2 Kings Chapter 3 - | Early Church Bible

1: And [G2532] Jehoram son [G5207] of Ahab reigned in [G1722] Israel in [G1722] Samaria in [G1722] eighteenth year [G2094] of Jehoshaphat king of Judah. And [G2532] he reigned twelve [G1427] years [G2094].
2: And [G2532] he did [G4160] the [G3588] wicked [thing] [G4190] in [G1722] eyes [G3788] of Boss '[G2962], only [G4133] not [G3756] as [G5613] the [G3588] his father [G3962][G1473] and [G2532] the [G3588] his mother [G3384][G1473]. And [G2532] he removed [G3179] the [G3588] monuments of the [G3588] Baal which [G3739] made [G4160] the [G3588] his father [G3962][G1473].
3: Except [G4133] in [G1722] the [G3588] sins of Jeroboam son [G5207] of Nebat, who [G3739] led Israel into sin the [G3588], he cleaved to [G2853]; he did not [G3756] abstain from it [G1473].
4: And [G2532] Mesha king of Moab was a shepherd , and [G2532] he restored [G1994] to the [G3588] king of Israel a hundred [G1540] thousand [G5505] lambs , and [G2532] a hundred [G1540] thousand [G5505] rams with [G1909] fleece .
5: And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] after [G3326] the [G3588] dying of Ahab, Moab annulled [allegiance with [G1722] king of Israel.
6: And [G2532] went forth [G1831] the [G3588] king Jehoram] in [G1722] the [G3588] that day [G2250][G1565] from out of [G1537] Samaria, and [G2532] he numbered [G1980] the [G3588] Israel.
7: And [G2532] he went [G4198] and [G2532] sent to [G4314] Jehoshaphat king of Judah, saying [G3004], king of Moab annulled [allegiance with [G1722] me [G1473]. will [G1487] you go [G4198] with [G3326] me [G1473] unto [G1909] Moab for [G1519] war [G4171]? And [G2532] he said [G2036], I will go [G4198]; likened [G3664] to you [G1473], likened [G3664] to me [G1473]; as [G5613] the [G3588] your people [G2992][G1473], the [G3588] [so] my people [G2992][G1473]; as [G5613] the [G3588] your horses [G2462][G1473], the [G3588] [so] my horses [G2462][G1473].
8: And [G2532] he said [G2036], What [G4169] way [G3598] will we go up ? And [G2532] he said [G2036], way [G3598] of wilderness [G2048] of Edom.
9: And [G2532] went [G4198] the [G3588] king of Israel], and [G2532] the [G3588] king of Judah, and [G2532] the [G3588] king of Edom. And [G2532] they encircled [G2944] a journey [G3598] of seven [G2033] days [G2250]. And [G2532] no [G3756] there was water [G5204] for the [G3588] camp [G3925], and [G2532] for the [G3588] cattle [G2934], the [G3588] [ones] at [G1722] the [G3588]ir feet [G4228][G1473].
10: And [G2532] said [G2036] the [G3588] king of Israel], O [G5599] that [G3754] BOSS called [G2564][G2962] the [G3588] three [G5140] kings these [G3778] to deliver them up [G3860][G1473] into [G1519] hand [G5495] of Moab.
11: And [G2532] Jehoshaphat said [G2036] to [G4314] him [G1473], Is there not [G3756] here [G5602] a prophet [G4396] of the [G3588] Boss '[G2962], that [G2532] we should seek anxiously [G1934] the [G3588] Boss '[G2962] by [G3844] him [G1473]? And [G2532] answered one [G1520] of the [G3588] servants [G3816] of the [G3588] king of Israel, and [G2532] said [G2036], [is] here [G5602] Elisha son [G5207] of Shaphat], who [G3739] poured [G2022] water [G5204] upon [G1909] hands [G5495] of Elijah.
12: And [G2532] Jehoshaphat said [G2036], is with [G1722] him [G1473] word [G4487] [of the] Boss '[G2962]. And [G2532] went down [G2597] to [G4314] him [G1473] king of Israel], and [G2532] Jehoshaphat king of Judah, and [G2532] the [G3588] king of Edom.
13: And [G2532] Elisha said [G2036] to [G4314] king of Israel, What [G5100] [is there between] me [G1473] and [G2532] you [G1473]? Go [G1204] to [G4314] the [G3588] prophets [G4396] of the [G3588] father [G3962] of you [G1473], and [G2532] to [G4314] the [G3588] prophets [G4396] of the [G3588] your mother [G3384][G1473]. And [G2532] said [G2036] to him [G1473] the [G3588] king of Israel], Is it [G3361] that [G3754] BOSS calls [G2564][G2962] the [G3588] three [G5140] kings these [G3778] the [G3588] to deliver [G3860] them [G1473] into [G1519] hands [G5495] of Moab?
14: And [G2532] Elisha said [G2036], As lives [G2198] Boss '[G2962] of for the [G3588]ces [G1411], in whom [G3739] I stand [G3936] before [G1799] him [G1473], that [G3754] if it were not [G1508] face [G4383] of the [G3588] Jehoshaphat king of Judah [which] I [G1473] receive [G2983], will [G1487] I [have] looked [G1914] upon [G4314] you [G1473] or [G2228] looked [at] [G1492] you, [no [G1473].
15: And [G2532] now [G3568] bring [G2983] to me [G1473] one for strumming [G5567]! And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] as [G5613] strummed [G5567] the [G3588] [one] strumming [G5567], that [G2532] came [G1096] upon [G1909] him [G1473] hand [G5495] [of the] Boss '[G2962].
16: And [G2532] he said [G2036], Thus [G3592] says [G3004] Boss '[G2962], Make [G4160] the [G3588] this [dry] stream [G5493][G3778] cistern [upon cistern .
17: For [G3754] thus [G3592] says [G3004] Boss '[G2962], You will not see [G3756][G3708] wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151], and [G2532] you will not see [G3756][G3708] rain [G5205]; but [G2532] the [G3588] this [dry] stream [G5493][G3778] will be filled [G4130] [with] water [G5204], and [G2532] you will drink [G4095], you [G1473] and [G2532] the [G3588] your possessions [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] cattle [G2934] of you [G1473].
18: But [G2532] it [is] a light [thing] [G3778] in [G1722] eyes [G3788] of Boss '[G2962]. And [G2532] I will deliver up [G3860] the [G3588] Moab into [G1722] your hands [G5495][G1473].
19: And [G2532] you will strike [G3960] every [G3956] city [G4172] fortified , and [G2532] every [G3956] city [G4172] choice [G1588]; and [G2532] every [G3956] tree [G3586] good you will throw down [G2598], and [G2532] all [G3956] springs [G4077] of water [G5204] you will obstruct , and [G2532] every [G3956] portion [of land [G3310] good you will make useless with [G1722] stones [G3037].
20: And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] in [G1722] the [G3588] morning [G4404] of going up of the [G3588] sacrifice [G2378], that [G2532] look [G2400], waters [G5204] came [G2064] from out of [G1537] way [G3598] of Edom, and [G2532] was filled [G4130] the [G3588] land '[G1093] of the [G3588] waters [G5204].
21: And [G2532] all [G3956] Moab heard that [G3754] went up the [G3588] kings to wage war against [G4170] them [G1473], and [G2532] they yelled out from [G1537] all [sides [G3956] girding [G4024] on belt [G2223], and [G2532] [went] forward [G1883], and [G2532] they stood [G2476] at [G1909] the [G3588] border [G3725].
22: And [G2532] they rose early [G3719] in the morning [G4404], and [G2532] the [G3588] sun [G2246] rose upon [G1909] the [G3588] waters [G5204]. And [G2532] Moab looked [at] [G1492] the [G3588] waters [G5204] right opposite fiery red [G4450] as [G5616] blood .
23: And [G2532] they said [G2036], This [is] blood [G3778] of a broadsword [G4501]. did combat [G3164] the [G3588] kings , and [G2532] struck [G3960] each [G1538] man the [G3588] his neighbor [G4139][G1473]. And [G2532] now [G3568], [are] for [G1909] the [G3588] spoils [G4661] Moab.
24: And [G2532] they entered [G1525] into [G1519] the [G3588] camp [G3925] of Israel. And [G2532] Israel rose up and [G2532] struck [G3960] the [G3588] Moab. And [G2532] they fled [G5343] in front [G4383] of them [G1473]; and [G2532] they entered [G1525] going [G1531] and [G2532] beating [G5180] the [G3588] Moab.
25: And [G2532] the [G3588] cities [G4172] they demolished [G2507], and [G2532] every [G3956] portion [of land [G3310] good tossed [G4495] [each] man the [G3588] his stone [G3037][G1473], and [G2532] they filled [G1705] it [G1473]. And [G2532] every [G3956] spring [G4077] of water [G5204] they obstructed , and [G2532] every [G3956] tree [G3586] good they threw down [G2598] unto [G2193] the [G3588] leaving behind [G2641] the [G3588] stones [G3037] of the [G3588] wall [G5109] being demolished [G2507]. And [G2532] encircled [G2944] the [G3588] slingers and [G2532] struck [G3960] it [G1473].
26: And [G2532] looked [at] [G1492] the [G3588] king of Moab] that [G3754] overpowered [G2901][G5228] him [G1473] the [G3588] battle [G4171]; and [G2532] he took [G2983] with [G3326] himself [G1438] seven hundred men unsheathing [G4685] broadsword [G4501] to cut through [G4314] king of Edom; but [G2532] they were not able [G3756][G1410].
27: And [G2532] he took [G2983] the [G3588] son [G5207] of him '[G1473] the [G3588] first-born [G4416] whom [G3739] he gave reign instead of him [G1473], and [G2532] offered him [G1473] as a whole burnt-offering [G3646] upon [G1909] the [G3588] wall [G5038]. And [G2532] came to pass [G1096] repentance a great [G3173] in [G1722] Israel. And [G2532] they departed from him [G1473], and [G2532] they returned [G1994] to [G1519] the [G3588] land '[G1093].
