And [G2532] there came forth [G1831] all [G3956] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel, and [G2532] held an assembly the [G3588] congregation [G4864] as [G5613] man one [G1520], from Dan and [G2532] unto [G2193] Beer-sheba, and [G2532] land '[G1093] of Gilead, before [G4314] Boss '[G2962] in [G1519] Mizpeh.

And [G2532] established [G2476] the [G3588] region [G2824] all [G3956] of the [G3588] people [G2992] in all [G3956] the [G3588] tribes [G5443] of the [G3588] Israel in [G1722] the [G3588] assembly [G1577] of the [G3588] people [G2992] of the [G3588] God '[G2316] -- four hundred [G5071] thousand [G5505] men on foot unsheathing [G4685] broadsword [G4501].

And [G2532] heard the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Benjamin] that [G3754] went up the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel] unto [G1519] Mizpeh. And [G2532] said [G2036] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel], Tell [G2980] where [G4226] took place [G1096] the [G3588] evil [G2549] this [G3778]?

And [G2532] answered the [G3588] man , the [G3588] Levite, the [G3588] husband of the [G3588] woman [G1135] the [G3588] having been murdered [G5407]. And [G2532] he said [G2036], unto [G1519] Gibeah the [G3588] of Benjamin I came [G2064], I [G1473] and [G2532] the [G3588] my concubine [G1473] the [G3588] to rest up [G2647].

And [G2532] rose up against [G1909] me [G1473] the [G3588] men , the [G3588] [ones] of the [G3588] Gibeah, and [G2532] they encircled [G4033] upon [G1909] me [G1473], upon [G1909] the [G3588] house [G3614] at night [G3571]; and [G2532] me [G1473] they wanted [G2309] to kill , and [G2532] the [G3588] my concubine [G1473] they humbled [G5013], and [G2532] sported with [G1702] her [G1473], and [G2532] she died .

And [G2532] I took hold [G1949] of the [G3588] my concubine [G1473], and [G2532] I dismembered her [G1473], and [G2532] I sent out [G1821] into [G1722] every [G3956] border [G3725] of inheritance [G2817] of Israel; for [G3754] they committed [G4160] folly in [G1722] Israel.

look [G2400], all [G3956] you [G1473], the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel, make [G1325] to yourselves [G1473] an account [G3056] and [G2532] plan [G1012] here [G5602]!

And [G2532] rose up all [G3956] the [G3588] people [G2992] as [G5613] man one [G1520], saying [G3004], We will not [G3756] enter [G1525] -- a man into [G1519] the [G3588] his tent [G4638][G1473], and [G2532] we will not [G3756] turn aside [G1578] -- a man to [G1519] the [G3588] his house [G3624][G1473].

And [G2532] now [G3568] the [G3588] thing [G4487] this [is [G3778] which [G3739] we will do [G4160] the [G3588] to Gibeah; we will go up against [G1909] it [G1473] by [G1722] lot [G2819].

And [G2532] we will take [G2983] ten [G1176] men [out of the [G3588] a hundred [G1540] for [G1519] all [G3956] tribes [G5443] of Israel, and [G2532] a hundred [G1540] [out of the [G3588] a thousand [men [G5507], and [G2532] a thousand [G5507] [out of the [G3588] ten-thousand [G3463] [men], to take [G2983] a provision [G1979] for the [G3588] people [G2992], to complete [the task [G2005] to the [G3588] [ones] in [G1519] going [G4198] unto [G1519] the [G3588] Gibeah the [G3588] of Benjamin, against [G2596] all [G3956] the [G3588] folly which [G3739] they did [G4160] in [G1722] Israel.

And [G2532] came together [G4863] every [G3956] man of Israel to [G1519] the [G3588] city [G4172] as [G5613] man one [G1520] coming [G2064].

And [G2532] sent out [G1821] the [G3588] tribes [G5443] of Israel] men in [G1722] all [G3956] tribe [G5443] of Benjamin, saying [G3004], What [G5100] [is the [G3588] this evil [G2549][G3778] that the [G3588] took place [G1096] among [G1722] you [G1473]?

And [G2532] now [G3568], give [over] [G1325] the [G3588] men the [G3588] impious the [G3588] in [G1722] Gibeah, the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Belial, and [G2532] we will kill [G2289] them [G1473] and [G2532] lift away [G1808] evil [G2549] from [G1537] Israel. But [G2532] did not [G3756] want [G2309] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Benjamin] to hear the [G3588] voice [G5456] of the [G3588]ir brothers [G1473] [of the] sons [G5207] of Israel.

And [G2532] came together [G4863] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Benjamin] from [G1537] the [G3588]ir cities [G4172][G1473] to [G1519] Gibeah, to go forth [G1831] into [G1519] battle array against [G4314] sons [G5207] of Israel.

And [G2532] numbered [G1980] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Benjamin] in [G1722] the [G3588] that day [G2250][G1565] of [G1537] the [G3588] cities [G4172], twenty [G1501][G2532] five [G4002] thousand [G5505] men unsheathing [G4685] broadsword [G4501], apart from [G5565] the [G3588] [ones] dwelling [G2730] the [G3588] in Gibeah.

These [G3778] numbered [G1980] seven hundred men chosen [G1588] from [G1537] all [G3956] of the [G3588] people [G2992], ambidextrous ; all [G3956] these [G3778] [were] slingers casting stones [G3037] [accurate] to [G4314] the [G3588] hair [G2359], and [G2532] not [G3756] missing .

And [G2532] every [G3956] man of Israel -- they were numbered [G1980], separate [G5565] from the [G3588] sons [G5207] of the [G3588] Benjamin, four hundred [G5071] thousand [G5505] men unsheathing [G4685] broadsword [G4501]; all [G3956] these [G3778] [were] men warriors .

And [G2532] they rose up and [G2532] went up unto [G1519] Beth-el, and [G2532] asked [G1905] of [G1722] the [G3588] God '[G2316]. And [G2532] said [G2036] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel], Who [G5100] will go up to us [G1473] guiding to wage war [G4170] with [G3326] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Benjamin? And [G2532] BOSS said [G2036][G2962], Judah will go up guiding .

And [G2532] rose up the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel] in the morning [G4404], and [G2532] camped at [G1909] Gibeah.

And [G2532] went forth [G1831] every [G3956] man of Israel] for [G1519] war [G4171] against [G3326] Benjamin; and [G2532] he deployed against [G3326] them [G1473] -- man of Israel for [G1519] war [G4171] against [G4314] the [G3588] Gibeah.

And [G2532] came forth [G1831] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Benjamin from [G1537] the [G3588] city [G4172], and [G2532] utterly destroyed [G1311] in [G1722] Israel on [G1722] the [G3588] that day [G2250][G1473] two [G1417] and [G2532] twenty [G1501] thousand [G5505] men upon [G1909] the [G3588] land '[G1093].

And [G2532] strengthened [G1765] the [G3588] people [G2992] -- man of Israel, and [G2532] proceeded [G4369] to deploy for war [G4171] in [G1722] the [G3588] place [G5117] in which [G3739] he deployed there [G1563] on [G1722] the [G3588] day [G2250] the [G3588] first [G4413].

And [G2532] ascended up the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel], and [G2532] they wept [G2799] before [G1799] Boss '[G2962] until [G2193] evening [G2073], and [G2532] they asked [G1905] of [G1722] Boss '[G2962], saying [G3004], will [G1487] I proceed [G4369] to draw near [G4331] for [G1519] war [G4171] against [G3326] sons [G5207] of Benjamin the [G3588] my brother [G1473]? And [G2532] BOSS said [G2036][G2962], go up against [G4314] him [G1473]!

And [G2532] came forward [G4334] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel] against [G4314] sons [G5207] of Benjamin in [G1722] the [G3588] day [G2250] the [G3588] second [G1208].

And [G2532] Benjamin came forth [G1831] to [G1519] meet them [G1473] from [G1537] the [G3588] Gibeah on [G1722] the [G3588] day [G2250] the [G3588] second [G1208]. And [G2532] they utterly destroyed [G1311] yet [G2089] of [G1537] the [G3588] people [G2992] of Israel eighteen thousand [G5505] men upon [G1909] the [G3588] land '[G1093], all [G3956] these [G3778] unsheathing [G4685] broadsword [G4501].

And [G2532] ascended up all [G3956] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel], and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] people [G2992], and [G2532] they came [G2064] unto [G1519] Beth-el and [G2532] wept [G2799], and [G2532] sat down [G2523] there [G1563] before [G1725] Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] fasted [G3522] in [G1722] the [G3588] that day [G2250][G1565] until [G2193] evening [G2073]; and [G2532] they offered a whole burnt-offering [G3646] for deliverance [G4992] before [G1725] Boss '[G2962].

And [G2532] asked [G1905] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel] in [G1722] Boss '[G2962]. And [G2532] [was] there [G1563] the [G3588] ark [G2787] of covenant [G1242] [of the] Boss '[G2962] in [G1722] the [G3588] those days [G2250][G1565].

And [G2532] Phinehas son [G5207] of Eleazar, son [G5207] of Aaron stood [G3936] before [G1799] it [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] those days [G2250][G1565], saying [G3004], will [G1487] I proceed [G4369] still [G2089] to go forth [G1831] for [G1519] war [G4171] against [G3326] sons [G5207] of Benjamin the [G3588] my brother [G1473], or [G2228] slacken [G2869]? And [G2532] BOSS said [G2036][G2962], go up , and [G2532] tomorrow I will deliver [G3860] him [G1473] into [G1722] the [G3588] your hand [G5495][G1473].

And [G2532] placed [G5087] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel] an ambush [G1749] in [G1722] the [G3588] Gibeah round about [G2945].

And [G2532] went up the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel] against [G4314] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Benjamin on [G1722] the [G3588] day [G2250] the [G3588] third [G5154]. And [G2532] they deployed against [G4314] the [G3588] Gibeah as [G2531] once [before , and [G2532] once [before that .

And [G2532] came forth [G1831] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Benjamin] for [G1519] meeting the [G3588] people [G2992], and [G2532] were drawn away [G1828] from [G1537] the [G3588] city [G4172]. And [G2532] they began to strike [G5180] of [G1537] the [G3588] people [G2992] (slain as [G2531] once [before , and [G2532] once [before that ) in [G1722] the [G3588] ways [G3598] which [G3739] there is one [G1520] going up to [G1519] Beth-el, and [G2532] one [G1520] going up to [G1519] Gibeah in [G1722] field , about [G5616] thirty [G5144] men of [G1722] the [G3588] Israel.

And [G2532] said [G2036] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Benjamin], They stumble [G4350][G1473] before [G1799] us [G1473] as [G2531] before [G1715]. And [G2532] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel said [G2036], We should flee [G5343] and [G2532] pull them out [G1473] from [G1537] the [G3588] city [G4172] into [G1519] the [G3588] ways [G3598].

And [G2532] every [G3956] man of Israel rose up from [G1537] the [G3588] his place [G5117][G1473], and [G2532] deployed in [G1722] Baal-tamar. And [G2532] the [G3588] ambush [G1749] of Israel wrestled from out of [G1537] the [G3588] place [G5117] of it [G1473] from descent [G1424] of the [G3588] Gibeah.

And [G2532] they arrived [G3854] right opposite Gibeah -- ten [G1176] thousand [G5505] men chosen [G1588] from out of [G1537] all [G3956] Israel. And [G2532] the [G3588] battle [G4171] weighed down , and [G2532] they [G1473] did not [G3756] know [G1097] that [G3754] has been affixed upon [G1909] them [G1473] the [G3588] hurt [G2549].

And [G2532] put to flight Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] Benjamin] before [G2596][G4383] Israel. And [G2532] utterly destroyed [G1311] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel] among [G1722] the [G3588] Benjamin in [G1722] the [G3588] that day [G2250][G1565] twenty [G1501] and [G2532] five [G4002] thousand [G5505] and [G2532] a hundred [G1540] men , all [G3956] these [G3778] unsheathing [G4685] broadsword [G4501].

And [G2532] looked [at] [G1492] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Benjamin] that [G3754] they were put to flight . And [G2532] gave [G1325] man of Israel the [G3588] place to Benjamin [G5117], for [G3754] they hoped [G1679] upon [G1909] the [G3588] ambush [G1749] which [G3739] they arranged [G5021] near [G4314] the [G3588] Gibeah.

And [G2532] the [G3588] ambush [G1749] advanced [G3729], and [G2532] they poured out [G1632] against [G4314] the [G3588] Gibeah. And [G2532] went [G4198] the [G3588] ambush [G1749], and [G2532] they struck [G3960] all [G3650] the [G3588] city [G4172] by [G1722] mouth [G4750] of broadsword [G4501].

And [G2532] the [G3588] arranged order was [with the] man of Israel with [G4314] the [G3588] ambush [G1749], for the [G3588]m to offer [G1473] a signal-fire of the [G3588] smoke [G2586] from the [G3588] city [G4172].

And [G2532] turned man of Israel] in [G1722] the [G3588] battle [G4171]. And [G2532] Benjamin began the [G3588] to strike [G5180] slain against [G1722] the [G3588] man of Israel about [G5613] thirty [G5144] men . For [G3754] they said [G2036], Surely [G4133] being put to flight he was put to flight [G1473] before [G1726] us [G1473] as [G2531] the [G3588] battle [G4171] the [G3588] before [G1715].

And [G2532] the [G3588] signal-fire began to go up from [G1537] the [G3588] city [G4172] [as] a column [G4769] of smoke [G2586]. And [G2532] Benjamin looked [G1914] behind [G3694] him [G1473], and [G2532] look [G2400], [there] went up consummation [G4930] of the [G3588] city [G4172] unto [G1519] the [G3588] raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772].

And [G2532] man of Israel turned [G1994]. And [G2532] hastened [G4692] man of Benjamin], for [G2532] he looked [at] [G1492] that [G3754] has touched him [G1473] the [G3588] a bad [thing] [G2549].

And [G2532] they leaned [G2827] before [G1799] man of Israel in [G1519] the [G3588] way [G3598] of the [G3588] wilderness [G2048], and [G2532] the [G3588] battle [G4171] fell unawares upon [G1909] them [G1473]; and [G2532] the [G3588] [ones] from the [G3588] cities [G4172] -- they utterly destroyed [G1311] them [G1473] in [G1722] their midst [G3319][G1473].

And [G2532] they cut up [G2629] the [G3588] Benjamin, and [G2532] pursued [G1377] him [G1473] according to [G2596] his feet [G4228][G1473], and [G2532] trampled [G2662] him [G1473] unto [G2193] before [G1727] Gibeah towards [G4314] rising of sun [G2246].

And [G2532] fell [G4098] of [G1537] the [G3588] Benjamin eighteen thousand [G5505] men ; the [G3588] all [G3956] these [G3778] men of power [G1415].

And [G2532] they turned aside [G1578] and [G2532] fled [G5343] into [G1519] the [G3588] wilderness [G2048] to [G4314] the [G3588] rock [G4073] of the [G3588] Rimmon. And [G2532] they gleaned him [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] ways [G3598] -- five [G4002] thousand [G5505] men . And [G2532] they cleaved [G4347] after [G3694] them [G1473] unto [G2193] Gidom, and [G2532] struck [G3960] of [G1537] them [G1473] two thousand [G1367] men .

And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] all [G3956] the [G3588] [ones] falling [G4098] among [G1722] the [G3588] Benjamin [was] twenty-five thousand [G5505] men unsheathing [G4685] broadsword [G4501] in [G1722] the [G3588] that day [G2250][G1565]; the [G3588] all [G3956] these [G3778] [were] men of power [G1411].

And [G2532] they turned aside [G1578] and [G2532] fled [G5343] into [G1519] the [G3588] wilderness [G2048] to [G4314] the [G3588] rock [G4073] of the [G3588] Rimmon -- six hundred [G1812] men ; and [G2532] they sat down [G2523] at [G1722] rock [G4073] of Rimmon four months [G5072].

And [G2532] man of Israel turned against [G1519] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Benjamin, and [G2532] they struck [G3960] them [G1473] by [G1722] mouth [G4750] of broadsword [G4501], from city [G4172] next [G1836], unto [G2193] beast [G2934], and [G2532] unto [G2193] all [G3956] the [G3588] being found [G2147] in [G1519] the [G3588] cities [G4172]; and [G2532] the [G3588] cities [G4172] the [G3588] being found [G2147] they burned [G1714] by [G1722] fire [G4442].
