But for [G1519][G1161] the [G3588] items [G4632] there was [a charge of three [G5140] shekels for [G1519] the [G3588] tooth [G3599], and [G2532] to the [G3588] axe , and [G2532] to the [G3588] sickle [G1407]; support [camp [G5287] was the [G3588] same [G1473].
22: And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] in [G1722] the [G3588] days [G2250] of the [G3588] war [G4171], that [G2532] there was not [G3756] found [G2147] broadsword [G4501] and [G2532] spear in [G1722] hand [G5495] of all [G3956] the [G3588] people [G2992], of the [G3588] [one] with [G3326] Saul and [G2532] Jonathan. But [G2532] it was found [G2147] [with] the [G3588] Saul and [G2532] the [G3588] Jonathan son [G5207] of him [G1473].
23: And [G2532] went forth [G1831] from [G1537] support [camp [G5287] of the [G3588] Philistines the [place] the [G3588] on [G1722] the [G3588] other side [G4008] of Michmash.
