Judges Chapter 21 - | Early Church Bible

1: And [G2532] man of Israel swore by an oath [G3660] in [G1722] Mizpeh, saying [G3004], man from [G1537] us [G1473] No [G3756] will give [G1325] his daughter [G2364][G1473] the [G3588] to Benjamin for [G1519] a wife [G1135].
2: And [G2532] came [G3854] all [G3956] the [G3588] people [G2992] unto [G1519] Beth-el, and [G2532] sat down [G2523] there [G1563] until [G2193] evening [G2073] before [G1799] the [G3588] God '[G2316]. And [G2532] they lifted [G1869] the [G3588]ir voice [G5456][G1473] and [G2532] wept [G2799] weeping [G2805] a great [G3173].
3: And [G2532] they said [G2036], Why [G2444], O Boss '[G2962] God '[G2316] of Israel, was this taken place [G1096][G3778] in [G1722] the [G3588] Israel, the [G3588] to overlook [G1980] today [G4594] in [G1722] the [G3588] Israel tribe [G5443] one [G1520]?
4: And [G2532] it happened [G1096] the [G3588] next day [G1887] that [G2532] rose early [G3719] the [G3588] people [G2992], and [G2532] they built [G3618] there [G1563] an altar [G2379], and [G2532] offered a whole burnt-offering [G3646] of deliverance [G4991].
5: And [G2532] said [G2036] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel], Who [is [G5100] the [G3588] [one] not [G3361] going up among [G1722] the [G3588] assembly [G1577] from [G1537] all [G3956] of tribes [G5443] of Israel to [G4314] Boss '[G2962]? For [G3754] the [G3588] oath [G3727] a great [G3173] there was [concerning] the [G3588] [one] not [G3361] going up to [G4314] Boss '[G2962] in [G1519] Mizpeh, saying [G3004], To death [G2288] he will die .
6: And [G2532] relented [G3870] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel] concerning [G4012] Benjamin the [G3588]ir brother [G1473], and [G2532] said [G2036], is removed today [G4594] tribe [G5443] one [G1520] from [G1437] Israel].
7: What [G5100] should we do [G4160] to them [G1473], to the [G3588] [ones] left behind [G5275] for [G1519] wives [G1135], for [G2532] we [G1473] swore by an oath [G3660] to the [G3588] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] to not [G3361] give [G1325] to them [G1473] from the [G3588] our daughters [G2364][G1473] for [G1519] wives [G1135]?
8: And [G2532] they said [G2036], What [G5100] one [G1520] [is there] of the [G3588] tribes [G5443] of Israel which [G3748] did not [G3756] go up to [G4314] Boss '[G2962] in [G1519] Mizpeh? And [G2532] look [G2400], no [G3756] came [G2064] man to [G1519] the [G3588] camp [G3925] from Jabish Gilead to [G1519] the [G3588] assembly [G1577].
9: And [G2532] were numbered [G1980] the [G3588] people [G2992], And [G2532] look [G2400], there not [G3756] is there [G1563] a man from the [G3588] [ones] dwelling in [G2730] Jabish Gilead.
10: And [G2532] sent there [G1563] the [G3588] congregation [G4864] twelve [G1427] thousand [G5505] men from the [G3588] sons [G5207] of for the [G3588]ce [G1411]. And [G2532] they gave charge [G1781] to them [G1473], saying [G3004], Go [G4198] and [G2532] strike [G3960] all [G3956] the [G3588] [ones] dwelling in [G2730] Jabish Gilead by [G1722] mouth [G4750] of broadsword [G4501], even [G2532] the [G3588] women [G1135] and [G2532] the [G3588] people [G2992]!
11: And [G2532] this [G3778] [is] the [G3588] word [G3056] which [G3739] you will do [G4160]. Every [G3956] male and [G2532] every [G3956] woman [G1135] knowing [G1097] marriage-bed [G2845] of a man you will devote to consumption .
12: And [G2532] they found [G2147] off ones dwelling [G2730] Jabish Gilead four hundred [G5071] young women virgins [G3933], the [G3588] [ones] [that] knew not [G3756][G1097] a man , in [G1519] marriage-bed [G2845] of a man . And [G2532] they conveyed ' them [G1473] into [G1519] the [G3588] camp [G3925] in [G1519] Shiloh which [G3739] is in [G1722] land '[G1093] of Canaan.
13: And [G2532] sent all [G3956] the [G3588] congregation [G4864] and [G2532] spoke [G2980] to [G4314] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Benjamin, of the [G3588] [ones] at [G1722] the [G3588] rock [G4073] of Rimmon, and [G2532] they called [G2564] them [G1473] for [G1519] peace [G1515].
14: And [G2532] Benjamin returned [G1994] to [G4314] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel in [G1722] the [G3588] that time [G2540][G1565], and [G2532] they gave [G1325] them [G1473] the [G3588] women [G1135] who [G3748] were of [G1537] the [G3588] women [G1135] of Jabish Gilead, and [G2532] it pleased them [G1473] thus [G3779].
15: And [G2532] the [G3588] people [G2992] were comforted [G3870] concerning [G1909] the [G3588] Benjamin, for [G3754] made [G4160] the [G3588] Boss '[G2962] a breach among [G1722] the [G3588] tribes [G5443] of Israel.
16: And [G2532] said [G2036] the [G3588] elders [G4245] of the [G3588] congregation [G4864], What [G5100] will we do [G4160] to the [G3588] remaining [G1954] for [G1519] the [G3588] wives [G1135], [now] that [G3754] was removed from [G1537] the [G3588] Benjamin woman [G1135]?
17: And [G2532] he said [G2036], An inheritance [G2817] for the ones surviving [G1295] to the [G3588] Benjamin, that [G2532] in no way should be wiped away [G1813] a tribe [G5443] from [G1437] Israel.
18: For [G2532] we [G1473] are not [G3756] able [G1410] to give [G1325] to them [G1473] wives [G1135] from the [G3588] our daughters [G2364][G1473], for [G3754] swore by an oath [G3660] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel], saying [G3004], Accursed [is [G1944] the [G3588] [one] giving [G1325] a wife [G1135] the [G3588] to Benjamin.
19: And [G2532] they said [G2036], look [G2400], [there is] a holiday [G1859] to the [G3588] Boss '[G2962] in [G1722] Shiloh from days [G2250] to [G1519] days [G2250], which [G3739] is from north [G1005] of the [G3588] Beth-el, according to [G2596] rising of sun [G2246], upon [G1722] the [G3588] corridor the [G3588] going up from [G1537] Beth-el unto [G1519] Shechem, and [G2532] from south [G3558] of the [G3588] Lebonah.
20: And [G2532] they gave charge [G1781] to the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Benjamin, saying [G3004], Go forth and [G2532] lie in wait [G1748] at [G1722] the [G3588] vineyards !
21: And [G2532] look [G3708] and [G2532] look [G2400], whenever [G5613] should come forth [G1831] the [G3588] daughters [G2364] of the [G3588] [ones] dwelling in [G2730] Shiloh] joining in a dance with [G1722] a company of dancers [G5525], then [G2532] you will come forth [G1831] from the [G3588] vineyards , and [G2532] let seize by force to himself [G1438] a man a wife [G1135] from the [G3588] daughters [G2364] of Shiloh! then [G2532] you will depart unto [G1519] the [G3588] land '[G1093] of Benjamin.
22: And [G2532] it will be whenever [G3752] should come [G2064] the [G3588]ir fathers [G3962][G1473] or [G2228] the [G3588]ir brothers [G1473] to quarrel [G2919] with [G4314] us [G1473], that [G2532] we will say [G2046] to [G4314] them [G1473], Show compassion on [G1653] them [G1473]! for [G3754] did not take [G3756][G2983] a man to himself [G1438] a wife [G1135] in [G1722] the [G3588] battle [G4171], for [G3754] you did not [G3756][G1473] give [G1325] to them [G1473] according to [G2596] the [G3588] time [G2540] which [G3739] you trespassed .
23: And [G2532] did [G4160] thus [G3779] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Benjamin]; and [G2532] they took [G2983] wives [G1135] according to [G2596] the [G3588]ir number [G1473] from the [G3588] [ones] dancing , whom [G3739] they snatched [G1283]. And [G2532] they went and [G2532] returned [G5290] unto [G1909] the [G3588]ir inheritance [G2817][G1473], and [G2532] they built up [G3618] the [G3588] cities [G4172], and [G2532] dwelt [G2730] in [G1722] them [G1473].
24: And [G2532] walked [G4043] from there [G1564] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel] in [G1722] the [G3588] that time [G2540][G1565], each man to [G1519] the [G3588] his tribe [G5443][G1473], and [G2532] to [G1519] the [G3588] his kin [G4772][G1473]; and [G2532] went forth [G1831] from there [G1564] [each] man to [G1519] the [G3588] his inheritance [G2817][G1473].
25: In [G1722] the [G3588] those days [G2250][G1565] there was not [G3756] a king in [G1722] Israel. A man the [G3588] upright [thing] in [G1722] his eyes [G3788][G1473] did [G4160].
